Dog looked down at her. “I’m done with club pussy. Stay the fuck away from me.”

He headed upstairs to his room. Sable had recently taken a shower. She sat on the edge of the bed, drying her hair with a towel. He’d always loved her long hair, loved how it felt wrapped in his fists as he fucked her.

  “Meeting over?” she asked.

He nodded. The encounter with Honey still didn’t sit well with him.

“You’ve been cooped up for days already. Forge said it could be months before he gives you any freedom.”

“I don’t mind,” she said. “It’s better than playing the role of Hank’s girlfriend.”

  He couldn’t agree more.

“Not acceptable. Get ready, I’m taking you out for a ride. You need some fresh air.”

“Are you sure it’s okay with the boss?”

He took a couple of steps into the room. “You think I can’t take care of you?”

Sable bit her lip and shook her head. Those big, dark, innocent eyes always melted him from the inside out.

“Meet me by my bike in five minutes.”

He’d claimed his woman and sometime this week, he’d make their relationship official in the club. She’d move up the rank and get the respect she deserved. Right now, he wanted to spend time alone with Sable with no drama, no sneaking around. She was so much more to him than sex. He wanted to get deep into her head, to get to know the girl he fell in love with.

Once he was back in the yard, Sweetheart raced up to him. “You’re choosing the wrong daughter, Dog. Even I could show you a better time than Sable ever could.”

He glared at her. “Watch your mouth when you speak about Sable. It could cost you your place in the club.”

He was losing his patience fast.

Dog went over to see Redneck. He was barbequing some burgers with a few of the brothers. “A word,” he said.

Redneck left the group, carrying a bottle of beer. “Honey and Sweetheart are grating on my fucking nerves. Keep those bitches in check, remind them of their place in the club, or make them disappear.”

The young enforcer nodded, no sense of conflict in his eyes.

Dog clapped him on the back and headed to his bike.

He made sure he was gassed and ready for a long ride. He rolled a towel into his saddlebag. Everything was prepared and ready to go when Sable appeared wearing the old leather jacket he always associated with her. She’d had it forever.

As she approached, he reached and grabbed her by both sides of the collar, kissing her hard on the mouth. “I’m going to give you everything, baby.”

Once things calmed down, he’d take her into town and buy her the best of everything, including new leathers. He wanted the world to know she was his old lady to keep her safe and make sure other men stayed away. In the Hell’s Slaves MC, anyone who toyed with another man’s old lady was served a death sentence. Word spread fast, and the old ladies at the club were rarely messed with.

She climbed on the bike behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. He loved the feel of her. She molded perfectly to his body.

“Where we going?” she whispered in his ear.

  Their destination was a secret.

He revved the engine, turning just enough to smirk, then they were off.

The wind at his face, the power under his seat, the beauty at his back … it couldn’t get better than his. Forge worried about Hank Little or Luther Grass trying to get their revenge on Sable or the club, but he wasn’t going to obsess about what might happen. He’d keep Sable close, and the gates at the club were being kept closed and watched for now. It was standard procedure when there was the potential for trouble. Safety of their members was always key.

Dusk would be upon them soon, so he needed to get to where he was going. He increased his speed, racing through the streets and finally down the rougher dirt roads. He slowed to a crawl, then finally put his foot down.

The ocean seemed to go on forever, spilling over the edge of the world. He cut the engine and helped Sable off the bike.

  “Where is this place, Dog?”

There were no people or homes in sight. This was how he liked it. Being a biker meant nobody wanted him around. This was one of his secret places. He’d come here when he needed to clear his head or remember he was a human being and didn’t live to kill.

He held out his arms to each side. “It’s paradise, no?”

She smiled, looking around with a childlike wonder. After kicking off her flats, she walked barefoot toward the water. “It’s so beautiful. I’ve seen places like this on TV, but never with my own eyes.”

“What do you mean?” he asked. “You’ve never been to a beach?”

She shook her head. “Is that weird?”

He knew life at the club could be stifling, but it pissed him off when parents chose to disregard their kids. Sable deserved to have happy memories, rich experiences, and know true love. He’d give it all to her.

She bent down and grabbed a handful of wet sand, squeezing it in a fist and watching it fall to the ground. He pointed at a seashell and the joy on her face melted his heart. Dog stood there, watching her explore, falling more in love by the second.

“Want to take a swim?” he asked.

Sable turned to look at him, still squatting down and collecting shells in her shirt. “Swim? Here? How?”

“There’s no one around for miles,” he said. “Take off all your clothes and take the plunge.”

  “Is it safe?”

“Sable, take a chance. Have some fun. You’re going to start living from now on, not just existing.”

She stood and looked out at the ocean, then back at him. He motioned for her to lose the clothes. After doing another visual sweep of the area, she slipped out of her clothes until she was in just her bra and panties.

“Lose those too. You don’t want them wet for the ride home.”

She took a deep breath then stripped naked. Dog settled on the sand, leaning back on an elbow to enjoy the view. The sun was starting to set now, the bright blues and greens becoming muted. He took a deep breath of salty air, listening to the carefree squeals coming from Sable. He was in heaven.

  ****

The water was cooler than she expected, and she yelped when the waves washed over her stomach. She lowered herself into the ocean, never feeling so free and wild. Dog was onshore, watching her as he played with a stick in the sand. She could stay here forever, forget the world, her family, and still be happy.

Back at the club, Forge had everyone on high alert. She was the target for revenge, a huge bullseye on her head. It wasn’t a position she enjoyed being in. Especially when her mother and sister were worse than before she went on the mission. Everything in her life felt fucked, but right now, there was only here. Only now.

She looked off at the horizon, the sun sinking lower by the minute. The sky began to morph into a work of art, a gorgeous mix of oranges, pinks, and reds. She felt tiny here, her worries insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Sable swam around for so long her fingers felt pruney. When she felt something brush against her body, she screamed.

  “I’ve got you, baby.”

Dog’s arms came around her from behind, his naked body pressed to hers. She twisted in his arms, the buoyancy of the water making her feel lighter than air. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he floated in the water with her.

He brushed the wet hair on her face back, then cupped her face. “You’re beautiful, Sable.”

She shook her head. It felt foreign accepting compliments. She’d been invisible for so long.

“Don’t tell me I’m wrong because I’m not. Of all the women in the world, I have the very best one.” He kissed the tip of her nose.

  “And I have the VP.”

  “You do,” he said.

The water caressed their bodies. She combed her fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck. He was strong and warm, and made her feel so safe and wan
ted. “You’re not so scary,” she said.

  “Am I supposed to be?”

  “Everyone’s scared of you, Dog.”

  “Not you?”

She smiled, giving him a kiss. “I’ve always loved you, even before I knew what love was.”

They kissed softly, deeply. The passion was pure and flooded her body with heat.

“I’m going to love you how you deserve. From now on, it’s you and me, okay?”

  “I like that,” she said.

She was so used being on survival mode, pretending to be something she wasn’t at the club, and not having anyone in the world to put her first. It would take time to get used to this. She was already becoming addicted to the feeling of being wanted.

“It’s getting dark. We should probably head to shore,” Dog said.

“Can we come here again?” she asked. “Please.”

“I have a lot of places to show you. There’s a river close to the club you’ll love. Any time you want to come here, you just let me know.”

When they got to shore, hand in hand, she pulled him from walking farther.

  “What is it?”

“I want to try something.” She motioned for him to settle down on the damp sand, the waves still covering his legs in rhythmic sequence. Sable ran her hand over his cock, instantly bringing it to life. His masculine body fascinated her.

After pumping his erection a few times, she covered his cock with her mouth. He groaned and leaned up on one elbow to watch. “Damn, Sable. You don’t have to do that.”

“I want to. I’ve always dreamed of doing this to you.” She continued, bobbing up and down over his dick, sucking and using her tongue. Although she’d never gone down on a man, she’d heard the club pussy talk about technique and what the men wanted. His grunts and groans turned her on. It gave her pleasure and a sense of power to give Dog so much pleasure.

The water caressed her legs, tickling her pussy with each wave. His dick became harder, thicker, then his hand fisted hard in her hair. She gasped, pulling off his cock.

“I’m not coming down your throat, Sable.” He flipped her over, spreading her legs with his thigh, then he was inside her, pumping hard and fast. “I want this pussy full of my cum.”

He was a machine, ramming into her, making her temperature rise from the inside out. Each time he came down, he hit her clit, moving his hips in precisely the right way to drive her wild with need.

“Come for me, baby. I can’t hold off.” He tugged her hair again for good measure. It worked. Her body detonated, catching her off guard. She cried out, a kaleidoscope of color and light dancing in her vision. Her pussy pulsed on and on and on, drawing out her pleasure.

When she finally opened her eyes again, Dog was staring down at her, his arms still hooked under her shoulders.

  “You’re amazing,” he said.

Sable felt a rush of guilt. “I heard what Honey said about me.”

“Is that why you wanted to give me a blowjob? Because of what your sister said?”

She shook her head. “No, it has nothing to do with it. But it’s just not something a sister should say, right?”

“She’s a spiteful bitch. You know why? Because she knows damn well you’re better than her. Any woman can open their legs for the club, but you saved yourself for me.”

“And you didn’t fall for her charms. Seems everyone else does.”

Her sister was beautiful with blonde hair, blue eyes, and the perfect figure. She had confidence for miles. All the boys loved her. Sable was older but forever in her shadow.

“I haven’t had an easy life. Sure, I have my pick of the women now that Forge is married, but I want the dream. I want to give my kids the life I never had. They deserve two parents who love each other. I have no eyes for club pussy, Sable. You, of all people, know who I really am.”

He was right. Dog was hard, cold, and aloof. Never a flirt with the girls. They’d been friends forever.

  She trusted him.

“I want my baby to know who their father is. I don’t want to live the life of my mother.”

“You never will, baby. You’re all mine. It’s just you and me.”

He kissed her lips, soft and tender. The moon replaced the sun in the sky, the air becoming cooler. Dog slipped out of her and hoisted her up to her feet. They washed up at the shore, then made their way to their clothing.

As they dressed, she watched the moonlight shimmer off the surface of the ocean. A new calm washed over her. Everything was coming together.

“Thank you for bringing me here, Dog. This has been one of the happiest days of my life.”

He cupped her face. “You know my loyalty is to the Hell’s Slaves. I’d never let Forge down. But my loyalty also belongs to you now.”

She couldn’t help but smile. He was the VP, the most sought-after male at the club. She knew how things worked. Becoming his old lady would be the ultimate honor. It was a dream come true.

“Will everything be okay? I hear what Forge keeps saying. It scares me.”

Forge kept mentioning how pissed off Hank was that she’d double-crossed him. And he believed Luther Grass would try to exact revenge on the Hell’s Slaves. The entire club was on lockdown, the gates shut tight with guards and patrols.

“Hank will never touch you again. You have no idea how hard it was for me letting that charade go on.”

“I hope it’s okay. The only reason I agreed to help was to save the club.”

  “The club will never die.”

They got to his bike and Dog swung his leg over it. She climbed on behind him, holding him tight.

She wouldn’t tell him, but she worried about the future. There was something about Hank that made shivers crawl up her spine. He made her feel small. His hatred for the Hell’s Slaves was intense and she doubted he’d let all this die, even if Grass had been a hardcore criminal. The evidence Forge and Dog had was probably the only reason neither of those jerks had acted yet.

They arrived back at the club in the dead of night. The spotlights highlighted the large gates. Dog set one foot down and revved his engine. The gates began to open.

She noticed something white in the darkness, and she pointed.

Dog rode to the right side of the gate and plucked the envelope pinned on the outer gate. He opened it as she watched over his shoulder. It was a photoshopped picture of a gravestone with her name etched on the rock. It had the words club whore for life written under her name. Her heart dropped.

He turned his head. “This means nothing.”

Dog parked the bike then stormed over to the gate with the letter in his hand. “Who the fuck was on the gate the past few hours?”

The boys kept pointing fingers. Redneck showed up when the arguing got loud.

“This was on our gates. That prick cop was able to get that close with not one of you assholes noticing?”

  They passed around the letter.

She didn’t get too close, but when Dog punched Ghost in the face, she knew he must have been on guard duty.

Even within the safety of the club, a new fear trickled through her system. They couldn’t hide her forever. Dog couldn’t be by her side twenty-four seven. Hank had gotten right to their gates, sending her a calling card, a warning of what was to come.

She’d only just found happiness, and she wasn’t sure how long she’d be able to keep it.

  Chapter Ten

There was no sign of Grass but that didn’t mean he wasn’t around somewhere. Dog knew he had to keep on looking for him. Hank was still serving on the force, but he’d taken to helping children across the road or visiting the local hospice. He was doing everything he could to appear the law-abiding citizen.

At the moment, they were staying out of his way, but as he straddled his bike and glanced over at the police station, he wanted to do nothing more than burn the place and watch it go up in flames.

With his glasses on, he caught sight of Hank leaving the station, a frown on his fac
e as he climbed into his car.

Forge came out as Dog started up his bike.

“You don’t need to go,” Forge said. “I’ve got a couple of my men tailing him.”

“You think it’s going to be enough?”

“I’ve got the men we need. You’ve got to start learning to trust them.”

He turned to his prez. “Would you trust them with Beth?”

“I trust the entire club with Beth, Dog. You need to learn to do the same.”

He snorted. “It’s not the same when half of the club doesn’t even want to be around her.” He ran a hand down his face. “I’m going to claim her. I want the club to know she belongs to me.” The ring he’d bought her still burned in his pocket.

Forge slapped him on the back. “I’ll be right there with you. You don’t have to wait to claim her. Not anymore.”

  “Why not?” he asked.

“If word gets out that you’ve claimed Sable, it might actually bring an end to this bullshit.”

“I’m not going to use her as bait.”

“You don’t have to. She’s been bait from the very beginning.”

Dog clenched his teeth. “I want to talk about Honey and Sweetheart. You’ve heard the shit they’re saying.”

“I’ve already talked to the men. Every man has turned them down. No one wants rotten pussy and that’s what they’ve become. They don’t want to believe they were in the wrong for doing what they did. I know Sable. She’s been part of this club her whole life. Her loyalty lies with us. She doesn’t need her parents to help her. She’s got us and that’s all that matters. We can take care of her. Beth’s told me about what her mother and sister are saying. I hear all and I see all. I’m going to take care of it. What she needs now is for you to be by her side. Don’t wait around until this mess with Hank and Grass is over. Do it now. I nearly lost Beth. My biggest regret was not letting her know how I felt sooner.”

“I’m not the kind of guy who shares his feelings.”

“You think I am? I can share my anger, show my fury, but when it comes to love, I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing. It’s all a messed-up blur.” He shook his head. “The truth is we only get one life and I don’t want to hear of or see you wasting it. It’s not right. Take what you want. Love that woman, and in the end, she’ll be coming back to you, always.”
