My mouth fell open. “What? Seriously? You want them to come here?”
“I hoped the Inquisitor and his ilk would stay away, but it seems they have other ideas.” Her expression was pure steel. “But I will not let them recruit any of my witches. If they threaten anyone here in Fairy Falls, then we will be ready for them.”
Resolve strengthened me. We’d face the hunters, head-on, no matter what happened. I’d find a way to contact my dad, and if the hunters came here again?
Fairy Falls would be ready.
