  Chapter 9

I hadn’t even sat down on his dick good. Like really? She had of course apologized profusely while I scrambled to cover myself. Darien and I were both looking at each other and keenly aware of our nudity. It didn’t seem to bother Cassie as she had sat at the edge of his bed still sobbing.

“Should I leave you guys alone?” I looked at Darien as he looked between us.

“Nah. Cassie, come on lets go get you some water.” He pulled his clothes back on and escorted her from the bedroom leaving me to sit that in amazement. He had strangely not seemed to care about his nudity in front of her.

That was the first time I’d ever in my entire life had that happen. After not having sex for years, and my dry spell coming to an almost end was too much.

I flopped back onto Darien’s bed and curled into a ball. His silk sheets cocooned my body and I relaxed into them.

  Armani Exchange.

His pillow smelled like it. I breathed it in.

His words lingered in my head. “I’ll never lie to you. Ever.”

Didn’t all men promise that shit. That they’d never lie to a girl and then turn around and do exactly that. I should’ve told Darien to bring my ass a glass of water. I was thirsty as fuck; that Ouzo had started to dehydrate my ass. I looked to his nightstand and saw nothing but his cell phone. It was illuminated, and I reached for it. I know, I know.

Don’t invade his privacy. Don’t go through his things.

Remember that time he’d had me vetted and then threatened to take my nephew from me. Besides, I wasn’t going to go through his phone completely. I was just going to see who was calling or texting. It could’ve been about Dana’s arrival. Pulling the Iphone over, I saw missed call after missed call from Cassie. And a trillion text.

“Why are you treating me this way?”

  “Why are you ignoring me?”

“Thanos is breaking up with me.”

“When are you going to get rid of this American bitch.”

“I miss you. We’re family and I feel so shut out.”

I had a feeling but I shook it away. It was too much to even think about. Just as I placed the phone back Darien came back and slid into bed.

“Is she okay?” I asked. I didn’t even really fucking care.

  “She is. Boyfriend problems.”

He pulled me close and snuggled into me. “You lock that fucking door?”

He began to softly palm my breast before speaking. “Back on top Lana.”

  “Oh really?”

“Yes,” he growled and moved me on top of him.

My wetness was returning. Me and my coochie would not be denied a second time. If I was honest with myself this was only going to take a good ten minutes. I was ready to be satisfied. Slowly, I took him into my body and began to ride his dick.

My walls clenched and pulled at his sex. I could feel myself gushing already. I had never been this wet in my life. My hands on his chest I through my head back and screamed in ecstasy. I didn’t know if Cassie was still in this house; I imagined that she was and her monkey ass was going to get an earful.

“Come for me, Lana,” Darien’s hands had gripped my breast hard, as he commanded my orgasm and I obeyed him.

“Unghhhhhhhhhh!” My orgasm came over me like a huge wave ready to break against the beach. I had probably woke the dead with the scream. My fingers were dragging my nails down Darien’s chest sure to leave marks and a smile had covered my face.

My two year drought had just ended.

Slowly I came down from my high and eased down beside Darien. We faced each other and I felt kind of shy now, and pulled the sheet around me. Sweat had beaded up on his face, and his hair that needed a slight hair cut was damp. He swept some of his hair back out of his face.

“I don’t think I wanted that to end,” he stated.

“It’s been a while for me,” I bit my lip.

He came closer then, our noses were touching. “You were beautiful.”

“And loud as hell. Helene is going to be telling everybody about how I woke up her and Alex. “

Darien laughed uncontrollably. Had I ever heard him laugh? I liked the sound of him laughing. It was fully and hearty. He seemed younger and less steel like.

  Chapter 10

The morning Dana had arrived in Athens, Darien had came into my room around seven o’clock a.m. and gently shaken me awake. I thought something had happened to Alex but he shushed me. Then he’d told me some news I’d been waiting to hear. It felt as thought a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

Now, I watched the doctors move around in the bedroom that had been hired by the Kiriakis family. They checked Dana’s vitals; there was no change. Her brain was healthy. To an outside person it just seemed as if she were asleep.

She’d been here for a week and I’d brought Alex to see her just about every day. I read to her. I cried over her. I told how much I loved her. I brushed her hair, and painted her nails.

And still she remained in her slumber. Only time would tell if she would ever awaken again. All I could do was wait.

I left the door way that I was standing in. A town car was waiting to take me into town to have lunch with Jocasta. Darien was off doing something at the docks.

It was becoming so easy to blend in with this family; it almost seemed normal.

Two weeks ago, Darien and I had slid into bed and had had sex. I didn’t know how else to explain the crazy Cassie interruption. After that encounter I’d been to tired to do anything else, so Darien had just held me until I drifted off.

The next morning I woke up way to early; embarrassed I’d dashed from the room like a trashy Cinderella. I’d only felt safe again until I was behind my bedroom door locked away safely from the world.

As for Cassie, Darien had sent her off to Los Angeles to look into more clubs and properties to buy out. I distinctly remembered him saying and I quote, “She needs to be busy.”

I didn’t give a shit what she needed to do. I just wanted her far away from me. Cassie was just a little to comfortable with how she thought she just interrupt things. I wasn’t so sure I was going to be as nice as I had been the next time I saw her.

The town car came to a halt and the driver hopped out to open my door. The streets of Athens were crowded as people were out shopping. I spotted Jocasta already at a café eating. I gave a wave as I crossed the streets to join her.

“Good morning, Allanah,” Jocasta stood to kiss my cheek. She had a smile that could illuminate an entire room, and blue eyes that reminded me of both her son and grandson. “Sit, sit. Let’s eat!”

The woman had ordered the entire menu.

“Thank you,” I sat down and started to take in the sights around me.

“Athens is so lively, home to ….”

  “Democracy,” I finished her sentence.

“Who says American schools don’t teach anything,” she chuckled.

“History project from high school,” I stated and observed the orange juice. I wouldn’t be drinking that. I decided on the pomegranate juice instead and poured myself a glass.

“Have you spoken to my son?” She asked. I got the feeling that Darien and his mother didn’t speak unless it involved the baby.

“No, he just told me had some shipping stuff to do today,” I shrugged.

“Well at least the horrible, Cassie is gone for the bit,” she took a bite of toast and observed me for a reaction to her words.

“Well, I won’t speak on your family.”

She closed her eyes. “Cassandra Petrakas, is not…nor has she ever been my family.”

I raised my eyesbrows and waited. She had the deets and I wasn’t’ about to tell her to shut up either. “Oh, really?”

“Her mother was a common whore. She slept with my brother Niko, God rest his soul. It ruined his marriage to my sister in law Sophie whom I love dearly. Cassandra’s mother begged Niko to help her and that brat child of hers once it was discovered by her husband, he d
ivorced her the minute he found out, you see. So Niko…ugh that man, a weakness for women, so smart and so stupid, begged me to hire her on to do housekeeping. So I did. So Cassandra had the same opportunities as my own children because of my brother. The boys treated her as if she were one of their cousins.”

I still didn’t like the bitch and from the sound of it, Jocasta didn’t either. “That explains so much.”

A breeze came by and ruffled everything around us including our hair. It felt good to be getting some sun light in my life. I hoped Dana was soaking up some as well. She had seemed pale from her stay in the hospital. Hopefully, her melanin would be replenished.

“I do not approve of how Darien lets her touch our business assets. That is where we have a strong difference of opinions on things.” She looked at her watch. “Forgive me for running off, I have some things I need to take care of in town. I will see you tonight at the house yes. Another party to celebrate. I don’t know if I told you but Stavros is coming in from England.”

“No, I don’t think I knew that…” I looked to her for further clarification.

She smiled and I could tell she was excited. “Yes, my last son is making his return to Athens today. He’s been away for quite some time. It will be good to have him home.”

She closed her eyes and turned her face up to the sun.

“I fell the same way about Alex,” I knew I wasn’t his mom. I could never take Dana’s place but from the moment I had met him, my life had changed for the better. I was focused now.

“And we are so blessed to have little Alex. Already he has overcame so much to be in this world, yes?”

  “He has.”

I hadn’t really thought about what Alex had been through so early in his life, just to be. He had just appeared out of smoke it seemed and that was that. I thought about how he was already starting to cut teeth. Jocasta took a sip of her coffee and then stood.

“The driver will remain here for when you are ready and the tab has been paid,” she stood up ready to dart off. “Will you be okay?”

“Yes of course, I think I’ll explore a bit.”

She leaned down and gave me a kiss on the cheek. “See you tonight, Allanah.”

I watched as she got into a car and departed for parts unknown. I sat a while longer and checked Facebook. My old friends back at Steam appeared to be living life as usual. The photos of the club events were blurry and filled with swirls of light. I only missed being in the mix just a little.

  Chapter 11

I wandered the streets of Athens, purse in tow. The sun was starting to tuck itself behind the tall buildings, and the air remained fresh. The streets were actually still cobblestone in some places. I was in love here. The atmosphere was just lively. It made me just a bit home sick for New York and Steam. Crazy how in such a short time things had changed.

I was an aunt; Alex was growing like a weed. I was in a strange country; I was in said strange country with a strange man. I was sharing that said strange man’s bed. Shit was really weird but I was just making it work.

I felt as though I were being watched for some reason. An uneasiness came over me as I looked over my shoulder but found nothing unusual happening. People swirled in close, beside me, in front of me. There was no idea of personal space her.

Quickly I left the street and dashed into a small boutique. Beautiful clothes surrounded me and I decided to find something to wear to this sudden party for the mystery brother that was arriving today. The uneasiness melted away from me, even though my heart continued to beat rapidly.

I picked out a dress and moved towards the dressing room only to feel a hand cover my eyes and mouth out of nowhere. There was the sound of a curtain closing.

“Get the fuck off of me,” I said remaining calm. They had picked the wrong fucking New Yorker.

When they uncovered my eyes, I realized I was face to face with Darien. “You fucking jerk!” I exclaimed and her rolled his eyes and covered my mouth with his.

I wouldn’t be silence and slapped at his chest. How dare he scare the hell out of me like that. “What the fuck were you thinking about, I could have stabbed you.”

“Hah, with what my credit card,” he frowned in amusement and then began to inch closer again.

“I’m super handy in a tight spot, ask Dana,” I regretted the words but couldn’t focus on them. Darien already had a plan in his mind and it wasn’t to ask my comatose sister anything.

“In here? Seriously?” I whispered already taking my pants off. His pants were around his ankles and his dick was hard.

There would be no time for foreplay. He twirled me around and I had to brace myself on the dressing room mirror. His eyes watched my own. I was immediately turned on; he didn’t need to worry about lubrication. I had already started to get wet. Interestingly, enough, I could get wet at the drop of a dime with this man. He gripped my hips and pushed into me, hard and fast.

“I’ve been thinking about this for days,” he grunted out.

“I know,” I said throwing my ass back to meet his thrust. We found a rhythm. “Me….ugggghhh too.”

  Hard.

  Fast.

He reached around for my clit and all the while I continued to watch him manipulate my body, his taller frame bending into mines. He bit and pulled on my neck. I was sure to have a hickey after this.

We were quite the color comparison; our skin tones complimenting each other. He was surprisingly on the tan side for a white guy and those blue eyes were set on fire because of it. I ground into his hand as he hit my sweet spot and I came all of his dick. I didn’t take long to orgasm with him and I didn’t understand why my body loved to betray me with him.

  Thrust.

  Thrust.

  Thrust.

And he busted inside of me. My walls shook and grabbed wanting all of what he’d offered. He continued to quiver out his wave until he was spent. I recovered faster and pulled my clothes on.

“I’m sure we just gave an entire store a show,” I tried to fix my hair a bit.

He smiled still not quite recovered. “It’ll be okay.”

“Only something a man who fucks girls in dressing rooms would say,” I rolled my eyes at him and watched as he pulled up his pants.

“I’ve gotta go pick up Andrew, from the airport,” he kissed my head then. “See you tonight.”

And just like that, he left me after fucking me in a dressing room. Not that I hadn’t enjoyed it but I suspected that maybe that was him trying to cement my role as mistress in his life.

I groaned inwardly at how awkward things were going to be when I left out of this dressing and rubbed my face. I was still slick between my legs from the sex and the dressing room smelled like we’d just went five rounds. Now my black ass had to go pay for this dress I wasn’t even going to try on just to save face because I had to get freaky in a dressing room.

  This couldn’t be life.

I had hurriedly bought the silk sky blue dress and had gotten out of the boutique. The girls in the shop had been smiling widely. They had known what had happened between me and Darien. I couldn’t stop blushing through the entire transaction.

I’d only felt comfortable when I’d slid back into the town car to be taken back to the house. Thoughts of the Kiriakis men stirred in my mind. Darien rarely talked about his past or even his brothers. I sensed a rift between all of them. Something that had probably not healed even with Alexander’s father being dead.

I thought about how lucky Darien was to have such a large family; how lucky Alex was to have that. I was a little ashamed of how I’d almost kept him from these people out of my own fear, I supposed.

Arriving at Darien’s house, I stepped from the car with my purchase. The weather had been nice. We were having a mild winter. I had to admit how in love with Athens I had fallen. A smile spread across my face and I couldn’t wait to see Alex.

That kid was my sanctuary and he didn’t even know it.

  “Helena,” I called as I
entered the house. “I’m back.”

Helena appeared out of no where, her gray hair slicked back in an effortless bun. Her arms were empty. “Where’s Alex, I’ve missed him,” I’d only been gone for four hours.

“Oh, Miss Cassandra has him. She said it would be alright if they spent some time together.”

The bag I had fell from my arms, as I dashed to his nursery. I almost lost my footing a couple of times but I managed to regain my balance. My only thoughts were to get Alex away from that bitch. When had she even gotten back from the trip Darien had sent her on.

  Chapter 12

My pulse was racing at an uncontrollable rate, and I was almost out of breath. Part of me wondered when the last time had been that I’d worked out. In high school, I’d been athletic. As I rounded the corner and the sight before me had me seeing red. Cassie was holding Alex with her back to the door. She was whispering to my child as if she had every right in the world to hold him and nuture him.

I was here to burst her bubble. I sized sis up from the back. She had a fushia colored dress and high heels. I was going to rock her fucking world and she had no idea.

“Bitch, have you lost your rabbid ass mind?” I asked.

I was starting to shake with rage as she turned around to face me. She was rocking Alex and a smile spread across her face. The smile never reached her face; in fact, a smile on her looked foreign. I had never seen someone who smiling looked unnatural on until I’d met Cassie.

“Language, Antionette. My little cousin doesn’t need to hear such things,” she looked down on Alex.

“He is not your cousin, you crazy bitch. And again I ask you have you lost your rabid ass mind?”

She rolled her eyes and then turned and placed Alex back in his crib. It was probably the smartest thing she’d ever done in her life. “You, know, Antionette, I’m sensing that you have some sort of problem….”
