Dare to Dream Page 19

by C. J. Welles

Leaning down over the top of Callie, I suck her nipple into my mouth as I slowly thrust my cock into her hot pussy. Every time gets better with Callie. The feel of her walls clenching tight around my cock makes me want to blow like a teenager. I quicken my pace until I am thrusting in and out of her relentlessly. Her sexy moans and panting lets me know she is close.

“Rub your clit, Angel,” I say through clenched teeth. I watch as her small hand slides down her body towards the trimmed patch of light hair then slides between her folds. She moans out my name as I lift her legs up around my waist and thrust in deeper.

“Jace, Babe…oh, you feel good,” she moans between pants. I feel her hot little pussy clench around my cock, and she screams out my name.

It takes everything in me to not come with her. Pulling out of Callie I stand up and pull her with me.

I spin her around to face the couch, “Bend over and hold on tight baby.” I slowly move my hand up and down my shaft as I watch her bend over.

Moving up behind her I line my cock up with her pussy before I thrust hard inside her. Callie calls out as I pump in and out hard and fast. Moments later she calls my name out as I feel her orgasm take over her body. It’s all I can take. I pump in hard one last time and hold still as I feel my come shooting inside her.

After a minute, I pull out and pull Callie up, kissing her hard. “I love you, baby,” I say before I head to the bathroom to clean up.

The rest of the day we spend laying on the couch watching chick flicks that don’t interest me at all, but they make Callie happy.

And as long as Callie’s happy, I’m happy.

  Chapter 30

  Callie

Me: As if the guys will be up for that.

Krystal: It’s amazing what you can get a guy to do if you ask him while you have his cock in your hand. It works with Bry all the time.

I bust out laughing. I could just imagine her doing that to him

Me: Oh god Krystal, that poor man.

  Krystal: What? He loves it!

Me: OMG, what have you done with my quiet timid friend?

Krystal: She’s gone and met a cowboy

I just shake my head and laugh again.

“What are you laughin’ at babe?” Jace mumbles.

“Just Krystal. She’s giving away her secret for how she has Bry twisted around her little finger.”

“And how’s that?” he asks, as he rolls over and wraps an arm around me.

“Well if I tell you, it won’t work for me in the future,” I say with a laugh as he pokes me in the ribs with his finger.

“Baby, you always have me wrapped around your pinkie finger.”

“So, does that mean I don’t have to give you head for you to come bowling with us?” I ask.

“Baby, you can give me head any day of the week, but no, I ain’t goin’ fuckin’ bowlin’.”

I pout and put my cell on the nightstand. Rolling towards him I slide my hand under the bed covers until I find his cock. Gently, I wrap my fingers around him and slowly slide my hand right down then up his length. I give the head a little squeeze and hear him grunt.

Just as I feel his hips jerk towards me, I let him go and get up.

“Hey!” he growls. “Where are you goin’?” he demands as he sits up.

“To shower. I'm just reminding you who has who wrapped around their fingers.”

Jace grunts but doesn’t reply. He flops back on the bed as I walk into the ensuite. I take a long shower and half expect Jace to join me. After fifteen minutes when he hasn’t joined me I hop out and get dry. As I walk into the bedroom I find Jace on the end of the bed as naked as the day he was born, slowly stroking his erection.

“What are you doing?” I ask.

“Waitin’ for you to finish what you started. I’m fairly sure I need to be convinced to go bowling,” he says with a cocky grin.

“Is that so?” I ask, as I slowly walk towards him, dropping my towel to the floor on the way.

  *

“THAT WAS AMAZING,” Jace says before he takes a swig of his beer. “I’m bloody full though. I’ve never seen so much food in my life.”

Krystal chose a little Chinese restaurant for dinner tonight. Instead of us all getting individual meals, we decided on a banquet to share. But the banquet was big enough to feed ten people instead of four like it suggested.

“I told y’all it was a good place.” She looks to me. “Toilet trip?” she asks, and I nod.

“I’m glad we’ve all gone out tonight. We need to do it again,” I say to Krystal, while we’re in the bathroom and she’s freshening up her makeup.

“Monthly date night sounds good.” She looks down at her phone, then to me.

“Come on, before the guys get impatient.”

Krystal follows me back into the restaurant but pauses when we get near our table. Everything seems… different. There’s no one else here and the lights have been dimmed. I turn to Krystal, but she's not there.

I go to grab my phone when I hear it. Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran begins to play as I see Jace walking towards me. He stops two feet in front of me and drops down on one knee.

“Are you...?” I manage to get out.

“Angel, I tell you all the time that I love you so friggin much, but I’m goin’ to say it again. I love you with all my heart. I know we have had a rocky relationship, but I know it has made us stronger. Every day I’m grateful that I wake up next to you. You’re everything’ to me and the day you walked into my life was the day it turned around. I was hurtin’ after dad’s death and you helped me through it. I want to spend every day for the rest of my life wakin’ up next to you.” He flips open a blue velvet ring box and inside is a stunning white gold ring with a princess cut diamond and smaller diamonds running around the band.

“Will you marry me, Callie?” Jace asks. I stand stunned for a few seconds. “You’re killin’ me here, Angel,” he says when I don't answer.

“Oh, my God, yes, yes,” I cry out, as I throw myself at him and wrap my arms around him. We both crash to the ground and Jace’s lips find mine as he wraps his arms around me. “I love you so much. You surprised me,” I mumble against his lips.

  “Usually proposals are a surprise.”

“That's enough children. I’m not bailing you out of jail because you two couldn't keep things G rated,” Bry says, coming out of nowhere.

I look up and see Krystal and Bry walking in the door. Krystal has a huge smile on her face and tears in her eyes.

I climb off Jace and stand up before Krystal comes over and flings her arms around my neck. “I’m so happy for you. I didn't even know he was going to propose.” She steps back and stands next to Bryson. “This idiot only just told me when we first got here. He said I wouldn’t have been able to control myself and not tell you.” We all laugh because it's really Bryson who is terrible at keeping things quiet.

“Now, can we go bowling?” I ask as we leave the restaurant.

Jace looks down at me with a warm smile on his handsome face. “Anything you want, Angel.” He picks up my hand and kisses my finger that holds my engagement ring. “I love you.”

“I love you as well,” I reply with a smile that matches his.

  Chapter 31

  Callie

I PULL MY phone out of my pocket as it’s ringing. It’s been several days since I’ve had a call from Jimmy and today is going to be just like the rest. I hit the dismiss button again and put it back in my pocket.

It’s been a week since we went bowling. Since Jace asked me to marry him. I look down at my ring and smile. It still feels unreal.

I continue to make our bed and put away the washing. On Saturday, I managed to get caught up on most of the paperwork for the business. Who knew breeding horses would create so much work in the office?

I’ve just put away the last of Jace’s clothes when my phone rings once again. It’s the fourth time in the last half h
our.

“What do you want this time Jimmy? Can’t you just leave me alone?”

“Ah, Angel, it’s me. Don’t get annoyed with me and don’t hang up.”

“Are you serious Jace, what are you doing there? Why are you there? How come you didn’t tell me?”

I am so pissed, he has gone behind my back and gone to see them. I obviously don’t want to talk to them. If I did, I would answer their damned calls.

“Just come down and hear them out, baby. You don’t have to do anythin’ you don’t want.”

“What I don’t want is to see them and I want you to keep out of it.”

“I only got in it when your uncle rang me because you’ve been ignorin’ him for a month. You haven’t even told me they’ve been callin’ you.”

“Because it is nothing. That’s why.”

“If it’s nothin’ why haven’t you told me?” I go to answer, but he talks before I can. “Look, I’m not arguing with you about it here. I’ll be home soon, and we’ll talk.”

I hang up without replying to him. I’m too pissed off to talk to him.

I HATE THAT I went behind Callie’s back, but when Jimmy and Dexter called this morning and said they have been trying to contact her for over a month with no reply, I knew I had to do something. I didn’t know it was going to be this big though.

“Are you sure about this?” I ask him for the tenth time.

He sighs and rubs his hands over his face before answering “Yes. We need to deal with the minor problem first, then once it’s done, we can break the big news.”

It’s going to kill Callie when she finds out. I just know it. I hate seeing my girl hurt, but I know that now it’s out there she needs to know as well. If she finds out from someone else, it will be worse.

“She didn’t sound too keen to come in and talk when I spoke to her last,” Dexter says.

I don’t blame her. God, if they knew the half of what Callie went through in her teens they wouldn’t be standing here like this.

After arranging to call them tomorrow once I have talked to Callie again, I get the hell out of there. I know Callie is going to be pissed when I get home and I figure it’s best to get it over and done with.

  Chapter 32

  Callie

I’M WAITING OUT on the front porch when Jace pulls up hours later. I just want to wring his neck.

He parks his truck in the car garage then walks over towards the house. He briefly pauses when he sees me sitting here.

“Hey Angel,” he says as he sits down next to me.

“You lied to me,” I say calmly. A hell of a lot calmer than I feel inside. “You told me you were going to see a client about the horse papers.”

“Well, does it help if I say I did see a client?”

I jump up and spin around to glare at him. “No! It doesn’t. Christ Jace, you know what I went through. It hurts to think of anything to do with Martin and what he could possibly want.”

“I know. You’ve told me. You’ve told me all about what that sick bastard did to you. I understand where you come from. But Dexter and Jimmy haven’t done anythin’ to you. You don’t need to accept anythin’, just go visit them and get it all sorted out.”

I glare at him for a long moment before walking inside.

I’ll go visit them alright, and they will wish they’d never contacted me, to begin with. I go and find my purse and winter jacket before grabbing the car keys. I wish my past would just fuck off and leave me alone. Is it not enough that I had to live it in the first place? Now people keep on insisting on bringing it up.

“Where are you goin’, Callie?” Jace calls out, as I stomp outside towards my car. I ain’t stopping to answer him. “Wait until you have calmed down.”

“Oh, I am calm, don’t you worry.” Such a lie. I am so wound up I can feel my hands shaking. I can feel my whole body is coiled uptight.

I can hear him stomping along behind me, and so I start to run towards my car. I get in and just manage to lock the doors as he reaches the car. “Let me in Callie. I’ll come with you.”

  “No. You’ve done enough.”

“Just wind down the window and talk to me, please,” he pleads.

I study him, and he looks worried. I feel bad because none of this is his fault, but I’m so angry that he went behind my back. We are engaged. We don’t have secrets anymore. Then I freeze. I didn’t tell him about the phone calls. I kept them from him. I’m a hypocrite.

I wind the window down. “Let me do this. I just want to get it over and done with now. I’ll call you if I need.”

After a brief moment, he nods. “Okay baby, I love you. Don’t you forget that.” He leans into the car and gives me a sweet, gentle kiss. I just want to melt into him and have him protect me, but I need to face this. I need to get this over and done with, so I can move on.

  *

I BARGE THROUGH the door into Jimmy’s office. Too bad if he was busy. He wanted to see me, so here I am.

He jumps up as the door smashes into the wall and bounces back.

“You’ve been harassing me now for a month and even contacted my fiancé for a meeting, behind my back. What the hell do you want Jimmy?” I yell out.

He stands there motionless just watching me. I study his face as we continue the silence that stretches between us. His eyes are warm. He’s never been anything like Martin. But I can’t and won’t trust anyone in this family. I’ve been hurt too much in the past.

Jimmy grabs his desk as he slowly lowers himself to his chair, his intense gaze not leaving my face. He looks shocked, like he’s going to break out crying.

After a long moment, he gestures for me to sit in front of him. I hesitate but take a seat.

“What has he done? What has he got to say for himself? I ’m not taking any letter from him. I told him the other month I didn’t want to hear anything he had to say, and it hasn’t changed.”

Finally, Jimmy gets his act together. After taking a long drink of his water, he talks. “I don’t know anything about any letters. What I need to talk about is that Martin left half of Reeve and Co. to me…” he pauses, “and the other half he left to you.”

“No! No fucking way.” I jump up and storm towards the door. “I ain’t having anything to do with this place. You can keep it all.”

“Callista, hang on,” he says in a commanding tone and I stop.

“My name is Callie. Do not call me anything else,” I growl as I reach for the door handle.

“Sorry, Callie. I need to explain some things and if you really don’t want anything to do with the company, I will need you to sign some paperwork.” I sigh but turn around and stare at him for a long period. After what feels like an eternity, I sit back in the chair.

“Well, start explaining,” I say gruffly.

“About six months ago, Martin changed his will so that you would own fifty percent of the company as well as me. He requested that we both run it side by side.” I narrow my eyes and glare at him. Is he for real? “But if it is something you really don’t want, that is okay. We can draw up documents that we both sign that says you give me full control and ownership of the company.” I just simply nod. There is no changing my mind. “I will buy you out for your share.”

I shake my head. “No. I don’t want or need your money. I definitely don’t want Martin’s money.”

He sighs but doesn’t comment. He shuffles some paperwork on the desk for a minute then looks up at me. “Martin said that he always wished you and he would run Reeve and Co. together, but when you left years ago, he gave up on that idea. He said if you ever changed your mind about becoming an attorney, this place would always be here for you.”

Sounds like he was even more delusional than I remember. How could he think I’d want anything from him?

“Look, Jimmy, I’ll never accept anything from Martin. Can we please just skip all the chit-chat about it and work on getting these
papers signed so I can leave.”

“Callie, we need to draw them up first. It’ll take some time to get them done. In the meantime-”

I stand again and cut him off. “That’s all then. I’m sure you now know my address, so have them sent to me.” Turning to the door again, I go to leave.

“One last thing.” What the fucking hell now? I turn to look at him and wait for him to talk. “He also left half of his personal belongings to you. You know of all the houses and properties he owns. He wants you to have the holiday house in Tampa and the penthouse in New York that he owns.”

“Wait. Just wait a fucking minute. If I don’t want this company, what makes you think I want his houses?”

He sighs loudly. Yeah, I might be being difficult for Jim, but still, I really don’t care now. This is a real blow.

“Callie, I don’t know what the hell is going on, but I’m only going by his wishes and what is written in his will. Along with the properties, there is also his BMW and a total of $1.5 million.”

I think I just about fall to the floor. Does he think he can buy my forgiveness? Does he think that if he gives me all his money, it will erase my nightmare memories? Does he think I can just forget I gave birth to my daughter? My daughter that I fell pregnant with, when he raped me?

It’s too much. It’s all too much. I’m just about to give up and leave when Jimmy’s office door opens behind me and I turn to see my mother walk through.

Can this day get any worse?

Not only do I find out the person who abused me for years has left half of everything to me and expects me to run his company, but now the one person who could have saved me is here.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I ask.

“I thought I told you, you’re not welcome here anymore,” Jimmy says, and my mother ignores him.

“So, you’ve come back and want to be family now he’s leaving everything to you,” my good for nothing mother says to me, in a bitchy tone.
