The Long Fall Into Darkness Page 16

Trung Tin Shinji, the cover artist for An Ill Wind Blows, did the cover for this one, too, and damn if it isn’t just the prettiest thing.

My cheering squad, Rachel Lee and Jamie Roberts, are probably still the whole reason I write these books. I can’t wait for their reaction to the twist at the end of this one.

And finally, of course, there’s all of you out there reading this book who aren’t related to me. Why did you pick this book up? Did the cover speak to you? Do you like guys in fedoras falling? Was it the way I misspelled “hazard” when I first started writing these stories nearly twenty years ago and just went with it? Who knows. But thank you.

There’s only one book in this series left. At least, that I have planned out. There could be more after that. Who knows? I could easily see myself writing stories about Hazzard until I die, and that’s all thanks to you.

[DS1]Before, he mentioned that a month and a half had passed.

[DS2]This is weird because chasm isn’t even close to being a verb.

[DS3]Why did he need Eddie there to use a computer? Couldn’t he have done that on his own?

[DS4]You use this sound a lot, consider oomph or splat!

  [DS5]HACK THE PLANET!

[DS6]This sounds like a line from Leverage. “Let’s steal City Hall!”

  [DS7]Is that the right word?
