Two and a half hours later he slammed his way out of the abandoned warehouse where today’s game was held. He had never lost so bad; it was all Detective Conahan’s fault. He couldn’t get the word psychopath out of his head. It haunted him all night long, made his dreams into nightmares and pushed his anger to new heights. He stalked out to his car and started it up. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel and debated what to do next. The longer he sat there, the angrier he became. He leaned back in his seat and pulled his phone out of his pocket.
With a growl, he dialed the hotline and waited for someone to answer. As soon as a voice was heard he growled. “Put Detective Conahan on the phone right now.” The voice replied something but he didn’t even bother responding, he waited impatiently for the voice he needed to hear.
“Detective Conahan here.”
“It’s about time you answered the phone. How was your evening, did you find my present?”
“Sorry I don’t sit around waiting for psychopaths to call randomly. I have real work to do.”
“It’s your fault he had to die. Why do you persist in calling me names?”
“My mama always taught me I can only control my actions, not yours. You killed him, that’s on you. And I’m only calling you the names that fit. Normal people don’t go around killing people for any reason, not even so-called science.”
“So-called science? Now you mock my reasoning. Well, what would you say if he wasn’t the second? The police aren’t as good as they think.”
“If he wasn’t the second, who was? Where’s the body? Don’t psychopaths like you like to brag about your superiority?”
“See, I’m not bragging. Just stating a simple fact, you didn’t find the second: Tennessee, a small town just over the Georgia border. Really run down, ramshackle actually, she's in a wooded lot. Good luck Detective.” He slammed his thumb onto the end button. That was not how he wanted the call to go, but he used that name twice.
He tossed the phone on the seat next to him and slammed his hand into the steering wheel a few times. He pulled out onto the road and tried not to speed, or call attention to himself as he headed north. The word psychopath kept running on repeat in his head. He wasn’t sure how long he drove or where he was at, but it felt like he suddenly woke up.
He was on another deserted road, and his luck was turning. Up ahead he saw a lone figure walking, he smiled and for the first time that day. He pulled up beside the man and rolled down the window. “Hey, you need a ride man?” The hitchhiker turned and peered at him, he was older than he expected, but he still fits the bill. “Nah, I’m just taking a stroll. I’m not in a hurry, and no one is waiting on me.” He smiled and tapped his hand on the window and started walking away.
The Professor watched him for a minute and contemplated the best way to get his man. He shut the car off and climbed out, “Do you know anything about cars? Mine started making a ticking noise a couple of miles back. I have some oil in my trunk; I thought I could add it to the engine until I can find a service station. But, I honestly don’t know where it goes.”
The hitchhiker laughed and turned back, “yeah, I can help with that. Pop the hood and grab the oil.”
He leaned down into the car to pull the latch and then walked back to the trunk. Instead of the oil, he grabbed the crowbar and walked up to the figure leaned over the hood.
“It’s too hot to open with my bare hand, do you have a rag I can use?”
The Professor stepped behind him and raised his arm “No, but I don’t really need your help, but thank you for being here anyway.” The hitchhiker started to turn, and the Professor slammed the crowbar into the side of his head. He fell onto the hot engine, and the professor smiled. Well, a little burn was a bonus, he waited a moment longer for the heat to soak into his exposed skin and then pushed him to the ground.
The hitchhiker flopped down and didn’t move; he leaned over him. “Are you really dead already? That wasn’t even worth my time.” He stood up and walked over to the passenger side of his car to grab the marker again. This time he wrote across both his arms. Stop calling me a psychopath. This was not even a fun kill. You took that away from me too. Professor
Thankfully there was a lot less blood this time, he hardly even had to clean up. He shook his head at his fanciful thoughts and walked to the trunk, tossing in the crowbar and slamming the lid closed. He climbed in the car and backed up; he didn’t want to add insult to injury by running the guy over. It might smear his message.
He continued driving for a bit, this time paying attention to where he was. Couldn’t really plan his next move if he didn’t know his location. His mind wandered over everything that had happened that day. The hitchhiker didn’t make him feel better, it was a message, and that was it. He needed to stick to his pattern and see what worked and what didn’t. Just random killing was pointless and served no purpose.
As he drove he started to see more houses and buildings; it appeared he was getting close to civilization again. Within a few minutes, he saw a sign that said Louisiana state line. Well now this was interesting, should be lots of fun to be had here. He stopped at the first town he came to and searched Google for a local library. It was time to reach out to the crime blogger and have her reach out to Detective Conahan. He was no longer calling him; the detective didn’t deserve his respect or his communication.
He used GPS on his cell phone and drove the ten minutes to a local internet cafe. He entered and walked to the back, paid for an hour on the computer. He picked one on in the back away from anyone else. He pulled out the piece of paper he had written what he hoped was the correct blog site and clicked the contact button that appeared on the bottom.
Hello Ms. Jasmine,
I heard you at the press conference, and I thought you and I could chat. My name is the Professor, of course, it’s not my real name, but you know that. I guess you want me to prove it’s me right. Well contact Detective Conahan, and he can confirm we spoke on the phone twice. I also told him that I had killed three people. Two hookers and one hitchhiker, now that number is now four. Two and two, I'm thinking I need to make it an even three/two. You know a full house. Would you like to guess if I go after another hooker or a hitchhiker?
Detective Conahan is no longer worthy of my time and respect. I was hoping you, and I could have a better relationship. So, I ask you to pass my messages along to the Detective, and in return, I will give you an exclusive interview. Of course, not in person. I don’t want to be caught just yet, and I don’t want you too scared of me.
P.S. Please find out how their relationship is progressing. I find myself quite curious and pass on one message. Boone, Tennessee.
Chat soon
The Professor
He sat back in his chair and smiled. He was starting to feel better; his anger was melting away. It was much nicer when you weren’t being called a psychopath. Communication was easier at the very least. He checked the time and decided to leave early and grab a bite to eat. He scooted his chair back, nodded to the clerk on duty and walked out whistling a tune. The air was slightly cool outside, so he decided to stroll around a bit and see what the town had to offer.
People ambled by him and smiled, they said hello, and he nodded back. This town was a novelty, but he was enjoying it so far. Up ahead he could hear music and a sign that said ‘Great tunes, better food here.’ He didn’t care what it was called, but with a sign like that, he was going to give it a shot. As he approached the doors, the music got louder, and he winced at it. It might be too loud, but it could also help drown out the worst of his thoughts. He pushed open the door and realized the music was a lot quieter inside. A hostess stood at a podium and smiled at him. “Could I just sit at the bar please?” She nodded and waved him by. He heard the door open behind him, so he stepped past her and took in the room. It was a typical bar, but the smells were amazing. He took a stool at the bar and leaned to the side so he was against the wall and no one could walk up behin
d him.
“Welcome to the bar. What can I get you tonight?”
He turned his head to see a tall, striking redhead standing next to him. “Hello, ma’am, can I have the house specialty and whatever’s on draft?” She knocked on the bar in front of him and smiled. He watched her walk away for a minute then the TV above the bar caught his eye. “Ma’am can you turn the TV up please.”
She turned around and glanced up at the TV, “oh yeah I wanted to see the latest on that whack job they call the Professor.” She turned the TV up never looking over her shoulder at him.
His hands were fisted so tightly they appeared completely albino white. “Yes, it’s an interesting case isn’t it.”
She laughed and walked away, calling over her shoulder. “That’s one way to put it.”
He tried to ignore her words because he wanted to know what the news had to say. Did they have any leads on him yet? After a few minutes, they went to commercial, having teased about a segment on him. The bartender dropped his food and drink off then walked away. He tuned out the noise around him and ate his food in peace. Halfway through his delicious meal the news came back on and started the segment with “Update on the psychopath known as the Professor.” He tossed his burger onto his plate, pulled out a twenty and tossed it on the bar and walked out. Who the fuck did they think they were calling him a psychopath. He would show them; they were going to pay. Each and every one of them.

Remi
Remi slammed the phone down in annoyance. This day had started out with such promise. He’d woken wrapped around Knox for the first time, and it felt like coming home. It was surreal how natural it felt. It was a feeling he never wanted to let go of. For a moment he flashed back there to that bed and the magic they’d created.
“Morning sexy, not that I’m complaining or anything but what has you smiling like that? I figured you’d be freaking out about this by now.”
Remi shrugged, “Maybe, I’ve decided to stop fighting this. The feel of you wrapped around me is doing things to my mind I think. All I can think about is tasting you again.”
Knox grabbed Remi and pulled him in for a deep, soul-searing kiss. Long seconds passed as they fought for possession of each other’s mouths. Remi wasn’t willing to stay passive this time. He wasn’t in shock, he knew what he wanted, and he was going to fight for it.
He pushed Knox onto his back and laid his body over his. The feel of his erection pressed against his, sent his lust skyrocketing. “I think we need to remove some clothes to make this work properly.”
Knox laughed, “I’m a god, remember. Consider it done.”
In the next second, Remi hissed as he felt every inch of their skin touching for the first time. “God, that feels amazing.”
“Well I am one, but not the one people usually call out to in bed.”
Remi burst out into laughter at the words, “you know I don’t usually laugh when I’m in bed with someone. This has to be a first.”
“As long as you’re not laughing when we’re having sex, then I’m all good with it. Now crying on the other hand as long as it's from the amount of ecstasy you’re in is all good anytime.”
“You’re cocky as shit for someone who claims to be a god, but hasn’t done anything to make me worship you.”
“Babe, in this instance I plan on worshiping you, especially that fine as hell cock I got to see the other night. I’ve been dreaming of it.”
Remi opened his mouth to reply, but before he could he was flipped over, and Knox began to kiss his way down his body.
“Can I mark you, so when we go into the station everyone will see you belong to me.”
“Fuck.” Remi cursed as he felt Knox suck on his collar bone. He’d never realized that could be such a turn on, or maybe it was combined with his words that made it so.
“Yes, I think it's sexy too. God, you taste so good, I’ll never be able to get enough of you.”
“Knox, please.” Remi pleaded as he felt the other man kiss lower until he stopped at his nipple.
“Ever thought of getting a piercing? I could come just thinking of playing with it and watching you writhe beneath me in need.”
Remi bit his lip as he felt the liquid heat of Knox’s mouth on his nipple, he’d never gotten so turned on by such a simple thing. But as Knox lightly nipped his bud, he felt his body arch off the bed. It was involuntary almost like his body was being pulled by unseen strings to get closer to the feeling.
“Yes, baby. That’s it. You’re so hot when you moan for me like that. I can’t wait to take your cock into my mouth and worship it. How does it feel to have a god want to pay homage to you?”
Remi growled in frustrated need, “Stop talking and start doing.”
Knox laughed and then lowered his mouth just over Remi’s straining cock. He glanced up and locked eyes with Remi’s lust-filled gaze before licking the tip. “I was right; you taste delicious.”
“Fucking hell, that’s sexy. Knox please.” He begged.
Knox grinned, winked and then ran his tongue from root to tip and circled the head, before taking him into his mouth finally.
Remi couldn't speak as he felt the wet heat engulf his cock, he lost all sense of anything but that sensation. In all the years he’d been sexually active, nothing had felt like this. He felt the head of the cock bump against Knox’s throat, and he groaned at the tightness that enveloped him.
The next thing he knew he was shaking in bliss as he felt the vibrations of Knox humming as it massaged his cock in ways he’d never dreamed possible. He was so close to cumming. “Stop, oh god. I can’t believe I’m saying stop.”
Knox pulled off and crawled up, so they were face to face, “You don’t have to call me a god, you know. I answer to Knox, baby, my love or any other term of endearment you want to use for me.”
Remi licked his lips, “Baby, fuck me please.”
Knox groaned, “I never thought I’d hear those words coming out of your mouth. You have supplies? I don’t have anything you can get, my kind doesn’t get mortal illnesses, but I’ll use a condom if you want me too.”
That was one major positive of being with a Norse God Remi thought, “In that case, I want to feel you, all of you. In the nightstand drawer, hurry, damn you. We don’t have all morning.”
“Patience,” Knox laughed as he leaned over to reach the drawer, “I’m not rushing this now that I finally got you where I want you. Everything else can wait the extra hour, I promise.”
“Wow, you must be confident in your stamina. I think that’s pretty fucking hot. Now hurry the fuck up before I do this myself and stop waiting on you.” Remi reached between their bodies and gripped his aching cock in his hand. “I’m so close, baby.”
Knox swore as he scrambled back and shoved Remi’s hand out of the way, “Only way you’re coming is if I’m inside you, love. Back away from the cock, that belongs to me.”
Remi smirked and drew his legs up and apart so Knox could settle better. “Give me the lube, and move or get to work. My ass isn’t going to fuck itself.”
“You like to top from the bottom or is this a special occasion? Do you like to give and take?” Knox asked as he popped the lid and let the cold liquid drip down causing Remi to gasp at the cold sensation hit his overheated skin.
“Top usually, but I don’t mind both sides.” Remi squirmed as he felt himself being stretched slowly, “Shit, that feels so good, babe.”
Knox bit his lip and smiled, “Damn, if you're not the hottest thing I’ve ever had in my bed. I never want this to end.”
“Stop talking damn it. I want to feel you; I’m ready. I like a little bit of burn, show me you can take charge and make me feel it.”
Knox growled as he pulled his hand away and lined his cock up, “Careful what you ask for, love. I’ll make it so you’ll wince every time you sit for a week if that’s what you want. Everyone will know this sexy piece of ass is mine and only mine from now on.”
Remi sucked
in a sharp breath as he felt for the first time just how thick Knox’s cock was. He had just a moment to think he’d made a mistake, but then the pleasure began, and no other thought was left. The feel of his man pressing inside was the sweetest torture.
“Fucking Hell,” Knox cried out, “You’re so hot and tight. Stop squeezing like that. Holy shit on a shingle, are you trying to kill me?”
Remi couldn’t talk as sensation filled him; there was only the two of them in the world; everything else has disappeared. He could feel Knox’s hot breath as he panted over him, eyes ablaze with need and love.
“I hope you’re ready Remi because I have to move.”
“Yes, please.” Remi croaked out between parched lips. He never wanted anything as much as wanted this. He could feel Knox pull out slowly before he surged forward again filling him. His whole body shook as tremors surged down his arms and legs. “Yes, baby right there.” He pleaded.
Knox grunted and picked up speed with his strokes. Remi babbled and moaned, but that’s all he was capable of at this point. He felt his orgasm building quickly, he clenched his muscles, hoping Knox would be close.
“Almost there; wait for me.” Knox pleaded.
Seconds later Remi felt his whole body began to spasm. He saw stars and moons, rainbows and shooting stars. He must have blacked out because the next thing he knew Knox was beside him, pulling Remi into his arms.
“By the Gods, babe. I’m never letting you go. That right there was proof we belong together. The worlds collided when we came as one. You are my everything.”
“Detective Conahan, are you with us or daydreaming about your boy toy again?”
Remi scowled at the asshole cop who stood there glaring at him. “What?”
The cop rolled his eyes, “I asked if you needed me or could I go back to manning the phones now?”
