Storm (Sinning Cobras MC Book 1) Page 13

by Colbie Kay

“Fuck!” Storm pulls away from me and rushes to free himself. He spits in his hand before fisting himself. His hand moves up and down his long thick shaft, and I’m mesmerized by the sight.

“That’s so sexy,” I blurt out. “I wish it was me and not your hand. I want to feel you inside me so badly.”

“Fuck!” he repeats as he strokes himself faster.

“Come here,” I tell him. “Stand over here.” I point to the top side of my bed. Once he’s in place, I gently roll to my side the best I can. It hurts, but I’m desperate.

With one hand, I wrap it around his thigh, urging him closer. My tongue laps at the precum beading on the tip of his cock. I suck him into my mouth, moving down until I feel him touch the back of my throat.

Storm’s hand slaps against the wall. “Haven,” he groans my name with so much hunger in his tone. I bob up and down, continuously working harder and faster until his legs are shaking. His cock jerks in my mouth. “I’m going to come,” he warns me, but I’m not moving. I take him in as far as I can, and the first spurt of his release bursts on my tongue. I don’t stop until he’s given me every last drop. “Shit.” Storm pulls from my mouth and fixes his jeans. “I miss us, too, Darlin’.” He leans over me and presses his lips to my forehead. “I love you.”

I close my eyes at the gentle touch. “I love you, too, Storm. So much.”

Just as Storm pulls my gown down, a nurse comes running into the room. “Haven, are you okay? Your machine was going crazy.”

“I’m fine.” I try to sound normal, but I don’t think I did a very good job because she glares at Storm. “I got a little excited, is all.” I fight to keep from laughing, especially when I peek at Storm. His head is hung, and he’s grinning like a Cheshire cat.

“Well, try and stay calm. I will be back in a couple of hours to check your vitals.”

Once she’s out of the room, I burst into a fit of laughter. “Oh my god.”

“She would have thought you were dead if we fucked.” Storm grins wickedly.

  “Shut up!” I laugh harder.

He shrugs. “Not my fault you get overly excited. Oh wait, it is my fault.” He winks before opening the door. “I’m going to the vending machine. Do you want anything?”

“No.” I cover my face with a pillow. Oh my god, that was amazing. I better get out of this hospital soon because if I’m here much longer, I feel like we’re going to get into a whole lot of trouble.

I had to stay for another week in the hospital, but I’m finally home. Storm hurries from the driver’s side of Mom’s car to the passenger side and opens the door for me. He drove Mom’s car from Colorado because she drove the moving truck with all of her belongings loaded in the back. She said she wouldn’t live in that house for one more second, and if her daughters were staying in Kansas, that’s where she would be, too. I couldn’t be happier that she’s here.

Storm helps me ease out of the seat and holds onto me while we shuffle into the clubhouse. Everyone is here clapping for me, even Kayla.

“Thanks, everyone, but Haven needs to rest, so I’m taking her to bed,” Storm announces.

Kayla comes up to me. “I just want to say I’m sorry, Haven.”

“I’m sorry, too.” I put one arm around her, trying to hug her the best I can.

A woman with red hair approaches us. “Hi, Haven. I’m Cherry.” She sounds sweet, but she looks a little rough. “I know we’ve never spoken, but I wanted to tell you how brave you are. Storm’s lucky to have you. I know he loves you, and he’s a great guy. He could have loved—”

“Cherry.” Storm sounds as if he’s warning her.

She nods. “I just...I...I’m glad you’re going to be okay.” She places her hand on Storm’s arm and squeezes it before walking off.

“What was that about?” I question with a cocked eyebrow.

  “Nothing.”

We bypass everyone else and finally make it to our room. Storm helps me sit down on the bed, and I lie back against the pillows, thinking about Cherry. “She’s in love with you.”

“Who?” Storm’s head snaps in my direction.

  “Cherry.”

Storm covers me with a blanket and sits on the edge of the bed. “Cherry’s not in love with me. She’s in love with the heroin I give her.”

My eyes widen. “You give her drugs? Why?”

He shrugs. “Because she’s a junkie and craves them. Now, you need to rest.” His palms cup my cheeks. “You’re the only woman I have ever loved, Darlin’. Don’t worry about her.”

  “Okay, but—”

He interrupts me, “No, buts.” He presses his lips against mine, his tongue sliding across the seam of my mouth. I’m dizzy with the feel of his tongue entangling with mine, and it makes me forget everything.

Storm breaks away from me. “Now rest.”

“I will, but can you have my mom, Chapel, Rowan, and Kayla come in here?”

  “Why?”

“I want to talk to them about something. I’ll let you know after.”

  “I’ll go get them.”

The four of them stand in front of me, waiting for me to speak. I glance at each one. “Being shot and almost dying has made me do a lot of thinking about my life.” My gaze drifts to Kayla. “Do you remember our first session when you asked me what I wanted to do with my life?”

“Yes. You said you hadn’t thought about it because you didn’t think you’d have the chance to have one.”

I nod. “Right. But I do have a life, and I’ve been taking that for granted. I’ve held myself back out of fear, and I held Chapel back, too. No more. I’m done living in fear. Life is too short.”

Chapel beams. “Damn right, it is.”

Rowan’s head tilts to the side as if she’s trying to work out what I’m saying.

“I have thought a lot about this, about what I want to do with my life. I want to open a center for trafficked children and adults. Rowan and Chapel, would you be willing to be co-partners?”

“Yes!” Chapel shouts, practically bouncing on her feet.

  Rowan smiles happily. “Of course!”

My eyes meet Mom’s. “Now that you are living here with us, I would like you to help, too.”

  “Absolutely.”

“Where do I fit in?” Kayla questions.

“You have helped me more than you could ever know. We have had rough times in our sessions, but I wouldn’t have ever been able to come out of hiding if it wasn’t for you. With that being said, I would like to ask if you would offer therapy to anyone who walks through our doors and needs it.”

Kayla’s mouth parts as if she’s surprised. “Really?”

I nod with excitement. “Yes, really.”

  “I’m in!”

I hold my hand out, and each of them lays theirs on top of the other. I stare at them and feel grateful to have them in my life. I’m also excited for what the future holds for me. It’s funny to say that, since for years, I didn’t think a future was possible, and now, I have the world in my hands.

  Epilogue

  Storm

  ONE MONTH LATER

Haven is sleeping peacefully when I walk into our room. “Darlin’, wake up.”

She sits up, rubbing her tired eyes. “What’s going on?”

“I have something for you.” I sit the wrapped box on her lap. I feel the sweat beading on my forehead, and my heart is palpitating with anxiousness.

Her eyes light up like it’s Christmas morning as she begins tearing away the wrapping paper. She opens the box and pulls out her present, turning it in her hands. “Property of Storm,” she reads the back of her cut.

I sit on the edge of the bed. “I love you so fuckin’ much, Haven, and I can’t imagine my life without you. You already know you’re mine, but I want everyone in the fuckin’ world to know you’re my Ol’ Lady. I want you standing next to me for the rest of our lives. Will you wear this and show the world that you’re mine?”

  Her eyes narrow, but I
can see her lips twitching. “I’m not a piece of property, Storm. I am my own person.”

  I growl, “Haven.”

A shit-eating grin forms on her beautiful face. “I’m just kidding. You know I will proudly wear it.”

I laugh. “You’re such a fuckin’ brat!” I crawl over her body, pressing her down into the bed.

“Don’t call me that!” She giggles as I begin tickling her.

“I love you so much, Darlin’.”

  “I love you, too, Storm.”

My lips crash against hers, and my hand is working its way under her shirt when there’s a knock on the door. “Go away!” I shout.

“Storm,” Ace calls out my name, and there is something in his tone. I jump from the bed and open the door.

“Ace?” Unease bubbles in my gut.

“We found him, Storm. We found Miguel.” I suck in a breath at the words I’ve been waiting to hear.
