Closer Page 5

The sheer pleasure etched on her body was more than I could handle. I cried out her name again and again as I emptied myself into her. I had never had an orgasm so hard, so all-consuming. I shuddered with the aftershocks of it as I pulsed inside her again and again. Her lips were against my ear, cooing and whispering to me, telling me how much she loved me.

I kissed her like I had fucked her, with everything I had. I could only hope it would be enough for the rest of our lives.

  Charlotte

“Charlotte! Charlotte, over here!” I scanned the crowd of reporters, trying to echolocate the voice like a bat. The dizzying barrage of flashing cameras and clicking shutters obfuscated my target, but I saw a hand frantically waving from the other side of the red carpet.

I tugged on Xander’s arm, leading him away from the adoring masses to Sarah, my favorite LA reporter-turned-blogger. It was rare to run into another curvy gal in Hollywood, and we’d commisserated on more than one occasion. I embraced the brunette with a kiss to each cheek, mindful of leaning forward too far. My center of gravity was completely off balance.

She reached forward, touching the curve of my pregnant belly. “I see you’re now a cautionary tale for what happens when you don’t buy Libido?”

There was a sparkle in her eye and a grin on her face that I couldn’t help but match. She pitched her voice lower, for my ears only.

  “You look radiant, Charlie.”

I beamed. It was true. Pregnancy suited me as well as an entire carton of Ben & Jerry’s.

“I don’t blame you at all though. Me-yow.” The buxom brunette gave my future husband a long, measuring look. I didn’t mind— he was worth looking at.

“Xander, when are you going to make an honest woman of your babymama?” Sarah made a show of inspecting my gigantic ring. We both laughed, his arm around my waist steadying me on my Dior heels. Keeping up appearances was ten times as hard when you were doing it for two.

“That’s up to her, Sarah.” He said. He had slipped into the role of supportive fiance as easily as he’d slipped me out of my panties.

We shared a brief kiss as Sarah took a step back, putting professional distance between us.

“Okay guys, on the record time. Game face.”

I stayed close to him, leaning into him. His hand dropped down to caress my stomach. It sent a thrill of pleasure shooting through me. It felt so right for him to be touching my pregnant belly.

I turned my head to face the camera, sultry smile spreading across my face.

Sarah played up the interaction from the top, as if our little friendly aside hadn’t ever happened. “Ms. Libido! Now that you’ve found Mr. Libido, what are your plans?”

I placed my hand over his, resting on my obviously pregnant curves.

“Easy, Sarah. We’re going to do our part to raise our Libido.”
