“I don’t know if things will be okay between us, but I’m willing to talk and see where things go.”
My father walked over to me and embraced me, for the first time my dad gave me an actual hug.
“That sounds great to me.” I smiled at my father.
“I forgive you for everything, because that’s what mom would have wanted me to do.”
I started introducing everyone that was backstage to my father. The guy said five minutes is up. My father told me he’ll go and talk to me later. He wanted me to enjoy my moment with the people who have been here for me the entire time. I told him I would call him when I got home. My father left. A sweet smile formed on my face. I looked around at my family, all of us different in looks, not blood-related, but we’re much alike in heart. Trinity and mom came up to me.
“You ready to go out there?” My mom asked.
I smiled and nodded my head, and into the crowd I went.
