Julian (Members From Money Book 31) Page 12

by Katie Dowe

“Ms. Manchester we need a statement—”

One look at the detective had him stopping the conversation and with a nod he walked away. Julian pulled her up and into his arms, carrying her away towards the suite of offices. He sat with her on one of the sofas and with trembling hands examined every inch of her.

“I'm okay,” she told him softly.

“I died,” his hands cupped her cheeks and his gaze was intense. “I died several times out there wondering if I would ever see you again.” His hands wandered to her neck and he squeezed slightly.

“I'm ok—”she gasped and broke off as he bent his head to take her lips with his. The touch was bruising and highly possessive as he poured everything out in that kiss. She gripped his shirt with her bloodstained hands and held on as the emotions charged through her body. He bore her back against the sofa and his hand went between her legs. He had no patience or finesse so it was no surprise when he tore the flimsy material of her panties and pushed his fingers into the warmth of her sex.

She moaned inside his mouth and moved her body up to his. They didn't seem to care that someone might come inside the office. That wasn't their concern. Their only concern was celebrating life this way. He eased out of her and fumbled to take out his straining penis. “I want to screw you until I'm molded to you,” he said harshly as he entered her, going in deep. She shivered at his tone and his intense expression. Sydney wrapped her legs around his waist and lifted her body up against his. He thrust into her, his hands digging into her hips and guiding the movements. He closed his eyes as she wrapped around him tight. This is what he needed. This was where he belonged!

He pounded into her, his movements frenzied and frantic. She followed suit, her body meeting his thrusts with a desperation that matched his. Her fingers dug into his scalp and she arched her neck as he sought and captured a nipple inside his mouth. He sucked hard and eagerly, his teeth scraping her hardened bud and causing the tremors to assail her body. He could feel his testicles tightening and knew that he wasn't going to last much longer. He dragged her up to him and had her sitting on his dick as he burrowed his lips in the hollow of her neck. He pushed deep into her and she lifted her legs to give him belter access to her. He spilled inside her and she was right behind him, her cries echoing around the room as she bent her head to his, her breath coming out in gasps as she clung to him.

He was able to take her home several hours later. He'd endured the questions from the detective in charge and made note of the fact that Marco Purcell had been responsible.

Then he'd insisted on taking her home. It was approaching late afternoon when they got to the house and they spent some time with Dominick at the pool before Sara came to get him so that he could take his bath and have his meal.

“We'll be up to tuck him in Sara,” Sydney told her with a smile.

“We need to talk,” Julian told her as soon as the woman left. He'd held one of her hands when he took her home and refused to let her travel in her car. He'd showered with her and had made love to her until she was weak and limp.

  “We don’t have to—”

“We do, actually,” he told her tightly. He came over to her lounge chair and sat on the edge of it, his hands passing over her long, bare legs. “I almost lost you.”

“But you didn’t,” she reminded him gently.

“I almost lost you,” he continued as if she hadn't spoken. “I didn't tell you how much I love you.”

Sydney felt her heart hammering inside her chest. She'd seen her life flashing before her eyes as she stood next to the man with the gun and thought about all she wanted to do.

“I love you Sydney,” he told her hoarsely. “I was stubborn and was a dick about everything, but I want you to know that I love you and would like nothing better than to be your husband.”

“Why?” She was trembling from the admission but she wanted to know if he was just saying it because of the near death experience. She had to know.

“Because I love you and don't—cannot see my life without you in it. I want us to get married right away.”

“Baby, we don’t have to hurry,” she protested.

“We could get married in Costa Land at the end of August and spend our honeymoon there.”

Sydney’s eyes widened at that. “Costa Land?”

“Yes.” He took out his phone and dialed a number. “Alexander.” He listened for a moment and then smiled. “Yes, me too.” He listened again and then smiled. “I need a favor.” He paused. “I need to get married at the end of the month. And I think your country is the perfect place.” He looked at the shocked Sydney. “The last Saturday in August is fine?”

  She nodded slowly.

“Round up the gang. I'm going to call Monique and Leesa . See you soon man, and thanks.”

  “We can’t—” she whispered.

“We have to,” he whispered back as he pulled her on top of him.

Billionaire Swiss banker Julian Gessner to marry manager of one of his newly acquired banks: Ms. Sydney Manchester. The two have a son together and the nuptials are set to take place in the small country of Costa land where Prince and Princess Costa live. The announcement came soon after the small bank was held up by a former bank manager and a former convict so one might say that something good came out of it after all!

“So how does it feel?” Brian asked her as they sat down for lunch at her place. He looked so much better and had improved his business and expanded into landscaping. He looked happy and relaxed and almost like his old self. It was two weeks to the wedding and the planning had been totally taken out of her hands. She'd met with the other wives and each of them was playing their part. She'd spoken to Princess Debbie on the phone several times and was assured that everything was being arranged from their end. It was surreal! She'd also spoken to Elena and Lina Gessner who would both be at the wedding.

“It feels like I'm in a fairy tale,” Sydney said with a breathless laugh. She'd just fed her son and he was dozing in his swing chair next to the table they had outside. Julian was gone for the day but would be back later. “I'm in love with him Brian, and it frightens me sometimes.”

“He treats you right,” Brian observed as he ate the delicious shrimp.

“More than,” she said with a smile. “I understand that you're going out with Lorna?”

He ducked his head and a shy smile hovered around his lips. “You okay with that?”

“As long as you're both happy,” she told him gently.

“I am,” he nodded. “I never thought I would ever be happy again. And don’t worry sis, this time I'm taking it slow. She's a terrific girl.”

“I know. I've asked her to be my maid of honor.”

He reached forward and squeezed her hands. “Thank you for being there for me.”

  “You're welcome.”

He took the brush from her and started to brush her hair. She smiled as he put it away and awkwardly plaited the thick strands. He went on his knees before her and took out a small velvet box. “I never got around to doing this.” He opened it and she stared at the sheer magnificence of the simply cut pink diamond that blinked up at her. “I thought of you when I saw this,” he murmured, and taking it out he slid it onto her finger. Sydney was speechless as she stared at the ring on her finger.

“Thank you,” she whispered as she stared at him.

“You're welcome.” He parted her legs and reached between them, his fingers stroking her skin. He pulled her closer to him and, bending his head, his tongue sought her bare flesh. Sydney shuddered as his tongue touched her mound. “Julian,” she whispered. His tongue went inside and circled around her slowly. She gripped his hair and hung on as her body braced for the powerful orgasm that she knew was coming. He carried her through it and when she was recovered somewhat he lifted her and carried her to their bed.

“Darling, that dress looks amazing on you!” Kel
ly said as soon as Sydney came into the room. She was wearing a Romano’s original; a shell pink number that barely covered her thighs and fitted her like a second skin. Her hair had been done by a professional and was in an elegant chignon at the nape of her neck. Diamonds, a gift from her fiancé, were at her lobes and around her wrist. The wedding shower was being held at the club out on the lawn and the late afternoon was quite lovely.

“Thank you.” Sydney was still a little intimidated around them but they always put her at her ease.

“You should see her wedding dress,” Monique said with a gentle smile. The lawns were dotted with people who'd come out to celebrate with her. Lorna and Brian were somewhere in the crowd and Julian was talking to some of his friends. It had been decided that instead of having the usual bridal shower and bachelor’s party that they would combine them and have both at the same time.

“I thought we would get a peek,” Leesa said with a small frown.

“It’s a surprise,” Monique told them loftily.

“God, another wedding!” Deandre said with a sigh. “We're growing in numbers.”

“As it should be,” Leesa said as she sipped her champagne.

The plane banked and descended at the surprisingly large airport at Costa Land. The ten hours’ flight had seemed like about two hours in the luxurious plane that took them over. Sydney, snuggled in the front in Julian’s arms, stared out as the terrain came into view. The vegetation was lush and it looked as if it had rained only a few hours ago. “Alexander and Debbie as well as the king and queen don't want it touched by pollutants or ravaged by tourists,” he told her softly as the plane made its descent.

“I don’t blame them,” she said softly.

He nuzzled her neck and she sank back against him. “Julian,” she breathed.

“I cannot wait for you to be my wife,” he nibbled at her skin and she felt desire shoot through her. Their son was in the car seat over on beside Lorna and Brian, and was fast asleep.

Julian often left little bite marks on her skin whenever they made love and had stopped apologizing for it. He couldn't help himself. He lifted his head and took her lips with his, his tongue darting inside her mouth. He released her reluctantly when the plane came to a stop and passed his trembling hands over her arms.

  “Tonight,” he said raggedly.

  *****

They were greeted in the vast lobby by royalty. Debbie was dressed in a simple blue and white cotton dress with thin straps and wasn't wearing her tiara. Her husband had a possessive arm around her as he came forward to greet their many guests. The King and Queen were away in Europe on business and wouldn't be back in time for the wedding. Sydney felt slightly overwhelmed by the opulence of the palace and couldn't stop looking around.

“Welcome darlings!” Debbie greeted them with open arms. “Julian, it's about time.” She hugged him tightly and then took Sydney by the hands. “It’s very nice to finally meet you.” She turned to look at Julian. “Your mother and sister are already here.”

The prince and princess took them on a brief tour of the place and then showed them to their rooms. “Some of our friends are staying at the hotel as we have run out of rooms, if you can imagine it,” Debbie told them with a smile as she stood in the circle of her husband’s arms. “Please make yourselves at home. Julian, you know that we eat precisely at seven and it is formal I'm afraid,” she said, looking at Sydney. “I'm just getting used to all of this darling so you will too.”

  “Thank you,” Sydney told her.

They left and closed the doors behind them. They'd looked in on their son who had a room with Sara and he'd woken up for a little bit and then went back to sleep.

Julian reached for her. “Baby, it's almost six thirty,” Sydney protested.

“We have time,” he whispered as he took off her clothes.

  *****

Elena hugged her tightly with tears in her eyes. “You are a beautiful addition to this family, darling and I am so happy to finally meet you.”

“Thank you Elena.” She hugged the woman.

Lina had stared at her in trepidation for a moment before hugging her. “We both love him,” she whispered.

  “I know.”

Dinner that evening had been a very festive occasion as they sat around the huge table and were served by several of the staff that came forward with platters of meals with a smile on their faces. There were stories and laughter as they reminisced about how they had met and what had happened to lead them to this life of absolute trust and love.

“To the latest addition to our rapidly growing family!” Debbie said, lifting her glass in a toast.

“Hear! Hear!” Leesa called out. “We're getting stronger by the minute.”

Later that night as they put their son to bed, both Sydney and Julian sat there and watched as he drifted off to sleep. “I want a daughter,” he said softly as she put him down.

  She looked up at him.

  “Is that so?”

“Hmm,” he came behind her and put his arms around her. “Or another son.”

She leaned back against him in contentment. “Maybe one of each.”

He turned her around and lifted her into his arms. “Lets’ get started.”

  *****

Nature was in agreement with them and the day turned out to be a lovely one. Not too hot and not too cold. The vast tent was spread on the ground of the palace and hundreds of chairs placed there. It was an afternoon wedding and the bridegroom was already standing at the altar with his best man: Prince Alexander.

Julian was dressed in dark blue suit with a light blue lapel and a peony in his lapel. His dark brown hair glinted, the blonde highlights shining in the sun. A red carpet had been placed in the middle to allow the wedding party to make their appearance.

He straightened as the music started and Lorna came in, wearing pastel blue. Then it was time for Sydney to come in and immediately they all got to their feet as the song changed. A collective gasp went up as she stood poised at the entrance with their almost three month old son in her arms. Brian took the child from her as she linked her arm with his. She had on a shimmering champagne-colored dress that looked deceptively simple. Thin jeweled straps held the bodice up and crisscrossed at the back. The bodice was made of sheer rich lace which showed glimpses of her flawless skin. The skirt drifted down to her ankles and flowed over the carpet. Her hair was twisted into intricate knots on top of her head and dotted with the flowers that bloomed plentiful around the palace grounds. Diamonds glinted at her ears and on her wrists and she looked stunning.

His body tightened as he waited for her to come to him. They'd spent the night together, not getting much sleep as he devoured her body. Brian stepped back with his nephew as Julian came forward and took her hand. They looked at each other until the minister called for their attention to start the ceremony. The tall, emaciated Italian made a short speech before having them say their vows. The ‘I dos’ rang out in the tent as they pledged to love and care and be loyal to each other until they were both gone form this earth. Soon after, with Dominick cradled in their arms, they were declared husband and wife.

Sydney had time for a quick change before the reception started. The tent had been put away and the chairs scattered across the lush lawns as the staff plied tables with food. Music was heard as the live band struck up some lively songs for the guests as they mingled and chatted. Sydney had changed into a loose pantsuit that had been a part of the many clothes she'd gotten from Romano’s, courtesy of her husband. Their honeymoon would be in Switzerland and a part of it right here in the beautiful country of Costa Land.

She snuggled in his arms, with her hands around his neck as they swayed to the soothing sound of Luther Vandross. He held her close to him and felt the steady beat of her heart and knew that as long as he lived he would never stop loving her. She lifted her head and looked up at him as if she knew exactly what he was thinking. “I love you so much,” she whispered.
/>
“My heart.” His throat was dry as he looked down at her. “I love you beyond reason.”

She brought his head down and the soft kiss turned into one that had their hearts racing. He gathered her up to him and she felt the heaviness of his erection.

“I think it’s time we retire.” He dragged his mouth from hers and rested his head on hers.

She nodded and let him lead her away, after saying their goodbyes.

  *****

Later that night as she snuggled in his arms completely sated and filled with the love he spoke as he stroked her back. “I will never want anyone the way I need you,” he whispered.

She lifted her head and looked at him. His dark brown hair was mussed and his grey-green eyes slumberous. He'd called her name over and over again and cried out his love for her as he spilled himself inside her.

“I know,” she said softly, pushing back the hair from his forehead. “I know.”

“Good,” he said briskly as he pulled her on top of him. “I just wanted you to be aware of that.”

He spent the night sealing the promise as he made sweet, languorous love to her that had her crying in his arms.
