She looked at him with suspicion but he ignored it, giving her a smirk. Back to normal then, no trace of his prior uneasiness. She let out a breath of relief. Perhaps his news wouldn’t be too bad.

  “What’s that?”

  “The Empress.”

Phina tried to swallow but found it difficult because of the sudden dryness in her throat. Her heart raced as she struggled with her nerves and lost. A growing sense of excitement and anxiousness filled her.

  “What about her?”

  “She wants to meet you.”

Thank you so much for reading, not just the first book in the series of The Empress’ Spy, but my first book ever! :) I’m soo excited that you finally have it in your hands!

It’s been quite a journey to get to this point. First, before I go any further I need to thank a few people because without them this book wouldn’t have been written.

I’m back! I moved them all to Acknowledgements because… well, the list kept growing… and growing… so, it needed its own section! Shh! Just don’t forget to read it before you go because those amazing people deserve others to know how awesome they are. :)

Did I mention I’m super excited that you are finally here and have read Diplomatic Recruit? I hope you enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next book!

  Who am I?

S.E. Weir is short for my name, Sarah Elizabeth Weir. If you know personality type things (which I love!) then you will know a lot by my telling you that I’m an INFJ 9. In a nutshell that means I’m an introverted, imaginative, feeler and planner who likes (practically craves) peace and quiet, dislikes conflict, and wants everyone to be their best self while letting everyone else be their best self.
