Coloring Outside the Lines (Miracle Salvation Island Book 1) Page 7

by Shea Balik

There was a sharp intake of air as Kylo’s pupils dilated, nearly obscuring their grey color.

Lips slammed against his. Then Kylo’s fingers plunged into the strands of his hair as he owned his mouth in what Yosi hoped was a preview to the way he’d take his ass.

It wasn’t until oxygen became paramount that Kylo finally pulled back. Foreheads touching, Kylo slowly stroked every inch of Yosi’s skin he could get his hands on. The sensation was enough to make him come without anything else, which, as hot as it would be to experience, Yosi needed to complete their mating before allowing that to happen.

Taking hold of Kylo’s hands, Yosi scooted back on the bed. “Let me get the lube before we go too far, and I can’t move.” Making sure to keep his ass on perfect display, he crawled across the bed to the nightstand. Once he’d dug the lube out of the drawer, he sat up on his knees and knee walked across the blanket, letting his mate get a good view of his bouncing cock.

Though, that move nearly had him losing it again, for when he faced Kylo, it was to see his mate’s hand wrapped around his length as he stroked it slowly. The sight was…well, orgasm worthy. Adding a night of watching his mate masturbate to his list of things to do after they’d completed their mating.

His dick throbbed as a reminder of one more act he wanted to do before he started making lists. Fuck that gorgeous body. He just prayed Nole was right that claiming each other would heal Kylo, for Yosi couldn’t wait to experience every single one of his fantasies with this stunning man who awed Yosi with his strength and bravery.

Sitting back on the edge of the bed, Yosi placed the lube nearby, then slowly leaned back until his back was against the mattress. He smiled at the way his mate’s eyes traveled up and down his body as if he didn’t want to miss a thing.

His heart sped up in anticipation as Yosi lifted his legs and feet onto the bed, then he let his knees drop to the bed as he spread out for his mate’s pleasure.

“Fuck,” Kylo whispered as he reached out and traced his finger around Yosi’s tight pucker. “You are beautiful.”

Yosi preened at his mate’s praise. There was nothing better than knowing Kylo found him attractive.

Kylo’s gaze flicked up to meet Yosi’s. “I love you,” he said.

Tears sprang to Yosi’s eyes as he heard that declaration that had no hesitation in it. “I love you too, Kylo.”

Due to Kylo’s injuries, Yosi had thought that this would be pretty much a quick fuck. Boy had he been wrong.

  CHAPTER 12

It had been a week, yet Kylo still had trouble wrapping his head around that fact that Yosi was his mate. His mate. Who was spread out for him like a buffet was more than any dream he’d ever had. He was sure not even in his deepest fantasies he could have imagined this moment.

He wanted to lick every damn inch of skin. If only he could. But Kylo doubted, even with the temptation of his mate before him, that he would be able to bend over that long, nor would have be able to move around. That didn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy a few things.

Slowly, he bent his knees, without kneeling, for that would take him way too long to not only get down on the ground, but also get back up. At the same time, he leaned over just enough for him to take Yosi’s long slim cock into his mouth.

  Fuck, but that was good.

He heard his mate gasp, then moan long and low. His heart soared that he could give his mate pleasure even though he doubted he would be able to stay in that position for long. Still, he would find a way to do so as long as possible, especially if he was going to hear those sexy sounds coming from Yosi.

He braced one hand against Yosi’s thigh, while he reached for his mate’s balls with the other. Rolling them in his hand, he smiled around Yosi’s dick when his mate started to babble.

“Fuck yes, babe. Just like that. Your mouth feels so damn good on my cock.” Yosi’s dirty words had Kylo’s ears burning, but he didn’t care.

He couldn’t help that he was embarrassed. Hell, until nearly dying six months ago, Kylo had never even used a swear word. He was working on it, but that didn’t mean he was ready, or able, to be as explicit as his mate. That said, he might get embarrassed, but that didn’t mean he didn’t like it. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Hearing Yosi tell him exactly how he felt about what Kylo was doing, was a huge turn on.

A twinge along his hip alerted Kylo that he wasn’t going to be able to stay like this for long. Reaching for the lube, he quickly slicked up his fingers and let them trail along Yosi’s crease.

When he started to slide a finger in, he heard Yosi hiss. Hoping to relax his mate more, he played with the muscles that were guarding his pucker. At the same time, he sucked a bit harder, which had Yosi thrusting his hips up, driving his cock into Kylo’s mouth further.

Using the distraction, Kylo pushed his finger deeper and just about lost his damn mind. Intense heat surrounded the digit in a tight grip that went straight to his dick. The thought of being wrapped up in that snug hole had his cock throbbing and dripping with precum.

Using the same technique as before, he added a second finger. This time, Yosi was moaning for more.

Just about to add a third finger, Kylo felt it. A burning in his hip that wouldn’t be ignored. He had to stand. As much as he wanted to keep sucking his mate, there was no way he could.

He placed a hand on the bed next to Yosi’s hip, hoping his mate hadn’t noticed how tightly he was gripping the mattress for leverage as he straightened. Once he was upright, he took that hand off the bed and stroked Yosi’s length as he added that third finger.

He let out a long, measured breath that his mate was too lost in his desire to see that Kylo was hurting. Not that it mattered to his dick, since it was still rock hard. How could it not be when his mate was moaning like Kylo was some sort of God while his body writhed against the bed?

He wasn’t sure there was enough pain on earth to make his dick deflate with his mate looking so debauched as he begged for Kylo to fuck him. He had to admit, he had been worried he wouldn’t have the ability to claim his mate, but that wasn’t going to be the case.

“Please, babe,” Yosi whined. “I need to feel you inside of me.”

Kylo couldn’t agree more. His seal felt it too. Then again, his seal had been barking at him to get on with it since they met Yosi.

Pulling his fingers from all that delicious heat, Kylo stroked his cock with the excess lube. Then he took a step closer, making sure to hold onto the bed while he did in case his right leg didn’t feel like holding him up any longer.

When he was right there at the V of Yosi’s body, he lined up his cock. His gazed moved from where he was about to join their bodies, to Yosi’s face. His mate was fucking gorgeous with his silver and blue hair spread out over the blanket and sweat shimmering over his skin.

But, ohhh, the sight of that tiny opening starting to spread open for his cock? Damn if Kylo didn’t nearly come just from watching as they joined together.

His eyes fluttered closed as Yosi’s searing heat enveloped him like a vise. Unable to keep them open any longer, his head fell back upon his shoulders as he relished the sensations flowing through him. Bliss was too tame a word to describe it, but it was all he could come up with as he sank balls deep into his mate.

They were connected. One. Together forever.

He was sure nothing could ever be so sweet as this moment. But then Yosi’s inner muscles started to relax as they fluttered around his length and all thought left Kylo’s brain as he pulled his hips back and thrust back in.

“Harder,” Yosi yelled as he met him thrust for thrust.

Not wanting to disappoint his mate, Kylo ignored the pain that was building in his hip and did as he demanded. His balls ached as they rolled in his sac. Then his canines descended, and electricity shot up and down his spine.

He tried to bend over his mate to get to his neck, but he cried out when the pain became too much. Yosi must have realized the problem, because his
mate rose up.

Their eyes met for just a moment, but it was all it took for raw lust to slam into Kylo. His head went forward, and he sank his teeth into his mate. Copper tinted blood flowed over his taste buds just as he felt the sting of Yosi’s bite.

Fluid splashed across his abdomen and groin. The tight ring of muscles encasing his cock clamped down, yanking his own orgasm out of him as he filled his mate with his seed.

Endorphins zinged through him and for the first time in six months, he felt nothing but pleasure.

  ***

“I know this is probably sappy, but I never thought it was possible to feel this connection. It’s as if we were two people that have become one.” The moment Kylo said the words his face flushed with heat. He was such a dweeb.

Lips nibbled along his jaw, over his cheeks, then his eyelids before settling on his lips. “You are the most amazing man I’ve ever known,” Yosi told him. “One minute, you’re telling people off for daring to tell you what you should do, and the next, you say the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard.”

Those dark blue eyes stared at Kylo, a smile shining in their depths. “You, babe, are a contradiction, who never ceases to blow me away with your ability to say what you think no matter the situation.”

Kylo didn’t know about that. “I didn’t used to,” he admitted. “I changed, a lot, after the fire.”

“I get that.” Yosi cuddled up closer to him. “I find it inspiring that you turned such a horrific event into something positive.” He felt Yosi’s lips brush against his head. “Especially with what you’ve had to endure.”

There were times when Kylo had wondered why he’d ever been the way he had before the fire. At the same time, he was, at times, shocked by the things that came out of his mouth lately. It had been an about face when it came to the old him, but it hadn’t been until coming face to face with death that he’d understood he hadn’t been happy with who he was.

Before he’d always toed the line. Saying the ‘right’ things. Doing the ‘right’ things. Even dressing the ‘right’ way. Other than being gay, he had tried to travel the straight and narrow.

“I think because we were always on the run, I tried hard to make sure I fit in so as not to cause trouble. Running sucked.” That was even more true when they’d had to run without anything. Hell, the last time, when Greyson carried him out of that fire, he hadn’t had a stitch of clothing on, much less anything that might be considered a personal item.

“But fitting in was just as difficult. I didn’t want to be like everyone else.” He smiled as he thought of something from his childhood. “It was like when I was five and started kindergarten. My teacher gave us a picture to color. It was a picture of a rocket ship. I started off making sure to color every little white spot within the lines.”

That had been so tedious. Even at five, Kylo had known he wasn’t like most of the others in the classroom. “But when I finished, it didn’t feel right, because it was just sitting there on the page. When I was done, I had made it fly.”

His teacher hadn’t been happy. “Mrs. Wilson came over and chastised me for being so sloppy, but I’d told her in order to make it soar it required coloring outside the lines.”

Kylo chuckled at the memory. “She sent home a note to my parents, telling them that I wasn’t ‘fitting in’ with the rest of the class. My mom hugged me and told me to ‘be you, in whatever way that meant’.” A tear came to his eye as he thought about her.

“What about your dad?” Yosi asked.

Kylo did his best to cuddle closer to his mate without causing himself any more pain. “He spanked me and demanded I change.” He kissed Yosi’s neck. “I hate that I listened to him.”

Yosi kissed his lips and whispered, “The important part is, that you’re listening to your mom now. She’s right. Be you. Because that’s the person I’ve fallen in love with.”

Kylo was sure his heart was soaring right along with that rocket ship at the moment, as he sank into another kiss from his mate.

  CHAPTER 13

“I know this is a lot to ask, but they’re being hunted and have nowhere else to go.”

Yosi blinked up at Baz Landry, giant octopus shifter, and his pilot. It had seemed more than a bit odd that an octopus would want to fly, but Baz claimed it was the thrill of being able to not only swim the depths of the ocean, but to also be able to soar high through the sky.

“I’m sorry,” Yosi tried to bring his thoughts back to the here and now, which wasn’t easy when they were focused on his sexy mate swimming in the cove as Yosi sat on the rocks watching him. “What happened?”

“A shark pod I know from back home,” Baz said much more slowly this time. Before he’d spoken so quickly Yosi had hardly known he was there before he was done. This time, he started out by saying each word as if he were talking to a child.

Was Yosi offended? Hell no. It gave him the ability to admire his mate as he shifted. Damn, but he looked delicious. All Yosi wanted to do was go over to him and lick up those beads of water that were trailing down his body.

The worst of the burns were finally beginning to heal. Nole had been right about the claiming speeding up the process. There was still a long way to go and they had no idea if everything would mend itself, but already Kylo was able to move easier.

“They have always hated homosexuals,” Baz continued, which managed to snag Yosi’s gaze from his mate to the very large man. He towered over him when Yosi was standing, but sitting? Yosi had to nearly do a back bend to look up at his pilot.

“They can hate all they want. But the Council won’t tolerate any verbal or physical abuse to those who are gay.” That was something Yosi had never understood.

It hadn’t helped that the old Council had allowed any shifter who was gay to be killed. Hell, they’d hunted anyone who was same-sex oriented. Until the new Council had taken over and changed those laws, Yosi used to harbor anyone on the former Council’s hit list.

Now most of them, especially the land animals, had moved on to Miracle. Although, Yosi had given them all new identities just in case anyone decided to try and hunt them down anyway. Yosi had assumed that just because it was illegal, there would always be people out there willing to kill for something that was none of their business in the first place, but an entire pod?

It was suicide not only for the Alpha but for anyone involved. No way would Saber put up with that kind of behavior. Of course, he’d have to know about it first.

“That’s just it,” Baz told him, his speech going from slow to freight train speed again as he tried to get it all out at once. “According to my friend, Jack, they have started killing anyone in a nearby sea lion colony who they even suspect might be gay. Five of the members have been killed already and Jack’s hearing rumors of three more that are on the list. He is set to get them out of there, but he has nowhere to go and I was hoping you would let them come here.”

“Who wants to come here?” Kylo asked as he carefully made his way over the rocky surface with a towel wrapped around him.

“My friend.” Baz’s voice had risen at least an octave and the volume had gone up a significant amount.

Yosi started to tell him off for speaking to Kylo like that, but he could see just how agitated his pilot was and started to put together everything he’d just heard. He knew it was important, but lately, whenever his mate was around, Yosi found it harder and harder to concentrate on anything else.

“Baz,” Kylo said. “Of course, he can come here, but it sounds more than just a visit.” Then Kylo linked his left arm through Baz’s and led him toward the house. “I’m sorry I didn’t hear the first part of what you were saying. But I thought you said something about someone being killed.”

The tension in Baz started to melt as he repeated the story to Kylo, who was walking with him up the gentle slope to Yosi’s house. Not about to be left behind, Yosi quickly followed, this time doing a better job of listening himself.

  “Oh, Baz,” Kylo said
when the man finished. “I’m so sorry. “Where are they now?”

  “Australia,” Baz said.

His sweet mate turned to Yosi, causing him once more to lose track of the conversation, or to fully understand his mate’s question. “Do you have a private plane we can use?”

Yosi smiled and nodded. He would give Kylo anything he asked. “Yes. It’s in a hanger on the mainland.”

Kylo looked back at Baz. “Do you know how many shifters will be coming?” Baz responded but Yosi was too engrossed in a droplet of water that was currently snaking down the side of Kylo’s neck to hear him. He never thought anything of it when his mate asked him, “How many people can your plane carry?”

“Fifteen in one and ten in the other,” Yosi told him.

It wasn’t until his mate clapped his hands in excitement that Yosi started to really piece together the bits of conversation. Just as he was beginning to realize what his mate had planned, Kylo said, “Just let me get dressed and pack some medical supplies in case we need them, and we’ll head out. It’s a long trip and I don’t want to give those shark shifters a chance to attack anyone else.”

“Wait a minute,” Yosi said as his world started to crumble in on him. “We’re not going. It not safe to leave the island.”

The disappointed frown his mate gave him was like a punch to the gut, but it didn’t change anything. “What do you mean?” Kylo asked. “You went to Miracle,” he pointed out.

“That’s because it was Miracle. I wasn’t worried about anyone coming after me there.” Just the thought of that last mob of people that had come at him with tasers sent chills down his spine. Nope. No way was he leaving. Miracle had been as adventurous as he was willing to be.

Surprised when Kylo faced Baz instead of arguing, Yosi had stupidly believed his mate would be fine with staying behind. “Baz, would you be able to get together whatever medical supplies we might need. I’m going to need a minute with my mate.” Just as Baz started to head off, Kylo stopped him. “Oh, and you might want to see if you can reach Teddy. An orca shifter, especially one his size, would be helpful if we have to face a bunch of sharks.”
