“Become a ghost? That can only happen if you even get the chance to!”

Meng Lei sneered. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure that your divine spirit dissipates. By then, you won’t even get to become a ghost, not to mention taking any revenge!”

Ambrose was shaking as chills coursed down his spine. If it were anyone else, they would probably show mercy due to his status.

  Yet, as for Meng Lei...

Ambrose was not confident with that at all!

“What, are you scared?” Meng Lei chuckled. “I did not expect an elder of the Haber Colossal Dragon Gods to be afraid of something now!”

“You... What do you really want?” bellowed Ambrose. He felt an immense feeling of shame and frustration.

“Nothing much, just some questions!” Meng Lei continued. “Are you full of desperation? Full of fear? Full of frustrations? Full of regret at what you did once upon a time?”

It was what Ambrose had said before, which Meng Lei returned back to him word for word! Resentment and hatred brewed within Ambrose upon hearing those words!

“Why? Why aren’t you talking? Playing dead now?” Meng Lei raised an eyebrow. “Do you believe me when I say that I’ll make sure you die a complete death?”

  Complete death?

Ambrose shivered and roared, “Sir! I’m an elder of the Haber Colossal Dragon Gods. You can’t do this to me!”

At this point, there was nothing he could do other than an attempt to use the name and prestige of the Haber Colossal Dragon Gods to intimidate Meng Lei. He hoped that Meng Lei would become daunted by that name and let him off. Ambrose could not care about maintaining his prestige anymore.

“Using the name of the Haber Colossal Dragon Gods to intimidate me?” Meng Lei shook his head. “If I remember correctly, I think I killed a bunch of Titans along with the leader. He was called Gregg Theodore!”

  “You killed Gregg?!”

A huge jolt went through Ambrose’s body.

“Of course I did,” Meng Lei said dispassionately.

  “Lunatic! You’re a lunatic!”

Ambrose’s voice became hoarse. “Gregg was the child of Lord Gaianos! He’ll never, ever let you off!”

  “Gaianos?”

Meng Lei had assimilated Gregg’s memory, and thus he knew who Gaianos was—the only Great Perfection-level higher deity of the Theodore Titan Gods.

  Great Perfection!

The existence that was even rarer than Chief Gods!

Although most of the Great Perfection-level higher deities were still weaker than Chief Gods, their status, social standing, and deterrence were no less inferior to Chief God

As Gaianos Theodore’s child, Gregg Theodore had a venerable status among the Theodore Titan Gods.

To Ambrose, the audacity of Meng Lei killing Gregg was beyond his understanding!

“Meng Lei, you’ve offended the Theodore Titan Gods. So don’t mess with us Haber Colossal Dragon Gods!” Ambrose’s voice was deep. “Or else, you’ll never be able to endure the wrath of both the Theodore Titan Gods and our Haber Colossal Dragon Gods!”

“Offending one is an offense. Offending two only means another offense. Where’s the big difference?” Meng Lei shook his head a little and continued. “Well, since it’s enough talking from you, it’s time to go!”

Ambrose shivered all over as he cried out loudly, “What do you want? You can’t kill me! I’m the elder of the Haber Colossal Dragon Gods! If you dare kill me, they won’t let you off the hook at all!”

“Your time has come, and you won’t be alone!”

Meng Lei took out the Grim Reaper Scythe. Ambrose screamed in extreme horror in the face of death—Meng Lei was about to slice off his head!

At this moment, he saw the Lava Goddess and her party not far away, so he cried for help, “Eugina, save me! Diana, help me!”

  “What’s this...”

A group of goddesses flew over hurriedly.

The Lava Goddess frowned. “Mister, Ambrose is still the elder of the Haber Colossal Dragon Gods. You can’t kill him as you won’t be able to bear the consequences!” she said.

“So are you pleading for mercy on his behalf?”

  Meng Lei raised an eyebrow.

The Lava Goddess yelled coldly, “This isn’t an appeal, but a warning!”

“You’re warning me? Who do you think you are?” Meng Lei swept a glance at her before he said coldly, “Get lost! Such an eyesore!”

  “Insolence!”

  The Lava Goddess was enraged.

“What’s your issue? You want to die too?”

Meng Lei appeared in front of the Lava Goddess while the Grim Reaper Scythe was already up against her snowy-white neck. He could slice off her head anytime.

  “You bastard!”

“Let go of the Lava Goddess at once!”

  “Meng Lei, please don’t!”

The goddesses erupted into a frenzy instantly.

“Meng Lei, please don’t harm the Lava Goddess!” pleaded the Fairy Goddess.

“Fine! For the Fairy Goddess’s sake, I won’t kill you. Now get lost!”

Meng Lei let out a cold snort before punching the Lava Goddess’ abdomen. Blood spurted madly out of her mouth while the Lava Goddess flew backward as if she got struck by thunder.

Immediately after, Meng Lei raised the scythe and swung it down, beheading Ambrose!

Chapter 352: Wood-Origin Divine Body, The Ancient Tree of Life

As a great expert at the high-level higher deity stage and an elder of the Haber Colossal Dragon Gods, Ambrose enjoyed extremely revered status in the Thunderbolt Divine Realm.

For people like him, they were usually the ones taking others’ lives. Who would dare to take his life?

Yet someone had beheaded him and slain him on the spot, giving him an extremely terrible death!

The sight was honestly as though a superbly huge earthquake that erupted with a great boom in the goddesses’ hearts, causing their faces to turn pale from tremendous shock and horror.

Just how bold and audacious must he be in order for him to do the absolutely forbidden and slay Ambrose?

  Inconceivable!

  Unbelievable!

  Unacceptable!

Yet Meng Lei, the person involved himself, was acting as though he had done something that wasn’t even worth mentioning. He gouged out Ambrose’s divine core, destroyed his divine spirit, scanned through his spatial ring, collected his Dragon carcass... He did all these so calmly that it was almost perverse!

  “A lunatic! He’s a total lunatic!”

The goddesses were screaming madly inwardly when they suddenly noticed Meng Lei walking over to them at this point. All of their expressions changed at once, and they instinctively retreated a few steps.

  “W-what do you want?”

The Ocean Goddess’ voice trembled as she asked.

“Don’t be afraid. I just want to speak to the Fairy Goddess,” replied Meng Lei as he motioned to them to calm down. Then, he turned to the Fairy Goddess and said with a smile, “Your Holiness, I’m very happy to have run into you here!”

  “Yes!”

The Fairy Goddess had a complex look in her eyes.

“I haven’t had the opportunity to thank you for giving me Heaven’s Vault Continent’s Heart of The Existential Plane yet. Please excuse me for that.”

With an apologetic smile on his face, Meng Lei then took out a piece of green armor and a green sword. He said, “As a token of my gratitude, you can have these weapons.”

The green armor was forged from exotic mutant beasts’ scales and gave off a strong life force, while the sword gave off a heart-pounding chill.

Although the Fairy Goddess couldn’t tell what grade the divine weapons were, she could nevertheless sense that both of them, no matter which, were more precious and valuable than all the ones she owned.

  “No, these are too precious.”

The Fairy Goddess shook her head repeatedly and declined them firmly. She
said, “It’s just a mere existential plane and cannot compare in any way to these divine weapons at all. I can’t accept them.”

At the sight of her firm and resolute expression that brooked no refusal, Meng Lei had no choice but to keep the divine weapons away.

The Fairy Goddess heaved a sigh of relief. Then, the puzzled goddess asked, “Why are you in this place?”

“I found a space-time rift in Light Continent that was directly connected to another existential plane. After I arrived at that existential plane, I got to know of the Boundless Plane and its related matters, so I came over after that,” explained a smiling Meng Lei.

  “I see.”

The Fairy Goddess nodded slightly. She had a somewhat complex look on her countenance as she said, “Your speed of improvement is simply too fast. If memory serves me right, you’re only 25-years-old, right?”

  -years-old?

  Seriously?

A huge jolt went through the other goddesses upon hearing the Fairy Goddess’ words, and looks of incredulity adorned their faces. Which among them hadn’t had to cultivate for a few million years before they became higher deities?

And yet that guy... was only 25-years-old?

What kind of joke was that?

However, what gave them a mental breakdown next was that Meng Lei actually acknowledged it. He replied, “I’ve just turned 25, I guess.”

  Hiss!

The goddesses gasped sharply at once. In particular, the Lava Goddess’ face even flushed red.

I’ve been defeated by a little brat who’s only 25-years-old?

“To think you’re already this strong when you’re only 25 years old! I really don’t know how you managed to do it!”

The Fairy Goddess chuckled wryly, feeling as though she had lived her life in vain.

“To tell the truth, even as of now, I actually haven’t deified yet,” Meng Lei rubbed his nose and said, “My physical body is just a little stronger than most, that’s all.”

“You haven’t deified yet? How can that be?”

A huge shudder went through the goddesses again. However, the Fairy Goddess instead replied, “You haven’t deified yet? I’d thought that you would choose to do it.”

  “No, I didn’t.”

  Meng Lei shook his head.

The goddesses didn’t know what to say anymore. He was already this strong when he hadn’t even deified yet? How the heck did he exactly cultivate?

Was he cultivating his divine body instead?

  Oh my goodness!

Was there anyone who didn’t know that it was a million times harder for one to cultivate their divine body than to comprehend and fuse laws of nature?

In any case, Meng Lei had astounded the whole group of goddesses. They felt as if they were dreaming.

“I knew you were a strange one the moment I took notice of you back then. Little did I expect that you’d be even more of a monster than what you had shown in the past, though!”

The Fairy Goddess could only chuckle wryly. “What are your plans now? Are you going to explore the Boundless Plane?”

“I’m just here to have fun,” replied a smiling Meng Lei with a nod.

Then, he suddenly said rather embarrassedly, “Your Holiness, I have a favor to ask of you. I hope you can fulfill it for me.”

The Fairy Goddess was taken aback for a moment before she replied, “Tell me about it.”

“I’d like a drop of your blood!”

Meng Lei’s eyes shone brightly as he spoke with a look of anticipation. The Fairy Goddess had a wood-origin divine body. Since he’d bumped into her today, he couldn’t pass up the opportunity, of course.

“What do you want my blood for?”

  The Fairy Goddess was bewildered.

“I have great use for it!”

Meng Lei feigned a mysterious smile and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t take it for free.”

  “Alright, I guess!”

Although the Fairy Goddess was puzzled and confused, it was just a drop of blood anyway. It wasn’t a big deal.

Meng Lei brought out three divine weapons after he took the drop of blood from her. Apart from the armor and sword from just now, there was also a ring that gave off divine spirit energy waves.

“These three divine weapons come as a set. One defends against physical attacks, one defends the divine spirit, and the last one is an offensive weapon. Additionally, they are all high-tier higher deity-level divine weapons.”

A set of three high-tier higher deity-level divine weapons!

The expressions on all the goddesses’ countenances changed at once. Their eyes, as they gazed at the set of three divine weapons, were filled with a huge sense of astoundment. After all, a set of high-tier higher deity-level divine weapons was comparable to a Great Perfection-level divine weapon!

  It was invaluable!

“No, these are too precious. I can’t take them!” The Fairy Goddess declined the gifts.

“Your blood is very important to me. It’s worth much more than just three divine weapons.”

Meng Lei brooked no refusal. He teleported and left immediately after stuffing the three divine weapons into the Fairy Goddess’ arms. Now that he had gotten his hands on the blood, it was time to plunder the wood-origin divine body!

  “Meng Lei!”

The Fairy Goddess called out to him twice, but Meng Lei was already nowhere in sight a long time ago. She stared at the divine weapons—it didn’t feel right no matter whether she took them or left them, and she felt rather troubled for a moment there.

“Just take them for now, Diana.”

  The Lava Goddess sighed.

  “Alright, I guess!”

The Fairy Goddess shook her head slightly and kept the three divine weapons away.

“Who exactly is that guy, Diana?”

“Is he really not even 25 yet, Diana?”

“He’s so nice to you, Diana. Is he interested in you...”

The goddesses surrounded the Fairy Goddess right away and peppered her with questions noisily.

  “It’s not what you’re imagining...”

  ...

Somewhere 10 million kilometers away, Meng Lei had already given the plundering order a long time ago.

“Ding! Plunder successful. Will you assimilate it?”

  “Assimilate it!”

  Whoosh!

Rich wood-elemental Power of Origin surged and spread into every part of Meng Lei’s body, including his limbs and every nook and cranny...

The assimilation process came to an end half an hour later.

Meng Lei balled up his fists. His physical strength had become greater, and his defenses stronger. His life force had also become more vigorous, and his cells even more active.

Upon looking at his stats interface, what Meng Lei didn’t expect to see was that two of his attributes had changed.

His Ancient Tree of Life assimilation rate had risen by 10% and gone from 26% to 36%—this had come unexpectedly to Meng Lei.

However, it wasn’t hard to understand why.

The Ancient Tree of Life bloodline was ultimately a botanical bloodline. It was completely within logic and reason that assimilating the wood-origin divine body would end up increasing the bloodline’s assimilation rate.

The second change was in his Physical Body Constitution attribute.

Physical Body Constitution: Metal-Origin Divine Body (Great Mastery), Wood-Origin Divine Body (1%)

This particular change didn’t come as much as a surprise, though.

“1% assimilation rate? System, raise it to 100%!” Meng Lei ordered.

  Whoosh!

His Wealth decreased by 100 million Divinity Crystals.

A strong, torrential surge of wood-elemental Power of Origin immediately erupted from him. It gave off rich life force, causing the plants around him to grow in a frenzy as if they had been injected with steroids.

A look at Meng Lei again revealed a green glow circling around him. Wood-elemental P
ower of Origin fused into his cells in a frenzy, flowing into his limbs and every corner of his body.

That was what it looked like from a macroscopic view.

From a microscopic view, the golden cells—that had previously been fully formed from metal-elemental Power of Origin—were currently gradually vacating half the space they had taken up and allowing a green color to take over!

Like a bi-colored billiard ball covered in gold and green, each cell was half-golden and half-green in color.

The colors were like gold, yet not gold; like green, yet not green.

They brimmed with a sharp aura of slaughter yet also emanated a rich sense of vitality.

Meng Lei reached out his palm, upon which two bunches of flames manifested. One was golden in color, and the other was green in color.

The aura around them was completely different from each other—the former was sharp and deadly while the latter was filled with life and vitality.

Additionally, following Meng Lei’s mental command, the two bunches of flames safely and successfully fused together. Half of it was golden, and half of it was green; it was sharp and deadly, yet also full of life and vitality.

“It seems like it’s become even mightier!”

Meng Lei casually extinguished the Netherworld Divine Fire and looked at his stats interface again—the Ancient Tree of Life bloodline assimilation rate had increased again. This time, it had increased by a whole 30% and gone from 36% to 66%.

What an astonishing increase this was!

One must know that because the Ancient Tree of Life bloodline was an Ancient God Bloodline, boosting it by every 1% required 100 million Divinity Crystals. Now that it had increased by 30%, this meant that Meng Lei had managed to save 3 billion Divinity Crystals!

What a huge bargain that was!

“I feel like my divine body has also strengthened greatly. I wonder how far it has gone?”

A puzzled Meng Lei asked, “System, how much does it cost to enhance my divine body?”

“Ding! The host’s divine body is currently on par with that of a high-level higher deity’s and will rival that of a Great Perfection-level higher deity’s after enhancement. Enhancement cost is estimated at 4 billion Divinity Crystals,” replied the system coldly.
