To find the ancient long lost mode
I long to walk on the Ashcroft Road
An ode to you my special one
May the story be…often told
I long for the day but I’ll wait forever
When I sleep with you on the Ashcroft Road
My love for you like a burning thirst
Like the secrets of the universe
A key to the door of your humble abode
To rest my soul on the Ashcroft Road
An ode to you my sweet young girl
A kiss to set us free
The search will end when I find my heart
That lingers on the Ashcroft Road
The river floats into the stream
The truth isn’t always as it seems
What matters is the final episode
When my feet set foot on the Ashcroft Road
A second chance or a play on words?
THE END (REPRISE)
Let’s have another drink my love
For the end is coming soon
So let’s stay here, we’ll be together
And await this day of doom
Every story has an ending
Ours will be no different
But what makes us think it is tragedy
That will end our history
When the ending comes
Let’s meet on our ground
Do you know what we’ve found?
Do you know what we’ve found?
We have…Heaven…and Earth
THE END
