My little daughter’s life was also about to change permanently because she kept asking me about her father. She had always wanted to have a man in the house, but I had always been afraid of choosing the wrong one.
Now, however, I had finally found the perfect guy. I hoped that Steve would eventually adopt her, although I didn’t want to put the cart before the horse.
I felt that things were changing for the better and I found myself looking forward to the future. Steve completed making his pancakes and served the products of his work to us out on the table.
My mouth about fell open when I saw that they were Mickey Mouse- shaped.
“Yay!” Kelly called out, obviously noticing the same thing.
“Wow,” I said. “I’m impressed. How did you know…?”
But as I looked at Kate, who was winking at me, I knew the answer before I finished asking the question.
“Yeah, she clued me in to how Miss Kelly here likes her pancakes.”
“Thank you, Mr. Steve!” Kelly shouted.
“You can just call me Steve,” he said. “And maybe one day…”
He paused, but didn’t finish his sentence. I knew he wanted to say that maybe one day she could call him dad. I beamed back at him.
“Maybe one day I’ll learn how to make them a little less crispy,” he finished, with a wink. “Almost burnt them. Suffice it to say that this former bachelor isn’t used to making pancakes.”
“They taste great,” I told him, as I took a forkful. “No worries at all.”
“Why don’t we go see that latest Disney movie today?” Steve asked, turning to Kelly. “The one with the blue fish. Kate told me you liked that, too.”
“Hooray,” Kelly celebrated. “Can we go mommy, please? And Auntie Kate too?”
I looked at her and nodded.
“Of course, honey.”
I was so glad that she was happy with this arrangement that I would have promised her the moon.
Kate remained speechless. She was clearly moved by what she was seeing, and she had to take partial credit for bringing Steve and me together. Not to mention for the perfect pancakes and the movie idea.
I had a feeling that had she not shared that crucial information about where I worked, I would never have seen Steve again.
After breakfast, we all got dressed up and went down to the local theatre in Steve’s car. It was a cartoon movie and I usually didn’t like them but this time I didn’t mind, since I was in such a good mood. However, if it was possible, Kelly seemed to be in even higher spirits than I was.
She took Steve’s hand and walked with him happily. I was glad that the movie was only attended by a few other people and it was as though we had the entire theatre to ourselves.
In the darkness, as Kelly started concentrating on the film, Steve took my hand and turned to smile at me happily. It made me lose focus on what was going on, and I had to constantly whisper to my daughter to ask her what was happening.
At the end of the movie, Kelly was really happy, and she insisted on refilling her bottomless popcorn bucket with Steve. They held hands all the way to the car and Kelly was skipping, as if unable to hide her good mood.
I looked at my phone and realized that time had passed by very quickly. Whenever I found myself enjoying my time off, particularly with my daughter, it always seemed to go by so fast, though. And it seemed to be zipping by even more so, now that we all had the pleasure of Steve’s company.
“I have to go to work,” I said to Kate, “Do you mind watching Kelly?”
“No problem,” Kate said, giving me a slight pat on my hand.
We walked over to Steve and Kate. They had already gotten to the parking lot and they were singing some song they had heard in the movie. I wanted to say goodbye to them for now, but I was already looking forward to seeing them in the evening.
“Bye, guys,” I said, “I have to go to work but I’ll try to get out early today so I can come hang out some more before your bedtime, Kelly.”
There was another waitress who had said she was looking to take unwanted shifts off peoples’ hands so that she could get more hours. I was tempted to leave after the dinner rush if she could take my place.
Steve gave me a puzzled look.
“Work? You don’t have to go to work anymore now that we’re going to live together. You really don’t have to waitress anymore.”
“Yeah, Mom,” said Kelly, “stay with us.”
“Look,” I said, turning to face Steve. “I take pride in my work. I have to put in a shift.”
“If you want to do it, of course you’re welcome to. I’ll never tell you what to do or not to do. But don’t think that you have to. There’s really no need for you to be a waitress anymore,” he said. “I meant what I said about taking care of you and the baby and Kelly. In every way possible. Emotionally, and financially.”
I felt a smile creeping onto my face. I didn’t want to give up my job that easily, but I usually hated it, anyway. And now that I was with Steve, it was time to reconsider a lot of things about my life. It was comforting to know that he was always going to be there for me and Kelly, and the baby, too, of course.
“You deserve to be treated like a princess, now,” Steve said, “so whatever you need or want, just let me know, and I’ll take care of it.”
Kate was surprisingly quiet this entire time. She must have been taking in what she was seeing with a sense of pride and when she finally spoke up, she was offering just the kind of assistance I required.
“Why don’t I take Kelly with me for the rest of the day, even if you don’t go into work, Molly?” She asked. “It’ll give both of you more time to spend with each other. And I was going to stay with her today, anyway.”
“That’s a great idea,” I said, my eyes still on Steve.
He nodded.
“That would be fantastic. Thanks!”
“I’ll take Kelly for ice cream now,” Kate said, reaching for Kelly’s hand, which she graciously accepted.
“Can I have the strawberry shake, too?” Kelly asked.
Kate nodded.
“Of course.”
They held hands and started walking down the opposite side of the street.
“Bye, mom and dad,” said Kelly, turning around to wave at us.
“Oh, my God,” I whispered, but Steve took it in stride, smiling and waving proudly.
“Bye, Kelly! Bye, Kate! Have fun!”
They soon disappeared into the mix of pedestrians on the opposite street.
“Let’s go back to my place,” Steve said, “I want to give you a taste of your new life.”
I could only smile and nod in agreement. We got into his car and headed straight for his posh neighborhood. I was feeling so good that we had managed to reconcile, and I could only imagine the exciting future that was awaiting the both of us.
When we got to his place, we made straight for the bedroom, where he hastily took off his clothes and also undressed me, too. He told me that he was very hungry for me, and that the bump in my stomach was making him even more turned on.
We jumped into bed and he took his face in between my legs. I always loved when he did that and I soon felt his tongue working on my pussy. He was giving me pleasurable sensations that I was struggling to control, and I found myself moaning pleasurably.
He sucked on me for a couple of minutes before I felt myself cum and I was suddenly wet as a lake. His touch seemed to be magical and it inspired some of the nicest feelings running through my body. I think the pregnancy hormones helped, too.
The we hurried to put a condom on him and he got on top of me and I felt like I was going to run out of breath. I didn’t know that pleasure could get so intense that it nearly made me pass out. He put his cock inside me and it felt really amazing: long, hard and energetic.
He started thrusting slowly at first, then increased the pace. His hunger was obvious because he did not want to remove his eyes off me, nor stop squeezing my breasts. His grip was
surprisingly firm and within a short time, I felt his wetness filling me like an open tap.
He closed his eyes in pleasure, letting the sensations take over his body. He was completely into me. I could tell just by the difficulty he was having in controlling himself.
We lay there in bed and let the time pass by without a care in the world. I was really happy that we had managed to patch things up.
I was excited for our future together and knew we would always be happy because if we had gotten through this, we could get through anything.
Chapter 13
Molly
The wedding came a month later, and the time in between flew faster than I ever thought it would. Once Steve and I decided to go through with it, there didn’t seem to be any reason to wait. Plus, with all of Steve’s money, it was easy to get things to come together quickly.
We rented a ballroom in the fanciest hotel in town. Three florists worked on the flower arrangements, making sure that the whole room was covered in white roses and lillies. The smell was heavenly, like being out in a field on a spring day.
I took one final look around the room, making sure everything was perfect, before heading upstairs to get into my dress. Kelly and Kate met me in the hotel’s lobby.
Kelly’s eyes were wide when she looked up at my elaborate hairdo.
“Oh, Mommy,” she gushed, “You look like a princess.”
Kate was already in her maid of honor dress. It was light pink with a corset waist and a silky flowing skirt. She look beautiful and smiled at me.
“You do look lovely,” my best friend told me. “Are you excited?”
I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding and laughed.
“I am, but also more relieved, truly. Steve has really changed my life. You have no idea how great it is to not worry about Kelly’s and my lives. He will protect us. Plus, we don’t have to worry about money ever again.”
Kate smiled.
“No more waitressing for you, huh?”
I laughed again.
“God, no. I used to be so determined to keep that job, but I’ve barely thought about it since the day I quit.”
“Well, you have had other things to think about,” Kate laughed. “Like planning this wedding.”
She took my hands in hers.
“Thank you for all you did to put Steve and me together,” I told her, sincerely. “I really appreciate it.”
“It was my pleasure. Now let’s go get you ready, princess.”
“Yeah, mommy,” Kelly chimed in. “Can’t keep your prince waiting.”
She gave me a big grin. “Plus, I wanna wear my dress!”
I took Kelly’s small hand in my own, but a worry came to me.
“Oh no!” I looked at Kate. “I forgot…”
Kate pulled an ivory colored basket from behind her back and wiggled it a bit. I took a big sigh of relief. I had thought I had left the flower girl basket on the kitchen table. Good thing my maid of honor was on the ball.
We rushed towards the elevator and up to the suit that was rented out to act as my dressing room. My other bridesmaids were already up here and getting dressed. Mostly friends from high school, they were delighted to hear from me and get involved in the wedding.
First, I helped Kelly into her light pink flower girl dress. It almost mimicked Kate’s dress, but with a much higher neckline and a looser waist. The skirt fell in soft layers, making my precious little girl look like a fairy or a flower.
Kelly ran her hands over the soft, silky fabric. She smiled at me and giggled. Unable to control her excitement, she started twirling across the room like she was a ballerina.
“Not too much,” I warned. “I don’t want you to mess up your hairdo.”
I was next to get dressed. My handmade wedding dress was similar to the bridesmaid dresses, but it was light ivory in color, of course. Kate helped me pull it up over my bust and she hooked a few buttons before lacing up the corset back.
“Pull that tight,” I told her. “I want to look curvy for Steve.”
Kate gave me a look and then glanced down at my growing belly.
“I will not squish the baby. The back has to be a little lose.”
I ran a hand over the roundness of my stomach and I felt a little tingle from the baby boy that was growing inside. Steve’s and my baby was a boy - we had recently found that out. He was the little man that was going to connect us together forever.
I smiled to myself.
“Alright, keep it loose.”
When I was dressed and prepped, I stood in front of the full length mirror and took in my form. I was still curvy, but my belly was a bit rounder and my breasts were hiked up. They even looked bigger.
Steve was going to get an eyeful when we said our vows. I laughed lightly, grabbed my bouquet of roses and lilies and headed towards the door.
It was time. Time to marry the man of my dreams.
Downstairs, the wedding ceremony was starting. My bridesmaids lined up. Each took the arm of one of Steve’s groomsmen, who were looking dapper in their designer tuxedos. Kelly pushed by them all.
“Flower girl coming through,” she said excitedly, grabbing handfuls of the rose petals that filled her basket.
“No big handfuls,” I whispered loudly to her after putting my arm through my father’s. “Just little sprinkles here and there!”
Kelly nodded at me, but I wasn’t sure if she was going to follow my instructions or not. She took her job as flower girl very seriously, but she was also very excited to be getting a new father - Steve had decided to adopt her after we got married - and when Kelly got excited she tended to go big with her actions and movements.
“Pretend it’s fairy dust,” I whispered as Kate tapped Kelly on the shoulder to indicate that she should start her walk down the aisle.
I wasn’t sure if Kelly heard me or not.
However, my daughter did me proud. She stepped to the beat in the music with determination, held her head high, and dropped the rose petals in perfect little clusters. All of the audience watched her. They smiled and commented on how cute she was and what a proper little lady she was being.
Once Kelly was halfway down the aisle, the bridesmaids and groomsmen started their walks. At the appropriate time, my father started walking me down towards my soon-to-be husband. I wasn’t nervous. I was excited. But my heart beat wildly when I saw Steve.
He was grinning from ear to ear and his whole attention was on me. The look that was in his eyes was one of acceptance, love and desire, all mixed with a little bit of awe. I knew that he thought that I looked beautiful.
My father passed me off to my fiance and we smiled shyly at each other. All I wanted to do was kiss Steve and tell him how much he changed my life for the better, but there was the ceremony to get through first.
The priest started his speech, but his words were just buzzing in my ears. All I could think about was my soon-to-be husband and how the tailored tux pulled tight over his muscular arms and chest.
I looked up into Steve’s eyes. I tried to display to him in my face and expressions all that I felt for him. There was just so much.
The words went quickly. We said our vows. We said “I do”, and exchanged rings. In a flash, a blur, the priest was saying that Steve could kiss the bride and the moment I had been waiting for all day or maybe even my whole life was here.
Steve leaned down. His lips brushed mine and then pressed in for a deeper kiss. I felt desire rush through me. Suddenly the idea of a big, extravagant wedding seemed silly. What I wanted and needed to pass between me and my husband was more intimate and primal. But that urge would have to wait.
Steve’s lips pressed down on mine more. His hands slipped around my waist and he pulled me up against him. I felt him take my weight as he lifted me up and twirled me a bit in his arms.
Our friends and family in the audience cheered. Steve brought me down for one more quick kiss before he set me on my feet again. Then he held onto my hand and st
arted leading me down the aisle.
I grabbed Kelly’s hand along the way and the three of us left the ballroom officially a family. It was something I had wanted for a long time. I took a hand away from Steve for just a minute to run it over my belly and include the baby in our little happy family celebration.
I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding.
Chapter 14
Molly
After we took a few pictures, the reception started. I was starving by this time. Baby boy was ramping up my appetite and he was begging me to fill up.
Once Steve and I were announced and cheered by our guests, I hit the table holding fresh fruit. I wanted to get something healthy in my system before chowing down on the steak and cake that were coming next.
I had just popped a full strawberry into my mouth when Steve grabbed my shoulder and twirled me around to face the crowd.
“I just want to say thank you to this beautiful woman who changed my life around and made it complete,” he said. “She is my one and only.”
He leaned down to kiss me, but I was still chewing and had to pull back. Steve and the guests laughed.
“Plus, she has a great appetite,” he announced. “And that’s never a bad thing.”
I poked him in the side.
“Hey,” I giggled and put his hand over my growing stomach. “I’m eating for two. That’s your baby boy that has the healthy appetite.”
Steve leaned down to kiss me as the audience awed and cooed with pleasure at our love. Kate came rushing up to us.
“It’s time for the bride and groom’s first dance!”
She grabbed us on our shoulders and pushed us towards the dance floor.
Steve took me in his arms. He held me close as we swayed to the simple waltz that the band was playing. Even though I knew that there was a ballroom full of people watching us, with the spotlight on us and darkness all around, I felt like we were alone.
Steve leaned down and kissed me.
“You look so gorgeous,” he whispered and then kissed me again. “I love that dress on you. It shows your curves.”
