“Yes,” she hissed, throwing an arm over her eyes.
I stopped again. “Nuh uh. Eyes on me. If I don’t get you coming on my cock, I at least get to see your face when I get you off.”
Everly pulled my hair, tugging my head up. “Get up here and fuck me then.” She grinned.
“So bossy and got a filthy mouth on you.” I loved everything about her.
I snaked up the bed, claiming her mouth and body. Soon I’d have her heart too. She was so damn wet for me, I slid right into paradise. Her body melted into mine like a perfect fit. Fingers laced together over her head, I thrust in and out, building the pace and finding our natural rhythm easily. Nothing or no one could compare to what we had found. What I always knew was meant to be. We were never meant to be one night. In Everly, I knew I’d found my forever. I only needed to convince her of the fact.
“Let me on top.”
I rolled to my back and stroked my shaft, ready for her to sink down on me. Everly didn’t disappoint. Impaling herself on my erection, her heat wrapped around me, muscles clenching me tight. Up and down, circling her hips, she bounced on my thighs. Her breasts jiggled as she rode me hard. And fuck me if I didn’t love every second of watching her give as good as she got. Her blonde hair tumbled down her back, dusting the tops of my thighs. I thrust upward and hit her in the right spot, loving the soft moans leaving her lips. Wrapping a fist around her hair, I gave her a pull and timed the action with the roll of her hips. Our bodies rocked together in perfect harmony. Every stroke going deeper and harder. I knew it wouldn’t be long till we both got off, and I wasn’t ready. I wanted to prolong every second I got to caress her soft curves and make love to her. This wasn’t fucking. It was more than that. A deeper connection than I’d ever felt for any woman in my life.
We rolled in the sheets trying out several positions, side by side, missionary, but my favorite had to be the view from behind. Our reflection stared back at me in the large mirror hanging on the back of her closet door. I trailed her spine with my tongue, watching a visible shiver work through her body.
Fuck, she was so damn beautiful. Seeing Everly’s response to my touch … my girl moved like poetry in motion. Lining up, I slid home, and her eager pussy clenched around m. I knew it wouldn’t be long before I was coming in her greedy hole. Knuckles gripping the sheets, she rocked her body back. I gripped her hips and hammered in and out like a well-oiled piston made for pleasing my woman.
“Come for your man, Ev.” I slapped her ass and pulled her hair. A guttural moan ripped from her throat, and her body shuddered and shook. Sweat dripped down her back, rolling down the crack of her perfect ass. “That’s it,” I coaxed, slowing my motion and letting her ride out her orgasm before I chased after mine hard and fast.
I should have been wearing a condom, but part of me wanted to get Everly pregnant. I didn’t want to waste any time going after what I wanted—a future with her as my wife and the mother of my child.
Everly represented everything I wanted.
Everything I craved.
Only with her.
No one could ever compare to how good she felt.
How right. My balls tightened, and I couldn’t hold back any longer; my release claimed me. I held Everly close, as I collapsed next to her. Her breath fanned over my lips before she kissed me. I had fallen harder than I ever expected.
“You sure you want to come with me?” Everly placed her phone on the nightstand letting out a yawn.
“You aren’t getting rid of me that easily. What time is this dinner anyway?”
“Around five or six, somewhere in there.”
“What time is it now?”
“Too damn early for my mother to be texting me on a Sunday morning, but I need to let Mooch out and feed him. You want breakfast?”
“Breakfast sounds good.” I kissed her shoulder, not wanting to release her from my hold so she could get out of bed. However, the yapping and grunting coming from down the hall told me Mooch was growing impatient, and I couldn’t blame him. Everly’s attention was the best gift ever.
A gurgling noise erupted from my stomach, and Everly laughed. “I guess that’s my cue that I need to feed both my guys.”
I pulled her in tight to my body one last time. “I like the sound of being one of your guys. What’s that entail exactly?”
“If I told you, I’d have to kill you.”
“Just don’t poison my breakfast.”
“Ha. Ha.” She rolled off the bed wearing absolutely nothing. I was one lucky man. As I watched her strut to the other side of the room to grab a robe off the back of a chair, it hit me straight in the chest like an arrow to the heart from Cupid himself. This right here was what I wanted every morning—waking up to Everly. I’d do anything to make it my reality.
Her voice drifted down the hall as she cooed and awed at her dog. One day she’d make a great mother. I couldn’t believe the thoughts of forever that were dominating my brain, but there they were, flashing like neon signs and shouting I needed to lock her down because she was wifey material. The idea didn’t scare me at all. The more I thought about sliding a ring on her finger, the wider my smile grew. Rolling out of bed, I tagged my boxer briefs from the floor and made use of the bathroom.
Whistling my way to the kitchen and following the scent of coffee, I found Everly at the sink refilling the dog’s water bowl. “Bacon and eggs okay?”
“Sounds good unless you aren’t up to cooking and want me to take you out somewhere for brunch.”
“No way. I enjoy spending as much time in on Sunday as I can, relaxing before I have to deal with the family.” She put the water bowl down, and I moved in to hug her from behind, placing a kiss behind her ear and peppering down her neck, loving the feel of having her in my arms. “Keep that up, and you’ll never get your eggs.”
“I can wait to eat.” I grinned, giving the shell of her ear a tug with my teeth. Another growl erupted from my stomach said otherwise.
“Right.” She laughed, strutting to the back door to let Mooch inside as he pressed his nose to the glass. He came running in and sliding across the linoleum with wet paws. “How do you want your eggs?”
“Over easy.” I bent down and grabbed the squeaky rubber chicken Mooch dropped at my feet. “Wanna play? Who’s a good boy?” I scratched behind his ears, and he made this half grunt sound like a freaking pig snorting. I tossed the chicken into the living room, and he scampered after it.
“I think Mooch likes you.”
“He better. I plan on being around a long time.”
“That so?”
“I’m all in with you, babe.”
Her cheeks flushed a pale pink. “Me too.”
“Good.” I slapped her ass, and she yelped with a startled jump. The dog came running to her defense, prancing and growling at my ankles. “I thought you were on my side?” I chuckled, and the coffee pot dinged. I made myself useful while Everly cooked, pouring us both a mug.
We ate our breakfast at the nook in the corner. I won Mooch over by sharing my bacon with him. Everly loaded the dishwasher, and I went in search of my clothes.
Everly took a shower, and I flipped through the channels on the TV while cuddling with Mooch in the recliner, getting extremely comfortable in her home and making fast friends with the pooch.
Everly returned and sank down on my lap, replacing Mooch. “Hi.” Her fresh mint washed over my lips.
“Hey yourself. What do you say we swing by my place so I can clean up, and we take your little rascal to the park.”
“Sounds good.” Her lips met mine, soft and sweet, but quickly the kiss deepened, and I found myself undressing her instead. There couldn’t be a better way to spend the day than Everly naked and writhing beneath me.
We made it to the park eventually.
I pulled up outside Jane Lynn and Herbert’s house, remembering the last time we saw each other.
Everly glanced at the house then back to me. I saw a body shift behind the c
urtain that covered the big picture window that took up most of the living room. “You know its not too late to back out of this.”
Gaze narrowed on my woman, I reminded her, “I meant what I said—get used to me being around, babe. I experienced the time of my life with you on that cruise, and I felt the emptiness you left me with the week after. I’m not going to let go of the best thing to ever happen to me because she comes with a kooky family.”
“True, you’ve already witnessed our crazy hanging out full frontal.”
“C’mere.” I gripped her chin and wrangled her in for a kiss before we went in front of the firing squad. ‘’We’ve already been through the worst on vacation, right?”
“True. My mother already believes I paid you.”
I grinned and chuckled. “I’m worth every penny, baby.”
“We’ll see about that,” she teased, and I exited the car, hurrying to jog to the passenger side before Ev got her door open.
Fingers laced together, we strolled up the walkway. Some flowers had begun to bloom signaling spring was upon us. A new season. A new beginning as we looked to the future. The front door swung open, and Drake stared at us slack jawed.
“Hey, man. Come on in.” He recovered from his shock quickly and bumped his knuckles against mine. He stepped aside and greeted Everly with a kiss to the cheek. “Hey, Sis. Gotta say, during the whole trip I thought Mason stepped in to rescue you from another bad blind date from Mom, but I think you two make a great couple. I’m happy for you. Both of you.”
Everly clenched my hand as I answered, “Appreciate that.”
“My sister’s lucky to have you, but if you ever hurt her, I’ll kick your ass,” Drake said as a chuckle escaped.
“Noted, but no worries of that. I know what I’ve got in Everly.” I kissed her temple, and blush creeped over her cheeks.
“Who’s here?” Jane Lynn called from the kitchen.
“Mason and Everly,” Herbert answered as we made our way into the living room after removing our coats.
He shook my hand and clamped my shoulder. “Good to see you again, son.”
“Everly, you didn’t say you were bringing a friend.” Her mother poked her head out the kitchen, giving us a once-over.
“I didn’t think I’d need to tell you I was bringing my boyfriend. I assumed you’d know since we told you on the cruise.”
Jane narrowed her gaze on her daughter, lips tipped down. Her gaze darted to me then back to Everly as though she was still skeptical. “Hmm. I suppose not. Though it would have been the thoughtful thing to do.” I let out a flustered breath. Jane Lynn would take some work to win over, but being with Ev had me up to the challenge. “Well, welcome to Sunday dinner, Mason. I’m sure the two of you will fill us in on all the happy details of how you got together.” Her attention returned to the kitchen, but I knew she wasn’t letting this go easily.
I wondered if it had been that obvious that we weren’t a couple yet on the cruise. Though it didn’t matter. We were then. Everly’s family would get used to me being in the picture because I didn’t plan on going anywhere.
“I’m going to see if Mom and Kelsey need any help in there.” Everly kissed my cheek, leaving me on my own with Herbert and Drake.
“You want a beer?” Herbert offered, and I accepted. He excused himself, and Drake shot me a funny look.
“So how long have you been seeing my sister? Real talk.”
“A while. I’ve always had a thing for her, and then she started working with me. I kept bumping into her around the office, and those feelings never went away and continued to grow.”
“So she didn’t pay you to go on the cruise?”
This pissed me off, but I kept it in check. “No way. I mean, I know Ev is your sister but, dude, she isn’t the kind of woman who needs to pay someone to be her boyfriend. She’s smart, beautiful, funny, and sexy.”
“Alright. Alright, I get your point. I guess she could do worse.” He grinned. “Naw, honestly, I’m glad it’s you and not some douchebag like she’s dated in the past.” This spiked my curiosity, and I put it in the back of my head to ask her later.
“So how’s married life?” I asked as we moved to the couch and took a seat.
“Good. I’m damn happy. So since you’re with Ev and have been for as you say a while, you got any plans of making an honest woman of her? What are your intentions with my sister?”
“Damn, you just go in for the kill.” He chuckled. “She’s the one. The woman I see my future with. While it won’t be tomorrow a ring goes on that finger, it will happen.”
He nodded, and Herbert returned with my beer as the front door opened, and Jess stomped in followed by Casey.
“No. Shhh. We’ll tell everyone when we’re seated at the table,” Jess chastised her boyfriend. Casey appeared unhappy about something, but he didn’t argue further. I felt for the man.
“Whoa. What are you doing here?” Jess asked, giving me a quizzical glare.
“Having dinner with my girlfriend and her family. What about you?”
Her brow quirked, and her hand went to her hip. “So you and Ev are seriously legit and all that. The real deal?”
“Yup.”
“Nice.” She held up her hand for a high five, the attitude melting away. I slapped her palm.
Casey gave me a chin lift in acknowledgment that I returned.
“Dinner’s ready,” Jane hollered from the dining room, and we all filed in to take our seats at the long table. “Oh good, just in time.” She smiled at Jess and Casey.
Everly came to me and laced our fingers together, pulling me to a seat beside her.
Before we could start eating, Jess tapped on her glass with her fork. “Since everyone is here and together, I guess there is no better time than the present to let you all know that Casey has asked me to marry him, and I said yes.”
Cheers went up around the table. “Oh, this is just wonderful. All my children are settling down and starting their families,” Jane Lynn boasted.
“I’m not pregnant, Mom. Slow down. And Mason and Everly aren’t even that serious, are they?”
All eyes at the table shot to me and Everly. Nothing like being put on the spot, but I didn’t give a shit. Everly beat me to it, though.
“Leave Mason alone. All of you,” Everly warned, pointing her fork at each of them one by one.
“You never did tell us when the two of you got together, sweetheart,” her mother pressed. I could sense that she wasn’t sold on us being together yet. Part of her was still digging for answers, but in time she’d see I’d never been more serious about anything in my life.
“Jane Lynn, with all due respect, it’s none of your business. It’s between Everly and me. But if you must know, I’ve loved your daughter since I was in high school.”
Everly squeezed my hand under the privacy of the table.
“Well, I guess that settles it then. Let’s eat.” She gave me a smile, but there was still some tension between us that couldn’t be helped. I needed her to know I was there to stay. Everly was my girl, and I planned to make her my wife as soon as possible. Some would say it was too fast, but they didn’t spend half their life dreaming about Everly Woolsworth as I had done.
It felt right.
Everly would be my wife. I’d known it from the moment I laid eyes on her when she walked into my office three years ago. Hell, I knew it back in high school that she was my forever girl.

Be Patient. Everything Is Coming Together… I Think
“Good afternoon, gorgeous.” Mason leaned against the door to my office, smirking at me as though we didn’t have breakfast together in my kitchen and drive here in separate cars afterward.
Mason and I had managed to keep our relationship on the downlow at work for weeks. Of course, Samantha knew and would never rat us out. I hated being so secretive, but there was something to be said about the thrill of getting caught like teenagers sneaking around. Thi
ngs were going so great they were almost too good to be true.
“What are you up to? I thought you had a meeting?”
“I did.”
“How did it go?”
“You’re looking at the new VP of Boise Financial.” He grinned.
“That’s amazing. Congrats!” I jumped out of my chair and threw my arms around his neck, planting a kiss on his cheek. His arms went around my waist.
“Is that any way to greet your man. Gimme that mouth, babe.” Mason claimed my lips, kissing me so hard and deep, my leg flew up in a little kick like in the movies.
A whistle piercing through the air had me remembering where we were. I pulled back, blushing. “Oops.” I glanced around him to see it was only Sam. And mercy she grinned at us like a loon, lips stretched ear to ear.
“Don’t worry. I know the boss.” He winked and squeezed my ass discreetly.
“Mason,” I hissed.
“Don’t stress. Mr. Harper knows all about us.”
“He does? Um … so he’s not upset?”
“Nope.”
“And you managed this how?”
“Told him you are the love of my life, and if I can’t have you then I’d take a job elsewhere.”
My hand flew to my mouth. “You didn’t?”
“I did.”
I nodded. It must’ve gone okay if he got the promotion. “How did he react?”
“His face got a little red, and he went quiet for a minute. Then he smiled and said he liked my brass balls and told me the job was mine. Today we signed off on the finer details of my salary and benefits.”
“Wait … when did you know you had the job and that he’d be okay with us?”
My boyfriend grinned and stroked his chin. “The day before I cornered you in the supply room.”
I swatted at his chest, and he grabbed my wrist. “You jerk. You let me stress about anyone seeing us together.” Of course, Samantha knew because she was my best friend, and I didn’t keep stuff like that from her. Not ever. We’d always told each other practically everything. Sometimes she overshared.
