The cave sat in the face of Black Mountains.

The legend surrounding the cave went that a long time ago a demon came to Yaella and Zandra's village. Wearing the form of human and started to devour the villagers soon after it had arrived. The elders of the village summoned No-La, who was a distant relative of Yaella.

No-La prepared a purification rite with which he blessed the village and its meager people. The monster, infuriated at no longer having a pure food source, went after the object of its misfortune, the nemesis No-La, to kill him and eat his soul, bring him to the fury of its justice. But No-La was wise. He journeyed to the cave in the face of the mountains within which was housed a sacred rock. No-La carved a dagger from the rock and waited. The demon followed No-La to the cave in hopes of killing him, but No-La had set a trap for the demon and following a brief confrontation, No-La escaped the cave. He waited at the mouth of the cave as the demon ran towards him trying to escape but when he approached No-La plugged the stone dagger in the demon's heart, killing it. The demon's body fell apart and No-La, a victor of yet another conquest of many, returned to the village.
