Little Doll: Queens of Chaos 1 Page 30

by L. J. Findlay

I am also hugely grateful for the amazing, online book community. I have been very much on the sidelines since I read my first indie romance book, following the occasional author, but I am so glad to be a part of it and to have met some incredibly inspiring women. It has taught me so much about the indie publishing world as well as just making some awesome friends. There are so many people I could name but I’m particularly grateful for the Rona Writers and all your support. Keep writing and I can’t wait to read all your stories!

My editor, Emma Luna, deserves a standing ovation of thanks as she has been invaluable in both editing and guiding a newbie author through this minefield of publishing. Little Doll would not be in the shape it is without her thorough and imaginative editing, proofreading and formatting. Not only has she helped with that, she’s also been so helpful with getting my name and stories out there with amazing advice and graphics. She also has the patience of a saint with all the panics I had about my book baby, so thank you Emma!

She also introduced me to the fab PA, Claire Douglas, who has been so useful with all her wisdom about social media as well as being a fab author.

In terms of design, a huge thanks has to go to my awesome designer, Shona Andrew at Spikyshooz Design. Little Doll has such a gorgeous cover and it’s entirely thanks to her creativity and patience. I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted the cover to be but somehow, despite my vague brief, she managed to create a cover that is just perfect as well as some fantastic chapter heads. Thank you, Shona!

In addition, a big thanks goes to my early readers. My beta readers, Victoria, Taylor, Danielle, Kat, Libby, Crystal and Cassie, were instrumental in helping me edit Little Doll as well as giving me the confidence that my writing was something that people wanted to read. Thank you as well for your patience as the beta reading happened fairly early on and I didn’t really know much at all, so thank you for your patience and for your belief.

Thank you as well to my awesome ARC team and all the bloggers. I’ve been blown away by the sheer support I’ve received from all of you. As a newbie author, it was surreal but so affirming to hear all the kind things you had to say. I couldn’t stop shaking when I had my first review! It really was an out-of-body experience. You all know who you are so thank you all so much for taking a chance on me and my book baby.

Thank you also to all the amazing readers who’ve joined LJ’s Gintastic Group – it’s been fantastic to have you guys on board for all the updates, craziness and just getting to know you all. Thanks for sticking with me and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!

Lastly, I want to say a huge thanks again to you, my beautiful readers. Thank you for taking a chance on reading Little Doll and I hope you enjoy all that’s to come. I can’t wait to share all of my future stories with you!

  Keep in Contact!

  About the Author

L.J. Findlay is a romance author based in London, UK, and has been dreaming up stories for as long as she can remember. Since graduating Liverpool uni, she has moved back to London to start a career in media sales but, in true lockdown style, has found the time to put pen to paper.

Other than writing dark and twisted tales, and confusing her family as to how she has imagined such plotlines, she loves reading other stories and loves a good romance. L.J Findlay also enjoys spending time with her friends and exploring different bars and markets around London. Occasionally, if she’s feeling good, she’ll go to the gym but she’d much rather have a gin. She also loves to travel and see as much of the world as possible.
