They both smile and move towards me.
“We told you before, smart mouth, you’re a dead man walking.”
I don’t see them, but I know the rest of their mates are behind me. When the first baseball bat swings towards me, I dodge it easily, but the second one crashes down on my shoulder and drops me to my knees.
From then on, they all pile in on me and we trade punches and headbutts for a few seconds, but there are far too many of them, even for me.
As I go down on the floor for the final time, the Doc Marten boots slam into my ribs and my head. The last thing I remember is the glint of a blade from a Stanley knife as it slashes across my face.
“Not so fucking tough now, are you? Enjoy reading about this in your newspaper, dickhead!
