Lan wiped her blood on the rune and whispered the spell to activate the barrier. She closed her eyes against the magenta flash and turned to Rhiannon. “You really think he went there?” she asked.
Green eyes narrowed. “What do you know about that place?”
Lan sheathed her sai and shook her head, moving her bangs from her eyes. “You forget, I was one of the guards that pulled you out.”
She had forgotten. Rhiannon looked at the three and nodded. “Alright. Fine. Yes, I think he’s in Mexico. I’m giving you the orders to hunt him down and bring back his head.”
“No trial?” Brad asked curiously.
Rhiannon shook her head. “He’ll continue to get out. Which is why you need to speak to Toscano and his people.”
Vanessa leaned against the wall and folded her arms over her chest. “Can’t you call your daughter? She’s got an in with one of the Chevalier already.”
“I don’t want her involved until absolutely necessary. She’s earned a chance at being happy.” Rhiannon then shook her head. “When I was there, Gus said that my other daughter is with Toscano as his guard. Mel is… cold towards me. And she has enough of my personality to completely ignore anything I have to say.”
“General,” Brad said. “Why do we need Toscano? Is it simply because of the treaty? I’m sure the woman in England, Lady Victoria, would help if we asked.”
Rhiannon nodded. “She would. But Dominic is the one we need.” Rhiannon sighed and checked the halls. “Because only an Unseelie Prince can kill an Unseelie Prince.”
