I have to take creative liberties with many things for purposes of plot and pacing. Aubertine College and its arboretum are complete fictions. Denton is a made-up city. Keller Hollow is a made-up town. You should know that there really was a study done regarding avian scavengers at a body farm in Texas showing that black vultures could reduce a body to bones in a matter of hours. The paper is called Spatial Patterning of vulture scavenged human remains by M. Katherine Spradley, Michelle D. Hamilton and Alberto Giordano and it was published in Forensic Science International in 2012. Ringing (lithophonic) rocks and Eastonite are real things.

I love hearing from readers. You can get in touch with me through any of the social media outlets below, including my website and Goodreads page. Also, if you are up for it, I’d really appreciate it if you’d leave a review and perhaps recommend Find Her Alive to other readers. Reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations go a long way in helping readers discover my books for the first time. As always, thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me. I can’t wait to hear from you, and I hope to see you next time!
