  Chapter 1

The ominous tones of Darth Vader’s March blurted out from my cell phone. My girlfriend was calling, or my ex-girlfriend. We’d drifted apart and she was becoming down right mean. I had been avoiding her for the last couple days and she seemed happy giving me my space, until now. Why did it have to be just before I started work?

“Hey, Jen,” I said into my phone.

“Hey, Terry, I mean, Fuckstick, how goes it? You know what, don’t answer. I don’t give two shits.”

“So this is the call where you officially break up with me then?”I asked. Part of me was relieved to be having this conversation while a bigger part of me dreaded being alone.

“What? No, dumbass. I thought you got the memo when I wasn’t calling you. God, catch a clue. Anywho, I am calling to tell you not to come back tonight, or ever really.”

“What? What about my stuff?” I was starting to get really pissed. The last couple nights I spent at a friend's house, but I wore out my welcome. The plan was to sleep in my own bed tonight.

“You don’t have much accept a few pieces of clothes, not worth worrying about, besides, I threw those out already.”

  “What? You cra…”

“You better not finish that statement. You know how much I hate that word and I know where you’re working tonight.” She left the threat unfinished but I pictured her showing up to this multimillion dollar mansion and making a scene resulting in me being kicked out on my ass and losing my job with the temp agency.

  “Sorry,” I snarled.

  “That’s better, bitch-boy.”

“What about my car?” I asked.

“You mean my car? Tell you what. Since you were kind enough to cosign for me I will keep the car and let you keep the payments.”

“I’m not paying for your damn car!” I hadn’t meant to raise my voice so I looked around to make sure no one heard me. The back door where I was instructed to enter the house from and no one else was around, but I lowered my voice to be safe. “You want the damn car you better take over the payments.”

“Nope. I’ll just let them lapse and let your precious credit take a hit.” She chuckled.

Jen knew how hard I was working to maintain my outstanding credit rating. It was all I had going for me and if I let it slide then I had nothing worthwhile in my life. “You are an evil person,” I said.

“Yeah, whatev. Just don’t come back and keep my car note up to date. Thanks, bye now.” she said in a sweet tone that made me want to retch.

I stood there with the phone to my ear even though she had hung up. A thousand thoughts swirled through my brain as I tried to figure a way out of another fine mess.

“You going to stand there all night or open the door so we can go in?”

I spun and almost dropped my phone. A tall guy wearing the same black slacks, white long sleeve button up, and black vest as me stood a few feet away. I hadn’t heard him drive into the parking area or the gravel crunch under his feet as he walked up.

“Sorry, man,” I said. I turned back around and opened the door for us both.

The kitchen this rich asshat owned was more opulent than anything I’d seen. Every surface was either gleaming stainless steel or brown and grey stone. The cabinets were a rich dark color and the walls were covered in a light blue tile that made everything else pop. I wanted to get a bed roll, lay in a corner and live there.

“Damn,” The guy that came in with me whistled. “This is a hellofa nice joint.”

  “I know, right?” I said.

“You two done?” A rail thin woman with raven hair and thick black framed glasses glared at us.

My skin felt like it was starting to burn under her scrutiny.

  “Um, yeah?”

“You’re done gawking or you aren’t sure?” She snapped.

“Done,” The guy next to me said. “Wake up, bro.” He said to me.

“Good. You two are on the second floor. You’re the last ones here and the party started a little early. You’d think rich people would be all about being fashionably late, but NOOOO. These rich snobs are all about punctuality and even showing up early. Go grab some trays and get up stairs. You,” she pointed at me, “Get horderves. And you get the champagne. Wait, you are over twenty one right?”

  “Oh yeah,” He replied.

“Good. Last thing I need is to get my business shut down for letting a minor handle liquor. What are you standing around for? Get to it!” She started to turn her back to us but stopped. “Use those stairs over there. Don’t use the front stairs unless there is a fire or something. And your ass better be on fire if that’s the case. Now go.”

I scooped up my tray and walked up the steps to the second floor. There was a door at the top as well as steps leading farther up. The room I entered was a huge loft with more floor space then the entire apartment I lived in up until a few minutes ago. It was all wood paneling and crown molding with furniture that had to be worth more than me and the last three generations of my ancestors. Where the kitchen was silver, blue, tan and grey this room was all medium brown wood and tan with maroon accents. Before that moment I would have never thought to put those colors together.

“Keep it moving, bro.” My new friend and coworker said.

I stepped aside. “What’s your name, anyway?” I asked.

“My name is stay the fuck out of my way,” He said. I’m here for money and money only. Make friends on your own time.” He walked away and threaded himself through the crowd.

“Nice to meet you too,” I mumbled.

He did have a point though, so I turned right and made my way through the crowd as well.

No one paid me any mind other than to grab a snack from my tray. I carried colorful finger sandwiches made with who knew what? I certainly didn’t, but they were popular enough to disappear quickly. Which meant I had a lot of trips up and down the stairs. I was on my way back up for what had to be the twelfth time when everything went black.

“Hello?” I whispered. I felt like something was watching me and that something was hungry. “Is anyone there?” My voice came out as a whispered squeak.

“This is unexpected,” A smooth woman’s voice filled the darkness. When next she spoke it focused down to come right from behind me. “I’d heard your kind was a thing, but never believed it. I was told you were just a legend, or a myth.”

I turned around slowly. The feeling of being stalked only grew stronger as I established the direction from which she spoke. Then I saw her and my breath hitched in my throat. The woman standing in front of me wore a blue cut off t-shirt that just barely ended under her full breasts and shorts too short to be called shorts in civilized society. Her skin had a slight tan color too it like she spent some time in the sun. When I was able to pull my eyes up from her chest and the hard niples pointing at me I saw large rings of golden blond hair cascading around her shoulders and falling behind her back. Not only did she have a body that could stop everything as all existence took her in, she was beautiful. Large brown eyes looked at me as her perfect pink lips turned up into a smile.

“Do you like what you see?” She slowly turned around giving me a view of her toned back, shapely ass, and sculpted legs. Even her bare feet were pretty.

“Um, yeah,” I managed to say.

“You’re not so bad yourself.” She stepped closer and placed a hand on my chest. “What do they call you?”

“Um…” You ever have one of those moments when something you see or hear turns off your brain as you try to comprehend what is going on? Well that was happening to me as this amazing woman had her hand on me. “Um…”

She threw her head back and laughed. The darkness became full of her wonderous mirth. A stupid little grin spread on my lips. I could just imagine how it must have looked. Me standing there looking like I was happy to figure out I hadn’t peed myself, or some other equally brainless shit.

After a few moments she stopped laughing and returned her gaze to me. Then her head slowly tilted sideways and her expression went from amused to curious. “Do you know what you are?” She asked me.

That is when it hit me. “Terry,” I blurted out. “I’m a Terry.” And my shit eating grin grew wider.

She chuckled. “No, Terry. Not your name, though I’m glad you managed to remember, but WHAT you are. No? No clue. Okay, I can work with that.”

“What am I supposed to be?” I asked. My brain was starting to catch up.

  “Something we call a Tuatha.”

  “Huh?”

“You really are a maestro with words. It doesn’t matter right now. I want to try something.” She pressed her body against mine and wrapped her arms around my neck. with her lips centimeters from mine she spoke. “You don’t mind if I test out a theory, do you?”

“Um…” My brain was shorting out again.

Her eyes sparked as her smile grew wider.“ Tell you what. You just stand here and we'll see how it goes.”

  “Huh?”

Instead of answering my oh so eloquent question she slid down to her knees. My breathing stopped as her hands Went to my belt and undid it, then she opened my pants and pulled them down. Part of me was horrified that this woman would see me bared and start laughing. Another part, the part doing the lionshare of the thinking right then, stood erect and ready.

I wanted to tell her that I had to get back to work and that she didn’t have too, but then she took me in her mouth and all thoughts of work were gone.

I settled into the bliss that followed with my head thrown back and my eyes closed. Every bit of my focus was on the sensation of her saliva filled mouth moving back and forth. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better she did something no one had done to me before. She wrapped her hand around the base of my shaft and stroked as she kept moving her head back and forth. A gasp burst out of my mouth followed by several moans of pleasure.

Her amazing little trick quickly sent me over the edge. I didn’t want to be one of those guys that just let go so I tapped her on the head and tried to say, ‘I’m going to cum,’ but all that came out was a grunt and a couple moans. Instead of letting me fall out of her mouth like the few other girls that had given me head, she slammed her head down until her lips pressed against my abdomen. It was too much.

An orgasm exploded out of me. so intense was the sensation it shook my whole body and my knees almost gave out three times. A few seconds latter the convulsions stopped and my member released the last bit of seaman.

She pulled back and gave my head a little suck and a lick before moving away. She licked her fingers as she stood and meet my gaze. “You gave me more than a mouthful there.”

“I’m sorry,” I stammered out. “I tried to warn you but…”

She pressed her lips against mine stopping me from talking. Her tongue forced my lips apart and we fell into each other. She pulled back and smiled at me. “It was exactly what I wanted, hun. I can’t wait till we can play in the real world.”

Had she just said real world? “I don’t understand. What do you mean?”

She stepped back and a curiosity expression came back along with the head tilt. “You really don’t know? Huh. Look, I don’t have time to explain it now, but I will. Are you on the first floor or the second?”

  “I’m working the second floor.”

“I’ll find you soon. For now I have to go. My attentions are being pulled elsewhere.” She stood on her toes and planted a peck on my lips.

  Then she was gone.

The darkness vanished and I had to blink to clear my vision. I was on the steps between the kitchen and the second floor loft still holding the tray.

“You’re standing in the way again? Really dude?” An all to familiar voice said from behind me.

  “Sorry, man,” I replied.

  Chapter 2

The door swung open and all heads turned to stare right at me. I froze mid step taking in all the attention. At that moment I came to understand the saying about silence being deafening. Well it probably would have been if not for the guy yelling on the first floor.

He pulled everyone's attention back to the railing and downward. I stepped up and took a look to see what the hubaloo was about.

A tall man so thick I was sure he had an emblem on his chest that read, ‘Peterbuilt,’ was waving his arms around and screaming. His deep voice reverberated in my chest as his words filled every crevice of the massive house.

“where is it? Where is this thing that dares steal from me?” He raised his arms and pounded massive fists against the lapels of his expensive looking dark gray suit coat. “I will not suffer a thief in my own home.”

“would you calm down?” The melodic voice from the woman in the dark space said. She stepped between two other men almost as larger as the screamer. “No one stole anything from you,” she said.

Her arrival threw me out of their conversation. I thought she was some weird hallucination brought on by stress and a lack of sleep. But there she was as real as I was. Unlike when I saw her in the darkness she wore a long black gown with a spit up to her left hip, a plunging neckline, and no back. Her hair was up so that a pile of curls rested on her head and seemed to be falling off one side. She turned and pointed right up at me bringing me back to what they were saying.

“He didn’t steal me from you, Arnold. I submitted myself to him.”

The huge man looked up at me. His face was beat read and his dark eyes flashed gold. I stepped back because of the murder I clearly saw written on his face. I didn’t move back far enough to block my view though.
<
br />   Arnold looked back at the blonde haired beauty. “You would leave me for that puny thing? He is hardly big enough to be considered a man!”

Something in me snapped and the blonde haired beauty’s words didn’t temper my rising anger.

  “you would be surprised, Arnold.”

A lot had been happening in my life before I found myself standing by that railing and being insulted by The Mountain wannabe. I graduated from college with a degree in applied sciences, emphasis on renewable energy, and now have a huge student loan hovering over me. My girlfriend, who was probably the worst girlfriend ever, broke up with me and left me more debt in the form of her car payments. And I spend all of my awake time working my ass off at any gig I can get so I can afford a bowl of ramen noodles and crackers once a day. So when the supersized douche insulted me I lost it.

“Hey, Arnold,” I said as I moved right up against the railing. “why don't you shut the hell up and get back on the douche-train you rolled in on?”

I flashed a smug smile at him as I let the tray of finger foods fall to the floor. That outburst would be more than enough to have me sent packing. There was a good chance the temp agency would lose my number too, but I didn't care. It felt so good to stand up for myself. So I flashed Arnold a smug smile and a double dose of middle finger action.

The beauty next to him shook her head vigorously and mouth the words, ‘no don’t,’ but the damage was already done. She face palmed and continued to shake her pretty little head.

Arnold let out wordless yell that sounded a lot like a roar. Then he pulled his jacket off and tore his shirt away. Hair grew like wildfire on his torso and face. He reared his head back and roared like a beast. I saw his upper and lower teeth elongate and get sharper as they did.

“Dude is a fuckin werewolf,” I said.

“Run!” The beautiful blonde shouted at me. If I managed to survive I was going to have to ask her name. Spoiler, I lived long enough to tell this tale.

Until she shouted at me I’d fallen into that age old trap of standing there slack jawed while the monster revealed itself. It was a classic monster movie mistake and despite all the times I swore I would beat feet if that were me, I didn’t.
