He sighed and nodded his head. “He’s been after me, too. He’s been trying to talk to people here as well as following me around. He was waiting for me in the parking lot when I got here today. He wanted to do an exclusive with me. I told him to go to hell. He’s done enough damage, and we don’t need to give him anymore.”

She sighed and buried her face in his chest as he held her. “What are we going to do?”

“I’ll tell you exactly what we’re going to do. We’re not going to worry about this anymore, and we’re going to concentrate on us.” He smiled as she looked up at him with questions in her eyes.

“On us?” she asked in a curious voice.

He nodded. “Yes, I’m seeing you here most days, and I love that, but I want to see you away from here. I want more time alone with you. Come to dinner with me tonight, and then come spend the night at my house, please. Is that possible? Will you do that?”

A smile flashed over her face and butterflies began to dance wildly in her belly. “Absolutely. I’m sure Mama and Jack won’t mind taking care of Jenny. Let me just check with them, and it’s a date!” She squealed with excitement and leaned up to kiss him.

From the moment her lips touched his, she forgot about everything else and lost herself in his kiss. When he let her go, they were both heated and a little breathless. She gave him a smile and told him that she would go and talk with her mother.

When they left the office that night, he took her to dinner at the restaurant at the top of the Space Needle, and they enjoyed a luxurious meal and some fine wine, sitting at a private table and gazing out onto the lights of the city as the restaurant rotated slowly, showing them a view of three hundred sixty degrees while they dined.

When their dinner was done, Alexander took Callie to his home. As he pulled his car up the long winding driveway, she felt a thrill move through her. She felt as if the relationship between them was becoming more real; she was his and he was taking her to his home for the night.

The house was two stories tall, built of stone, glass, and wood, in many ways reflecting the nature grew so abundantly around it. It was surrounded by a thick forest blended of both pine and deciduous trees, endless bushes, vines, flowering plants, and thick soft grasses.

Nearly everything but the house wore a fine veil of moss here and there. To the side of the home was an open meadow with a stream that flowed through it, and at the back of the house was a large carefully sculpted garden lined with paved walkways and dotted with benches and chairs where one could sit.

“Your home is beautiful!” She gasped as she looked up at it.

He smiled and his cheeks turned a slight shade of pink. “It’s been a work in progress. I am still tinkering when I have time. I was thinking of putting in some stables and a small lake for swimming. I haven’t fully decided on all of it yet.”

Alexander pulled in to the garage and she saw that he had a Lamborghini and a red Jeep Wrangler. She smiled and gave him a wink. “Sporty and adventurous?” She asked as she stepped from his BMW.

He shrugged. “I do my best.” He teased a little and took her into the house. It was elegantly designed with a contemporary style, and she saw that while it looked like two stories on the outside, there were three levels on the inside, from a below ground level to the main floor and then the upper floor above it.

They walked through the living room and kitchen as he gave her a tour, and he showed her an indoor sauna and steam room. There was a gym, a medium sized theatre room, a dining room, an office, a library, and a greenhouse that connected to the kitchen.

Alexander took her upstairs and showed her a few rooms there, but then took her to the last room at the end of the wide hallway. There were double doors that opened up to a massive room which has sheer glass walls on two sides of it and solar panels in the roof. It faced the meadow and the creek, and then the forest behind that.

A balcony led off of the room out of glass doors, and there were chairs and a hammock outside. In the room was a king sized bed and a light wood set of furniture including a wardrobe, dressers, nightstands, a desk, and a table with two chairs. There was a fireplace near the bed, and at the other side of the room, there was a bathroom with a sunken tub, a stone walled shower, and a smaller sauna and steam room.

Callie couldn’t get over it. Shaking her head, she stared out of the glass walls toward the meadow and the forest. “This is incredible. I’ve never seen a house like this anywhere. It’s so beautiful!”

Alexander stood behind her and drew his hands down the sides of her arms, tracing them over her dark skin. “Nothing here is as beautiful as you are.” He said quietly.

Her body quivered with the tension of electricity that flowed between them. She turned where she stood and faced him, touching his face and gazing into his eyes. “You have changed so much about my life in such a short time, but the most profound thing is that I never knew that I could want someone as much as I want you, the way that I want you.” She said in a soft voice.

Alexander leaned down and kissed her tenderly, moving his lips slowly over hers as his fingers moved to take off her clothes. “I know exactly what you mean.” He tasted her mouth and his touch caressed her breasts. His fingers moved lightly over her nipples, which hardened for him with need, and his warm palms cupped her flesh there as he massaged it gently.

She pulled his clothes from him and he drew her into his bed, laying back and pulling her up on top of him. She leaned forward and kissed him long and slow before tantalizing him with her lips, bringing them down his chest and belly to his groin, where she slowly ran her tongue up and down his hardening shaft. Turning her tongue this way and that, she taunted the head of his erection, sucking gently at it at first, and then taking her time drawing more and more of it into her mouth as he began to lose his breath. He was groaning aloud by the time she was taking nearly all of him, going as far as she could, though it wasn’t enough to fully suck the width and length of him.

He moved his hips gently, pushing himself carefully into her lips and down her tongue, and she massaged and manipulated his firmness until the desire in them both became too much and she finally lifted her mouth from him and straddled him, spreading her thighs wide as she lowered her body down onto his erection.

She took him in slowly, an inch at a time, squeezing him and moving just a little as she pulled him in farther and farther, until he had filled her completely and she could barely breathe from the intensity of the pleasure that she felt.

Alexander was breathless as he squeezed her breasts and she began to rock herself over him, slowly at first, swaying with a rhythm that he matched, but as their passion began to burn hotter, they moved faster, and she leaned down to kiss him, her tongue twisting with his as they sucked and bit at each other, their bodies wrestling hard against one another as sweat beaded up on their skin and they clung tighter to one another.

He made her come and then come again, pleasing her four times before he finally could hold himself back no longer and he thrust himself into the furthest depths of her and cried out with his ecstasy, trembling as he came hard, his mouth open and pressed against her chest as he embraced her.

Callie sighed with her own release and laid back with him, kissing him softly. They touched each other’s faces and talked softly in between their lips meeting again and again.

“It’s so amazing with you.” He told her in earnest. “It’s never been like that with anyone, and I just can’t seem to get enough of you. It is incredible to me that you are so smart, so good, so beautiful, and so very passionate. I couldn’t design a better woman than you if I had everything in the world to choose from.”

She smiled and chuckled softly. “I feel exactly the same about you. I don’t even think you know how beautiful you are. Do you know? I’ve seen a lot of men, and none who could turn my head the way that you do. No man has ever made me feel as good as you do in every way, from the office and my work to our friendship and especially here, in your arms, it seems li
ke the entire world is gone and there’s nothing in it but you and I.”

“I’m so glad that you came to stay with me here tonight, Callie. I want you to come back here and do this with me often. I just can’t see myself getting enough of you.” he laughed softly as he gazed at her. “It feels like the more of you that I get to know, and the more of you that I have, the more I want. That’s never happened to me before. I’m not content to have what I have of you. I feel… hungry for more, and it just grows.”

His hand moved over her breasts and down her belly to the soft patch of hair between her legs. His fingers slipped between her thighs there as he began to kiss her lips slowly and sensually, and she moaned softly as he massaged her. She felt him growing hard against her leg and he moved his fingers faster and deeper as she began to lose her breath.

“Alexander!” She cried out his name softly as his mouth traveled down her neck to her dark and hardened nipples. He took one in his mouth and bit gently at it, teasing her as his fingers drove her wild.

She arched her back as pleasure flooded through her and she reached her arms around his shoulders, holding tightly to him as she tensed and cried out with her orgasm. She gasped for breath as she came, and he moaned with desire at the sound of it.

As she began to relax, he turned her over on her stomach and knelt behind her, lifting her hips to meet his. He pushed himself into her and began to pump, driving himself harder and deeper into her with every thrust, until they both came again, and she turned and laid on her back, drawing him down into her arms and holding him as their breath and their hearts slowed.

Alexander wrapped his arms around Callie and pulled her close to him. “You know, this time you’ll be here when I wake up. I’ll cook breakfast for you.” He laughed softly and gave her another kiss.

“You cook?” She asked with interest.

“Cereal and milk.” He said evenly as he closed his eyes.

“Are you serious?” She laughed at him and he couldn’t keep his straight face, laughing with her.

“Yes, I can cook. I’ll make us something good in the morning. Now kiss me goodnight.” He requested, and she did. They fell asleep together.

True to his word, he cooked a hot and delicious breakfast for her and took her by her house early so that she could change her clothes and freshen up, and then they went to work together. It felt like the perfect night and morning to them until they walked into their offices and each of them found a copy of the Seattle Times on their desks, courtesy of Norman. He left a note with Callie’s paper that he wanted to see her, and she could just imagine what he was going to say to her the second time, because the article was just as bad as the first one.

Kyle had detailed that Callie was staying tied to her stripper friends and her stripper job and that she wouldn’t let go of them to please the billionaire. There were photos of her at the strip club from when she had gone to see Max, Trixie, and Felicity, and they looked as if they supported his story, even though they couldn’t be the furthest thing from the truth.

Norman came into her office minutes after she sat at her desk and read the article. His face was just as stone cold as it had been the last time that he came in and he glared hotly at her. “I see that you are still spending time at the strip club and dancing there. You’re still doing your level best to drag this company down into oblivion! Look at this disgusting display! Have you no shame at all? How can you dare to show your face here while you’re still there?

We were once one of the most respected technology companies in the entire industry and now you are submerging all of us in the sewage that you’ve come out of! You have no right to do this to us! I told you to quit before it got worse and you didn’t, and now it’s gotten worse! I’m going to tell you again, for the sake of everyone here, you need to leave this company and do it immediately!”

Callie held her emotion in, only looking at him as he turned and stormed out of her office, slamming the door behind him again. She heard Rosa raise her voice to him, calling his name, but from the sound of it he kept going and didn’t turn around to see what it was that she wanted.

Tears flooded from Callie’s eyes and poured down her cheeks as Rosa came in and went to her, wrapping her in an embrace. “Don’t you listen to that jackass. He just hates the negative publicity.”

“He’s right though!” Callie sobbed as she let go of Rosa and looked at her sorrowfully.

“What do you mean he’s right?” Rosa gave her a suspicious look.

“I mean that I did come from a really bad place, and now everyone knows it, and I did go back there, but just one time because my friend Max, the bartender, told me that there was a reporter there poking around and asking questions, and they wanted to warn me about it. I went down to see what they were talking about and Kyle was there.

He took these photos of me then and tried to get me to give him some ridiculous insider scoop, but I wouldn’t talk to him. I left, and now there’s this! I’m bringing this onto the company, and I never meant to! I am giving the company a black eye, and while it’s not intentional, it’s still happening, and I can’t stop it unless I leave!” She felt like her heart was going to break in two.

“You are not leaving this company.” Alexander had walked into the room while she was talking and his voice was strong and unwavering. “I’m not having it. This is a trash newspaper and they’re printing trash news. Anyone with any intelligence knows that. All we need to do is get some reporters in here to do some positive news stories on the work that you’ve already done and the work that you’re doing. We can turn this around. Just don’t give up in the meantime.”

Rosa smiled at him and looked over at Callie. “I’m going to leave you two, but I want you to listen to him Callie, because he’s right.”

He embraced her and kissed her softly. “Rosa’s right. I’m right. Listen to us and don’t pay attention to anyone else. Especially this junk in the newspaper. It’s tomorrow’s trash.”

Callie sighed. “But it’s today’s news.”

“So we’ll get some other media organizations in here and we’ll publicize the true news.” He smiled at her and she nodded and smiled back. “Don’t let these lies get you down. We know they’re not true.”

  Chapter8

Oliver dropped by Alexander’s office to check on him and Alexander was relieved and very glad to see him. Oliver closed the door behind him and went to make himself a drink at Alexander’s mini bar.

“So the news is really beating the hell out of you. Does Kyle Reeves have it out for you or what? What’s behind him doing everything that he can to take you down?” Oliver asked as he poured gin into a glass.

“I have no idea. I didn’t even know who he was until the first article came out. Now it seems like he’s a dog with a bone and he doesn’t want to let go of it. He even came by here trying to get me to talk to him and give him an exclusive feature. I told him to go to hell.” Alexander grumbled as Oliver set a glass of gin in front of him and took a seat across from him at his desk.

“How do you feel about all of it? Are you going to let Callie go and wash your hands of it all or stick it out?” Oliver sipped at his drink and reveled in the deliciousness of it.

Alexander sighed and looked over at his friend. “I’m going to stick it out and fight this. The things he’s printing are lies. None of it’s true. I have a call in to the owner of the newspaper with a request to retract the articles, but I haven’t heard anything back yet. Also, I’m not about to let go of Callie. She’s so very special, both here at the office for the work we do and in my personal life. I’m not letting go of her at all. I just hope that reporter goes away before my company is demolished.”

“You don’t know why he’s coming after you?” Oliver asked intrigued.

“No idea.” Alexander picked up the drink his friend had given him and he took a long sip from it.

“Well, if I was you, I’d find out. That is a very curious thing; him coming after you the way that h
e is. I suspect it’s not just to sell papers.” Oliver advised him seriously.

“You may be right. I’ll look into that.” Alexander agreed.

Callie was working on her homework when a knock sounded at the door. She answered it and was stunned when the stranger there handed her an envelope.

“What is this?” she asked in confusion.

“You’re being served notice.” The man said, and then he left her.

Callie opened the envelope and stared at the papers in her hand. Jack walked in just as she was reading them and saw the expression on her face.

“Who was that at the door?” he asked anxiously.

She handed him the papers. “A delivery. We’ve been served. These are custody hearing papers. Vick wants custody of Jenny. I think I’m going to throw up.”

Jack read them and grew furious. “This isn’t going to happen. There’s no way that this can happen!”
