Cooper kisses Belladonna and Destiny Orion offers to give them a ride back to the house along with Cage. Gorpine watches realizing he desperately wants to be Cooper.
At the house everyone is present for the paperwork to be signed. Gorpine made the mistake of allowing anyone to ask him any questions. Damari had comes for the occasion and made sure there was no double talk or anything in the contract. Cathedra was satisfied with the document which mentioned about the anniversaries, child births, holidays, being sick, etc. She would be allowed to see the kids two to four hours a day. She would be given an allowance while there for things she wanted or needed. She was not to use her own money. It was not a sexual relationship. If it became one no children would come of it. He had to initial there. If for some reason a child was produced it would live with Belladonna at all times. She would have a hundred percent custody. He would supply support for the child. It would be up to Belladonna if she brought the child during the week or not. A fee of a hundred thousand dollars would be paid if she ended up pregnant by him regardless of what she decided to do with the pregnancy. Gorpine will guard Belladonna’s family like his own. He will supply security for Belladonna and her family. The document went on for three more pages.. “Belladonna McNeil, do you agree to the conditions in this document.?”
“Yes.”
“You may sign.”
“Gorpine Salazar, do you agree to the condition in this document?”
“Yes.”
“You may sign?”
“Being the witness, I will sign the document.” Cathedra signs the document.
Everyone claps because this document saves everyone from war. Belladonna sees her dad holding back tears. A copy is made of the document. Gorpine takes one for his side and Cathedra takes one for her side. Gorpine looks at Belladonna, “Can I speak to you alone?”
“Sure.”
She walks him back to the study. She shuts the door. “There’s far too many vampires in here that can hear so I’ll just do it this way.”
“I understand.”
“You were amazing out there today.”
“Thank you. Well, you were quick on catching her.”
“Yes, I was.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
“What were you wanting? Or just to pat each other on the back?”
“No, it’s more than that.”
“What is it?”
Gorpine leans in and kisses Belladonna lightly then walks out of the room. Belladonna looks for him in the hallway and he’s gone. She goes into the living room and he’s talking to Cooper as if nothing happened. For a split second she thinks maybe she imagined it. “Sorry roomie I broke the rules. You can break the rules sometime and I won’t get mad.”
“I’ll remember that.”
“See that you do.”
