  “Oh, I do more than like it. I love it.”

  “And I love you.”

  Elias kissed Charlie, allowing the chatter around them to place them in their very own bubble. Although they were surrounded by people, he couldn't help only focusing on Charlie.

  His eyes shimmered as he studied Charlie. “I can't believe it.”

  “What?”

  “After all these years as friends, we were just lovers in the making.”

  Charlie grinned. “That's interesting. I didn't think of it that way.”

  “It was a love campaign all along,” Elias teased. “I was aiming for your heart with my bow and had no idea.”

  “Well, you hit the target.”

  “I guess I did good.”

  Charlie laughed. “And my song—did you hear it?”

  Elias broke into a wide grin, his eyes glittering as he pressed his forehead to Charlie's. “The whole time...”
