From time to time Olivia would still catch Frankie staring at her ring and smiling. It was in those moments she knew exactly how she felt; they shared so much love for one another. And every day they created more that was meant for the kids they’d raise together someday.

And now, six months later here they were on the last load about to move into the house where they shared their first kiss, where they made love for the first time, and where together had designed a home.

“Do we have to start unpacking today?” Frankie asked.

“Do you really think I can sit around with all those boxes staring at me and not unpack a few?”

“Of course you can’t,” she said chuckling.

“I know you’re tired. So am I, but we have to at least make a path to the bed,” she said looking at Frankie as she turned into the subdivision.

“Well, I can help with that.” They both chuckled.

As they drove down the street, “Never did I imagine when I started this job in this subdivision that I would live here.

Frankie smiled, “The first time I rode through this subdivision I could see me living here. I just had to find the right architect. And let me say,” she said reaching for Olivia’s hand. “That you have built the perfect life for us.”

Olivia kissed the back of Frankie’s hand. She looked up as they drove in the driveway, “What’s this?”

They got out of the car, Frankie came around and arm in arm they looked at the porch. Under a banner that said “Welcome Home” were Stella and Jenna on one side waving and Desi, Sofia, and Lucy on the other.

They turned in one another’s arms and with tears in her eyes, Frankie said, “We’re home.”
