“No, it is in Anachronia. This land you are on…it is all in the Kingdom of Anachronia. The citizens here are called Anachronians.”

“So they are not fae?” Scarlet asked.

“They can be. We accept all kinds,” Gem said as they began walking faster. “Come. Wordwick Castle isn’t too far away.”

They immediately walked out of the woods and found themselves in a clearing with green rolling hills, lush trees, and a castle she immediately recognized. “Warwick Castle?”

“Henry Word loved the way Warwick Castle looked, he designed Wordwick Castle to be just like it,” Gem said. “But this is the Wordwick Castle in Anachronia, not the one in England where Henry Word lives.”

“In the year 2020,” Kat said.

“I’m glad to see that Warwick Castle would still be standing in the year 2020,” Scarlet said.

“Yes,” Gem said, “Amazing how it survived everything that happens in the 20th century.”

Scarlet wanted to ask what would happen in the 20th century but she wonder what she could do about it. How could one action affect another in the space of time?

“So, here we are,” Gem said, walking regally through the gates and into the castle. “And…this handsome blonde man is Goolrick, my Adviser and the Castle’s wizard.”

The tall blonde wizard in an expensive royal robe turned to Scarlet and said, “Another player? Hopefully she is here to help us with the war between the noble Perfidious Tribe that gave us King Larsson, and the vile Spurious Tribe, who even now threaten to overthrow all order in the kingdom. Thanks to their actions, the dragon roams free, while the land is beset with strife. Also Ogres, Trolls, evil-Wizards and Minotaurs. But mostly strife.”

“No, Goolrick,” Gem said moving close to him. He was watching her with such desire in his eyes, he seemed to have forgotten Kat and Scarlet was there in the room with them. Clearly the young handsome wizard was in love with Gem. “She is here to see Gordon.”

Goolrick turned to Scarlet and said, “You know Gordon?”

“Yes,” Scarlet said, careful how much information she was going to let this wizard know about her and Gordon. Was Gordon their prisoner in this castle?

Gem and Kat seemed friendly and trustworthy enough, but the wizard before her was too slick, too calculating for her to completely trust. Her instincts told her to be on her guard.

“He went out earlier,” Goolrick said.

Gem pouted prettily. “What bad timing.” She turned to Scarlet. “Could you stay until he comes back?”

  Scarlet nodded, “Of course.”

“I’ll show you to one of our guest rooms so you can refresh yourself. I bet you feel like you could use a hot bath,” Kat said. “I’m taking one myself. Not that the plumbing here is any good. They don’t have plumbing. It’s literally like living back in the medieval times here so someone will have to draw you a bath. Luckily there are many servants here at the castle who can.”

Kat led Scarlet down the hallway to a large bedroom with rows of tapestries covering the walls. There was a bookshelf with a few volumes, set above a small desk that stood next to a chest of drawers, and a large curtained four-poster bed. “It’s lovely,” Scarlet exclaimed to Kat. “I’ve always wanted to stay overnight at Warwick Castle. I mean Wordwick Castle.”

“You know they have glamping now for that,” Kat said, “Yeah, but this is pretty cool.” She winked at Scarlet. “So you and Gordon…what’s your relationship with him?”

  “He’s been a good childhood friend, and…”

“So you’re the one…the woman he said he had left behind whom he was in love with since childhood,” Kat exclaimed.

Scarlet’s mouth dropped. “In love with me? No, I couldn’t be the one. He never said anything to me about it.”

“Looks like you fit the description, Scarlet,” Kat said. “He’s quite popular here in Anachronia, especially amongst the ladies. Not that he seemed interested in any one of them, but he is quite the eligible bachelor.”

  “He is?”

Scarlet pictured Gordon, who was always dressed impeccably…the perfect gentleman and companion for her when in town. Gordon Harris was one of the things she had missed about London. Nominally her fencing tutor, he in fact assisted Scarlet in most of her more physical studies when she was in the city, and had been a good friend for years.

But now that she knew how he felt about her, she did admit to finding him attractive throughout the years, and how occasionally, she did wanted him to kiss her. There were moments, but he had never moved forward so she thought he only wanted to be just a friend.

Kat said, “Oh, the bath is being prepared,” she moved over to allow two strong young men carry a wooden tub into her room. Ladies dressed in flowing colorful gowns proceeded to bring hot water, flowers, oils, and all sort of beauty bath necessities. “Do you want them to wash you for you?” Kat asked.

“No,” Scarlet said, “I could manage that myself.”

“They do wonders with their massages,” Kat said.

“I’m rather modest when I’m taking a bath,” Scarlet said, not letting Kat know she was the opposite when making love with her lovers.

Kat watched the ladies finish preparing the bath and said, “Alright, girls, this girl wants her privacy.”

They smiled as they quickly took their leave.

  Kat said, “Enjoy!”

Scarlet went to the bathtub and smelled the steaming scent of roses and jasmine in the air. It smelled wonderful, and she was ready for a bath. She had mud and dirt on her face from falling from the sky to Anachronia and then from Kat dropping her onto the leaves in the woods. She must look an awful mess. She quickly stripped every garment off and sank down into the tub.

It was heavenly, warm, and incredibly relaxing. Her muscles ached, and she was exhausted. Soon her eyes were closed as she fell asleep with her head rolled back out of the tub.

She dreamed she was getting a massage on her breasts from Cruces. His hands were rubbing her breasts bringing her nipples to its peak before his tongue circled around them, licking them, before he bit them.

Tavian was massaging her folds, his strong fingers plunging deep into her. She moaned out loud as he thrusted into her again and again. “I want more,” she whispered. “So much more.”

The water splashed, and she felt her mouth being devoured by a hot delicious mouth. “I love you so much, Scarlet,” a familiar male voice said. “I missed you and thought I’d never see you again.”

She opened her eyes to see Gordon’s face in front of her. He kissed her, his mouth moving against hers hungrily. “I’ve dreamed of kissing you like this. Of making love to you. For years, but was too afraid of losing you as a friend. I couldn’t bear not having you in my life,” he said between kisses.

Scarlet almost couldn’t believe it was Gordon who was plunging his fingers into her and not Tavian. He was an amazing lover. She still couldn’t believe it was the same Gordon she grew up with.

“Gordon?” she finally looked at him as he shifted away from her in the tub, which thankfully was large enough for the both of him. He was fully naked as he stood up, the water glistening on his muscular body, toned to perfection. “I never knew you were so…” she gulped. He was beautiful.

  And large. Hard.

“I want you so badly, Scarlet,” Gordon said. “I waited too long. Lost my chance years ago, but when I saw you with that vampire dandy and the gypsy, I knew I couldn’t hold back.” He looked into Scarlet’s eyes. “I know this isn’t how you pictured our reunion…how we would be when we see each other again, but I’ve learned from being in Anachronia to take the chance when you can…you never know how long you would live. I promised myself I would make love to you when I see you again. Do you want me, Scarlet?”

He lifted her legs out of the tub to position them around his waist while his fingers rubbed her swollen clit.

She was consumed with intense pleasure as his fingers played her.

  She needed him
.

“Please, Gordon,” she moaned. “Enter me now!”

He smiled as his tip moved up against her, rubbing her, making her moan for him.

“Don’t make me beg you again,” she moaned.

“I won’t, my love,” he plunged into her then rock her with all he had until they were lost in their love, climaxing together with an intensity that left them breathless.

He finished washing her and kissed her. “You must love me to go through so much trouble to find me.”

“I cared about you, Gordon,” Scarlet said. “I kept thinking it was because we’ve been friends for so long, but when you went missing…I finally realized I did love you.”

“I’ve always loved you,” Gordon said, drying her with a towel. “I just couldn’t tell you earlier.”

“Why couldn’t you come back to me? To London? Why did you remain here?” Scarlet asked. “Could you or were you held back?”

Gordon looked down and away. “I’ve always wanted to tell you this, but thought you would feel differently about me if you knew…”

  “What?” Scarlet asked.

“I’m not lost, Scarlet. I’m from Anachronia, and I am the son of the General here. They have an ongoing war, which was why I couldn’t return. I’m second-in-command but in charge of protecting the Castle and the surrounding areas from the attacks.”

“You were the one in silver leading the hunting party earlier,” Scarlet said.

“Yes,” Gordon said. “I called out to you. I saw you. I knew you came through into Anachronia. I had a vision of it.”

  “You did?” Scarlet asked.

Again Gordon seemed embarrassed. “I thought you of all people would be able to figure me out. I’m a supernatural, too. Goolrick is my cousin, and I am also a wizard.”

  Chapter 8

  Cruces

“We are almost there, Fae,” Cruces said. “I could feel my mark on her since we are so close.”

The sight of a castle resembling the medieval castle, Warwick Castle came into view, which brought back memories of when it was first built. Cruces had been there. He had been there centuries before the land was cleared and was even a part of England.

There had been many deaths there, people imprisoned in the dungeons, and now he could see the ghosts walking about as though they were still going about their daily lives.

Tavian spoke. “This castle looks like the one in England, but it is different.”

Cruces blinked his eyes and saw that Tavian was correct. He had let his memory cloud his eyes for a minute. “You are right.”

Thoughts of his bloody past kept flashing into his mind ever since the gypsy boy told him of his village’s slaughter in Romania. It was where Cruces, Rothschild, and Lydia were turned. Romania. Where their Vampire Maker lived and ruled with fierce brutality after a wizard turned his mind black and full of hate for humanity. His father the Vampire King became a monster with an unquenchable thirst for human blood and cruelty.

He remembered leading the charge, the raids upon the villages. He was the heir to the Vampire Kingdom after all, wasn’t he?

Flashes of brutal and bloody scenes filled his mind. The screams, the destruction. The senselessness of it all. He remembered Tavian’s village. It was just one of many the vampires had plundered and destroyed. Filled with blood-thirsty lust and the monster within, he didn’t care what he destroyed and the lives of the many he took. He was a vampire after all, wasn’t he?

Those were his most horrific days, which he had tried to forget after centuries.

It was until he saw the face of Scarlet from afar, from a vision, that he knew he could change. She looked like a goddess, one who he would have married in the immortal realm. But she was one of them…a human. No matter how much he hated humans, because he was turned while being a weak sniffling do-nothing human, he loved her.

Then when she appeared before him in London, he knew he couldn’t go back to being a vampire. He knew he had to help the humans.

Tavian was walking through the gates of the castle while Cruces followed slightly behind. The memories of being at this castle was confusing him. Being in Anachronia was confusing his body and his mind.

Then he saw Scarlet standing in a golden-haired man’s arms. Gordon. She had found him at last.

“Cruces! Tavian! Thank God you found us. Gordon…he’s not lost at all. He’s an Anachronian. He’s from here. He’s safe and well. I don’t have to worry any longer.”

Cruces looked Gordon over and noticed for the first time since seeing him that something was amiss about the handsome human.

  He wasn’t human.

He was a wizard. An all-powerful wizard.

Who had been molding and manipulating Scarlet since childhood.

Who had planted into the minds of her human parents that she had special gifts which would help them locate supernatural devices.

No wonder why his mind was acting strange once he stepped into Anachronia.

The wizard’s powers were more powerful than all the supernaturals in this world. It had the power to confuse the mind, the power to let them see visions that cause them to go insane.

Gordon smiled at Cruces and Tavian, his arm holding Scarlet tight against him. “Thank you for bringing Scarlet to me. I missed her so much. But I think she likes it here, too.”

Scarlet beamed, “I’m very proud of everything Gordon has accomplished in Anachronia. I didn’t even know he was a supernatural. A wizard of all things. I had no idea.”

That’s because he had glamour her into not being able to see him as a supernatural.

“And…Gordon had figured it out! He is brilliant as well as beautiful,” Scarlet continued. “He used the gaming pods the gamers from the future came through to Anachronia with, to get Cecilia into their time period…our future. The year 2020.”

Tavian smiled and clapped his hands, not knowing what this smiling conniving wizard was planning.

“I’ll be going with Gordon to New York to the year 2020 to find Cecilia. Tavian, too. And you, Cruces.”

“It’s ready to go…the pods,” Gordon said.

“I am ready to retrieve my sister,” Tavian said. “Let’s go.”

Cruces followed them to the pods and watched them get into them.

Scarlet was so delighted, and Tavian was shaking Gordon’s hand.

He didn’t want to break Scarlet’s heart now that she had found her long lost best childhood friend.

  But was he sure?

Was his mind playing tricks with his memories like before?

He hope to dear God it was just tricks because if he remembered correctly, the man called Gordon standing next to his beloved Scarlet was none other than the Wizard of ancient times who turned all the vampires into mad blood-thirsty killing machines…turned their minds around…turned them mindless. He was the one who put a spell on his father the Vampire King and turned him into the crazed brutal vampire who terrorized and murdered countless humans.

“Come on, Cruces,” Scarlet said. “We’re heading to the future, and we will make big changes in this new world.”

“With your help,” Gordan said, “I’m sure you can bring your gifts as a vampire to affect all humankind.” He grinned. “We can begin the world all over again.”

  Cruel Princes of Wyvern

  All-Boys Academy

When I received a royal decree from Queen Jade of the Emerald Realms to attend school at Wyvern School for Boys, I thought it was a prank pulled by my friend William who apprentices with me at the Blacksmith. There was no way I could attend such an elite school just for kings-to-be.

But it was a Royal Decree, and if I don't obey the Decree, there was a threat of death to me and to all I hold dear, which probably means William and his parents, Bilbo and Kate, the blacksmith and his wife, the alchemist, whom had let me stayed with them since I became an orphan.
