Wings & Roots (The Scions Book 3)

by Gemma Weir

Almost a year ago I was jealous of Nova and Valentine. I wanted what they had. I wanted someone to love me like they love each other. What I didn’t realize at the time was that I already had that.

Archer’s Creek no longer feels like a shackle holding me down, now it’s just home and even though it’s a small town, it’s not so different to the big bad world I was so desperate to explore. We still have four years to decide what my happy ever after looks like. As long as I’m with him, maybe following my roots after I’ve spent some time flying wouldn’t be so bad.

Roots and wings, my past and my future. I’m a Sinners Scion, I always will be, but that doesn’t define me anymore, it’s not an anchor holding me back. I have no idea what the future holds, but I’m not running towards it. For now, I’m happy to live in the here and now.

My name is Emmy Devereaux. I’m the daughter of the president of the Doomsday Sinners MC. I fell in love with my best friend. He’s my past, my present, my future, and everything else in between.

  The End

This book is full of my blood, sweat, and tears.

This wasn’t the story I planned to tell, this wasn’t the love I intended, but this is the one that refused to be ignored, and the one that in the end wore me down until I agreed and let the words come how they wanted.

I’m not sure if people will love or hate this book, but if you hate it, know that at times I have too. If you love it, then I get it, I’ve felt that as well.

Griffin and Emmy will forever be my nightmare couple. The only ones so far who refused to play nicely, but what else should I have expected from two biker kids?

This will be the last AC or Scions books I write for a while. It’s not the end for these characters, but I have a thousand more characters who want to be heard and more stories to tell. If you think I’m wrong, then feel free to tell me, harass me with the stories you want to read, the characters whose voices spoke to you the loudest. Or you can just sit back and take this journey into new worlds with me.

As always, Sarah you get a mention. You’ve held my hand and sometimes shoved me through the writing of this book. You know how much I’ve struggled, but you always believed I could finish it and as usual you were right. I got there in the end. I love you and I appreciate you more than you know. X

Andie M. Long, again I apologise for the commas, but know I couldn’t do this without you. In fact, I refuse to do this without so NEVER leave me! X

This book looks so bloody pretty because of Kerry Heavens of Rebel Ink Co. Thank you so much for getting me and running with your instincts. The cover is utter perfection.

Lastly, but by no means least thank you to every single one of you who reads this book. I adore you all and I really hope you love Emmy and Griffin’s story.
