"Have you brought any car? You know it's impossible for us to hitch hike or reach the Rebel's place in a very short amount of time" I said.
"Don't forget that I'm the king Cass, of course I brought a car" He said as we reach the entrance of the forest and there I saw a car parked with a guy who is familiar to me and he's waiting for us.
"He's Rex, I assume you know him already. he is my right hand man and he takes over whenever I'm not around" Serafin said as he introduces me to the guy.
I looked at the guy and yes he's familiar, Serafin was with him when Serafin went to the University earlier just to see me, he is the guy wearing a varsity jacket. I didn't know that the King has a right hand man.
If the Alpha has a Beta then of course the King has a right hand man and it's this guy in front of me.
If the king's right hand man is a university student, then it means he knows that I'm close to the Delta.
The king's right hand man, Rex bowed to me "Nice meeting you our Queen" He said and looked at me.
I smiled awkwardly "N-nice meeting you" I said and entered the car.
I sat at the back seat as Serafin sat at the passenger's seat. "Who's already there?" Serafin asked Rex.
"The other officials are there, the fake cardinal and the advisors are also there but we have a problem my King" Rex said as he fix his gaze to the road.
"A problem? What is it?" Serafin asked.
"Unfortunately, the oracle is also there" Rex said making my eyes big, the oracle? Does he mean Lucy? The King and the Alpha's sister? The one who died? I wanted to ask him that but Serafin will get suspicious if he finds out that I know about the existence of Lucy.
I don't know but I can say that Serafin was also shocked, he looked at me for awhile and then he shifted his gaze to Rex.
"What is Lucy doing in my kingdom?" Serafin asked, so it's true, it's Lucy. The oracle is alive but why did Yvan told me that she's dead? Does Yvan know that Lucy is alive or did Yvan lied to me?
"The oracle says that---" Rex paused and then he looked at me "--that she wants to see the queen" Rex said and gave back his gaze to the road.
Serafin looked at me "Me?" I asked. "Why does she want to see the Queen?" Serafin asked.
"I don't know my King but she refused to speak to any of our advisors. She even refused to speak with the Cardinal, she only wants to speak with the Queen" Rex said as he fixes his gaze to the road.
Serafin sighed "Make it faster then, we need to arrive there fast" Serafin commanded.
"Yes my king" Rex answered.
I bit my lower lip, why does she want to see me? Will this be about what she has told me in the auditorium earlier?
Lara's Point of view
We came out from where we are hiding as we watch the king and Cassandra leave the woods. I sighed staring at Cassandra's back
"If you have not come to stop us from hurting that woman, we might have been in danger in the hands of the king" Says one my hunters.
He's right, it's a good thing that I predicted that Cassandra will follow me up until here and it's a good thing that I was able to stop my hunters from hurting Cassandra because if they did, we will all be in great chaos.
"Who is that woman anyway Lara? Why did you stop us from hurting her and why is the king involved here?" Says Devon, my co-leader.
I sighed "She's my friend, my best friend" I said.
Devon chuckled "You're best friend? Are you kidding me Lara, she suspects you that's why she followed you up until here. Is that what you call a best friend?" Devon said mocking me.
"Because I lied to her, she saw my tattoo and I lied about it. You know that no one can know that the hunters has come back" I said.
Devon looked at me with his curious eyes "Why would you lie to her, you told me that she's a human and since you are her bestfriend, we can just have her in our empire" Devon said.
I shook my head "It's not that easy, she's not just a mere human being Devon" I said as I cross my arms.
"What do you mean?" Devon asked as he stares at me.
"That woman is the Delta's best friend, the Alpha's personal servant and most importantly, she's also the Queen" I said and made Devon lose his composure, with his shocked expression, he locked his gaze to my eyes.
"You're joking right? Tell me you are" Devon said like as if he doesn't want to believe what I have just told him.
"That's why if I was not able to stop you earlier and you we're able to kill her then we will all be in trouble in the hands of the Delta, the Alpha and most importantly the King" I said and looked at Devon who is still surprised and shocked from what I have said.
I smirked "Move on Devon, she's gone now" I said as I enjoy his shocked expression.
"But how can she be the Queen when she's well acquainted to the Hybrid empire? She's the hybrid's friend and servant" Devon asked.
I shrugged "I also don't know, I can't ask her myself because I myself has secrets that I am hiding from her" I said and started walking back to the base.
"Hey Lara wait!" Devon shouted as he try to chase me.
"But don't you think it's fascinating? She's in both sides, she can be a ticking bomb in the near future. Wow this is a freaking news, I still can't believe that someone can manage to be on both sides" Devon said as he is still amused about Cassandra.
"Lara can you not do that for our empire? Invite her in our empire and she will surely be of a great help to us" Devon shamelessly proposed.
I shook my head "Are you listening to what you are saying right now Devon, I told you she is my best friend. Is there someone who wants her best friend to suffer mentally and emotionally? She's already suffering enough between the two empires, forcing herself to fit in both empires and then here I am, adding salt to her wound?" I said as I shook my head.
I looked at Devon with my disappointed expression "I'm not an opportunist Devon" I said as we reach our base.
I'm Lara, the daughter of the leader of the previous hunter Empire that has gone extinct in the eyes of many people but I can say that we we're just inactive for many decades. As of now, I'm trying to rebuild the Empire of hunters. Wolves has taken over our lives and all our life we've been obedient to them when in fact we should not be, that's why we're trying to strengthen ourselves for the incoming war. After all, the Hybrids and the Rebels also sees us as threats. As huge threats to their empire.
Cassandra's Point of view
Rex opened the door for me as we enter the king's castle. Outside, there are guards in their wolf form roaming around the castle to make it safe for the ones who will be attending the meeting.
We entered the huge room which I assumed is the meeting room and there I saw Misty, three old men which I assume are the advisors and two more people whom I still do not know.
"Where is Lucy?" Serafin asked one of the old men as soon as we entered the room.
"She's waiting in her room and she's waiting for the Queen" Says one of them and looked at me. "Let's go Cass" Serafin said and led the way. I looked at Misty and smiled to her, she smiled back and then I left to follow Serafin.
Serafin and I entered a room which is probably Lucy's room, after entering, there I saw a familiar woman with her dark long hair laid down, she's smirking at me creepily like as if I am her prey.
This woman is very familar to me, I know I saw her somewhere.
"What is this again Lucy?" Serafin asked annoyed "Why do you want the Queen?" Serafin asked.
"Don't you think you are making a very huge risk here? You made a mere human as your Queen? Can she even help you in the war?" She said in a calm but creepy manner. Serafin laughed silently "Is this the sole reason why you came all the way here? To mock me?" Serafin asked in a very cold manner.
Lucy chuckled "Don't worry, I did not came here for you. I came here for her highness, the Queen" Lucy said and looked at me. This woman is so creepy that all her actions scare me.
"What do you want to tell her?" Serafin asked.
"Its only for her and
me, I would want the king to get out of this room now" Lucy ordered and did not bother to look at Serafin.
Serafin seemed annoyed "Are you kidding me now, you are ordering me to get out of my own castle? Are you trying to mock me?" Serafin said.
"I'm not disrespecting anyone here my king, I just want to speak with the Queen. Now I would appreciate it if you give us a little privacy" Lucy said, Serafin sighed like as if he lost to the oracle.
He looked at me and then he shifted his gaze to Lucy "Fifteen minutes, that's all I can give you. After that, I want you to leave me and the Queen" Serafin said and left the room.
Lucy grinned and then she looked at me, she stood up and walked towards me. That familiar creepy aura and face of hers is making me uncomfortable.
"We met twice, right?" She asked as she lowers the distance between us.
Twice? How come we met twice?
"You know that I was the one who contacted you using the Alpha's phone number, you know that I was the one who talked to you in that dark auditorium earlier" She said as she moves around me.
"Just who are you? And we never met twice, we only met once" I said, after saying that, she laughed.
"You're even lying to your self. You just told your self that you saw me somewhere and that I am familiar to you which means that what happened to us in the auditorium is not a first encounter" Lucy said, I looked at her.
"Who the hell are you?' I asked but she just gave me grin.
Chapter 13
Winning against the Beta

"We met twice and right now you're thinking where was the first one. Am I right?" Lucy asked. I just stared at her and didn't bother to answer, she's probably showing off that she can read minds.
I heard Lucy chuckle "Yeah, you're quite right. i am showing off right now, I'm bragging that I can read your mind" Lucy said and looked at me.
"The second time that you met the king was the first time you met me. I was the woman who served that coffee in the coffee shop, I gave you that coffee that made you dizzy. Still don't remember?" Lucy asked.
After saying that, I suddenly remembered that moment, that one moment of my life that changed everything.
It was her, it was the waitress who stared at me creepily that day and yes it was her, the one who gave me that coffee and made me the Queen instantly.
"So it was you" I said showing her my anger.
She smiled "Finally you remember me" She said.
"Why do you want to see me?" I asked without beating around the bush.
After asking that, her expression changed "I already warned you didn't I, why are you still here? Do you really want to create war within the empires? Does being a queen excites you or is being both in the Alpha and the King's side makes you happy?" She said in a very serious tone.
I looked at her "I never intended on being a spy to both sides and I never wanted to be a part of this kind of mess Lucy. Before it's too late? It's already late Lucy, you trying to warn me right now is already very late because the moment you gave me that coffee in that coffee shop that day was the moment where my life began to go upside down" I said as I stare directly in her eyes.
"You're the one who made my life like this great oracle. You are the one who started it that's why you don't have any rights to warn me anything because everything is all too late now" I said as we both stare at each other trying to get on each other's nerves.
Lucy smirked "So now you're trying to look for someone to blame now? You are blaming your cowardice to someone? How cowardly" Lucy said mocking me.
I looked at her with my annoyed expression, she's partly right though.
"I won't deny what you had just said but I'm not being coward right now. I stayed being on both sides not because I'm terrified right now but because I have my own plan and reason" I said.
"Exactly, that's the main reason why I wanted to see you today. Because of your lame plan and because of your mere existence in Luna Canidae. In the future, you yourself will be the one who will destroy Luna Canidae" She said as she stare at me.
"You will not just destroy Luna Canidae but you will also destroy yourself, do you want that to happen. That's the main reason why I'm here, to warn you that your mere existence will cause chaos" Lucy said.
"Is it because I'm on both sides, I don't think that me being on both sides will result in to great chaos. I'm not that important anyway, why do I feel like this your prophecy is a little exaggerated" I said.
After saying that, she chuckled and then she showed me that creepy smile of hers.
"I'm just an oracle anyway, I can't change anyone's decision" She said and started walking to the door.
"Fifteen minutes is up, don't tell I never warned you. Now its your decision to make" She said, opened the door and left.

I opened my eyes as I hear my alarm clock, I set the alarm for 9 am yesterday night when I reach home after my meeting with Serafin and the Rebels.
Granny was so worried that she waited for me up until 11 pm. She was so worried that she wanted to whip me with her spatula when I reached home, thankfully it was Rex who led me home and not Serafin because if it was Serafin then Granny might have gotten a heart attack.
I told her that we we're busy on our research paper that's why we we're not able to track the time, it was also a good thing that Granny believed Rex is a wolf and that I am safe with him.
Granny even asked me where Yvan is and why is he not with me that's why I just told her that Yvan was busy with his affiliations as the Delta.
I stretched my arms and went out of my bed to prepare for my class.
As usual, I can smell granny's ever famous adobo. Well I hope she cooks caldereta too.
I went straight to the bathroom and as I do my thing, I remembered the meeting with rebels.
Since they believe that there are two people from the Rebellion Empire that has infiltrated the Hybrid Empire, they gave most of the work to me and to Misty.
Both Misty and I needs to pretend that we're in the Hybrid's side but what they do not is that we're neither on the Rebels nor the Hybrid's side.
Yes we need to pretend because this is the only way to protect the people that are important to us.
After taking my bath, I went out of my bathroom with only my bathrobe on.
"What took you so long?" Says the Alpha who's been sitting in my bed examining my underwear with my napkin attached with it.
Deja vu this kind of scene always happens to me like almost every time or should I say everyday?
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked the Alpha showing him my anger and annoyance.
"I'm here to see you of course. I was not able to see my servant for two straight days anyway" The Alpha said making me want to give him a raging uppercut.
I walked towards him and snatched my undies away from him, what a freaking perverted darned asshole.
"Why do you want to see me for?" I asked "And you already saw me, I'm well and good so if you don't mind, I want you to get out of my room and my room great Alpha since I need to dress myself" I said.
The Alpha chuckled "You can do it in front of me, I saw everything anyway. And not to mention, I also enjoyed them" He said showing me his perverted smile.
Now he's starting to get on my nerves. "I want you to get out of room right now" I said showing him that I;m dead serious.
The Alpha smiled and shook my head "Go to the Hybrid mansion after your class and I want you to sleep there" He said.
"Wait what? No I can't do it. The agreed schedule was Saturday and Sunday. This is nit what we agreed upon" I protested.
"Even if its a double pay?" The Alpha said trying to bribe me.
"Triple pay?" The Alpha said.
"Sure what time should I be there?" I asked showing him a pretty smile.
The Alpha shook his head and then he stood up to walk toward me. "So money does not buy you huh?" He said giving me a smirk.
"I-I'm just agreeing because I'm your servant anyway. You can always tell me not to go and I won't, it's simple as that" I said avoiding his burning gaze.
The Alpha smirked at me and then he walked to my verandah.
"You should be there by 4 pm" He said, winked at me and then he left.
I rolled my eyes and closed my veranda's door for me to be able to dress my self properly.
I will never know, who comes in to my room and invade my freaking privacy.
I dressed my self up as fast as I could so that I could go downstairs to eat. I'm craving for granny's adobo.
As I am enjoying the food that Granny served for me, granny sat on the chair in front of me.
"Is someone in your room right now Cassandra?" Granny asked, I looked at her.
"What do you mean granny? No one's in my room though, why?" I asked.
"Nah, I just heard you talking to someone in your room earlier" Granny said and started eating her food.
"Oh that? I was talking to someone on my phone earlier" I said and ate my food.
Thankfully, Granny did not enter my room because if she did, she would have gotten a heart attack. She doesn't even know the risks I'm doing right now and I never have any intentions of telling her on what situation I am right now.

I hurriedly entered the lecture room where my first subject is. For this course, the Beta will be my class mate.
I sat down beside the Beta, it seems like he was not able to recognize that someone sat beside him since he's obviously and as usual he is sleeping.
I wonder if still looks down to me, well I made a very big contribution to have him and Misty get back to each other.
I shrugged and got my notes to listen to our professor.
