Rising Sun (The Awakened Trilogy Book 3) Page 30

by Amanda Carol

“Give me a few to recharge. I am so not finished with you yet,” he whispers, grabbing my left hand and brushing a kiss on my ring finger.

Our eyes lock, but then his gaze flicks down to my lips… Oops, I must be biting it again.

He clenches his jaw as he stands, turning off the TV and then grabbing me, throwing me over his shoulder, and taking us upstairs to our room. Part of me wants to laugh, but the other part loves it when he takes control.

I wanted passion, and I definitely got it with Declan.

Most importantly, I’m getting to go on a lifelong adventure with the love of my life and our new adoptive daughter.

I know that after each book, I always thank YOU, the reader. And each time, I mean it. If you have made it this far, thank you! I’m glad that you saw Hunter and Aria’s story through to the very end! Or rather, their new beginning. It was bittersweet writing their epilogue; however, I do believe we will still be seeing them in other books. Who knows, maybe you’ll get invited to a wedding…or two? From the bottom of my heart, thank you, for taking a chance on my books and on me.

To Stefanie: The lady who collects my tears while I collect hers. Thank you for letting me bring Dani, Kyler, Zach, and Haylee to New Orleans. Words cannot express how much your friendship means to me. I can’t thank you enough for all that you have done for me, and this book. You’ve always believed in me and this story, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you for all the slap gifs, love gifs, and “fans self” gifs, but most importantly, thank you for being the Jared to my Jensen. (PS, Declan loves you)

To Katey: Rising Sun (and the whole trilogy) would not be where it would without you. All our late-night plotting talks about Greek Gods and everything that comes with it, made this story what it was. I know, I know, I can hear your voice in my head, “it was all you, Amanda.” Maybe, but I couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for not only being an Alpha reader, but also proofreading this as well. And if I hadn’t told you today; I love you, Moose. Love always-Squirrel.

To AudioShelf (Brad & Britney): Thank you for always supporting me and featuring my books in your videos and posts on Instagram and BookTube channel (check them out on Instagram @audioshelfme). I’m really glad that we were introduced by a mutual friend and became fast friends. You make me cry tears of laughter, and always brighten up my day. I’m grateful for having you both in my world, and I can’t wait to bring the character “Bradley” to life.

To my family: Did you think that I would forget you? Not a chance! I’m incredibly blessed to have a family like you. I couldn’t have done this without your love, support, and overall eagerness to read my words. I love how excited and proud you are of me. It helps me to continue to do what I love.

To Lenka, Clara, and Carmen: You ladies always bring to life my vision, whether it’s the cover, the format, or the editing. I seriously cannot thank you ladies enough for always going above and beyond to make my book babies shine!

To Deb and Pat: Thank you for loving this story as much as you do. Thank you for being excited and keeping me focused on getting those words out. You took the time to help me out when I was in a pinch and for that, I’m forever grateful!

To Kat: Thank you for all your beautiful collages from The Awakened all the way up to Rising Sun. I seriously love all of the creative work that you do for not only me, but for all the other authors out there. I’m super excited for everyone to see the beautiful video you created for the trilogy. I seriously cannot thank you enough for everything that you do. You’re wonderful!

Lastly, my reader group: This will always go without saying. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We may be small, but we’re mighty! All your support means that I can keep doing what I love and giving you all the stories! There’s plenty more in me to tell, just look at the coming soon selection! You guys are amazing and please don’t ever stop being you!
