“I know, Mom. I don’t ever want to leave Declan either. Are you going to be okay by yourself though?” I ask.
“Oh, Honey. I know it’s been just you and me for the longest time, but I promise you, I’ll be just fine.”
“I love you, Mom, in case I haven’t told you that enough,” I say with tears in my eyes.
“I love you more, Kendall,” she replies. Declan comes back in and finds my mother hugging me again and wiping tears off of each other’s faces. It’s something we’ve always done. When I was a little girl and I’d cry because my father never showed up or I got a skinned knee and would be crying, she’d wipe my tears off and then she’d start crying because I was crying. So, we made it our thing.
I smile at him when we’re through, “I’ll see you soon, Mom.”
"See you soon, Honey,” she says as she walks us to the door.
“You okay?” Declan asks once we’re on our way home.
“I’m perfect, just a little emotional. I think I’m tired from work and it compounded my feelings,” I say with a smile on my face.
“As long as you’re sure,” he says as he brings my hand up to his mouth and kisses the back of my hand.
“I’m positive.” I can’t wait to get home, unpack, and take a much-needed nap before I have to start the work week all over again.
Chapter Twenty-One
Declan
Kendall was up early this morning and out the door. I took a day off, something I’m trying to do more of. Well, not days off, but definitely not working long and grueling hours.
Today is different though. I called my mother last night and asked her to meet me for brunch and some shopping. She screamed through the phone in excitement. She knew exactly the kind of shopping I was asking her to do with me.
I should probably ask Amanda, Kendall’s mom, to go with us, but I wanted to do this with my mom. Then I’m going to stop by Amanda’s house on my way home tonight and ask her for her daughter’s hand in marriage.
You usually ask the father, but I know for a fact Kendall would never want that. Plus, it’s not like anyone knows where he is anyway.
I’m waiting at my table for my mom to grace me with her presence. She’s always what she likes to say, “fashionably late.”
I call it more like I see it. She got sidetracked doing something else and then waited until the last minute to get ready.
While I’m waiting, Jake calls. He gave up on finding Larissa a month ago. He couldn’t find her, and apparently, she didn’t want to be found. It was hard to watch him go through that. Instead, he sunk himself into work and barely comes up for air.
“Hey, Buddy,” I say into the phone.
“Hey, Declan. I hate to bother you, but we may have a problem,” I’m thinking to myself what could we possibly have a problem with when he responds, “The manufacturer we use here in Michigan wants to start farming out their work overseas to cut down on production costs.”
“That’s not going to happen. Do you need me to call or do you want to set up a meeting with them to discuss terminating their contract?” I ask.
“I’ll set up a meeting, but I think it would be better if both of us were present,” he grouses.
“That’s fine. Set up the meeting and I’ll be there. I gotta go. Mom just showed up,”
“Give her my love,” he says.
“Sure will,” I click off the phone and get up to hug and kiss my mom.
“Declan, I’m so proud of you.” She says with tears in her eyes. Her and Dad have met Kendall numerous times and they get along great. In fact, when Mom calls the house, she usually talks to Kendall more than she talks to me.
“Thank you, Mom. I already ordered for us.”
“Someone’s excited,” she says as we sit down in our seats.
“I can’t wait to make her mine. She’s been mine since the very beginning, but this solidifies it to the outside world,” I grumble.
“You are so much like your father. It’s uncanny. Where Brian is more like me,” she laughs. It’s the truth.
The waitress comes and brings us our food and we tuck into our meal.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Kendall
It’s official. The plague has finally hit me. I’m excused from work and now another flight attendant will be taking my place.
Max was getting off of work, so he offered to drive me home. Declan said he had an important meeting today, so I sent him a quick text letting him know I was going home and piling into bed.
I walk up the steps. They’re grueling to say the least. As soon as I strip out of my clothes, I unmake the bed and dive in. I’m going to sleep as much of this off as I can.
I fall asleep only to wake up shivering. So, I pile on clothes and add an extra blanket on top and then go back to sleep, only to wake up dripping in sweat. I can’t win for nothing.
I absentmindedly look at the time on my phone before my eyes get drowsy again and fall back asleep.
Tossing and turning is not my idea of getting sleep, but it’ll have to do until I get better.
“Leave me alone,” I grumble to the person trying to wake me up from my sleep.
“Kendall, Baby. Wake up. You need to wake up for me.” I hear desperation in Declan’s voice. I roll over and see that it’s already dark outside.
“I’m okay. I promise. I didn’t mean to scare you, but I feel like shit and need sleep,” I grouse and roll into the pillow beside me.
“Fuck, Kendall. Why didn’t you call or text me that you were sick? I would have dropped everything to get to you,” he says as he arranges the blankets back around my shoulders.
“I did. My phone is right there,” I point to where it’s sitting next to the extra pillows.
“I never got anything.” He grabs my phone and checks it.
“I’m going back to sleep,” starting to doze off again. I hear him chuckle, “At least your phone is okay. It was never sent. I’m going to go make you some chicken noodle soup and bring you up some medicine with a Gatorade.”
“My hero,” I sigh. I truly mean that. I should have done that on my way up here, but sleep was calling my name.
“Be right back.” He kisses my forehead as I settle back in. I decide to try and stay up, so I turn on the television, getting lost in some reality show when Declan comes back.
“That was fast,” I say to him as he sets the tray down over my lap.
“Didn’t want you up here alone in case you got sicker.” I hear the worry in his voice, and I hate like hell that it’s there.
I grab his hand and say, “I promise I’m okay.”
“Still hate that I can’t get you better and that this shit has to run its fucking course.” You can hear the concern he still has in his voice and I hate to even bring it up, but I have to. He can’t get sick too.
“Speaking of, you should probably stay clear of me. So, you won’t get sick, too,”
“Like fucking hell.” he grouses, as he sits down right beside me, and watches over me like a mother hen. I have a feeling he’ll be in this same spot. It’s just a matter of time.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Declan
Kendall called it. A week later I was laid up in bed. She wore a mask to keep from getting the flu again. It also pissed me off, because I still didn’t have my ring on her finger.
When we were both feeling better, Kendall commandeered me and said, “Let’s go. I already cleared your calendar with Jake and packed our bags. The jet is waiting for us.”
“Fuck, but I love you.” That snuck out. I wanted to tell her that I loved her in a different setting.
“I’ve known you loved me from the very beginning, Declan. You don’t have to say it to prove your love to me. You show me in everything you do, in every way you take care of me. It’s me that should be embarrassed that I haven’t told you that I love you, yet. I do, you know. I love you with every depth of my being. I was made for you,” she declares.
I don’t give her anot
her chance to say anything else. My hands land on her hips and I bring her into my body and kiss her deeply. She’s on her toes trying to give me everything she’s got and I’m giving her all of me.
We pull back from one another. I look down into her eyes as she looks up into mine.
“I love you, Declan,” she whispers out.
“I love you,” I respond. I pull her out the door and grab our two bags that were sitting by the front door, heading out to the car.
We’re on our way to the airport when she asks, “Do you want to know where we’re going?”
“As long as it’s with you, I don’t care,”
“Well, in that case I’ll tell you. It took me getting your parents involved to get this put together, and you never, not once told me you had a place in Aruba,” she’s smiling.
“I know who had a hand in this,” I say with a chuckle.
“She sure did. Thank goodness someone did. I was telling her I was looking online for an all-inclusive resort when she told me about your family home down there.”
“I should have told you. It slipped my mind. I can’t wait to get you down there and keep you in nothing but a bathing suit. How long are we going for?” I ask.
“A full week and the surprises don’t stop there,” she says with sass in her voice.
“Better watch out, I may have a few up my sleeve as well,” I respond as we pull into the air strip. I’ve never been more thankful for the big piece of metal sitting right there.
I help her out of the car, before grabbing our bags.
We make our way inside and it’s as immaculate as ever. Yet, there’s one thing missing.
“Do we have the jet for ourselves,” I question her.
“We sure do. Well, except the two pilots,” she says with a wink. I take our bags and put them in the back bedroom, then come out and sit down with her until it’s time for take-off.
I know what I want to do to her during our three-hour flight.
Chapter Twenty-Four
Kendall
As soon as the seat belt light goes off, I make my way to the back bedroom. I wanted to surprise Declan with something that will stick with him for the rest of his life. I bought a naughty flight attendant outfit on a whim hoping one day I could make this fantasy come true.
“Where are you going?” Declan asks.
“I’ll be right back. I left something in my bag,” I respond.
“I’ll go get it. Take a break, baby. I want you well rested for our time away.” He’s trying to derail me from my plans, but I won’t let him.
“Declan, it’ll only take a few minutes. Sit tight.” I move around his grabbing hands before he can get up and do anything else.
Rushing to the room. I start stripping out of my cotton sundress and sandals. I find just what I’m looking for.
I ordered this outfit online and only got to look at it before I had to hide it from not only my mom while I was still living there, but from Declan. Hiding anything from Declan present wise, I’m noticing, is harder than I ever expected.
I change quickly into the outfit and snap the garters in place, step into my sky-high heels, now glad I decided to leave my hair down. I make sure my outfit is in place before walking back to him.
The pilot’s door is locked, and I know they won’t disturb us.
“Mr. Williams,” I say in a sultry voice as I make my way to him. I have a tray of refreshments in my hand. I lean down so he can see my breasts that are barely concealed in this outfit.
“Fuck, Kendall,” he groans. I see the heat in his gaze, and the way his eyes don’t leave my chest. His hand is already gliding up my thigh high and I know this won’t last long. He’ll have me flat on my back in no time.
“Can I get you anything?” I rasp as his fingers hit the lace of my now drenched panties.
“You. In my lap. Right now,” he growls and lifts me by the hips and I’m straddling his waist now.
Thank goodness the seats on the plane are more like couches. As soon as I’m in his lap, he pulls down my top and has a nipple in his mouth while he’s unbuckling his pants. I push up to help him, then his hands are at the gusset of my panties and he’s wrenching them to the side as he impales me on his cock.
“Declan!” I scream out. I can already feel on orgasm on the cusp.
“Ride me, Kendall. Just like that.” I grind down as he thrusts up. We both move together. I feel him grow inside me, and we come together.
“Best surprise ever,” he rasps.
“No kidding.” I lay my lips on his throat and kiss him.
“Let’s go clean up and rest in bed for a little bit,” he suggests, picking me up. He’s always getting carried away when it comes to holding me. I usually mumble something about being able to walk on my own, but this time I don’t. I love being wrapped up in him.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Declan
We arrive at the beachfront home, or rather, mini mansion. My parents, my brother, and I went in on it, to make it a true family home. We can use it anytime we want or allow a friend to use it, but occasionally we rent it out. It’s five bedrooms, has a pool, and is only steps away from a private beach. It’s so private in fact you could do some skinny dipping in the evening with no one around.
“Declan, this isn’t a house. It’s a mansion!” she says, and her mouth is hanging open.
“Well, yeah. Maybe. Mom and Dad wanted it big enough for when Brian and I each have a family of our own and we can bring them all here and have a vacation,” I explain to her.
Her face melts, “I love that.”
We make our way to one of the three master suits in the house. We all sort of claimed our own area and that’s where I’m leading Kendall.
Our suite has an uninterrupted view of the ocean. Tomorrow morning, when she wakes up, it’ll be with breakfast in bed and a diamond on her finger.
“Ready to get your bathing suit on and go down to the water?” Kendall asks. She’s already in hers. It’s another one piece, yet it’s alluring on her figure. It shows her body off yet keeps things to the imagination. One I know only I can unwrap.
This one is white with olive green stripes and strapless. I could just pull down her top and her breasts would be bare to me. I’d take my time working her up with licking them, slowly sucking them, and then giving her a little bit of pain. I know she loves when I bite down on them.
“Let me put some shorts on and grab a couple of towels. Don’t forget the sunscreen!” I holler as I go to my suitcase and pull out my swim trunks. She’s already walking down the hallway. I go into the bathroom and grab the sunscreen just in case.
I don’t want her burnt and miserable while we’re down here.
“Hey, Declan.” She has a twinkle in her eye. I have a feeling she’s up to something again. Her spontaneity has really shown lately and I’m the lucky bastard that gets to see it.
She darts out the back door running down the pathway to the beach. I chase after her and throw the items I grabbed in the lounge chair as she runs into the water. I’m almost to her when she dives into the water.
The water is so clear down here, I can see exactly where she is. When she bobs back up to the surface, I go after her, picking her up. Kendall wraps her legs around my waist and kisses me. Her top lowers a little more and if she’s not careful my mouth will be full of her out here in the open.
Chapter Twenty-Six
Kendall
I wake up and reach for Declan, the sheets are cool to the touch. I know he’s not been in bed for a while and it’s enough to make me pout. I wanted to wake up wrapped in his arms.
“Good morning, sleepy head,” he says as he walks in with a tray of food in his hands. I sit up and the sheet falls and bares my breasts to him. His eyes heat and the smirk that he wears only for me lights up my world.
“Morning, Declan,” I breathe out. He puts the tray over my lap. My breasts remaining bare for him.
“How am I supposed to feed you when all I want t
o do is eat you?” he says as he comes to sit beside me. His fingers are lightly tracing my pebbled nipples. I moan when he kisses down the slope of my neck.
The way Declan makes me feel with just a look and then with just a few heated touches. It makes me want to forget entirely about breakfast and live off of him.
“Don’t stop,” I breathe out.
Unfortunately, he does, and while my hands were grabbing at his hair one of his hands found my left hand. I look down at our hands and see him sliding a ring on my finger. My tears are falling down my cheeks unchecked as he says, “I need you as my wife, Kendall. I want you to be the mother of my children. I want to make as many memories as possible with you. I just want you, for the rest of my life.”
I hurriedly move the tray to the side and launch my naked body into his arms and scream, “Yes! Yes! Yes! I’m yours forever, Declan.”
Breakfast is soon forgotten, and we end up a naked mess. Food was brought into the equation, and not only did Declan eat me, he ate off of me. I had to return the favor with the syrup he brought in with the pancakes.
It was one sweet filled breakfast and I’ll probably never look at strawberries the same. My nipples were lathered in the juices after he took a bite and squeezed them down my body.
By the time we were done making love, our sheets were ruined and a shower wasn’t just a need. It was a necessity.
This morning had to be one of the best days I could ever have. I can’t wait to look back on this day and explain to our children how our love came to life.
