An Angel for Avery Page 13

“I understand this more than you know.” Aiden hugged her. “You make me happy with your declaration of love. I will give you as much freedom as I can while keeping you safe. I only want you to be safe. Mortals are frail.”

  Avery hit his arm.

“What?” He shrugged. “I speak the truth. And you are mortal.”

“Yes, I know. You keep reminding me.” She frowned. “Come on, let’s go home.”

They resumed walking, and when they reached the house, Aiden opened the door. Avery rushed off to her room to get ready for bed.

An hour passed, and Aiden still hadn’t come to the bedroom. She walked out into the living room dressed in one of her new nightgowns. When he saw her, his eyes glowed in the darkened room. The flames from the fireplace made him look even more surreal.

“Are you coming to bed?” Avery leaned against the doorjamb, her hand extended.

“I do not sleep, not really.”

“Aiden, I’m not asking you to sleep.”

“Then yes, I am coming to bed.” In the next second, he was next to her. He took her hand, kissing it. “I want to make love again. I cannot lie next to you and not touch you. Not anymore.” Aiden pulled her into his arms.

“I know, and neither can I.” She kissed him.

He closed the bedroom door behind them. The glow from his eyes was as bright as the fire, casting a golden glow over the room. Fighting nervousness, Avery pulled his sweater over his head. He shook his head so his hair would not be in his face. His movements were sexy beyond words. Reaching for his belt, she unbuckled it.

“Let me do this in the mortal way.” Avery rubbed her hand over his abdomen. “It’s sexy this way, to go slow.”

“As you like, my love.” He kissed her forehead down the side of her face as she unzipped his pants. His fully erect cock leapt into her hand. Thick, hard, and long, it stood straight up. Gripping it, she moved her hand over it.

She looked up at him. “I can’t believe all of this fits inside me.” She rubbed her hand over its smooth, warm surface. Impulsively, she knelt down and put her mouth on its tip, sucked it lightly, and then kissed it.

Aiden moaned and gently pushed his cock further between her lips.

“It fits very nicely.” Aiden caressed the side of her face with his hand. “You are beautiful.”

She gazed into his eyes, then she took his cock fully into her mouth. His eyes were half closed, but he watched her. His cock grew thicker.

Avery pushed his denims to his knees. They fell to his ankles. He stepped out of them, fully naked. Avery had to remember to breathe. He was perfect, like a Michelangelo statue. Every time she looked at him, he looked better than before.

Aiden grabbed her silky gown, pulling it over her head. Avery’s breasts bounced, and then his hand were on them, lightly squeezing them. With a growl, he pushed her on her back then took one of her nipples into his mouth. He sucked and licked. Her pussy leaked with juices of her desire.

“Nice and wet.” Aiden’s finger found its way into her wet crevice, manipulating her labia.

Avery moaned. “Aiden, it feels so good. I want you to…”

“What?” Sitting down on the edge of the bed, he pulled her into his lap with her back to him. Moving her to the right position, his erect cock plunged into her pussy. Both of his hands clasped her breasts, playing with her nipples.

Avery sunk back onto his shaft and squeezed him inside her. Spasms shook them both. She moved her hair out of the way, allowing him to kiss her neck. His warm kisses trailing down her neck made her wilder, less inhibited in her actions. Avery bounced, each time pushing him deeper into her. Her hands were on his thighs, holding herself steady as she pleasured them with her rhythmic moves. More wetness oozed out of her, flowing around his thick cock.

Pausing, she touched his cock as it was halfway inside of her. Then she rested her back against him. He cupped her breasts. Avery turned her head to kiss him. His large frame shook. She placed her hand where they were joined, rubbing his cock and her clit as he entered her.

From his sitting position, he laid back on the bed, pulling her back with him. Her hair was in his face. He pushed it over her shoulder. With her hands behind her on the mattress, she positioned herself and continued to eagerly take him inside her.

“Look at us.” He playfully nipped her ear.

Suddenly, the ceiling was magically reflective. “Look up, I wanted you to see how beautiful you are.” He watched them too. His eyes were the unusual golden color. He kissed her neck up to her chin. His hands moved over her breasts to her stomach then to her pussy. “We fit together nicely.” Lifting his hips, he pushed up into her as she pushed down.

Avery stared at the mirror, captivated by what she was watching. What she witnessed thrilled her. Aiden moaned loudly and the earth shook. The lamp next to the bed toppled to the floor.

“What’s happening?” Avery’s voice was high-pitched, and her eyes were wide as she looked all around.

“Do not be afraid of me or the trembling earth. I have caused it to quake.” Aiden pulled out of her and rolled her onto her back. Instantly, he was upon her, his cock inside her once more, hardly breaking the tempo. He held himself above her as his hips pumped into her. He increased his pace, and his expression became fiercely passionate. Aiden closed his eyes, his body riddled with spasms as he lost his seed. He fell onto her, his body still shaking from his climax.

She hugged him and whispered, “I love you.”

The mirror he’d created was still on the ceiling. His perfectly toned warrior’s body covered her petite much softer one. She slid her hand over his sleek back, and spasms shook him again.

“I love you too.” He moved again within her, making her sigh.

They lay quietly for a time, Aiden still inside her. Her pussy continued to ripple with pleasure around his still thick cock. Avery’s hands brushed over his firm physique.

When their world settled, Aiden rolled to his side, pulling her into his arms. “You move me, Avery.” He nipped her earlobe.

“Did we cause the earth to shake?”

“Yes.” He hugged her closer to him. “You have to sleep. You will need to go to work in a few hours, and I want you to be rested.”

She cuddled close to his big body until sleep claimed her.

  Chapter 6

“Maine is so beautiful. I love all the trees.” Avery gazed out the car window. A light fluffy snow fell, but it wasn’t sticking to the ground yet.

“It is a beautiful place. When the snow begins to stick, it will be picturesque.” It was odd when Aiden wore sunglasses and she couldn’t see his emotions play out in his eyes. She had gotten used to seeing his eyes change.

“Are you sure we won’t get lost? It’s really a wilderness out here. These lumber roads go for hundreds of miles leading nowhere.” Avery fidgeted in her seat. “I was warned about them when I first moved here.”

“Avery, I am an angel.” He looked over at her. “There is no need to be nervous. I can get us out of here if need be. Do not worry.”

  “Okay.” She nodded.

“We are going to find a fabulous tree and have a great time.” He smiled. “I cannot get lost, at least not on planet earth. For sure not in Maine. Do not worry.” Aiden patted her leg.

“Yes, we’ll find a great tree here—there are so many to pick from.” She took hold of his hand and gently squeezed it. “I can’t wait to put the ornaments on it. They’ll be beautiful. It’s been so long since we bought them.” Avery continued to stare out the windows.

“I really enjoyed yesterday. Your meal was magnificent. I never thought I would love turkey. It is such a stupid bird.” He chuckled.

“Its lack of intelligence doesn’t affect its taste.” Avery giggled.

“Plus, I loved the cook too, in more ways than one. She was also delicious.”

“Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the meal so much.” She smiled. “I wanted to teach you to cook, but you were too busy with me
.” Heat rushed to her face as she thought about what they’d done on the kitchen floor, the dining chairs, and the counters. “I hope I brought enough food today for our lunch.”

“You did. I do not need to eat. I just need to fuck you.”

“Aiden.” Avery rolled her eyes at him, then playfully slapped his arm. “You are becoming very naughty.”

“I was already very naughty.” He winked. “I pretended to behave.”

  “Really?”

“Yes, I have tried to be a gentleman. How have I done?”

“You’ve done well. I like you just like you are.” Avery rubbed his arm. They rode in silence for several more minutes.

  “You seem deep in thought.”

  “I missed my family yesterday.”

“Did I give you time to miss them?” He grinned.

“Not hardly. But it’s hard on a holiday to be away from home.” She looked down at her hands. “I behaved wantonly on Thanksgiving day. I hope you didn’t mind?” She glanced out the side of her eyes to see him.

Aiden broke into peals of laughter. Finally, he sobered, clearing his throat. “I liked how you behaved. You were perfect. I have never celebrated Thanksgiving. I truly enjoyed the day. You made it excellent in every way.”

“I enjoyed it too. I enjoyed the merging of our emotions during...”

  “Sex?”

“Yes.” Avery nodded. “It was truly sensual. I can’t stop thinking about it.”

“I had hoped I had not overwhelmed you with my intensity.”

  “No, it was wonderful.”

“When I let go, there is a floodgate of emotions waiting.” He rubbed her thigh.

While they were merged, his need was her need, his thoughts were her thoughts, and vice versa. She’d learned much about him. Avery realized who was truly in control during those intense moments. Aiden was, yet she was his willing partner, a puppet to his needs. But a well-loved puppet, fully satisfied. Avery knew she could lose herself to his dominance under those circumstances. He was addictive on every level, far more than any narcotic. He was an aphrodisiac. Even now, she longed to feel their intensely intimate connection.

“Avery, are you listening?” Aiden tapped her arm. “Hey.”

“Yes, I’m sorry. I was deep in thought.” Avery shook her hair out of its ponytail.

“I guess so. I was saying if your family was there, we would not have had as much fun in the kitchen.” He grinned.

She looked out the window, not answering him.

“Are you suddenly shy of me? After all we have done together, all we have shared?”

“No, but sometimes I don’t know what to say.” She shrugged.

“I think you are still my virgin bride.”

“I’m not your bride.” Her tone was a bit abrupt. “And I’m no longer a virgin.”

“In my heart you are my bride.”

They rode in silence for nearly an hour. Avery focused on looking out the window. “Do you know where we’re going?” she finally asked him.

“I do.” Aiden nodded. “It is not much further.”

“You know, I’m feeling sorry for myself for no good reason.”

  “What’s bothering you?”

“I’m going to have to get used to not being with my family every holiday.” She shrugged. “I guess I need to grow up.”

“Change can be difficult. But you never know about life. Time may change things. It often does.”

“Perhaps.” Avery nodded. “At least your evil brothers have left us alone for nearly a month. We should celebrate our good fortune.”

“Exactly why I brought you here.” He reached for her hand, gently squeezing it. “We can celebrate by enjoying nature and having earth-shattering sex in this fantastic place.” Aiden laughed. Lately he’d been completely relaxed with her, allowing himself to joke easily with her. He was always laughing too. “You make me happy, Avery.” He took off his sunglasses and laid them on the dashboard. His dark eyes glowed bright, then flashed golden. “I have never been so content.”

“Aiden, I think you have only one thing on your mind.” She made a tsking sound.

  “What would that be?”

  “Sex.” She grinned.

“Hardly, my love. I have lots of things on my mind. Sex is only one of them.”

“I’m teasing you. But it’s one of your major interests.”

“I like it when you tease me. And yes, it is a high priority.”

“Don’t cause any more earthquakes. It was on the news last time.”

“But Avery, when I am with you, the earth moves. What can I say?” He slowed the car, pulled off to the side of the road, and turned off the engine. “Here we are. We are not far from the ocean. This place has the best nature has to offer. Trees, wildlife, and the ocean nearby. When it is quiet, you can hear the waves. We will go to the shore tomorrow after we find our tree.” He jumped out of the car and hurried around to her side to open the door. He helped her step out, then he looked up at the sky and inhaled deeply. “Smell the freshness of this place. The trees, the earth, and the sea. It is a perfect place for us to spend time together. Just us, with no interruptions.” He pulled her into his arms.

“Have you been here before? It sounds like you’re particularly fond of this area.”

“Yes, I have been everywhere at least once. When I was here last, no human lived on this continent.” He chuckled. “It is still private, we can almost forget the rest of the world even exists. Do you like it here?”

“Yes.” Avery took his hand and he led her through the woods.

“I think it is romantic.” He kissed the side of her face and smiled at her. “If the earth moves here, only we will feel it. And there are thousands of firs to select our Christmas tree from.” They stopped in a small shaded clearing. “I will put our tent up here, for now, and make a fire.”

Using his angelic abilities, the camp materialized. A fire blazed to life in the center of their site. Their bags, coolers, and picnic baskets were set outside their tent. Two camp chairs set next to the campfire.

Aiden sat down, smiling wide. “Wow, I am worn out. It was hard work getting all that set up.”

“It looked like it.” She giggled.

“Come here, beautiful woman, sit on my lap. Let me hold you.” Aiden pulled her down, tickling her. Their coats disappeared. “You want to have an adventure?”

“Aren’t we having an adventure already?”

He stood up with her in his arms. Avery continued to giggle. Wings appeared on his back. They unfurled to their full glory. “I know how to have fun. I will take you for a ride.”

“I like to ride you.” She patted his chest.

“We will do that next. Now I want to take you flying.” Aiden kissed her mouth then pulled her closer. With her in his arms, he rose straight up past the treetops.

Avery clung to him, her nails digging into his skin. “Aiden, please don’t drop me.”

“Hush, my girl. You are safe.” He tenderly kissed her lips.

For a moment, she forget she was truly floating on air. “I’m scared.”

“All is well, I will not let you fall. Let us go look at the sea. It is magnificent from above. It will astonish you with its beauty.” He flew into the wind.

Her hair blew wildly around her head. She clung to him with her arms around his neck, her legs around his mid-section. She was afraid to glance down. Aiden held her tight against his body with one strong arm. He stopped in midair. Despite the chilly air, his body was like a furnace, warming her chilled one.

“See those boats?” He pointed. “There is a cruise ship. Maybe we should go on a cruise someday?” He nuzzled her face with his.

“Can they see us?” Avery gripped him tighter as she peered down.

“No, no mortal can see us right now.” With a burst of energy he spun up higher.

She shivered in the chilly air.

  “Are you cold?” he asked.

  “Yes.”

  “Here
.” He wrapped his wings around her like a silken cocoon. They closed her in, cradling her. Still concerned for her safety, she squeezed her legs as tight as she could around him.

“Aiden, what are you doing?” Her voice was shrill. “Please, I don’t want to fall.”

“I would never let you fall. I do not need my wings to fly.” He gripped her hard, his wings shielding her from the wind. Taking the opportunity with her face so close, he kissed her. “Trust me, my love.”

  “You don’t need your wings?”

“No, they are tools of battle. I can fly with or without them. Are you warm now?”

  “Yes.”

“Let me show you where we can get our fir tree. We can pick it out now.”

  “Okay.” Avery shook.

  “Are you still cold?”

“No, not really. This is frightening to me. I know I can trust you, but I still can’t help myself.”

“Very well.” His wings unwrapped from around her. He dove toward the coastline.

Avery giggled with merriment and fear as he headed for the fir trees. “Please hold me tight. Oh my goodness, I hope you can stop.”

“I can stop.” Aiden slowed, landing next to a large pine. He released her as he kissed the side of her face. “Come, my darling. Tell me which tree you desire. I shall take it down for you.”

She glanced around and frowned. “They’re all too tall.”

“There are shorter ones in the middle of the wooded area. We can use an eight foot tree.” He took her hand and led her through the trees.

“Are you sure? I’m not good with measurements, but it seems kinda tall for our cabin.” She glanced up as they passed through the trees. The scent of the pine was pleasing. She stopped to look around, inhaling deeply. “It’s nice.” She grabbed his arm, hugging it.

Under the canopy of the trees, it was darker. The forest floor was covered in soft pine needles, which made a soft carpet under their feet.

“No, an eight foot tree will do fine, even taller if you like. I will make it fit,” he promised.
