He gave a single nod.

  Izzie thought she might never swallow again past the lump in her throat. ‘Oh, Justin, I don’t know what to say.’

  One of his eyebrows raised a touch. ‘Yes?’

  She laughed and sobbed all at once, let Justin pull her into his arms.

  She had it all – her special day had turned out very special this time.

  At that moment, she fancied she felt Nan’s presence, her guiding hand lighting the path to happiness for them both. The right path this time, the one that was always meant to be.

  Izzie was home.
