Sydney took a rubber band and tied her wet hair up into a sloppy ponytail. Water still dripped from the ends, and she was angry about it. So angry that she wasn't talking to Zeke.
Zeke watched her in amusement from the foot of the bed. He hadn't meant to get her hair wet in the shower. While he had her up against the shower wall, the last thing he thought about was keeping her hair dry. He became lost in the moment; lost inside of her.
"So you aren't talking to me?" he teased. "Syd-ney,” he drawled her name out, but she still ignored him. "Did you think it wouldn't get wet?"
"You did it on purpose." She pointed towards her hair. "It's already starting to curl up. You owe me a trip to the salon, Zeke."
Black women and their hair. "I like your curly hair."
"I thought you liked it straight."
He shrugged his shoulders. "I like your hair no matter how it is. I like that you always wear your natural hair,” he admitted. He's never seen her with extensions or weaves. Most of the women in her family had long, beautiful hair, including Sierra and Mrs. Adams. "I'll take you to the salon tomorrow,” he offered.
"Take me Monday. I don't plan on doing anything this weekend but staying in this bed," she said, sinking into the mattress, getting more comfortable.
That got his attention. "You're not working at the store?"
"Nope."
So I can keep her in bed all weekend? "Are you staying here?"
She smiled. "Only if it's okay with you. I have an overnight bag in my car."
"Yeah, it's fine.”
Her staying the whole weekend made him happy. She usually always worked Saturdays, and he expected her to leave in the morning. He was anxious to be inside her again, but was giving her time to rest. It took all of his restraint to not attack her again. She was looking incredibly sexy at the head of the bed, leaning against the headboard. Whenever he got close to her, she moved away from him. She was acting mean, but he knew how to get her in a better mood.
"I have something for you.
He ran out of the room, heading back to the kitchen. Sydney had a weakness for banana pudding, so he picked some up for her. He got it out of the refrigerator, and served it in two glass bowls. He got the satisfaction of seeing Sydney's face light up when he walked back in the room. She crawled to the edge of the bed, grabbed hers, and immediately stuck some in her mouth.
"Mmmmm!" she moaned dramatically. The drama with her hair was forgotten.
"Is it that good?" Zeke asked. Fuck eating his own, he was going sit and watch her eat. Sydney put another spoonful in her mouth and moaned again. Zeke swore his dick jumped at the sound of it. Who knew eating banana pudding could be so damn sexy?
Putting his bowl on the table, he grabbed hers. He wanted to feed her. Turning towards Sydney, he dipped the spoon in the pudding, and placed it in her mouth. Sydney had licked the spoon before she put her mouth on it. At that moment, he wanted that sweet mouth wrapped around his dick. He didn't mean to push Syd too far, but he wanted to test her limits. Not using the spoon, he dipped his finger in the pudding and put it towards her mouth when she leaned forward to lick it, he pulled his finger back and licked it off instead.
"That's not nice," Sydney pouted, hitting him in the chest.
He chuckled. "I'm sorry."
He dipped his finger in the pudding again and offered it to her. This time, Sydney latched onto his finger and sucked hard. Zeke almost came in his boxers. Lord have mercy. His Sydney was a little freak.
"What's wrong Mr. Coleman?" Sydney taunted. She drowned her finger in the desert but instead of wanting him to suck it off, she placed an ample amount on his chest and licked it off his nipples.
Zeke almost had a heart attack. "You better stop, Syd. Doing something like that will have you walking funny tomorrow," he warned. He was two seconds away from dropping the bowl on the ground and fucking her again.
"I know what I'm doing," she mumbled against his chest. She drifted over to his other nipple and kissed around it, sucking and licking. Getting on her knees in the bed, she untied the robe and let it fall off her shoulders leaving herself naked and bare in front of him. "Now what do you plan on doing with me?" she prompted.
"I was trying to give you time to rest, Syd." He was a little rough with her in the shower when he had her up against the wall. In total, they’d made love four times. He didn’t want her to be in pain.
“I don’t need time to rest.”
She made another move and reached for his boxers. She maintained eye contact with him as she pulled the hem back and pulled his penis out. Taking more of the pudding, she placed it on his top of the head and licked it off with her tongue.
"Oh shit," Zeke shouted.
She chuckled and lifted her head back up. "You have me naked in your bed, and you're trying to resist me. Shame on you. You’re going to let all of this go to waste," she stated, while she wiggled in front of him.
Who is this woman? She couldn’t be the same one that was blushing earlier in the week.
Zeke looked at her perfect breasts, stomach and thighs, and the honey pot she had between her legs, and he couldn't resist any longer. Throwing the bowl on the floor, he pulled Syd onto his lap and placed her on top of his dick. They both sighed with pleasure as she started moving up in down. She continued moving in slow motions and then she began to increase her pace. Zeke placed his hands on her hips to increase her momentum. He could feel her walls constricting around him so he flipped them over so that he could take the lead and pound inside of her. It didn’t take long for them to orgasm from the frantic lovemaking.
"That was-”
"Incredible," Zeke finished her statement, still breathing hard.
She giggled. "Now I need to rest."
When she fell asleep, Zeke gently removed himself from her body and went back throughout the house, locking up, and turning the lights off. He came back to bed, snuggled against Sydney, and succumbed to sleep as well.
Chapter Nine
A few weeks later, Sydney was disappointed at her doctor’s appointment. After missing her period, she was positive that she was pregnant. Doctor Miller was positive that she was not.
She took a urine test, and the results came out negative. Sydney then requested a blood test. She came into the doctor’s office for the results and once again, they were negative. It put a damper on her happiness. There wasn’t a baby inside of her, at least not yet.
She didn’t understand it. She and Zeke had been going at it like Viagra-induced rabbits. She didn’t mind his high stamina because she reaped all of the benefits from it. All of the rumors floating around Austin were true. Mr. Coleman knew how to put it down in the bedroom. Each time, he took her body to a new level and left her satisfied and craving for more. Zeke was a drug, and she was having withdrawals whenever she was away from him.
The only people that were aware of their arrangement were Sierra and Ethan. No other family members knew what was going on, but if things continued to progress, she had a feeling their secret would come out.
What initially started in the bedroom was beginning to drift into their day-to-day lives as well. She first noticed it when Zeke kissed her one day at lunch. It was a simple peck on the lips, but it wasn’t the norm for them. Then a few days later, he did it again when he came and visited her at the store. A few of her employees saw and were questioning if they were in a relationship. Her feelings for Zeke had evolved, and she wondered if his did as well.
“Keep trying, Sydney,” Dr. Miller stated, interrupting her thoughts. “You were on birth control for years. It could have affected your fertility.”
That worried her. “What if I can’t get pregnant?”
“Let’s not think negatively. It doesn’t happen right away for most women. Keep practicing with your partner. If months pass and there still isn’t a pregnancy, we’ll talk about other options.”

Zeke was suffering from a headache. It was a result of a tiny five-f
oot woman grilling him about his life. He pulled the phone from his ear and groaned. Thank goodness she was in another state and not in front of him.
“Zeke! Are you listening to me? You don’t call me anymore, and when I call you, you don’t answer. What’s going on with you?”
“Ma, I’ve been busy. I apologize. Work and Sydney have been taking up all of my time.”
His mother paused. “Sydney? Is something wrong? Is she alright?”
Zeke realized his mistake. He didn’t know how to explain to his mother that they were sleeping together to have a baby. She wouldn’t approve of their agreement. Pearl would probably have a heart attack and lecture him about his wrong choices. “Everything is fine.”
The door of his office opened, and the subject of their conversation appeared. Zeke noticed the solemn look on Sydney’s face. “I have to go.”
“Wait. When are you coming back to visit?”
“Never,” he playfully replied. He had plans to go back at the start of the summer.
“Zeke!”
“Goodbye, Ma.” He ended the call and went to her side. “What’s wrong?”
“I had an appointment, and we’re not pregnant.”
That was news to him. “Why didn’t you let me know? I would have come with you.”
She shrugged her shoulders. “I wanted to surprise you. I was hoping to tell you that we were expecting.”
Zeke gathered Sydney into his arms and brushed a kiss on the top of her head. “We’ll get there eventually. We’re going to have a beautiful baby soon. A daughter with your brown eyes and bowlegs.”
Sydney chuckled against his chest. “Or a lanky boy with your long arms and legs.”
“What about both?”
Sydney’s eyes went wide. “Twins?”
“My grandmother had a twin brother. It’s possible. We can have one of each.” He kissed her lips. Kissing her felt natural, he never wanted to stop. “You know what?” he whispered afterward.
“What?”
He slid his hand under her top and rubbed her bare skin. Sydney shivered from the brief contact. “I don’t have anything else on my schedule for today.”
“So.”
“So,” he mocked. “We can continue trying to make our baby.”
“Right here?”
“Right now,” Zeke opened his office door and yelled out to his secretary. “Hold all of my calls.”
Sydney was embarrassed. “Zeke. Everyone will know.”
He closed the door before picking Sydney up and settling her on his desk. “I don’t care.”

Sydney woke up late Saturday morning and felt the ache between her legs from the activities she and Zeke had shared the night before. Besides the faint pain, she felt fantastic and knew that if she looked in the mirror, she would be glowing.
The news of her not being pregnant was motivation for Zeke. Since finding out, they hadn’t spent a night separately this week. Either Zeke was inside her bed, or she was in his. And each night, he exhausted her body until she collapsed on the bed. One positive thing about not being pregnant was that they could keep trying.
Deciding to get up, she stretched her limbs, rolled over, and made contact with a piece of paper. She lifted it up and read the contents.
I went to get breakfast. Go back to sleep. - Zeke
Laughing at the fact that he was trying to boss her around, she put the paper back on the pillow, closed her eyes, and drifted back to sleep in Zeke’s bed.
The constant ringing of a phone woke her up a few minutes later. Her cell phone was in the living room in her purse, so she knew it wasn't hers. She looked around the room until she found Zeke's phone on the nightstand and answered it.
"Hello."
There was a pause and then a woman spoke. "Sydney?"
"Yes? Who am I speaking to?"
"It's me, Danielle," she responded. "How are you?"
Why is she calling Zeke's phone? They are broken up. "I'm great Danny, how are you?" Sydney asked politely.
"Terrific. Zeke and I are meeting tonight for dinner. I'm hoping we can get back together, Syd; I love him so much. Since you're practically his sister, can you find out where he's taking me? I want to make sure I look my best,” she asked in an excited manner.
Practically his sister. The words repeated in her head again. "Umm Danny, Zeke went out to get breakfast and left his phone at home by accident. I have to go, but I'll leave a note letting him know you called."
"Okay, goodbye Syd!" Danielle said before ending the call.
Sydney stared at the phone, confused. Is Zeke going out with Danielle tonight? What if they get back together? Where would that leave me?
Sydney considered Danielle a friend. Not a best friend, but still someone she liked. Now they were pining for the same man. She felt like a backstabbing slut.
So many thoughts were running through her mind, and she didn't know what to think, but she couldn't face Zeke right now. Making a quick decision, she got up and left his house before he returned.
Instead of going home to her apartment, Sydney decided to go to Sierra's. She knew that Zeke would come looking for her, and she didn't want to see him until she had her head straight. She didn't even shower before leaving, afraid that if she did, she would run into him on the way out. He had already called her twice while she was driving to the apartment complex.
Running inside of the building, she hopped on the elevator and rode it to her floor. When the doors opened, she ran down to Sierra's apartment and used her spare key to get in.
"Sierra?" Sydney called out while walking into the entranceway. No one answered, and Sierra wasn't in the kitchen or living area. Sydney kicked her shoes off and went towards the bedroom.
She found her sister in bed sleeping. "Sierra,” she whispered, tapping her on the shoulder.
"Go away," Sierra moaned turning over in bed.
Sydney pushed her shoulder this time. "I need to talk to you."
Sierra opened her eyes and stared at Sydney. "Why are you here? You should be making babies with Zeke."
Sydney sighed and crawled into bed with her sister. "That's why I need to talk to you."
Sierra yawned and sat up in bed. "What did he do?" She knew something was wrong since Sydney was there waking her up instead of at Zeke's.
Sydney huffed in frustration. "We had an incredible night and the sex with him was explosive.”
"Okay, the sex was good. Get on with why you're here and not with him," Sierra interrupted.
"I woke up in bed alone this morning. Zeke went to get breakfast and left his cell phone. When it started to ring, I answered it. Guess who it was?"
"The cookie monster," Sierra answered sarcastically.
Sydney ignored her sister's comment. "It was Danielle."
That pinged Sierra’s interest. "Danielle? I thought Zeke dumped her while you were in Louisiana," Sierra commented. Sydney told her about the trip when she’d returned home. Sierra had only met Danielle once at a party Zeke held. "I don't like her. She’s so uppity and shit. That hoe probably grew up in the projects.”
"I don't understand why no one likes her," Sydney replied rolling her eyes.
"I don't know why you do," Sierra returned. "Especially now. She's trying to get the man you love."
"He was hers first."
"Correction, he's been yours. You were just too stupid to realize that."
"They're meeting tonight. He didn’t tell me about it," Sydney said, getting a little upset.
Now Sierra was confused. "I need all the details of this little conversation you had with Danielle."
Sydney told Sierra about the conversation. Sierra listened intently, focusing on the things that Danielle had said to Sydney. "She did that shit on purpose, Syd.”
"You think so?"
"I know so. Why the fuck would her just volunteer that information to you? That hoe is trying to stir up trouble. She probably sees you as competition for Zeke. She purposely called you his si
ster to put you in your place."
"He would probably pick her."
Sierra grabbed a pillow and smacked Sydney over the head with it. "Get some confidence. There's no competition, because he would pick you."
Sydney didn't believe that. The main complaint Zeke had about Danielle was that she didn't want kids. What if she changed her mind? Would he get back together with her then?
"You should just tell him you love him Syd, and stop playing games. You two make my fuckin’ head hurt."
"I'm not going to admit my feelings and risk being rejected."
"So what do you plan on doing?" Sierra asked.
"If he wants to date, then I will too."
"You're stupid," Sierra stated plainly, and obviously Zeke was too, if he saw Danielle again.
Mind made up, Sydney jumped out of the bed. "I'm going to take a shower, and then I'm finding a date for tonight."
"So you came from his bed to mine? Get your funky ass out of here. I knew I smelled something funny. Can't believe you came in here smelling like dick and pussy," Sierra said, pushing Sydney away towards the bathroom.
≈
Sierra waited to hear the shower and then grabbed her cell phone. She searched through her contacts until the name she was looking for popped up. Hitting the green button, she made the call and waited for an answer.
"Sierra Sierra Sierra.”
She rolled her eyes upward, maybe it was a mistake calling him. "Listen, Ethan, I need your help," she stated in a no-nonsense manner. She didn't have time to play games with him.
Ethan sighed dramatically before answering. "Sierra I can't give you the dick from over the phone. When I come back to Texas, we'll set something up. Daddy will give you whatever you need."
"No one wants your little dick, Ethan," Sierra returned. "I like men, not little boys."
"You're only a few years older than me," Ethan reminded her. His age was always her excuse to not pursue anything with him. They were both adults, and that's all that mattered to Ethan.
"Exactly, I like older, more established men. You and I would never work, so there isn't a point to even start anything."
"One day I'm going to get you, Sierra. You wait and see."
