Club Manhattan: Parts One and Two Page 20

by Jennifer Louise

“Yeah, you’re right. But that was still some funny shit we pulled last night. Do you think they all got the point of the joke?”

“Yeah, I think they did. Most of my work friends had no idea what to expect when they got to the club, so it was a way to break the ice and add levity to the situation. I mean, it’s not like we were going to have half naked people walking around with strap-ons, having sex in the corner and shit. At least not during our party.”

Grayson let out a small laugh. “Yeah, that’s usually our Tuesday night entertainment!”

“Dude, that's so fucked up, and I’m sure a very popular night. Ah... to be young and single!” Grayson looked up at me from his spot in the mirror, as he tied his tie.

“What-the-fuck-ever… you’re getting married, not dead and old. Besides, you gotta keep the spice in your marriage. You do remember you have your own room here, right?”

“How could I forget? You wrangled free design planning service out of me in exchange. When do you want to start on the house remodel anyway?”

Grayson smirks at me like he has a secret. “Well, we will defiantly need the new room addition in about eight months.” He stares at me until the realization dawns on me.

My wide-eyed expression must look comical to him because he busts out laughing, and I scramble to get the words out. “Seriously! Wow, congrats man! That is amazing news. Thanks for telling me since I guess it’s still early yet.”

“Yeah, Crystal would kick my ass if she knew I was telling people, but I’m just so fucking stoked to become a dad that I can’t wait to shout it from the rooftops!”

I walked over to him and gave him a genuine hug as I was ecstatic for his news, and a little jealous. Chloe and I have had the talk about kids a lot lately and we haven’t decided if it’s a good time now or if we wait. But when will you ever be ready? Sometimes the unexpected of the unplanned is the best way.

He pulled away from my hug and gave me a look. “Hey, just because I spanked your ass last night doesn’t mean we need to be all huggy-touchy-feely and shit.” Grayson, the epitome of macho, running a sex club, worried about a bro-hug.

“All right, man… no worries. I see how it is.” I give him a decent amount of ribbing, as much as I can, but we are friends no matter what. “But do you think you could get over your macho self and help me tie my tie? I’m all thumbs here!”

“Yeah, yeah. Quit your bitchin.” He adds in jest.

I hear a knock at the door and secretly hope that Chloe forgot this tradition bullshit and came to see me. But it’s my father instead, looking very much how I see myself when I’m his age.

“Hey dad, have you seen Chloe yet?” I’m like a nervous girl on prom night asking if her date is here and if he looks cute.

He laughs at me and shakes his head. “She’s here don’t worry son. If you haven’t scared her off yet with all of this…” He waves his hand around the room and implying the club as well. He is supportive of my lifestyle, regardless of how traditional his views are. “I’m really proud of you, son. I know I don’t say it enough, but I am. And I can’t thank Chloe enough for including me in your day. It means a lot to your mother and me.”

“Well, I think she feels a little guilty about discovering the John thing, as we are calling it. I’m trying to convince her that she did the right thing, even though it brought negative press for the company. It needed to come out and he had to be stopped.”

He sighs in resignation and rubs his hand over his cleanly shaven face. “And I’ve told her how grateful I am that she put herself out there as well. It can’t be easy to have your past repeatedly brought up in the press. She’s a tough cookie, that one. You’re lucky to have her.”

“You’re so right about that. I’m indeed the lucky one. Let’s get going then!” Grayson, who had left when my father came in, popped his head in and gave us the five minutes to show time signal.

I took a deep breath and took a step towards my future.

  Chapter 20

  Chloe

Aidan and I opted to have the ceremony of the wedding on the rooftop of Club Manhattan. It was just after sunset in New York, so the temps were still cool, and it was perfect weather. We had backup heating and cooling elements, just in case. The altar and the surrounding seating area were draped in gauzy white drapes with twinkling white lights strung through and around the tree-lined perimeter. Candles lined the aisle to give it a majestic feel.

The decorators did an amazing job making it look like an enchanted forest, just like I wanted. My vision of a fairytale wedding and disenchanted reception came to life before me. Each represented our life together. The magic of our instant love, to the wicked tales of lust behind the doors of our VIP room.

On our way to the elevator, I got my first glance at the reception area. The inside of the club had been completely transformed into a floor lit, Bordeaux like vibe, playing off the rich reds of the existing walls, but we replaced the dark seating with white low-slung coaches and tables. The tables all had soft-lit candles and roses floating in glass vases, with the light reflecting off the glass, and an aromatic rose infused fragrance. The wedding planner, we hired, took all my visions and made them a reality. You could no longer tell it was a bar, much less a BDSM club.

Crystal, who chose her own deep red floor length dress with plunging neckline, stood by my side as we made our way up the elevator to the rooftop. I chose the deep red colors to coordinate with the feel of the club. My bouquet was a cluster of Black Cherry roses, that were dark red in color and had a light damask fragrance.

I asked the florist to add my grandmother’s jewelry to the bouquet. She only had a few broaches and earrings that she ceremoniously passed to me, and nothing of value, but they were sentimental, and I wanted to have this as my something old.

My something new was a bracelet that Aidan surprised me with this morning. He had it delivered to the suite where Crystal and I were staying. It had the same old jewelry look as my grandmother’s broaches. And I loved it.

The something borrowed was a ruby necklace that Crystal let me borrow and matched perfectly with the reds of my bouquet.

Saving the best for last was my something blue. I had a baby blue garter tucked under my dress, with a special message for when my new husband would remove it later in the evening.

When it was time for the ceremony to begin, Crystal made her stroll up the aisle as my maid of honor, taking her spot on the opposite side of her husband, the best man. When the pianist and the stringed quartet started playing my favorite song, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, I knew that was my cue.

Aidan’s mother and father stepped in line with me flanking me with their warmth and sense of family, one that I thought I would never feel again.

When I got close enough to see Aidan waiting for me at the altar, I was taken aback at how deliciously handsome he looked in his black custom tuxedo and black cherry rose boutonniere. He had his hands firmly folded in front of him, and a smile that could stop time. He looked ever so much the part of a well-grounded and in control man.

But when I got closer and our gazes locked, I could see a sheen of moisture in his eyes, and that is when I too felt the gravity of my feelings towards this man. Grayson clasped Aidan on the shoulder in a move of solidarity and understanding of the emotions coursing through a groom on his wedding day.

Aidan’s father and mother took their places in the front row as I made the few steps into Aidan’s awaiting hands, after handing off my bouquet to Crystal. When we were finally facing, Aidan mouthed the words, “you’re beautiful” and a tear slipped down his face. The love that this man has shown me, in words and in actions, is truly astonishing. He always knows when I need comfort and when I need to escape.

When the officiant began the reading of our vows, it was like no one else on that rooftop existed except us. I could hear him in the background talking, but with Aidan and me looking intently into each other’s misty eyes, we were focused on just the two of us. As
the words of honor, love, and cherish washed over us like a prayer, we said our “I do’s.”

  Chapter 21

  Aidan

Seeing Chloe walk up the aisle towards me was a surreal moment. In a flash and an instant, I could see our entire future. The future that would include children, all of whom will look as gorgeous as her. Having my parents walk Chloe down the aisle gave me a sense of pride. Pride, that my parents are giving her away as if they would their own daughter.

Chloe takes my breath away. Her inner beauty shines as bright as she does on the outside, and tonight, she’s glowing. The candles lit all around us flicker with joy and I can’t help but smile at how much love she has brought to my life.

While the officiant is talking about love, commitment, and forever I’m in awe of how far we have come in such a short amount of time. Forever seems so far away, but not when you have the love of an amazing woman by your side.

After our “I do’s” and when it was time for our first kiss, I took in the soft features of her face and the glean of unshed tears. I placed my hands on either side of her blushing cheeks and said what was in my heart.

“Chloe, you are the light in my darkness, the cool breeze on a warm night, and you give me more love, support, and trust than I thought was possible. Together we will make a family that will carry on your unwavering strength and passion. For that, I am forever indebted to you.”

Chloe tried to speak, but the words wouldn’t come. “You don’t have to respond. Know that I will always love you.”

She mouthed the words, “I love you too” and her unshed tears were no more, as they streamed down her beautiful face. She leaned in to accept my kiss and held on to me for fear of breaking the spell. We both never wanted to let this moment go.

The blur of exchanging vows, rings, and our first kiss was just the start of a whirlwind night. Running down the aisle and seeing the faces of family and friends made our hearts triple in size. We had an intimate ceremony, but the outpouring of well wishes and congratulations was overwhelming, to say the least.

We took the obligatory pictures and then some. Pictures that would someday line the walls of our home, alongside our children’s pictures and family portraits. But when it was time to make our entrance into the lower floor of the club for the reception, I knew I needed to steal a few moments with my bride. I pulled her by our newly ringed hands, into our VIP room.

“Aidan! This is a bad idea. We can’t do this now. Our guests are downstairs.” She looked too cute for words as she stomped her foot in an attempt at being intimidating.

“Chloe. I just wanted a few minutes with you. I feel like I haven’t seen you all day, and I just wanted a moment to look at you… to kiss you…”

She inhales a stuttering breath and closes her eyes as my mouth wanders aimlessly down the side of her neck and a moan escapes her lips. “Oh, my dear husband…”

“Mmmmmm…. I will never get tired of hearing you call me that.” My wife. My everything.

She clears her throat and blinks up at me, trying to regain her focus. “Yes, well, they are going to be calling us here soon. So… we better get back downstairs. I promise you though. We will come back to this very room, soon.” Her words are saying one thing, but her body is slowly melting into mine. I can feel every fiber of her resolve slipping away.

  “Baby please, just let me---”

“Yes, Aidan, please just fuck me!”

“Yes, ma’am!” And with that, I led her over to the kneeling bench at the foot of the bed and guided her forward so that she was laying on her stomach, and I stood behind her. I lifted her dress to her waist, undid my pants, and slid home. We both let out a moan of pleasure as I stilled inside her. My hard, long length throbbing with desire. It felt like years since we last connected and we both needed this release. A release of stress from the built-up anxiety of today.

We hurriedly found our perfect sync and rhythm as we made quick work of timing our impending orgasms. When we were completely spent, I collapsed on her back as we regained our normal breathing. Feeling like a mountain of stress leaving our bodies with each exhale.

“Ok, so I take that back. This was a great idea.” Chloe straightened her dress back into place, and the freshly fucked glow about her, added to her already illuminated skin.

“See… I told you. We just needed a minute to unwind. And what better way than a quickie.” I wiggled my eyebrows up and down for effect and she shook her head at me in awe.

“You’re just too hard to say no to, is all. Now, we really need to get downstairs before they send someone up here looking for us.”

“Yes, dear. Geesh… only been married a few hours and you’re already nagging me.” That garnered me a playful slap on the arm. “Leave the spanking to me woman.”

“Yes, sir.” Her downcast head and averted eyes made my heart skip a beat. Even though we hadn’t fully explored the traditional D/s relationship, she would surprise me now and again with her submissive responses and gestures.

I bite my lip and flexed my hand as a measure of controlling the rush of endorphins. “You're mine,” I growled in her ear and inhaled her scent sharply. “When we have more time to take this roleplay further…” I let my words purposely trail off, letting her fill in the blanks in anticipation.

We linked hands once again and descended the elevator to our reception that was already in full swing. The bar was open, and drinks were being served liberally. We stepped off the elevator and made our way to where we were to make our grand entrance. The club MC caught my eye and quickly got everything set up.

Crystal and Grayson, who were already mingling with the guests and my parents, made their way towards us so that they could enter first.

Grayson strides up to me and bumps my shoulder. “So, where did you two run off to?” The smirk on his face told me he knew exactly where we were, but I answered anyway.

“VIP room,” I answered without a beat.

He holds up his hand for a fist bump. “Nice!” I reciprocated the gesture with a smirk of my own.

I reached for Chloe’s hand and we waited for the MC to announce us to the guests.

“Alright, ladies and gentlemen. It gives me great honor to announce your wedding party. First up, we have the Matron of Honor Crystal Morrison, escorted by Best Man, Grayson Morrison.”

Grayson picked their entrance music and they were currently stepping into the sounds of Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love. The guests all laughed and whistled at the moves Grayson was busting on the dance floor, as Crystal shook her head at the antics of her sexy husband.

The MC continues with his introductions. “Next up, we have the Grooms mother and father, James and Addison Montgomery.” I don’t know who picked their music but now it was my turn to be embarrassed. The hip-hop tune of Chris Brown’s Forever was clearly not chosen by my parents, but it sure got the crowd going. They took it all in stride, and I didn’t realize my parents had those moves in them.

It was our turn next, and the plan was for us to head straight to the dance floor for our first dance. And I had a special surprise for Chloe.

The house lights went down low and the MC lowered his voice in cadence with the mood of the room. “Ladies and Gentlemen, for the first time as husband and wife, it is my pleasure to introduce to you, Aidan and Chloe Montgomery….”

We walked in the room to the middle of the dance floor to cheers and claps, but when the first few chords of All of Me started to play from the piano, the crowd silenced, and Chloe’s face lit up. But when the spotlight on the stage came up, and at the piano was John Legend, she stared at me in complete shock.

  “Surprise,” I said.

“H-how, w-what, Aidan! I can’t believe you got THE John Legend to perform his song at our wedding!”

We slowly started to move to the tune of our song and she continued to pepper me with questions. “Aidan, I don’t understand.”

“What’s there to understand. I met John at a fundraiser he was sponsoring a f
ew years back, I donated a large sum of money to his charity, and he said if ever needed anything…”

“This is just so amazing.” She laid her head against my chest and her scent surrounded me like a warm embrace. I felt about ten feet tall and proud that I could give her this. If she was going to react like this every time, I will have to think up my next grand gesture. “I’m glad you like it.”

And just like the wedding ceremony, the reception went by entirely too fast. The food was outstanding, the drinks were forever flowing, and the atmosphere was continually buzzing.

When it came time for the toasts, I was a little nervous about what Grayson would say about me and us, but his speech was classy and funny in parts, roasting me slightly.

  Words like…

“…. we have become good friends over the last couple of years…” Endearing.

“… can’t believe the bastard finally settled down…” Teasing and proud.

“… can take a flogger like a champ…” Hilarious, with an eye roll.

But it was all in jest and Chloe and I are so grateful to have amazing friends in Crystal and Grayson.

We didn’t want the high of the night to end, but more than anything I wanted to get my beautiful bride home and in bed. Our quickie earlier in our VIP room didn’t satisfy my cravings like I thought it would.

We had the bouquet and garter toss left to do and then we were out of there! I never really understood this tradition. Having those scared shitless men all trying to avoid catching the garter for fear that they would be forever linked to the giggly, starry-eyed girl who caught the bouquet. But I went along with it, for Chloe.

Chloe went first, and her law assistant Lisa was the one to catch her flowers. The girl looked petrified, to say the least.

When it came time for me to remove Chloe’s garter, I could see the nervousness on Chloe’s face. “What’s wrong?”

“Um… nothing,” she says in a sing-song voice.
