The Abduction Agreement (Mistress May I Book 1) Page 7

by Krieger, D. F.

My sister recoiled at the words, before squaring her shoulders and meeting my gaze dead on. “Maybe you should. You obviously can’t make the right decision to save your life. Maybe it’d do you some good.”

“Fine!” I pushed past her and headed for the door. As I grabbed the handle, she tugged on my elbow.

“Where do you think you’re going?” she demanded.

I shrugged her hand off and jerked the door open. “I’m going to sign up to let someone else make all the decisions.”

“What?” She made a noise and I could tell she’d realized what I planned on doing. “You can’t do that. You don’t even like BDSM.”

I wheeled around to glare at her. “You don’t know what I do and do not like. So just stay the fuck out of it. I’m an adult and I’m going to make one last bad decision, with or without your approval.”

Kyle appeared in front of me and crowded us back into the office, then shut the door behind him. “What is going on here?” he demanded. The expression on his face appeared more bewildered than angry.

“Paige wants to sign up for the auction.” Brandi almost whined the words and I fought the urge to smack her. She sounded just like she did when she used to tattle to Mom and Dad.

He directed his gaze at me and I raised my chin in defiance, daring him to argue my decision. For a moment we stood there, facing off, taking each other’s measure. Finally his shoulders relaxed and he gave a barely perceptible nod.

“If that’s what you really want. We will go over a contract and see if you still want to once you’ve read the fine print. Does that sound fair?”

“Kyle!” My sister squealed his name.

He raised an eyebrow at her and shook his head. “What do you want me to do about it, hell cat? She’s a consenting adult. I’m not her father, or her Master.”

“You could tell her no,” Brandi said. Real panic began coloring her tone and her expression begged him to stop.

My brother-in-law shook his head. “You know I can’t do that. Now, please go see to the bar, since we’re going to be a server short.”

She whirled and approached me. Instead of softening my resolve and making me second guess my decision, her attitude only angered me more. “Please don’t do this, Paige.”

“You even agreed it’s time I stop fucking up my life and let someone else make the choices for me. I can’t do anything right. What’s wrong? Afraid I’ll even fuck up at being a slave?” I shook my head. “Please leave us alone so I can go over the contract.”

  “I... Paige, I—”

“Go on, Brandi,” Kyle said, interrupting her. “You’ve said your piece. She’s made her choice. She may change her mind while going over the contract. But either way, I need you out there and you owe your sister the same respect of her choices as you give everyone else within these walls.”

Anger sparked within her eyes, but she stalked out of the room and slammed the door behind her without another word. The loud noise didn’t startle me in the slightest, but I saw Kyle flinch.

“You know you’re not getting laid tonight,” I said wryly.

He shrugged. “You may think that, but there’s a reason I’m her husband and not just some Dom she plays with. I know a few things that will have her forgiving me quicker than you think.” Kyle flopped down in his chair and pulled out a drawer. “You sure this is what you want?”

Determination had me nodding with a clenched jaw.

He watched me, then glanced away long enough to reach into the drawer and grab a couple of papers. I assumed they were the contract he’d mentioned. I settled onto the chair in front of the desk and studied them after he slid them across the surface of the desk to me. All thoughts about what exactly I might go through stayed in background of my mind. I kept a mental wall up, afraid that if I thought about what I was doing—really thought about it—I would end up backing out.

Like there’s anything left for me anyway. If I back out, it’ll just add to my list of failures. As it stands, my life is nothing more than service and being told I’m not good enough now as is.

The contract seemed pretty up front, and didn’t use elaborate speech. Regardless, Kyle seemed to feel the need to explain. Or perhaps it was a courtesy he gave everyone.

“The top part is your personal information. Name, age, agreeing that you are healthy and do not carry any STDs, that you will fully disclose any illness or need for medication before signing the agreement. Do you take any medicine or have any illness?” He glanced up at me as he grabbed a pen from the cup on the desk.

“No. I’m clean and healthy, and don’t take anything. Do I need to provide a copy of a recent—”

He waved off my words before I could even finish them. “Most use condoms as a precaution, but it might be something to discuss with your Dom during contract finalization.” Kyle tapped midway down the paper. “You want a Mistress, right? Your preference is a female Domme?” At my silent nod, he flipped the contract around and quickly filled in a few lines.

“Okay, so here’s the gist. You agree to be a sub to the highest bidder who wins you at the auction. You’re term is to serve a full three months as their submissive in whatever capacity they desire. Once you have been won, you and the Dom who bought you will meet up in my office to discuss a mutual contract outlining your yellow and red factors, and what exactly your service will entail.”

“What’s a yellow and red factor?” I asked. The term didn’t sound familiar to me at all.

“A yellow factor is something that you’ve never tried before, but you will be willing to try it. Or you like it, but soft core, not hard core. An example would be that you don’t mind being spanked with a cushioned paddled, but a flogger is too much for you. A red factor is something you are completely uncomfortable with. That’s self-explanatory.”

“I understand,” I said, and noticed that while speaking, he laid out another paper and pushed it toward me. A quick glance revealed a list of terms or things with check boxes beside them. “These are all types of kinks?” I asked.

“And then some.” Kyle turned his attention back to the auction contract. “If, for a viable reason, you are unable to fulfill your contract, you agree to reimburse the Dom for the amount remaining on your purchase. A breakdown of payment will be presented during final contract signing between you and the Dom.”

I slid the contract back to me and read it over again. “It all looks fine to me.” Before I could even think, I grabbed a pen and signed my name on the last page.

Kyle stood and I followed suit. His gaze ran over me and he frowned. “One thing’s for sure, you’re never going to stir up much with that outfit. You look more school teacher Domme than submissive.”

A groan escaped me as I glanced down and confirmed his words. “I have a skirt over there in my bag,” I said.

“Let me guess...knee length.” His derisive snort had me cracking a grin of my own.

“Yep... What do you suggest? I don’t have anything else with me.”

He raised an eyebrow and suddenly I wasn’t so sure letting him make this call was a good idea. “You and Brandi are about the same size. We’ve got a closet full of some fun little outfits upstairs in our room. Follow me.”

Kyle walked out of the office and I hesitated as second thoughts began to niggle at me. My gaze fell on the paper, where my signature displayed proudly.

No backing out now. It’s a legal, signed and sealed document, Paige. You got yourself in this mess, now move along. After all, it’s this or serving at the bar.

With a shake of my head, I dismissed my anxiety and followed him. If it came down to it, I could simply put all those kinks down as a red factor and just have some really great, no strings attached sex. Everything was going to be fine. I had it all under control.

  Chapter eight

I stared at myself in the mirror in a side room near the stage and panic rose in my throat. There is no way in hell I’m going out there like this. Nope. Not going to happen.

&n
bsp; The red plaid skirt came above my knees. It barely brushed mid-thigh, as a matter of fact. The white, button up shirt gaped open provocatively, and gave more than an eyeful of my cleavage. Knee high black socks clung to my legs like a second skin. Kyle let me wear my own dress shoes, at least. That was one size Brandi and I didn’t share.

Delilah’s voice echoed through the walls as she ran the auction. Seven other men and women started in this room with me. All of them shook with excitement or chatted happily about who they thought might buy them, or what their service would be. I’d sat in the corner, digging my nails into my palms and staying silent. Now I was the only one left.

“Paige?” Teresa poked her head in and I bit back the anger that instantly rose at the sight of her. “You don’t have to do this. Master meant for both of us to go live with him. He was going to give us both a home. We could have spent our days just being together, and our nights... You wouldn’t have ever needed to touch him. I don’t mind having sex with men. I would have done all of that.”

“Oh, I’m well aware you don’t mind men,” I snapped. “I saw that first hand, didn’t I?”

“We were going to be with him together.”

I clenched my fists and glared at her. “When were you going to clear it with me? When were you going to talk to me about it? Include me?”

She stuck her chin out and met my glare with one of her own. “You aren’t my boss. I don’t have to clear shit with you.”

“You damn well do when it’s a we thing you are making a decision on.”

“Last sub tonight, folks. Please help me introduce Paige,” Delilah announced on the other side of the door.

“Lucky for you, there’s no we to get in your way anymore. I wish you all the best,” I said as I pushed past her.

Thankfully, Teresa didn’t try to stop me. She let me by without another word. Not even a goodbye. I walked out of the room and up the steps onto the stage. I kept my focus on Delilah, who pursed her lips as if she wanted to say something.

Damn. Everyone just has their two cents about my life. Maybe once someone else is in driver’s seat, they’ll back off and I’ll get some peace.

I held my head up and faced the crowd, then tried to tone down my stance. No one would want a sub staring defiantly at them like she didn’t even want to be there. Do I want to be here? No one would want a sub who wasn’t willing to yield to their desires. Am I even capable of yielding to anyone? So I relaxed my muscles and let my anger fall away from me.

The only problem was that fear and pain waited for me just on the other side of that anger. It battered against me, threatening to break me down in to tears in front of everyone. I glanced at Delilah and watched concern form in her eyes.

I will not be weak and fail at something else!

With a nod, I showed my willingness to do this so she could begin.

“Paige is new to the BDSM scene and requires an understanding Dom willing to train. She prefers a female, and only wants to participate in girl on girl action. Can we get a starting bid of one thousand, please? Remember, Masters and Mistresses, this is our last sub for the night and the proceeds go to a great cause.”

Icy dread filled me as I watched the crowd. People milled about, and a couple of them were even chatting, but no one offered a bid. A heart beat passed, two...

“Three thousand,” a voice called out.

The icy dread turned into a full-blown gale of terror as I focused in on the person raising their hand. Bryce stood there, a cocky smile on his face. Teresa lounged at his side with an arm wrapped around his waist. Slowly, deliberately, he turned and kissed her, then reached a hand up to fondle her breast.

Oh, please God, no. Not him. I said I want a woman. Can he even do that?

“Thirty-five hundred,” someone else countered. I nearly cheered over the fact it was a woman’s voice, though I couldn’t figure out which one.

“Four thousand five hundred,” Bryce declared.

A short silence followed before Delilah said, “I’ve got four thousand five. Four thousand five. Can I get a five even?”

  “Five!”

I snapped my attention to the voice who called out that bid. Kyle stood near the back with a hand up. Brandi clung to him, her eyes wide as she stared at Bryce.

Did she tell Kyle about Bryce harassing me? Or had Kyle never believed I could do this either and this was his way of helping me get out while still saving face. I didn’t need his rescue.

“Six,” Bryce countered, and annoyance began to show on his features.

Kyle kissed the top of his wife’s head but kept his gaze on me. “Seven.”

“Ten thousand!” The anger in Bryce’s words almost seemed like a physically violent force. His fingers dug into Teresa’s shoulder so hard her skin turned white from the tension. There would be bruises, without a doubt.

The room fell silent. My body shook from fear as I hoped, prayed that someone would offer a higher bid. I looked at my brother-in-law, but he shook his head, a regretful expression on his face. I knew what he was trying to tell me. He didn’t have the finances to bid any higher.

“I’ve got a bid for fifteen thousand from bidder seventy-three. Can I get a higher bid?” Delilah said.

I shot her a glance, surprised. There were only about twenty people in the crowd and the highest bid marker I could see was the number thirty. Not to mention, I never saw anyone in the crowd motion a bid, much less hear someone call out the number. Even Bryce looked around wildly, trying to place who was outbidding him.

“Fifteen thousand going once. Fifteen going twice. Sold, to bidder seventy-three!”

My knees nearly gave out on me as a wave of dizziness blurred my vision. Bryce didn’t end up being the highest bidder. The relief I felt contrasted against the fear over not knowing who did end up winning. In a dream-like state, I left the stage and headed for Kyle’s office to meet my new owner.

Brandi rushed to my side and grabbed my arm as I put one foot in front of the other in an almost robotic fashion. “You idiot.” Tears trickled down her face. “That bastard almost bought you.”

“Well, he didn’t. He was outbid,” I responded. “Who was bidder seventy-three?”

She shook her head. “I don’t know. I don’t do the bidder registration. Kyle handles all that. He’s already in his office, I think. He took off as soon as Mistress Delilah said you were sold.”

We stood outside the door, and I stared at it. What if the person who bought me was a man? What if they were a completely creepy asshole like Bryce? What if they were worse than Bryce? Only one way to find out .

I pushed the door open and went in. Brandi released my arm and took a step back.

“Good luck, sis,” she said so softly I almost didn’t hear her.

I spared her a nod, then closed the door and turned to face my future. Kyle sat there, his features unreadable. He used a hand to indicate the chair I’d sat in earlier, his attention focused on some papers on his desk. Though his movements were brisk, they seemed almost nervous.

“We’re just waiting on your new Dom,” he said.

“Do you know who it is? Have I ever met them before?” I couldn’t stop my voice from quavering.

He paused and made eye contact for the first time since I walked in. Doubt lingered in his eyes, and my anxiety ratcheted up so much I found myself digging my nails into my palms again. “I’m not quite sure...”

A gentle knock on the door nearly caused me to jump out of my own skin. The hairs on my arms stood on end, and a chill crawled down my spine. I swallowed, trying to hold back the bile that burned in my throat.

  “Come in,” Kyle called.

When Delilah entered the room, I released a breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding. She spared me a glance before approaching Kyle directly. Her blue, silky evening gown whispered as she settled into the chair beside me. “Let’s begin, shall we?”

He tilted his head and his brow furrowed. “What is going on? I couldn’t find any t
race of a bidder number seventy-three in my records.”

Her lips quirked in a half smile in response. “You believe in the idea of begging forgiveness later rather than asking for permission, yes?”

“In certain situations...” he replied, his tone wary.

She crossed her ankles and leaned back in the chair, then used a hand to sweep her curls over her shoulder. “I made an executive decision. Paige is mine now.”

I blinked, trying to process her words as my heart raced. “What?”

Delilah winked at me then turned back to Kyle. “I hope you are still good for that seven thousand, because I only have eight.”

He laughed, startling me so much that I jerked. “I have it, and we’ll be able to work something out.”

“Would someone please tell me what’s going on here?” I asked as my mind scrambled to make sense of it all.

She twisted in her seat to meet my pleading gaze. “I didn’t want Master Bryce buying you. I could see your discomfort, and I remember what you said about what he did to you the first night you worked here. I made an extreme bid. Problem is, I can’t cover the bid on my own. I’m relying on Master Kyle’s good graces and initial bid to help cover it.”

“But, fifteen thousand dollars... That’s a lot of money!”

Kyle chuckled. “It went to a fantastic cause, and I have a feeling Delilah already has ways to pay me back lined up.”

“An eternity worth of free suits and sexy outfits, custom made?” she asked.

“Deal. You’re going to regret that offer though.” His grin lit up his features, and I swore I could see a twinkle in his eye. “I’ve had a few things I wanted to commission, and kept my mouth shut because I feared the price tag.”

“Won’t it hurt you and Brandi to lose out on that kind of money?” I asked. “I expected to only go for like two or three thousand. This amount...it’s so ridiculous I can’t wrap my head around it.”

“Don’t worry. I’m sure you are worth every penny. Besides, I will be able to use the hand with my work.” Delilah leaned forward and grabbed a couple of pens with colored ink. “I need you to fill out a yellow and red factor list. Use the black pen to indicate yellow factors, and red to indicate red. Here is my requirement: you will be my service sub, which means you will be living with me.”
