“Nigga I ain’t trying to go there with you but you need to chill the fuck out before you go in there. You already did enough. We can do this my way or I can call Ma and have her come over here, that’s on you.” I looked him straight in the fucking eye. After a minute or two, his demeanor relaxed a bit and he fell back.
“Fucking snitch.”
“Call me what the fuck you want but that was some bitch shit. You know we don’t do that.” I yelled at him. “You know that girl loves yo’ dumb ass and would never do no shit like that.”
“I fucked up.”
“You got damn right you did and you need to let her cool the fuck down and then y’all talk.” I suggested.
“She can cool down but she ain’t leaving this house. When we made this shit official that was it, there is no way out.” He sent a soft threat that Jenacia heard because she had just come out the door. “Baby I’m sorry please just listen to me, please can we talk about this?” He begged and I swear I wanted to pull out my got damn phone and take a muthafucking picture so I could have fucking proof. Kayson fucking Barnes is pulling a fucking Keith Sweat move. “I was in a bad space when I saw the picture.”
“But you know me!” Jenacia yelled. “You know I would never be on no shit like that.”
“I know baby but—”
“Fuck that, no buts nigga.” She hit him with his favorite line and I put my fist over my mouth to keep from clowning that nigga. I did notice that she didn’t have any bags with her. “Then you gonna talk about all the shit you do for me when I didn’t ask for any of this.” She waved her hands around like a mad woman.
“I know, I know I was wrong.”
“Yeah but this is how shit gonna play out.” She wiped her face and looked at that nigga. “I’m leaving because you don’t deserve half the shit I do for YOU!” She pointed at him. “I’m moving in with Zemia until I find my own place which I’m sure won’t take long.”
“You ain’t going no muthafucking where.” Kayson had to open his big mouth.
“You wanna fucking bet?” She said and walked up on him and Kayson just stood there I wanted to clap so bad, somebody was finally putting him in his place.
“Can we just go inside and talk please.” He begged.
“It ain’t gonna change shit but we can.” She turned to walk in the house.
I was finally able to release the laugh that I had been holding in and I wasn’t surprised when Jaako joined in.
“Yo I ain’t never letting that nigga live this down.” Jaako said between laughs.
“Man, I wished I could have recorded that shit.”
“I got ya bruh.” Jaako smiled and we dapped up.
“So y’all laughing because he cares enough about his woman to beg.” Zemia asked with her face scrunched up.
“Nah it ain’t even like that, to know Kayson is to know that whether that nigga right or wrong he ain’t apologizing for shit and he don’t let no one tell him what to fucking do.” I laughed.
“And he damn sure don’t let muthafuckas talk to him like that, like for real he’s killed people for a lot less.” Jaako added.
“That nigga is fucking unbalanced like a muthafucka but I can tell you one thing, he loves the shit out of her because she just broke all his rules.” I smiled because I was happy that nigga finally found that one.
We sat out there and talked and looked at the video that Jaako had on his phone for about thirty minutes before Kayson came out. I couldn’t tell if shit was good or bad.
“Aye Z listen.” He walked over to Zemia who twisted up her lips. “Chill here with her for a minute.”
“Why should I?”
“Man please, I can’t let her leave and we gotta make a move real quick.”
“Ah shit I forgot about Unc.” I said looking at my watch and we were late as fuck.
“What’s in it for me?” Zemia asked.
“For all the shit I did today, I swear if I can make shit right we’ll go on one hell of a vacation all on me.” He threw out there and I could see her wheels turning but I was learning about little miss Zemia, nothing was that easy for her.
“First, you can’t buy us nigga we got our own shit!” She spat and I could see Kayson’s nose flare but there was nothing that he could do about it because he needed her. “Second, we want a damn good vacation like Maldives or Tahiti, some shit like that.” Damn we had money but she wanted to break a nigga with these trips. “Third, if you ever put your hands on her again I swear I will shoot you with your own gun, now you try me.” Zemia said and walked off.
“Damn that was sexy.” I smirked and she looked back and threw me an evil glance. “I done told you this ain’t our fight” She waved me off and headed in the house. “Damn I can’t wait to taste that.” I regretted it the minute it came out of my mouth.
“You ain’t hit yet?” Jaako asked.
“Nah I’m just getting to know shorty, plus she knows how I move so I ain’t trying to go there yet.” I smiled thinking about the conversation we had about my lifestyle. It was crazy how cool she was. I was thinking about trying the relationship thing but I didn’t want to hurt her so before I went there I needed to be sure. I wasn’t trying to end up like Kayson’s ass.
“Both y’all nigga losing it yo.” Jaako laughed.
“I know you ain’t talking and you dealing with two of em.” Kayson said.
“And yo’ ass driving for that fuck shit you just said.” I slapped Jaako in the back of the head and climbed in the back seat of his black on black Cadillac Escalade.
Chapter Twenty-One
Denari
It’s actually been cool having Heaven at the house. I’ve been chilling out and not wilding as much as I normally do, I wasn’t saying I was ready to settle down or no shit like that but I was feeling this shit a little. Hell, I’m usually out partying every night and fucking different bitches but for the last two months I’ve only been with Heaven and Krista’s dumb ass. I know I should leave that hoe alone but I just can resist her sex game, that shit is A fucking 1.
Heaven has expressed how much she hates Krista but I don’t really give a fuck about that. Heaven don’t run shit, I told her ass to go and take some yoga or something and do that shit like Krista does and I won’t fuck with her no more. She didn’t care for my response too much but I don’t know what else to tell her.
Right now, I was down in South Carolina trying to set some shit up and possibly expand the family business. I knew that shit would impress my aggravating ass uncle, since he says I don’t do shit. I’m making deals on my fucking own that could have us stacked like a muthafucka. Let’s see what they’ll have to say about that, bitch nigga will be singing my fucking praises by the end of it.
“So, you saying you can get me a key of coke for 16 grand?” Perry asked with a skeptical expression on his face.
“As an entry price, yes.” I shrugged.
“Entry?”
“Yeah nigga I ain’t trying to go broke supplying yo’ ass.” I didn’t know who the fuck he thought he was fucking with but he wasn’t about to fuck me over. I guess he thought since I was a little nigga that anything would fly and that shit just don’t work for me.
“So, what the price going for? Cause I’m paying 25 now.”
“Nah I can do better than that, and my shit is pure and uncut. Best shit North Carolina has ever seen.” I tugged on my loose dreads. “20k nigga”
“What’s the fucking catch nigga?”
“Nothing just trying to expand and shit, that’s why I’m giving it to you so cheap at first so you can test that shit out. If you like, then we will enjoy a new business relationship.” I cheesed.
“Yo’ ass better not be not fucking cop.” He barked. “This shit too good to be fucking true.”
“Fuck you nigga you better ask around about me, my fucking name is Denari Barnes and that shit ring fucking bells.” I boasted.
His eyes got big and he acted like my name made him uncomfortable. That’s what the fu
ck I thought, I said to myself.
“Yeah whatever.” He said coolly. “ I’ll call you in a couple days to set some shit up?”
“Aight, don’t be bullshitting either nigga.”
He chucked his deuces and walked off in the direction of his car. I hopped in my Camaro and burnt out. My ass was feeling good as shit right now. I had actually done something right for a change. I reclined my seat and turned on some old-school Biggie and enjoyed the scenery back to the city. I was in my own little world until my phone rang through my Bluetooth. I was in a good ass mood so I didn’t even bother looking to see who it was because I don’t think anything could fuck up what I was feeling right now.
“Yoooo.” I sang.
“I think you have something that belongs to me.” Ortiz voice boomed through my speakers.
“I ain’t got shit that belongs to you and if you talking bout my bitch then you better chalk that shit up because one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” I laughed. Hell, he left her out there for dead he couldn’t want too much to do with her, so he can go somewhere with that bull shit. I wasn’t trying to hear it.
“If that’s what you think then more power to you but until you return her to me I will jack one of your trap houses every day. I’ve already hit your favorite one.” Now it was his turn to laugh. I hit the steering wheel praying this shit was some kind of fucking joke. If he hit my shit and I wasn’t there, then I would never hear the end of that shit. It wouldn’t matter what kind of deal I set up, this fuck up would trump that in my uncle’s eyes. His ass was looking for a reason to cut me out.
“You better not had touched my shit if you know what’s good for you.” I threatened.
“Your threats don’t mean shit to me Denari. Like I said, you have something that belongs to me and I want it back, simple as that.”
“Fuck you Ortiz, I ain’t giving you shit. I’ll let my brothers know that we gotta a problem though.” I yelled through the car.
“I hear your brothers aren’t too happy with you right now.” He laughed again. “I mean you did cost them a quarter mil. Tell Jizzy I said good looking out.” He said and then hung up.
Jizzy? What the fuck did Jizzy have to do with this shit? I know Jizzy wouldn’t fuck us over like that, would he? Nah Jizzy wasn’t like that and there was no way that he would betray me. He knew what the consequences was for that shit. I picked up my phone and called his number and didn’t get an answer, I called again and again and got the same results. I called Joker to see if he had heard from him.
“Nigga why the fuck Jizzy ain’t answering the phone fucking phone?”
“’Cause nigga, he dead and that shit is yo’ fucking fault.” He yelled at the phone.
“Who the fuck you talking to?” I growled. Muthafuckas like to forget who the fuck is in charge when a nigga ain’t in they face. He was about to piss me the fuck off.
“Yo’ fucking brother killed him after some niggas ran in and jacked us.”
“Jacked you?” I feigned stupid.
“Yeah muthafucka.” I could hear the hurt in his voice because Jizzy was Joker’s cousin and they were close as fuck. “I don’t know who them niggas was but all I know is he said if you don’t give him back what belongs to him he gone be back every day until you do.”
“Did you tell my brothers about what he said?” I needed to make sure that they didn’t know that part. If they found out that all of this was over a bitch they would have my fucking head.
“Nah they didn’t give us a chance, they rushed up in there saying a bunch of shit and then Jaako ass flipped out and shot him?”
“Jaako?”
“Yeah nigga look I ain’t got time for this, I gotta find me some fucking work.”
“Nigga you work for me.” I reminded him.
“Not no mo',” he said and hung up the phone.
What the fuck was going on? Jaako wasn’t even like that, he didn’t do spontaneous shit like that. If they would have said it was Kayson then I would have been like okay but Jaako? He always had my fucking back. I can’t believe he would kill my boy like that. That shit kinda hurt. Jizzy was the only nigga I fucked with outside of my brothers and he knew that. Now who the fuck I’ma party wit and shit?
That nigga Jaako been feeling his self since that shit at the cookout at Kayson house. I done told his ass that I wasn’t fucking that bitch, even though I was, he didn’t have no fucking evidence that said so. I was pissed the fuck off I put my foot on the pedal and headed in the direction of his house. I was gone cuss his ass out. What the fuck was I supposed to tell Jizzy baby mama and family? I know Joker was gonna put all the shit on me and I wasn’t trying to hear that bullshit especially when it wasn’t even my fault.
Today was a good fucking day now I gotta deal with this shit. I already knew what the fuck Unc was gone fucking say, why wasn’t I there. Like that shit would have made a difference. I wasn’t trying to deal with that shit right now. But me and Jaako was about to have a conversation before I talked to anyone else.
I pulled up to the house he shared with Krista and noticed that his car wasn’t there but hers was. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to go in here when he wasn’t here but I didn’t give a fuck about that shit right now. I needed to know why my brother killed my nigga without talking to me about it first. I knew this was the best place to catch him because no one liked Krista’s bitch ass so I knew my brothers wouldn’t come here. I banged on the door and she opened it with a face full of tears.
“What the fuck are you doing here Denari? I don’t have time for this.”
“Fuck you bitch, where the hell is Jaako?” I pushed past her and made my way into the house.
“He’s not here and I don’t know where he is, he doesn’t talk to me anymore because of you.” She rolled her eyes at me.
“How the fuck is that my fault? Ain’t nobody tell yo’ ass to bust it wide open for a real nigga.” I smirked. “Hell, you were calling me not the other way around. You couldn’t get enough of ya boy.”
“Fuck you, you can leave.” She pointed to the door but I walked around and sat on the sofa.
“I ain’t going nowhere until I see him, so you better get fucking comfortable.” I said realizing I had to piss and heading to the bathroom. I walked past the counter and something caught my eye. “What the fuck is this Krista?”
She walked over and snatched out of my hand. “None of your business.” She grabbed it and stuffed it in her pocketbook.
“I thought I told yo’ dumb ass to get rid of that fucking baby.” I fumed. “I told you Jaako wasn’t going for that shit and it’s been two fucking months and you still fucking pregnant.”
“He won’t talk to me so I haven’t had a chance to tell him Denari, no matter what anyone says this is Jaako’s baby.”
My hands found their way to my face and I breathed deeply. I was two seconds from fucking her up. I was about over her shit.
“You know my brother ain’t fucking dumb he gonna ask for a blood test right.” I tilted my head to the side.
“He won’t, he knows I’m faithful to him.” She lowered her head and I gave her that bitch please look. “You know what I mean Denari.”
“Actually, no I don’t because there is a 50/50 chance that the baby is mine unless you were fucking somebody else too.” I raised an eyebrow.
“Oh, go to hell.” She waved me off.
“But you didn’t say no.” She smacked her lips and walked over to the couch and turned on the TV. I walked back to the bathroom, handled my business and washed my hands. I headed back in the living room and sat on the other couch. I just stared at her, she was cute as hell but her attitude made her ugly. Yeah, her sex game was off the fucking charts but I couldn’t be with her ass unless we fucked 24/7 and that ain’t fucking possible. Just staring at her ass though had my dick hard.
“Aye come handle this shit why we wait.” I smirked. She looked at me and then at the door and shook her head.
“No, he may actually c
ome home.”
“Shut the hell up and come here, you act like we ain’t did this shit before.” I unbuckled my pants and pulled out my dick that was hard as a fucking brick. She licked her lips and rolled her eyes in the back of her head like she was trying to stop herself. “You know you want it.”
“Let’s get a quickie in because we don’t know when he’s coming home.” She said biting her bottom lip.
“After you suck my dick, you can have what you want.”
She looked at the door again and came over to where I was, she got down on her knees and started sucking the meat off my shit. Their walls and shit were thin so I know I would be able to hear when someone pulled up, so I wasn’t worried. I threw my head back and enjoyed the fucking ride.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Jaako
The ride to Unc house was quiet. We were all lost in our thoughts; Yameka was heavy on my mind. We had a little argument earlier today about the fact that I was still living with Krista, even though I’m never there. What she didn’t know was that my condo would be ready by the end of the week and I could move.
I understood where she was coming from though. I wouldn’t want my woman living with her ex, but I was working to get out of there. I was just taking my time doing it. The night that we talked about being together, I should have left. I just needed to get my mind right on the fact that I was gonna be alone for a while. Yameka was worth getting over my fears though.
Krista was making shit hard for me though, she called and texted all the time. She was constantly telling me how things would be better if I just gave her a chance to change. Then in the same sentence, she would turnaround and tell me what I needed to do in order for her to be happy. What she failed to realize is I’m gonna be me regardless and if she couldn’t be okay with that, then we were no good together anyway. I swear I was too nice at times.
“Fuck, I forgot to change my shirt.” Kayson yelled out.
