My Friend’s Sister Page 14

by Bishop, K. M.

“Well, he’s already felt me use it on him, so he should have an idea.”

We finished the workout and then had a solid late lunch of salad with eggs and tuna, plus a high quality protein shake. I was full of energy, ready to take on Billy and see what he had.

As I got ready for the fight, I realized that I should have been at least a little bit afraid, but I wasn’t. I knew what he was and what he was capable of. I’d already thrown hands with him twice and if his friends hadn’t been there and the coaches to break it up, I would have destroyed him. That’s what made me question exactly what sort of trick did Billy have up his sleeve. I had to proceed with extra caution.

I did just that as I arrived outside the field house. The street lamps were bright enough for us to see what we were doing, but no one else was there. I was surprised that Billy didn’t at least bring an audience, but then again if he was preparing to cheat he didn’t want witnesses to that, did he?

I told Bobby and the others to spread out and check the surrounding areas to make sure no one else was there and then to just hide there to see that nobody made an unannounced cameo. They spread out quickly and began searching the area. Billy was late. I checked my watch again. I was going to give him five minutes and then I was gone. If he didn’t show then I would go find him and beat the hell out of him there. He was not going to get away with this.

I looked around at the cool evening and stared up at the clear stars as I waited. I did some quick stretches and tried to stay loose and limber. Was Billy being late some sort of trick to lull me into a false sense of security? Or was the moron actually trying to get inside my head a little deeper.

I chilled out for a moment and looked around at my surroundings. It was important to stay grounded and to cement myself into the environment. That was one of the first lessons my sensei had taught me years ago when I first got into martial arts. It had been a wonderful way to channel my anger into something positive. At that time, I’d been a total mess and it had helped me get rid of some of those anxieties and problems that were plaguing me.

“Well, I didn’t think you would even show up,” an annoying voice said from the side.

There was Billy being as smug and arrogant as possible. I couldn’t believe I’d ever been friends with this guy. I was glad though, otherwise I never would have met Alexa. Billy stood there now staring at me, trying to intimidate me and make me feel like I was going to be hurt, like I shouldn’t have come there.

“I’m surprised you are alone,” I said.

Billy laughed. “I don’t need help to beat your ass, punk. It’s high time you learned respect for the real alpha around here.”

I laughed. “Man, you are the sorriest, most pathetic excuse I’ve ever met in my life.”

Billy’s eyes flashed rage as he danced in place and limbered himself up. “Oh, we will so whose sorry here in a minute.”

I stepped forward and eyed him closely. Suddenly, he lunged at me. My instincts were right on the money as Billy tried to hit me with a sucker punch. I stepped to the side and brought a jab into his face. He ran right into it connecting hard on his nose. Billy sneered with venom in his eyes. “Lucky shot!”

Then he lunged again. This time he threw two front kicks, and an overhand right. I blocked them both easily and then swept his legs out from under him. The moment he hit the ground I brought my axe kick arcing down towards his head. Billy twisted out of the way just in time and kicked my other leg out from under me.

Before I could hop back up, he was on top of me. He had guard position, which could have been dangerous for me. Billy threw two hard punches down on me. I blocked the first and grabbed the second to jerk his body towards me which enabled me to twist out from under him and get back to my feet.

Billy staggered to his feet and lunged at me again with a haymaker right hand. I ducked under it and threw a hard right punch to his mouth. He staggered backwards in obvious pain. Blood smeared his lips now. He wiped it with the back of his hand and looked down at it. He knew he was in trouble. I could see the gears in his mind working back and forth as he struggled to think of how to get back at me. The guy was hurting and it was going to get worse.

He kicked at my leg. I stepped over it and threw a kick to his side, which he blocked. Billy had some good fighting skills, but his emotion was the thing that really would be his undoing. Angry was the worst thing you could be in a fight, next to being scared that was.

Billy threw two jabs at me, and I dodged both of them. I was just getting ready to retaliate when he lunged towards my legs. I sidestepped the attack and brought my knee up to hit his guts. Billy went down hard. I could see now that he was struggling to breathe. It was time to wrap this thing up.

I was going to punch him in the face until it looked like hamburger. As I approached, Billy tried to get up. I pushed him, but as I did so I left myself vulnerable to attack and Billy capitalized on it with a really dirty move. As he fell backwards from the push he brought his foot up sharply to kick me right in the groin.

I saw stars for a moment which was followed by total darkness and then a sickness in my stomach that doubled me over to the ground. What in the hell…? I’d never felt such pain. I’d only been hit there once before on accident and never a direct hit with the intention to inflict harm like this one.

I had to recover and push through the pain. Billy was getting up. I was doubled over and trying to get to my feet as Billy chuckled and came slowly towards me. He had his hand behind his back. He was fishing something out of his pocket. What was he doing…?

I saw the gleam of the brass knuckles too late as Billy jabbed me hard to the face and then followed with an overhand right to my jaw with the brass knuckles. I dropped to the ground. The world around me was spinning around and I felt sick all over.

I knew this was bad. The tables had turned because Billy did something that dirty and underhanded. I should have known better than to think it was over when it wasn’t. Now I would have to pay the price for this. Dammit. What was going to happen now…?

Billy was on top of me now punching and pounding on my face. I was rocked. Each blow sent me farther towards unconsciousness. If that happened, I knew that I might be killed. I had to hold on and find a way out of this. The only hope I had was to get him into a submission hold so that I could recover a moment, or maybe choke Billy out. The fact that I was trained and he was not would be the determining factor here.

I leaned back against the pavement doing my best to roll away from the punches that were raining down on me. Billy was getting a bit winded. I could use this to my advantage by making him miss at least half of the punches. But I felt sick all over. I was dizzy. I was reeling from this.

Billy’s punches were losing strength and he had to pull up slightly to get more strength behind them. The moment he raised up higher to put more effort into that hard right hand, I raised my leg up over Billy’s shoulder and draped it across his chest all while trapping his arm between my legs and holding onto it. Then I wrapped my other leg behind him and formed a nice triangle choke around his neck. This was all possible because he did not have the training to know how to secure my legs properly.

And now he was in a choke position where he could not breathe. I saw the fear in his eyes as he struggled against the move which only made it tighter. He had no idea how to even approach getting out of such a hold and he was a victim now to it.

Within seconds he started to pass out. I waited until he was almost completely out before I let go. Then he slumped to the ground half asleep. I could have beaten him senseless at that point, but I would never hit a person who was almost unconscious. It could easily kill them.

I wasn’t about to do something that horrible or stupid. I rose to my feet and staggered around for a moment. I was still hurt pretty bad. I didn’t think I had a concussion or any head injuries, but you could never be too sure in in situations like this. That was crazy what I’d just gone through. The bastard used brass knuckles and a dirty sho
t to the groin. It had almost worked. What a despicable human being.

I gathered the other guys and showed them what happened. Bobby insisted on taking me to the ER, but I flat out refused. So, they took me home instead.

When I arrived, Alexa was there. She took one look at me and burst into tears. I assured her that it looked worse than it was, but I had no way of actually knowing that.

I told the other guys to take off and thanked them for being there. Alexa helped me to the bathroom where I saw fist hand what my injuries looked like. I was beaten up pretty badly. A big bruise encompassed my left eye, blood was spewing from my nose, I had swollen lips, and a few cuts on my cheeks.

After she cleaned up the wounds and put on a few bandages, I was fine. I’d be sore for a few days, but that was par for the course here.

“You need to go to the doctor. There might be some dangerous issues going on under the surface,” Alexa insisted.

“No. I appreciate the concern, but babe I’m just fine. Relax, will you?”

“Fine, but I know you are wrong about this. Why do you have to be so stubborn?”

“Practice. It took lots of practice,” I teased.

“I can’t believe you are making jokes. That bastard. I told you he would cheat.”

“I knew he would too, but I thought he’d have his cronies hanging around to jump in. He surprised me. The guy can be crafty.”

“Right? How badly did you murder him?”

“He’ll live, “I said. “I almost didn’t. I really don’t know if he ever would have stopped hitting me if I hadn’t put him in that choke. That’s scary. Your brother is going to go too far one day and end up dead, or a murderer himself. Mark my words.”

“I know. Is it wrong that I don’t care if he disappears off the face of the earth forever?”

“No, that isn’t wrong,” I said. “He’s made his bed. He will have to lie in it.”

“So, is this thing between the two of you over?”

  “Yes,” I said.

“And how do you know? My brother isn’t going to cop to losing. Judging by your face he can make the case that he actually won this thing.”

“Yeah, but I’ve got it all on video. I had Bobby rig up a video camera to catch all of it. If he doesn’t hold up his end of the bargain, that beatdown including how he cheated will be all over the internet. He isn’t ever going to risk that.”

Alexa smiled and kissed me softly on my tender lips. “I love you.”

“I love you, more,” I said.

We went downstairs and curled up on the couch together thankful that it was all over with and I knew our lives would start to get back to some kind of normalcy. That was all I wanted to ask for at the moment. I was with my girl, my angel, and the thing with Billy was finally over.

But why did I still feel uneasy about things? What was it that made me feel like I had nothing really under control lately? No matter what I did, I just saw myself spiraling and falling down under the weight of things.

I wanted to just survive and be happy. That was all I wanted in the world.

  Chapter Eighteen

  Alexa

  One Month Later…

I watched with joy as the final seconds of the game ticked down. And then it was over. Another game done, another win in the books for Indiana. Kip had a great game. He caught several passes, managed two interceptions, and even had a touchdown pass to his record. Indiana won by two touchdowns in the end. The team was really coming together.

I waited outside by Kip’s car for him to finish showering and to come out to pick me up for our date. We were going to dinner and a movie. I’d been looking forward to it all week. And today especially, I wanted to speak with Kip. I had some big news I wanted to share with him, but I didn’t know how he would react to it exactly. It wasn’t the sort of thing you heard every day and I doubted that it was something he had ever prepared himself to hear, at least not at this stage of his life.

I’d been feeling weird lately and I had a sneaking suspicion of what was wrong. So, being very discreet, I took a home pregnancy test a few days ago. I was blown away. I was going to have a baby? For real? No…I couldn’t… I was just eighteen. I wasn’t ready to be a mother.

But I was going to be one. My first instinct was to call Kip and talk to him, or at least go to him, but I wanted to be absolutely certain first. So, I made an appointment with my doctor. She confirmed what I already knew to be true. I was going to have a baby. I was almost seven weeks along. Wow… I couldn’t believe I’d had a baby growing inside of me for that long.

When Kip came out to the car I held him tightly and kissed him softly on the lips melting into his arms. I loved him so much. We were going to have a baby together and I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my life with this man. I just didn’t know how he was going to feel about the baby. Would he be angry? Would this change the way that he felt about me and us?

I was so scared, so I waited until we were seated at dinner before I said anything. Sitting there across from him at the table, I looked at Kip as if I was expecting him to notice my new condition, as if I was sure I had to be glowing or something. But he did not. He was too preoccupied by the menu.

“I hear a beer calling my name,” he said. “How about you?”

I took this as a great time to mention what I had to tell him. It was a nice little transition anyway.

“Um, actually I’m going to pass on the beer. In fact, I’m going to pass on beer and alcohol for a long time. Say, about nine months…”

He looked up at me confused for a moment. I could see he was registering in his brain what I’d just said and then trying to come to terms with it. Then it locked in and his eyes lit up. He stared into my eyes, held my gaze, and then I witnessed the sight of excitement and love rolled up in his face all at once.

“Wait… what are you saying? Are you…really?”

  I nodded. “Yes,” I said.” “I’m pregnant.”

“I… I… wow… I just can’t believe it. How long have you known?”

“I just found out yesterday,” I said. “I was waiting for the right moment to tell you. I wasn’t sure how you would feel.”

“I feel incredible,” he said. “I’m so happy. Baby… we are going to have a baby.”

He got out of his seat and came over to mine where he hugged me tightly and kissed me sweetly on the lips. “I love you, so much. I can’t believe we are going to have a child.”

“You aren’t mad, or upset?” I asked.

He looked at me shocked. “Why would I be upset?”

“Because, the timing of this is so bad. I never meant for this to happen. We should have been more careful, but I just couldn’t help myself.”

“Hey,this is fine,” he said. “It’s incredible, actually. Don’t worry about a thing. We will make this work. It’s ok.”

He sat back down across from me. I was amazed at his response to all of this. I knew that he would be a good dad, but I never thought he wanted to be one. Any time I ever mentioned kids in the future, he would always change the subject. But now knowing that he was about to have his own, he had taken over a new leaf and he seemed genuinely happy to be doing this. That was fantastic. I couldn’t believe it. I was over the moon with joy.

I had the man that I loved and we had a baby on the way. Knowing what a wonderful father he was going to be made me want him even more. I’d been so worried, scared even to tell him. I debated about waiting until the season was over, but no. That would have made it weird if I didn’t tell him. He needed to know now, and I was very glad he did. This was going to be the start of a whole new chapter in our lives. No matter what, our lives would be genuinely connected together forever. We were going to be parents to a wonderful child. I had only known about the baby for two days and already I was madly in love with the child. I wanted to be a good mother.

I hoped that Kip would be proud of the job I did as mother to his child.

  * * *

  We finish
ed dinner and headed back to Kip’s place. As soon as we entered the house, Kip started to remove his clothes and walk up the stairs. He looked back at me as I eyed him carefully. Yes, he looked so good. I wanted that sexy ass of his in my hands.

“You coming?” Kip asked with a smile.

“You do not have to tell me twice,” I said laughing. I ran up the stairs and smacked him on the ass when I passed him. “Gonna beat you!”

I hurried to the bedroom ahead of Kip as he came rolling up behind me. I started to remove my clothes hurriedly in the bedroom and dropped them to the floor. Kip was now also fully nude. His hard, erect member was standing up at full attention and waving at me in a sexy salute.

I couldn’t help myself. I instantly fell to my knees and placed my lips around it. Holding his precious manhood in my mouth, I swallowed over it and massaged it with my tongue and the roof of my mouth. Yeah, he was enjoying that alright… I could hear him moaning softly as he balanced himself with his hand on my shoulder.

He tasted so good. The flesh was smooth and hard in my mouth, wiggling slightly under the vibrations of my tongue movement. I was swirling up and down over and over his hard, thickness and feeling it get even more pressing in my mouth. I was so wet. The taste of him always did that to me.

“Yeah, suck it harder, deeper for me baby,” Kip moaned loudly as he squatted slightly to avoid falling down all together. I kept my lips pursed tightly around his erection and continued to suckle at the sweetness of its flavor. It was a head rush for me. Something about this made my head feel like I was going to pass out any second, but I knew that if I did then it would be a pretty perfect experience.

He bucked his hips slightly against me and pushed himself deeper into my mouth, almost feeding me, guiding the length of his appendage into the back of my mouth. I placed my teeth lightly against the edge and let them slide along. Oh, that felt good in my mouth. That control was the tops. It was fun, amazing actually. I could not get enough of him. This had become an expression of love for us.
