Dare to Dream Page 15

by C. J. Welles

“Well, I was looking for some ass and came across this short blonde girl.” I jump back when she goes to push me. “Just kidding. Had to come up to meet a potential client who works too bloody much to come to us. It gives me the shits.”

Actually, I don’t know why I’m so peeved off this time. It’s the first racehorse we’ve taken on. Jackson used to train racehorses years ago, but when he came to work for dad five years ago, he gave it up. But we’ve decided to try doing it.

“That’s what business is all about. You’ve got to bend over backward to keep the client happy,” she says as she twists on my lap, so she is straddling me.

My cock is hard as a rock now. Fuck, I spend half my time hard around Callie. I just can’t help it.

“I know, it just annoys the shit out of me.”

“Hey, you two keep your hands to yourself,” Krystal says as Callie slips her hands under my shirt and over my ab’s.

“I’ll take her to her room before I give her a ride she’ll never forget. Don’t worry, I’ll turn the music on so you don’t have to hear her scream.” Callie rolls her eyes and Krystal just shakes her head.

It was so awkward the first few times I saw Krystal as Callie’s friend. But now we get along fine.

“Don’t be so dirty.” She playfully hits my chest, then gets up and goes to the kitchen.

“What? It’s the truth,” I call over to her.

I hear them both talking in the kitchen as I wait on the sofa. Then I remember what Callie said before.

Jumping up, I stride to Callie. “What were you saying about looking at somewhere new to live?”

“We’re looking for somewhere cheaper. Rent for this place is ridiculously expensive. We looked at a few places out in the northern suburbs. We haven’t decided on anywhere yet.” She answers while getting some bagels from the pantry.

“Okay, sounds good.” I so just want to ask her, but I want to wait until we’re alone in case she doesn’t like the idea. “Hurry up and eat, baby.”

“You want one?” she asks, holding up a bagel covered in cream cheese.

“Nope. Not hungry. Just get your food and follow me.” I walk to her bedroom and lay on the bed waiting. I know people may think it is fast but it’s what I want. I have never been more certain of anything in my life. I love Callie and I want her living with me. Plus, it will mean she can get away from her job. Just thinking of her job and those men get me angry.

Callie walks in a moment later and sits down next to me. I look up to her, and her stunning face looks down at me with a beautiful smile.

Lifting my hand up I stroke my finger across her cheek and tuck a lock of hair behind her ear. “Baby, I’ve been talking to mom today and I’ve got a proposition for you.”

  “Okay, should I be worried?”

“No. Mom and I were talking last night, and she has decided to move away from the ranch. She said as much as she loves the place, it’s not the same without dad.”

“I’ll miss seeing her there. But I understand. It must be so hard for her waking up and living each day in the same place that she shared twenty-nine years of her life with your dad.”

“I know,” I whisper. As much as I know this will be good for her. It’s going to be hard. I lost my dad five months ago and now my mom is moving away. “It won’t be the same.” Callie lays down next to me and rests her head on my chest.

“Are you okay, babe?” she asks so sweetly.

  “Yeah, Angel, I’ll be fine.”

“So, what does this all have to do with me?”

“Well, I wasn’t going to say anything yet, but since you’re looking at moving, I thought I better ask you now. I will need someone to help me with the paperwork and bill paying. Mom has been the one to do that over the years.” She jerks up and looks at me. Her eyes are wide and there’s a slight smile on her pretty face.

“You want me to? You trust me to do that?” she sounds so hopeful and excited. It’s so cute.

“Yeah baby, of course. I know you can do it. And even though it’s not mom’s decision, she agrees with me as well.”

“You’re serious? You really want me working for you?”

  “And living with me.”

“Yes.” She twists around and flings a leg over my waist so she’s straddling me. “Oh, my God yes.” I kiss her hard when she leans her head down. Sex with Callie is out of this world. But just kissing and being with her is just as amazing. I love this girl with all my heart.

She suddenly pulls back, which breaks the kiss and I groan. I lean up to capture her lips again, but she pushes away and stands up. “What’s wrong?” I ask her when she faces me and looks torn

Oh hell, I know this isn’t going to be good.

She opens her mouth to speak, but I cut her off. “If you’ve changed your mind and are going to say no, I don’t want to hear it.”

Callie opens and closes her mouth a few times before speaking. “Well, I don’t want to say no, but -” I growl and sit up. “I can’t leave Krystal. If I move in with you, what will she do?”

Oh, fuck me. As much as I want to be grumpy, I’m not. Callie is way too sweet. The whole fact that she is thinking of Krystal over herself.

“We’ll work something out. Maybe there is someone she knows who will rent with her.”

  “I don’t know, but I can’t just leave her.”

“Don’t stress, something will come up. Now come and lie with me.” I lay back and pat the bed next to me. “Or I could think of other things we can do here.” I waggle my eyebrows and even though she tries not to, she bursts out laughing.

“Of course, you could,” she says as she pounces on top of me.

I spend the next hour giving my girl the loving she deserves.

  Chapter 22

  Callie

I’M STRADDLING JACE’S thighs, kissing my way down his body and just about to reach his boxers-

“I just worked it out,” he says loudly and bolts upright, scaring the shit out of me.

I frown. “Worked what out?” What is he working out when I’m about to pleasure him?

  “About Krystal.”

“You were thinking of Krystal when I was about to give you head.” I shake my head, trying to act serious and hurt. I don’t think I’m doing a good job until I see his eyes widen and panic spread across his face. “I’m just joking. What have you worked out?”

“Well, I own a house in Addison. It’s a bit further out than here but it’ll be closer and better than the other places you were telling me about.”

“Are you serious? I didn’t know you owned a house there.”

“I bought it when I started playing with the Cowboys because the ranch was so far out. I wanted a place to live that was closer. It hardly gets used now. Every now and then one of my friends will ask if they can say there for the weekend or night, if they need to be close to the city.”

“How much will rent be?” I have a feeling Krystal doesn’t have much money to spare for rent by the look of places yesterday.

“Just whatever she wants. It’s currently only sitting there empty. She may, every now and then, have to put up with one of my friends crashing for the night.”

“Oh, my God, I have to go tell her.” I jump up and run from the room. Jace calls out to me but I don’t stop or hear.

Barging inside Krystal’s door I jump on her bed.

She squeals. “Fricken hell, you scared the shit out of me.” She turns her head to the side. “It’s only four in the morning, what are you doing in here?”

“I have news, you’re going to love it,” I squeal and jump up and down on her bed.

“Oh, my God Callie. You’re like a little kid when you’re excited.” I hear Jace laugh and turn to him and poke my tongue out.

“You’d be excited too if you know what I know. I have found a house. Jace owns a house in Addison that is empty. He said you can rent it for whatever you want to pay.”

  “You just said ‘Yo
u’. You’re not coming?” she asks.

“Ah well, Jace asked me to move in with him and work for him,” I say nervously. I don’t want her to think I’m ditching her. She has done so much for me over the past few years.

“That’s great news. I’m so happy for you.” She has a big smile on her face as she pulls me down and hugs me. “So, more details.”

  “Well, I’ll be doing-”

“The house. I can’t wait to hear about it.”

“It’s nothing special. It has three bedrooms. The main room is huge and has a massive ensuite. It’s two stories. I just don’t like it so much because the next-door neighbors are right on top of you, but you’d be used to that after living in apartments.” Jace says from the doorway. “Oh, it’s got a pool as well.”

“Sounds good to me. When can I check it out?” Krystal asks. “Not that I’m going to say no, but I’m excited to see the place.” She sounds super keen.

“I’ve got to head back to the ranch in a few hours, but I can leave the key with Callie and you two can go have a look whenever.”

“Awesome.” She looks to me “Even though I’m loving this little chat, I need more sleep.”

“Okay, see you later.” I return to my room with Jace and he starts pulling his jeans on over his boxers.

“Are you leaving already?” I frown and drop my bottom lip.

“Yeah Baby, I got to be home by six and it’s nearly five.” He walks to me and grips my chin in his hand and kisses me gently. “I’ll be back up to see you in a few days.”

“I know, but I’ll miss you.”

“Just think, soon you’ll be living with me and you won’t have to miss me then.”

Jace leaves ten minutes later and I head back to bed where I pull his pillow to my tummy and I fall asleep in minutes.

  *

“NOTHING SPECIAL?” KRYSTAL squeals with delight. “This place is massive.” We walk inside once I get the door unlocked.

Jace’s house is massive, well, we say massive but it’s probably just normal size to others. Walking through the first level there is a huge kitchen with all black marble countertops. There’s an island bench that has a cooktop set on one side then underneath the bench is all slots for I’m guessing wine bottles. To the end is a bar fridge.

The dining room has an eight-seat table and when you walk through a door there’s a room I would say is an entertainment room. There’s a huge plasma screen on one wall with shelves on each side with rows and rows of dvds. On the other side of the downstairs, is a more formal room which has a fireplace in one corner. The whole place is furnished.

“So, you think the furniture is staying?” Krystal asks. “No way do I have enough for this place. I will look like a squatter.”

I burst out laughing. “You will not. I don’t know, we’ll have to ask him.” I look around the room amazed “I can’t believe how big it is.”

“Well I love it, I’d be happy to call this home.” She walks out through the glass sliding doors and sits on a sun lounger. “How much do you think he will be happy with? I can’t afford a lot.”

I look at Krystal and she looks worried and agitated again. There is something going on. “I don’t know. I’m sure he’ll be happy with anything. He said the place just sits there empty.” I sit down next to her. “Krystal, is there something going on you want to tell me about? You know about my past, you know I will never judge you.”

She stares into my eyes and I see the look of longing slide across her face as well as pain. Before I can say anything, she stands up “No, there’s nothing.” She whispers, then clears her throat. “I just thought if I got somewhere cheaper I could finish up working at Platinum,” she says, in a stronger voice.

“Has something happened there? Tell me if anything has.”

“No, it’s nothing. I’m just sick of it.”

“Okay, I’m here though if you need.” She nods but doesn’t turn around. Just continues looking at the pool for a minute, before we return inside to look upstairs.

The top level is smaller, there are only a sitting area and two bedrooms. The main bedroom is huge, just like Jace said. The ensuite has his-and-her sinks, a two-person spa, and the shower, I have never seen anything like it. It has several nozzles that the spray comes out of. You could nearly have a party in the shower it’s so big.

I’m with Jace, even though the house is amazing, I prefer the ranch. It’s more open and peaceful. I’d never been anywhere like it, going back six months ago, but now I couldn’t imagine not living there. I’m so happy Jace asked me to move in with him and help with the ranch. I can’t wait for the next chapter of our life together to begin.

  Chapter 23

  Callie

I’M SO GOD damn nervous about going to Jace’s tonight. It was Jace’s twenty-eighth birthday yesterday and tonight we’re going to have a party for it. The last impromptu party we had at his house four weeks ago ended up in arguments and Jace and Bryson fighting.

This will be the first time I will have seen Bryson since the day after that. Lucky I’ve got Krystal here with me to kick his ass if I need.

Jace said I could invite more friends, but well, I don’t really have anymore. There are the other girls from Platinum, but we only socialize at work.

Getting here has been a nightmare. I’m still feeling sick from the burger I ate two nights ago when we got takeout from a café down the road. Krystal is driving and it’s the first time in ages she’s driven anywhere away from the city. She also does not have a clue where she’s going on these back roads. It’s taken us an extra half an hour.

If I wasn't so impatient to see Jace and nervous I would be laughing.

We finally reach their drive once I point it out to her. My tummy does somersault's as my heart beats out of my chest. It’s been twelve days since I saw Jace. We have both been busy and I’ve been sick.

In two weeks, I’ll be living here and I’m so excited for it. I started counting down the days last week and have been driving Krystal crazy with my constant talk about living with Jace.

Pulling up outside, I jump out of Krystal’s Ford Focus and run for the front door. I’ve taken two steps up when the door flies open and Jace steps out.

I run and jump into his arms, flinging my arms around his neck. Luckily, he catches me. “I’ve missed you, babe,” I say to him and kiss him. “Happy birthday for yesterday.” He looks sexy as sin in his worn wrangler jeans and a white t-shirt. He hasn’t shaved today, and he has the total five o’clock shadow going on.

“Thanks, Angel. I missed you too,” he says before carrying me inside. I hear Krystal laugh and follow behind us.

“Oh, my God, Jace. Put the poor girl down.” I hear Jane say as we reach the kitchen.

“I will soon Ma, I need to hold her for a moment longer.”

She shakes her head and continues cooking.

“Are you feeling better baby?” He sets me down on the floor and looks at me with a worried face.

“I am, now I’m with you.” He looks at me seriously. “Not one hundred percent. But you have made it better.”

“That’s what I’m here for. Now come with me, I want to show you something.” He picks me back up and carries me up the stairs and to his room. Kicking the door shut behind him he drops me down on the bed.

He pulls off his shirt first and throws it away, then unbuckles his belt and jeans. I just lay there watching him. I can never get enough of his body. He pushes my dress up, so my panties show, then slide them to the side before entering a finger inside me. He groans when he feels I’m wet. Just looking at him turns me on.

He pulls his finger out and I open my legs wide before he kneels between them. With his pants around his knees still, he slams his cock into my sex. “This is going to be hard and fast babe. It’s been way too long.” I nod and groan. No way am I going to argue with that.

He leans over and sucks my bottom lip in his mouth before biting it. Between that and his cock
hitting my g-spot on every fast thrust, I’m coming in just moments. My body shudders and I scream his name.

“I can feel your hot pussy tightening on my cock.” He grates out. His pupils are dilated, and his chiseled jaw is clenching. I love the sexy look he gets when he’s about to come. He pumps hard a few more times, then he growls my name in a low husky voice. His thrusts become lazy as he comes.

Rolling onto his back, he takes me with him. We lay there panting and looking into each other’s eyes.

“I think your Mom and Krystal must know what we are up to. We weren’t exactly quiet.” He laughs a deep husky laugh.

“At the moment, I don’t give a shit. They’ll get over it. I needed you bad, plus, it’s my birthday party so they can deal.”

“Well, I hope you enjoyed it.”

“Baby, anytime and every time I have sex with you I enjoy it. But making love with you, there is no better feeling.”

I squirm from his words, they are sweet. I can feel his cock inside me still and I slowly rock my hips into him. He groans. “Give me another minute, Angel. I just blew my load like a teenager.” I laugh. He’s so vocal when it comes to sex.

“It’s your sexy face and hot as sin body. You get me horny easily.”

“Imagine how I feel looking at you in dresses and those daisy duke shorts. I’m nearly always permanently hard, around you.”

I wiggle my hips again and feel his cock harden. He flips me on my back. “I hope your ready this time, Angel.” He waggles his eyebrows. “This isn’t going to be fast, this time” With that he brings me to pleasure several times before he climaxes again.

I feel bad. We walk back downstairs two hours later, and I’ve left poor Krystal with Jane. Jane is lovely and all. But they have only met twice. Hopefully, it hasn’t been awkward.

We find them out the back at the picnic bench. I slowly walk to Krystal and sit beside her as Jace sits beside Jane. “I’m sorry,” I whisper to Krystal.

“No, you’re not,” she says loudly, and I flinch.

“Be quiet,” I say when Jane looks to us. “I am, it was all Jace’s fault.” Oh, my God. How embarrassing. Jane knows we have sex, she must know. But to know I was just upstairs having sex with her son. Oh, my God. I can feel my face flush.
