Misty rolled her eyes as she stare at me "You know that being a mate gives you all the privelege that you can receive that's why everyone dreams of becoming a high ranking hybrid's mate" Misty said still locking her gaze at me.
"And so?' I asked.
"My family may not receive the tight security that granny is receiving right now but fortunately my family is also under tight security right now because I also became a mate and so its all thanks to my mate" Misty said as she grin leaving me speechless like as if a cold bucket of ice and water was thrown to me.
Her mate? What does she mean by that?
"Y-you're a what? How can you be a mate? I thought the Alpha can only have one mate? How did that happened? I mean how could you become Lucas' mate?" I asked showing her my shocked, disappointed and angry expression.
Having two mates? Its a big joke. What an absurd and funny situation to have my own mate become my friend's mate too, it will be very unacceptable.
"Wait what? The Alpha?!? No, what the hell are you saying Cass? Why would I even be the Alpha's mate, are you crazy? Of course I am the Beta's mate" Misty said removing the misunderstanding that I'm having right now.
After hearing what she said, I felt a sense of relief.
"T-the Beta's mate, wait the both of you tried to work on it? That's great then at least you don't have to to turn him down just because you are the Cardinal. How did it go? We're you already introduced as his mate?" I asked as I felt a sense of freaking relief.
Misty smiled and then she sighed.
"Actually Cass" Misty said as she pause, with a sign of guilt she looked at me. "Before I became the fake Cardinal, Eros already imprinted his mark in my body. I was already his mate right before I became a fake Cardinal" Msty said.
"Of course I felt sorry that I had to lie to him and leave him even though he imprinted his mark to me to save my family, after all, we are slaves of the Rebellion Empire" She said as she shows me her mark in the same spot where I got Lucas' mark.
I nod as I listen to her.
"All this time, I thought that I had to do what the King asks me to do because I thought it's what my family needs me to do but I was wrong because they felt sorry that I needed to sacrifice for them" Misty said and I can see the gloom in her eyes.
Of course I understand her, we have almost the same situation anyway.
"So what did they say when they learned that you are the Beta's mate?" I asked as I show her my curiosity.
"They we're shocked of course but at the same time they're happy that they know that I will be doing what I want. As for the introducing of the Beta's mate, it already happened the day after you lost your conciousness" Misty said as she pause.
"Eros told me that it should happen as much as possible so that he can also protect my family and so it happened, I need to agree right away since my family needs to be protected and since I want to be his mate, well I always wanted to be his mate" Misty explained.
"So" I said as I smile naughtily. I know that she knows what I'm thinking. Well she should know since she's a mate.
"So my million dollar question is-- have you already slept with him? Or---" I said and grinned "Or you always sleep with him even before you became the fake Cardinal?" I asked flashing my naughty and playful smirk.
Misty smirked as she blush "Of course----" Misty said and looked at me.
"I'm more advance than you are madame, I'm not slow and conservative just like you Cass" Misty said mocking me as I raise my eye brows.
"Wait Mist don't tell me that you had sex with him before he even imprinted his mark on you, what the hell Mist, just how many times did you sleep with him?" I asked as I raise my eye brows as she laugh hard and she seem enjoying my reaction right now.
"I can't believe that you are the Alpha's mate when you are this innocent Cass. Sleeping with him many times is not a big deal Cass, its not even a crime to sleep with your mate many times and don't act like you're really so naive about these things" Misty said as she laugh, teaching me the knows and hows of what a mate should do.
I rolled my eyes as I shook my head "Anyways" I said as I change the topic.
Well I SHOULD change the topic, she's polluting my mind.
"What about the human civilians? What are there reaction when they learned that our Cardinal is a fake one?" I asked as I look at her.
"Of course they we're angry and scared, I already conducted an official apology but still we will be punished under the law of the Hybrid system but it won't be death since we contributed in apprehending the spies and since we are mates, its just that--" Misty said and sighed.
"I just don't know what kind of punishement will we receive because they still need to wait until you're awake" Misty said.
"Some human civillians are of course angry but most we're able to understand me because the Alpha also explained my situation to the people its just that the people are now scared because they know that the Cardinal may just be roaming around in Luna Canidae and his/her life may have been in danger right now" Misty said.
"That's why all of the Hybrids right now are busy searching for the real Cardinal, everyone are doing their best to survey all the humans who are twenty right now" Misty said with a tone of guilt in her voice.
"There was also a rumor that the Cardinal was killed twenty years ago when the hybrids tried to kill the childern of the hunters but of course that's just a rumor" Misty said, I sighed and asked her another question to change the topic.
"A-and what about Mr Jackson? How is his funeral? I mean was it done properly?" I asked throwing another question to her so that he will not feel the guilt of being the fake Cardinal.
"Yup of course, don't worry, it was done properly thanks to the Alpha. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any family who showed up in his ritual rites that's why the Alpha himself showed up as his family making his funeral done properly" Misty said as she narrates what happened to Mr Jackson's funeral, I sighed out of relief. That's good to hear then.
I'll make sure to visit him after I get out of here. I'm the reason of his death and so I should mourn for his death.
"And oh" Misty said and looked at me.
"Since you also said that the oracle is alive, they are also searching for her because she is the only one who can pin point the real Cardinal" Misty said making me raise my eye brows because of confusion.
"What do you mean the oracle is the only one who can pin point the Cardinal? I thought its the Alpha and the Delta, the moment that Lucas and Yvan smells the blood of a Cardinal to a human then that's the time that human becomes the Cardinal, am I wrong?" I asked.
"Of course you're correct, what you know is right. Its just that the Delta and the Alpha can recognize the Cardinal because of its scent but it will be too vague to identify the Cardinal just by its scent that's why they're looking for Lucy" Misty said.
"Since Lucy is like a part of the Cardinal" Misty added as I start to understand why.
I nod, Misty's right, she would be of a great help to find the real Cardinal.
"But did you really saw the oracle yourself Cass? Eros told me that you met the oracle personally" Misty said.
"Yvan was also waiting for you to wake up because you we're not able to tell him what the oracle told you when you met her" Misty asked as she look at me.
"I mean everyone actually wants to know and needs to know what you two had talked about. You know that everyone wants to talk to the oracle but she chose to talk to you that's why everyone in the hybrid empire are waiting for you to wake up" Misty added as I see the curiosity in the tone of her voice.
Oh yeah, I remember, I forgot to tell Yvan what the Oracle had told me because I was summoned to the Hybrid mansion because of Lucas.
I nod and looked at Misty but I looked at her with my confused eyes "Wait haven't you met the oracle yourself? You we're in the rebellion empire when I met her there, how come you never saw her?" I asked with all confusion in my voice.
Misty nod "Yeah I was there but she locked her
self up in a room that's why no one saw the oracle but only you and Serafin that day since she chose to only talk to you" Misty said.
I sighed "Yeah I'll tell them what she told me later on don't worry" I said and then I remebered Lara.
"Anyways? W-what about Lara? What happened to her? I mean are there any updates about her?" I asked showing Misty my concern.
"And how come Eros was not able to get her when he was there when the Rebels attacked?" I asked bombarding Misty with lots of questions again.
Misty stared at me for a while and then she sighed "About Lara---" Misty said as she stare at me.
"To tell you the truth, Eros didn't really fail to get her" Misty started.
"Wait what? What do you mean he didn't fail to get her?" I asked.
"Actually Lara chose to come with the rebels Cass, she did not fail to escape because she chose not to escape" Misty said making me confused of the situation.
"That day, the moment when the rebels came was also the moment Eros came. Lara locked us in your house's basement so that the rebels' won't be able to see us. When Lara was seen and caught by the reebels, that's the time Eros came that's why the rebels retreated while having Lara in their hands" Misty explained.
I raise my eye brows because I don't understad why Lara had to do that when in fact they can all hide themselves in the basement.
"She saved us and I don't know the reason why she did that" Misty added.
"And yes I know what you think Cass, someone actually had to stay outside and expose themselves so that they can divert the attention to them. If we all went inside the basement then maybe before Eros could even arrive, the Rebels may have gotten us already" Misty said acting like a psychic.
I sighed, am I really that easy to read?
But thinking back, Misty's actually right, why would Lara sacrifice herself for Misty and granny when in fact she's angry towards me and not to mention that the Hunters needs her, she is the leader of the hunters so why did she have to do that?
"But what's more confusing is that she told me something before she got caught" Misty said as she stare at me.
With all curiosity, I looked at her "What did she told you?" I asked Misty showing her my curiosity.
Misty paused for a while "I don't actually understand why she said that but she told me that she'll be back and once she comes back, she will get you. Yeah it sounds like a freaking threat but it doesn't feel like it" Misty said as she explains what Lara told her.
Wrinkles formed in my head because of confusion "She'll get me? What does she mean by that and why did she say that?" I asked.
Misty shrugged "How would I know, I don't know, if I had known, I'd tell you and oh by the way when we we're in your Granny's house, she actually kept on wondering around the house that Granny was so conscious around her, granny even scolded her hard because she keeps on wondering and rummaging around the house and she always talks to someone on the phone at night" Misty said creeping me out.
Just what is wrong with Lara?
I'm sure that something's going on or it could be that she has a plan but what is it?
"She doesn't really look like she wants to harm granny because when the Rebels came, she locked us in the basement and told me to protect your granny as much as I can, she even told me to protect her even if it means losing my life" Misty added adding confusion to me.
"And that's too offensive in my freaking part" Misty added.
I breathe in and out trying to think of a reason why she would do and say that "I don't get it, I don't understand her" I said as I stare at my blanket.
"Yeah me too, she's annoying and creepy and I don't like her" Misty whispered.
After a couple of silence, Misty stood up "I'll just get the doctors and inform the Alpha and your Granny that you're already awake" Misty said and got out of the room.
I sighed, in just a little span of days and time, things had gotten really uncontrollable that it became a huge mess. A freaking huge mess.
Back then I didn't even know who to trust and who to side with but now I know who I should really become and who to trust and that is the Hybrid Empire with Lucas whom I trust the most.
I sighed as I look at the door as the doctors enter together with Misty whose talking to someone on the phone. It could be Lucas or Granny.

I am currently facing Lucas, Eros and Yvan right now and we are having a private meeting about my encounter with Lucy, I just got out of the hospital yesterday and here I am facing the Alpha, the Beta and of course the Delta.
Lucas and Granny really ran to the hospital, the moment they heard that I woke up and I must admit that I liked that attention that they gave. They even had a race in reaching the hospital and that was really funny.
This day I decided to tell them what the oracle told me because it may help them to find the oracle, Lucy.
I breathe before starting to talk "I don't know if this can actully help but I first met Lucy in the coffee shop named Garden cafe located at Luna Canidae Supermart" I started.
"I first met Lucy there and she served me the coffee with the drugs in it and after drinking that coffee, I felt so dizzy. It was actually a plan I think made by Serafin so that he can tame me and imprint his mark without worries" I said and looked at Lucas' reaction as I become careful of what I say.
"And just like his plan, Serafin used that opportunity to imprint his mark to me. I was actually thinking that Lucy played a big part in making me the Rebellion Empires' Queen" I said and let out a huge sigh.
"At first I thought that Lucy is standing against the Hybrid Empire and is helping Serafin because she played a huge part in making me a rebel but I was wrong because when Lucy came to see me in the Rebellion Enpire's territory, Serafin was not happy to have Lucy in the Rebellion empire's territory" I said.
"He even guarded us outside the room while I'm having a conversation with Lucy and he really looked like he'd kill the Oracle" I added.
"Its because the siblings are cursed to hate and despise each other that's why while Lucas became the Alpha, Serafin became a rebel and Lucy, their last child became an oracle who only shows herself to certain people" Says Eros.
"Wait what? Curse? What do you mean by that?" I asked showing my curiosity.
"I'll tell you about that later on, but Eros is right, we we're cursed to hate each other that's why I just wonder why Lucy was in Serafin's cafe and why did she serve a coffe with drugs to you" Lucas said.
"I don't know, but that time it was so obvious that she helped Serafin to make me a rebel" I said.
"Or I guess I understand now" Lucas added making my eye brows raise.
"The oracle has the ablity to see the future and her job is to make sure that the future that she sees happens, she did it to make sure that you become the Queen and to make sure that the war that she foresaw will happen. She wants the war to happen while having you as the bait to both empires. She wants me and Serafin to fight since she knows in the first place that you are the Alpha's mate" Lucas said.
Eros nod "Having an Alpha's mate as the the Rebellion Empires Queen will definitely trigger a war between the Hybrids and the rebels, that is what Lucy wants to happen to make sure the future she saw happens" Eros added.
"But since you chose to stand with he Hybrid Empire, the war that Lucy wants to happen was minimized" Lucas said.
I was filled with confusion in my mind after they said that.
"I don't think so" I said as I look at them.
"What do you mean Cass?" Lucas asked.
"She makes sure that what she sees happens? I don't think so, because that's not what she told me. If she wants the future to happen just exactly like what she saw, then she should have told me to stay and fight with the Rebellion Empire" I said as I look at them.
"But--" I said as I pause "That's not what she told me, she even told me to run away. She told me to leave Luna Canidae before its too late" I said as I raise my confusion.
"Leave this place while you can, leave Luna Canidae and be gone because your mere existence means chaos to both the Hybrid Empire and the Rebellion Empire and guess what, the worst punishment that you can bring is ruining your own empire" I said as I look at them trying to imitate the oracle.
"That's what I remember that the Oracle told me when we met the second time and she also told me the same thing and words on the third time that we met each other" I said with all confusion in my tone.
"If the oracle's duty is to make sure the future happens, then why did she told me to run away when in fact she's the one who gave me the coffee with drugs" I said.
"She told you to run away? Why would she say that then?" Yvan asked as all of us is puzzled and confused.
"Wait what if the oracle doesn't really know that the coffee she served had drugs on it?" Eros said. "It could be that it was Serafin's plan doing all alone" Eros said.
"Dude, don't forget that she's the oracle. She knows what will happen next and she even knows what's around her so its impossible that she doesn't know what she's holding" Says Yvan.
I nodded "Yvan's right, I dont think Lucy doesn't know. She knows what she's holding that day and she knows what will happen because she was waiting for me in that cafe and I still remember what Serafin told her when he ordered the coffee 'Bring me the usual'" I said as I try to imitate Serafin.
"He asked Lucy to bring her the usual cafe that he always orders" I said.
"But aside from that, what else did the oracle told you?" Lucas asked.
I thought for a while "Well that's the only thing that I can remember for now, there are definitely more but I didn't put on much thought about it because I tought it was nonsense at first" I said
"I didn't even thought of running away just like what she warned me because I thought its was already useless" I added as I look at them.
"Its okay Cass" Lucas said as he sigh.
"You can freely tell me everything if ever you remember a thing. I'm all ears for what you have to say" Lucas said and then I nod as Lucas and Eros stand up.
