“We’d also like a restraining order granted, Your Honor,” Jerry cut in, holding up some more papers. “I filed already, and hoped it could be granted once you threw this out and saw how far Mr. Donovan is willing to go over normal boundaries.”
“Granted,” the judge agreed after a moment. “Six months. Mr. Donovan .Stay away from Ms. Washington, and learn from this that beautiful women aren’t idiots just because you think so.” He muttered the rest under his breath, but I caught it. “My daughter certainly isn’t.”
Nice.
He finished up what was needed and hit the gavel. Dad immediately turned to Mr. Donovan and muttered under his breath, looking pissed like Donovan hadn’t filled him in on everything.
Well, that was what happened when he took asshole clients. He spun on his heel after collecting his papers and briefcase and finally saw me.
“Ashton, what are you doing here?” he demanded.
I felt Meave move closer and it helped me find my spine. “I tried to tell you I knew something about this case. I work for Ms. Washington. She hired Clay’s mom to do the renovation.” I raised an eyebrow at him. “Still think I’m a stupid kid who wants to play adult when I tried to warn you there was a conflict of interest?”
“He said that?” Meave seethed. “Great dad, really.”
“This is who you’re working for?” Dad asked, giving her a once-over in his dismissive way—but I saw the interest. Any man with a pulse would be interested in Meave. “Abby didn’t tell me it was still going on.”
“Well, geez, maybe try talking to your son instead of the stranger you left to inappropriately hit on him—I mean, raise him,” Meave drawled, smiling when I snorted.
He narrowed his eyes at her. “Clearly, you’ve not had a good influence on my son. His employment with you is terminated as of this moment.”
She didn’t even flinch, giving him an amused, placating look. “Sorry, he’s eighteen and signed a six-month contract. I’m sure you understand as a lawyer how important actual signed and paper contracts are, not just bullshit pulled out of someone’s ass that’s called a verbal one.”
“I want to see this at once. He would never sign anything without checking with me first.”
“When would I be able to?” I jumped in, pissed he was treating Meave like this. “I don’t go to you for any of that. Abby signs school stuff and goes to parental meetings. I’m handling college stuff—”
“College is already decided,” he cut in, giving me a look to shut up like I was embarrassing him. “I’ve handled it and where you’ll be playing.”
“Damn, you were right,” Meave sighed, giving Jerry a quick glance.
The attorney nodded. “It’s not the first time I’ve helped someone whose family sees them as a commodity or possession of theirs. I’ll take my winnings in muffins, if you please.”
“Yes, dear,” Meave chuckled, squaring off with my dad. “You’ll need to turn all of your communications and illegal whatever you’ve been doing behind Ash’s back, as he’s an adult, and you cannot actually make decisions for him just because you’re his father.
“The contract Ash signed names Jerry his attorney, and as there is no power of attorney filed for you to act on his behalf, you had no right to.”
“What did you sign?” Dad seethed, reaching for me. But Meave was faster, sliding in front of me so he’d grab her, and he backed off in time. “I will have him out of that contract in seconds. He lives under my roof, and is my son.”
“You won’t, actually, so don’t pull the parent card now,” Jerry cut in, anger in his own eyes. “And if you try to take this to court, we have enough evidence to humiliate you including how rarely you even reside in the same house as your son—instead, leaving him with a woman who has made her intentions clear that Ash is a bonus for putting up with your cheating ways.”
“She admitted as much to me, and that she watches him shower,” Meave added. “That she was waiting until he was eighteen to take him for a ride.
“So maybe get your house in order before you dare to dictate to your son much of anything. Who the fuck do you think you are, deciding his life and future without even discussing it with him? You actually talked to schools without even telling him?”
“You do understand how the law works, yes?” Jerry cut in. “Because that is grounds for being disbarred, and I will find all the evidence, as schools like to cover their asses, and won’t show you any loyalty if they don’t get Ash in the deal.”
“He’ll do what he’s told,” Dad snapped, giving me a death look. “I’ve done everything for you. Make the right choice, because you are eighteen, and can get tossed out on your ass if you act like an ungrateful shit.”
“Wow, nice, Dad,” I whispered, destroyed this was what it all came to. “Mom’s turning over in her grave. It’s not bad enough you replaced her with a bitch who preyed on your son, but you didn’t even care if she did, as long as she turned a blind eye to your cheating. Fuck you.”
“Fuck me?” he about snarled. “You have the balls to say that to me? I’m your father, and you will obey me.”
“That’s just biology, not a debt. I didn’t agree to the apparent terms you think you get with a child,” I answered, deciding to drop the last bomb. I hugged Meave to me and kissed her hair. “I found a real family, and unlike you, I’m loyal.
“And unlike you, she loves me, so don’t bother kicking me out, because I’m gone. You fucking deal with your bitch wife, and we’re done.”
“You seduced my son?” The rage and darkness in his eyes made me flinch, but then amusement joined it.
“Before you even try to start on any crazy, here is the proof Ms. Washington bought the house after your son was already eighteen, and the legal age of consent is actually seventeen in Colorado so you’re aware,” Jerry said, holding up something for Dad to see.
Steam about came out of Dad’s ears as Jerry clearly won. He narrowed his eyes at me. “Idiot. You fucking idiot. You won’t get anywhere without me. I could have given you everything, all your dreams, and instead, you choose a piece of ass.”
I moved Meave behind me and squared off with my dad—an inch taller and already more built than him.
“You talk about her like that again, and we’re going to have more than an argument. The only person you have to blame is yourself. You disgust me, and have from the moment Mom got sick.
“I’m glad to be free of you and those dreams. I’m not playing football. I already told the scouts that. I will find my own dreams, my own path, and one that’s not embarrassing to the Perry name, like you are.”
I saw the punch coming and didn’t dodge it. I was more than willing to take it to seal the final nail in the coffin of my relationship with my dad. It didn’t hurt nearly as much as other punches or hits I’d taken, and that was probably because of Meave’s charm.
All hell broke loose then, and the bailiff came racing over to take my dad into custody, having witnessed the assault. My father tried to talk his way out of it, but all I did was smirk at him. His eyes filled with rage as he realized I’d egged him into hitting me with witnesses.
Yeah, he was violent like that. He’d never done anything remotely like that with me before, but like smacking me in the head too hard whenever he could, which was rarely since I saw him. But he still did it.
“Let’s get you cleaned out of your house while he’s in lockup so he doesn’t get a chance to be petty,” Meave muttered after she checked my face. “I’m sure there’s some stuff of your mom’s you want.”
I blinked at her, still reeling from how this all went down. “I didn’t even ask if I can live with you. I’m so sorry. I just—I hit my limit.”
“I know.” She pulled my head down and kissed me. “You better fucking move in with me. You’re mine, after all.”
“Damn right I am,” I agreed, hugging her tightly. Shit, I was thrilled. I’d get to wake up to her every morning. This wasn’t a disaster, but a blessing, and the excuse I ne
eded to be with her for real.
Hells yeah.
Epilogue
Six Years Later
Meave
“Oh fuck, shit, baby, yeah, don’t stop,” I moaned as Ash feasted on me. I came with a cry, my back bowing it was so damn good that my toes curled. “Wow, Ash. You just get better and better at that.”
He chuckled as he kissed up my body. “I did promise to eat my woman out every morning I woke up with her when you demanded I moved in. I am a man of my word.” He lapped at my nipples until I squirmed under him. “Every morning, I feast on your juicy pussy before we get up and feed the kids.”
“It’s a good routine,” I purred, wrapping my legs around him and rolling us so I was on top. “Maybe we’ll have some hot sex before my mean business manager makes me get to work.”
“Bite your tongue,” he growled, sitting up and sliding out of bed with me wrapped around him. “I am not mean to you. I’m doing my job and keeping the work coming in, making sales for your companies. I just landed a new deal for your co-op of social media influencers.”
“You mean your co-op,” I whispered as I stared into his eyes. “You just used my name to get it going. The idea was all yours, baby, and I’m so proud of you for the work you did.
“Building a group of medium-sized social media influencers to offer to advertisers instead of ridiculously paying a million dollars to the top per post was genius.”
“Thank you for believing in me, Meave,” he rasped, kissing me gently before setting me on the counter. “Thank you for loving me and accepting me as your familiar.”
“Thank you for wanting to be.” I leaned over and swatted his fine ass. “Go feed the kids.”
“Bossy woman,” he teased me, smirking as he strutted off. Ash had only gotten more handsome as he aged. He didn’t play football during college, but he did still workout like he did, and he did some pickup games with his high school friends that always made him smile.
He’d been so through so much, and still never lost his kindness, and it made me love him all the more. It took us five years to agree to become familiar and witch, but it was the right move. He was mine forever, and I was his.
I burst out laughing when he was mobbed by our “kids” as he walked out the back. It was warm enough to leave them outside at night, and they enjoyed it. We had twenty rescued dogs, and the land for all of them to be happy on.
After Ash graduated college, we bought a bigger place a bit further outside of Colorado Springs, and with forty acres this time.
It was a smart upgrade, and this time, the renovations were done before we even moved in. We hadn’t sold the old place. I don’t know that we could, with all the memories and love that was there.
Right now, three witches who needed a safe haven the way I had lived there under my protection. I worked with them, and it gave me hope that it wasn’t just some rebels who practiced light magic, but a movement.
Maybe. One could hope, right?
Either way, my parents weren’t an issue anymore. His dad never got his way, and Ash doesn’t even speak to him anymore. Both of us are happier for it.
“What are you talking about work today?” Ash asked as he came back inside. “It’s Saturday, woman.”
I shivered at the heat in his eyes. “Oh, is it?”
He pursed his lips and tried to give me the stink eye. “You know it’s date night. Who are you summoning?”
I shrugged, acting like it didn’t matter to me, but I tingled at the fun I was hoping for. “I thought maybe the spirit with the anal sex fetish.”
He snorted. “Which one?”
That was pretty fair, but I eyed him over like my next meal. “The female who helped me find out how much you like your prostate played with.”
“Shit, Meave,” he groaned, and was on me moments later. He tore off my nightgown and bent me over the counter, slamming into me the second he pulled out his cock. “Does my greedy woman want to dominate her man tonight? You going to let that spirit possess you and do everything to me, huh? Is that what you want?”
“Yeah, yeah I do,” I moaned, moving my body to meet his. “All of you is mine, and I want to play with you tonight. You going to let me?”
“When have I ever said no to you?” he growled, leaning over and massaging my tits. He pinched my nipples hard until I squealed for him. “Next week, we should summon the one that makes you scream so loud you lose your voice. Tied up and shocking you all over until you drip all over yourself.”
“Dirty boy,” I moaned.
“I’m your dirty boy forever,” he grunted as he picked up the pace. We finished together, and he held me to him as he stood up. “Forever, Meave. It’s us forever.”
“Yeah, it is. Who knew that would be the outcome when a brat ran over my mower because he was getting pics of my tits from some bitch who claimed they were hers?”
“Fate knew we needed to find each other.”
I couldn’t have said it better… Even if fate was a bit messed up at times.

Undisclosed Assets: Untraceable Succubus 1
A succubus working as a stripper sounds like a cliché or start of a bad joke, but Lola Chase is in a human only province in Canada for other
reasons. Someone is murdering women society looks down on, and she’s there to stop it. As a demon, she’s bottom of the supernatural food chain and knows how often people ignore crimes against them.
From the start there isn’t much to go on, and she ends up getting in a bit of trouble following any leads she gets. Things get complicated when an ancient, big name vampire takes interest in her and getting away from him proves to be much harder than her normal admirers.
Thankfully, although her cover is a stripper, Lola loves to dance and the fun she has helps balance out the stress and worry of the case.
Plus, she finds some very hot men to play with and feed from. The question is whether or not she can balance it all and find a murderer before he kills again.
Untraceable Succubus is a murder mystery series where the sex is hot and often and the main character kicks some serious ass on the road to finding out if she can have real love in her life even if it comes from multiple men.

No Longer Home: House of Garner 1
My name is Inez Garner, and my story has sort of been told… But not. I’m turning twenty-three and find out I’m not human; I’m apparently a vampire. Sure, who hasn’t read that story? Oh, but I’m a princess. And there’s a zombie apocalypse—although I’m debating where the line is of apocalypse vs. post-apocalypse. There’s also a quest that I’m compelled to be on, and it might all be coming from the Goddess.
Awesome. It seems She has big plans for me. And I have to deal with ghosts. When I kill corrupted—the nice PC name people call zombies, as it’s not their fault they eat people—I then have to deal with their ghosts. Which is super when being hunted for years by some guys I don’t want to know better.
