Irresistible Driver ~ A BWWM Sexy Romance Page 18

by Stella Eromonsere-Ajanaku

Excited for their grandaunt to have her own happy ending, Amaka and Nonso escorted Grandy to Rob’s mansion frequently at the older woman’s insistence.

Completely in awe of Grandy Aduni’s sharp sense of humour, warmth and love, Rob showered her with many gifts, including bouquet of Roses, jewellery, designer clothes and handbags. For her birthday, Rob bought Grandy a black 2019 Jaguar E-PACE P250 S.

Laughing as tears spilled down her cheeks, Grandy cried out. “I don’t remember how to drive, Rob!”

“I’ll teach you,” Rob comforted, throwing his hands around her round shoulders.

Maxwell, Lola and their children hugged Grandy in turn. They kissed her cheeks and assured her she deserved all the happiness in the world.

“If there’s one person who needs to find love, it’s you, Grandy,” Lola gushed.

That evening, Rob took Grandy out in the car and they drove off into the sunset with joy in their hearts.

After their relocation to Miami Beach, Maxwell and his family visited their Banana Island home in Lagos, Nigeria every year when Amaka and Nonso were on summer holiday.

Lola finally completed her former number one project in Nigeria and rented her three-bedroom bungalow to Mama Bola, their former neighbour and Grandy’s friend who loved to gossip.

Maxwell also rented out his second apartment on Banana Island via real estate agents he trusted.

When Michaela clocked two and Maxwell was turning forty, Lola encouraged and insisted her husband reached out to his estranged father, Elliot Legend.

The sixty-five-year-old business tycoon was thrilled to meet Maxwell’s family. At their first meeting, Elliot acknowledged to his entire family that he had abandoned Maxwell and his mother because he had been a selfish, arrogant fool. He then apologized to Maxwell for his foolishness and thanked Lola for initiating the reconciliation.

“But I don’t want to miss out on my grandchildren’s upbringing anymore,” Elliot announced, embracing Amaka and Nonso while he cuddled adorable Michaela in his arms.

His wife, Annie reached for Michaela and cooed to her. The two-year old tugged Annie’s earring and necklace as she babbled.

“Dad, everything is forgiven,” Maxwell responded with a grin. “God healed me from the first day I met my wife. She has brought light and happiness and love into my life. I can no longer hold on to a grudge.”

The two men embraced each other for the first time in decades. Then, Elliot stretched out his hand to Lola. When she arrived at his side, he pulled her into his arms.

“I don’t know what you did to my son, Lola. He was a replica of me. Arrogant, selfish and stubborn. But I’m very grateful to you for changing him and for bringing him back to me.”

Lola smiled. “It’s not me, sir. I can’t take the glory. God did the miracle on Maxwell. He’s a Christian now. The light of Jesus Christ shines in him.”

  “Call me, Elliot,” he insisted.

Then he faced his son. “Maxwell, you’ve got yourself a very modest and beautiful woman.”

Again, he turned his attention to Lola. “I’ll love to meet this, Jesus Christ who has changed my son into a better man than me.”

Grandy and the twins clapped in approval.

“Come with us to church on Sunday and you’ll hear and learn about our saviour, Jesus Christ who died for our sins to save the world from condemnation and to give us eternal life,” Lola encouraged with a wide grin.

Elliot turned to his son. “You go to church, now?”

Maxwell laughed. “Yeah, Dad! I love it. We’ve got a great community there. You’ll love it too, I’m sure.”

“Then we’ll be there on Sunday. Annie? Are you with me on this?” Elliot gestured to his wife.

“I won’t be left out,” Annie grinned blowing small kisses on Michaela’s chubby cheeks. “What time is the service?”

“It’s ten in the morning,” Lola answered, ecstatic the first meeting with her father-in-law turned out amazing.

Before they arrived, she had not expected much. But it seemed God had gone ahead to prepare Elliot’s heart. Halleluyah!

Within a period of six months, Elliot, his forty-five-year-old wife, Annie and nineteen-year old daughter, Sharon interacted more with Maxwell’s family. A college sophomore, Sharon lived away from home, but she kept in touch with her whole family via WhatsApp and Skype.

During this period, Rob Kelson and Grandy Aduni got engaged.

Amaka and Nonso squealed with happiness. Maxwell and Lola were so pleased, they threw the older couple an engagement party the following weekend. Elliot and Annie Legend were on hand to co-host the party. They invited family and friends and it turned out to be a remarkable event.

Shortly after that, Elliot Legend bought a five-bedroom house on the same street as Maxwell in Miami Beach. He told anyone who cared to listen he needed to get more involved in his grandchildren’s lives, adding that he did not want to waste precious time away from them.

After their small wedding a few months later, Grandy Aduni moved in next door with Rob Kelson.

Amaka, Nonso and Michaela grew up loved and pampered by their extended family. Maxwell’s dad and step mum took turns to care for their grandchildren.

Lola and Maxwell took advantage of the kids’ regular absences and went out on weekly dates. While they were out, they often sneaked into quiet spots to have quickie sex. It was their recipe to rekindle their love life and it worked like wild fire.

At the moment, they had just ended their dinner date at a high-end restaurant in Miami Beach area. Feeling frisky, Maxwell pulled his wife into a little-used cloakroom at the back.

Moaning softly, Lola stripped off her thongs. Maxwell unzipped his tailored pants and pulled down his boxer briefs. He pushed one hand under his wife’s evening dress to grab her breast–sheathed in a lacy bra–and pinned her against the wall with his other hand.

“I love you, my cupcake,” he grunted, lunging his erection inside her wet heat.

They both groaned hard as tremendous pleasure broke out inside them and between their skin.

Gyrating his hips fast and diving deeper, Maxwell fucked his wife until both of them trembled on their feet as powdered steam exploded through their bodies.

Dazed by the intense orgasm, Lola leaned against her husband’s chest. His strong arms surrounded her limp body. He kissed her neck, tasting her skin.

“I love you more every day, my sausage roll, especially when you fuck me in dark corners.”

  They both laughed.

Maxwell caressed her lips and pressed his forehead against hers.

“I’ll always drag you into dark places for a quickie, my cupcake.”

Maxwell’s friend, Joe Ossai married his American girlfriend, Emma in Chicago, Illinois a few months later. Maxwell and his family attended the wedding ceremony. In fact, Amaka and Nonso were included in the wedding party as flower girl and page boy respectively.

When the twins were fourteen-years-old and Michaela was four, Maxwell and Lola discussed whether, or not to have more children. Aged thirty-six now, Lola reckoned if her husband wanted more kids, now was the time to have the last one.

Cupping his wife’s face with both hands, Maxwell kissed her passionately and declared.

“No more kids, Mrs. Lola Legend. We’ve got three beautiful and blessed children. We’re done.”

Relief surged through her. She had put off asking the question for months.

“Thank God!” She sighed against his mouth. “I want to sit back to enjoy raising our three lovely blessings with you. I want to grow old with you sitting on this porch swing, drinking iced tea.”

Pressing his lips to hers, Maxwell scooped his wife into his arms.

They lived with their three kids and with Grandy next door, happy and full of love.

Five months down the road, Lola found out she was pregnant!

All the quickie corner sex finally added up.

After the shock of the surprise news wore out, the whol
e family began planning for the arrival of the new baby.

The following weekend, they had a barbecue garden party at Elliot and Annie’s home.

“Boy, or girl?” Elliot asked the family, grinning. “I want to bet a thousand dollars it’s a girl. Annie what’s your guess?”

His wife shrugged. “Two hundred dollars it’s a boy. I’ve got a hunch.”

Grandy shook her head. “Amaka and Nonso, go and get us some salt and pepper. Adults are gambling. I don’t support gambling.”

The twin teenagers grumbled under their breath as they rushed to carry out their grandaunt’s instruction.

“Why can’t we join in the fun?” Nonso murmured when they stepped inside the kitchen. “We’re almost adults.”

“Because we don’t have money to throw out. And we’re not adults until we turn eighteen. I don’t want to waste my allowance on gambling,” Amaka countered, scowling.

“Maybe we can bet five dollars. Just you and me?” Nonso suggested.

Grinning, Amaka nodded. “Fine. I think mum’s having a baby boy. We’ll be two boys and two girls. I’m willing to bet one dollar.”

“I think it’s a baby girl. How can you bet one dollar? That’s nothing! Five dollars at least.”

“Bet your own five dollars, Nonso. Grandy taught me to be cautious. No one knows the gender of the baby. We’re only guessing, so why will I throw my money away?”

“That doesn’t make sense!” Nonso protested. “It’s a game. So, you want me to bet five dollars and you’ll bet one dollar?”

  “Um-hmm.”

“Oh, so you’ll gain five times more.”

“Because I’ve got common sense and you don’t!” Amaka jeered, sticking out her tongue.

Nonso chased his sister around the large living room while the adults carried on arguing about the sex of the baby in the garden.

“Maxwell?” Elliot prodded. “Bet. Boy, or girl?”

Grinning, Maxwell dipped his head and caressed Lola’s lips with his own. “Are we doing this?”

Lola laughed. “Yes. Let’s humour your dad.”

Nodding, Maxwell stood up to his dad. “I think my beautiful wife is going to have a baby boy.”

“Okay. Put your money where your mouth is,” his step mum and dad chorused, laughing.

  “A thousand dollars,” Maxwell wagered.

“And Lola?” Annie probed. “Boy, or girl?”

“I’m the pregnant mum,” Lola declined, waving one hand. “I don’t need to stake anything. Carrying the baby is enough. By the way, I’ll collect money from the losers as well.”

  Everyone laughed.

“Wait, so we’re clear, you stake nothing, but you receive a reward?” Elliot asked with a wide grin.

“Yes. Carrying a baby is hard work. Explain to him, Annie.”

“Of course, it is, Lola,” Annie agreed, rolling her eyes to Michaela who was giggling a lot.

“By God’s grace when I go through the pain of labour and I give birth to a boy, you’ll lose, Dad and you’ll pay me two thousand dollars.”

It was the first time Lola called Elliot, Dad.

  Everyone stilled for several moments.

It was Elliot who broke the silence. He launched forward and dropped a peck on Lola’s temple, muttering an emotional.

  “Thank you, daughter.”

Maxwell then tugged his wife to her feet and hugged her tight before capturing her lips with his own. “You’re an amazing woman,” he complimented, rubbing his nose along her cheek. “How did I get so lucky?”

“I’m the favoured one,” Lola countered, laughing.

“Why two thousand dollars payback, daughter? I only bet half of that,” Elliot complained after Maxwell released Lola’s lips.

“That’s for gambling about a precious gift from God. I call it double punishment for the losers.”

“Okay. Sounds fair,” Elliot agreed. “Annie? Help me out here.”

His wife smiled. “Nothing I can do, Elliot. You walked straight into that trap with your eyes open.”

Thirty-nine weeks later, Lola gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Maxwell and Lola named their gorgeous new born, DeAnthony Araoluwakiitan Legend.

The main loser of the bet, Elliot paid up two thousand dollars in cash to Lola. Nonso also paid five dollars to his twin sister who took pleasure in mocking him for his folly. With his nose twisted out of joint, Nonso promised himself he would never gamble again.

  Exhausted from her ten-hour labour pain, Lola grinned as her family sang the first verse of her favourite hymn to honour God for the safe delivery of DeAnthony;

“Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!

O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!

  All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;

  Sing now in glad adoration!”

Beaming through her weariness, Lola clung onto her husband’s fingers. “My sausage roll, this lifetime isn’t enough to show you how much I love you,” she admitted as her heart sang with pure love.

“Our love will remain ever new, my stunning cupcake. My body, my heart and my soul will love you forever and ever, Mrs. Lola Stephanie Legend.”

She arched her neck and he met her mouth with his lips. They poured into that kiss every loving word they still needed to say.

Standing in front of his entire family, Maxwell folded his wife in a warm hug that lasted forever.
