Beyond the Blue Girl Page 13

Katie was not really attracted to him at all anymore but she still stayed with him for the security. They ended up getting married and went on a cheap skate honeymoon to Spain. Katie was very ungrateful and awkward the whole trip and she often longed to return to her days in London with Simon prancing around the fancy bars and restaurants eating and drinking the best quality products with the upmarket people. She missed the high life a lot and was always sad that she was tossed away in such a cruel manner by Simon. Her resentment, however, was always aimed at Steve. It was a sad situation for him.

She cheated on him from time to time with clients from the strip club who were attractive. They were always tall, bad boy, alpha male types but nothing like Simon’s level, just run of the mill dudes who wanted some fun with a hot chick. Steve never found out and never wanted to find out either, he was a complete and utter cuck of the highest order. They had a huge fall out not long after the honeymoon and he cried like a silly little girl. Katie just pitied him but she stuck with him for the safety factor and the fact she wanted an obedient man to have kids with as she was sure some alpha male guy would leave her a single mother and once again depressed and lonely only with a child or two to look after. This is what Katie, the blue-eyed girl, who went beyond what her mind was really capable off was trying to avoid her whole life. It’s a shame she had to settle for something less than she actually craved deep down but this could be said about a lot of woman.

When a woman gets married, the white dress is meant to symbolise purity. In older times, a man would not marry a woman unless she was a virgin. This was no longer the case – right or wrong. She had managed somehow to escape a horrible childhood and gained a lot of unique experiences during her time in London mingling with the elites and being able to spend a lot of money without a care in the world. She had grown older and wiser but was eternally damaged from her past and this would never change.

One sunny day in July, Katie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She was sure it was Steve’s but she had been cheating on him a lot before she found out she was pregnant, so she was not one hundred percent sure of this. Steve only got sex once every two weeks or so, if he pandered enough and Katie could bring herself to pretend she enjoyed sex with him as he was useless in bed and never showed nearly enough dominance or aggression. She did miss some of the kinky sex she partook in during her glory days in London but was not as bothered about it these days as she was older and felt she had got most of it out of her system now.

She named her new baby daughter Hallie and the feeling she got when she gave birth and became a mother for the first time was the happiest Katie had ever been in her mostly sad and miserable life. The unconditional love and admiration she had for that little girl filled her damaged heart and soul with nothing but pure joy and fulfilment. The bond she felt was so strong and it really did change her life for the better. Steve was a great dad to this child despite the fact she may not have been his and he also loved the little girl with all his heart. He managed to get a promotion at work and was earning more money now. Katie gave up the stripping and became a full time mother and she began to study at night classes as Steve’s parents lived nearby and they were more than happy to help out looking after their first-born grandchild. She chose criminology as her main subject and found it very interesting and she already had a lot of experience with street level and very high-level criminals. She hoped one day to do a master’s degree on the subject but she was just happy to be doing something productive with her life for a change.

One night after her night class was finished, she was waiting in the car park for Steve to pick her up and go home. Her phone rang and she assumed it was Steve but the number was from an international code. She had no idea who it was, probably a cold caller from a marketing company or a wrong number maybe. It was a cold caller, just not the one she expected.

  “Hello,” she said.

“Hello Katie, how are you, my dear? Have you missed me?”

Her heart sank and butterflies flew around her belly at the speed of a thousand gazelles – it was Simon!
