On the Same Page (Secrets Book 4) Page 7

by K. C. Wells

“Ready to take this dick?” Xavier asked in a low voice.

Heath pulled free of the solid cock, knelt up, and grabbed a condom from where Xavier had left them on the bedside cabinet. Once the latex clung to Xavier’s cock, Heath coated it liberally with lube before reaching back to wipe the residue over his hole. He shuffled forward and straddled Xavier’s body, leaning toward him for a kiss.

Xavier cradled Heath’s head as their lips met, and Heath sighed with pleasure as Xavier eased his cock between Heath’s cheeks. Their fingers touched as they both guided the thick shaft to Heath’s hole, and he shivered at the first push of firm flesh into him. Xavier paused when he was fully seated, and Heath took a moment to breathe. “God, that is hard.”

“All the better to fuck you with,” Xavier said with a smile.

Heath snickered. “I hate to break it to you, but I don’t read those sorts of books.”

Xavier laughed. “I can see why. Definitely no fucking in fairy tales. You prefer books with heat.” He pulled out a little, then thrust up into Heath, taking his breath away. “And cocks.” Another hard drive of his dick. “And passion.” He drove up all the way into Heath’s body, and Heath was in heaven. Xavier pulled his cheeks apart, stretching him wide, and Heath rocked slowly back and forth on that granite shaft, his own dick hard and leaking precome, smacking against his belly with each roll of his hips. When Xavier curled his fingers around it and tugged on it, Heath moaned out loud.

Then Xavier grabbed hold of Heath’s waist and took over, thrusting into him, pumping his hips as he fucked Heath with increasing speed.

“Oh yes,” Heath cried out, arching his back, aware of nothing but heat and hardness and hands that held him firm while Xavier filled him to the hilt.

“Your turn,” Xavier gasped out. “Rock on it. Feel it all the way inside you.”

Heath could only nod as he slowed down the pace and rode Xavier’s dick, loving the way air was punched from his lungs with each spear of that solid shaft inside him, the way Xavier’s gaze was locked on Heath’s face.

“Roll over,” Xavier ground out. “I want this arse high.”

Heath complied, spreading his legs wide and tilting his arse up to receive Xavier’s cock. He groaned as Xavier filled him again and again, his body slamming into Heath’s backside with every thrust, Xavier’s fingers digging into Heath’s shoulder as he held him steady, his other hand pushing down on the small of Heath’s back.

  “Oh, fuck, yes!”

Xavier pushed him down onto the bed, then speared his dick down into Heath’s body, pulling all the way out of him, then repeating the action before mounting him, his hand on the back of Heath’s neck.

It was as if he’d reached into Heath’s mind and pulled out every fantasy, every hot little thought that had ever flitted through his brain. The way he alternated between fucking Heath with quick, deep thrusts, to slow glides into him, a gentle rocking that brought Heath right to the edge. He covered Heath with his body, his lips on Heath’s neck, while he snapped his hips back and forth, driving his cock into Heath, their bodies slapping together, Heath’s dick trapped against the mattress beneath him just as he was trapped by Xavier’s weight.

Xavier tugged at Heath’s earlobe, his hands holding Heath’s wrists to the bed. “Is this what you wanted? Pinned to the bed while I drive my dick into your arse?”

  “God, yes,” Heath moaned.

Xavier wrapped his arm around Heath, his face at Heath’s neck. “And what if I said… it can get even better?”

Heath stilled beneath him. “What… what do you mean?”

Xavier pulled out of him, flipped him onto his back, and tugged him toward the edge of the bed. He lifted Heath’s legs up onto his shoulders once more before slowly filling him with his dick. “What if we take your books—” A leisurely thrust into him made Heath moan with pleasure, and he tugged on his own dick, his climax now in sight. “—and make them a reality?” Another thrust, only this time stronger, more forceful. “Wherever you want. A stable, a dungeon, anywhere with a flat surface….”

Heath struggled to focus his mind on Xavier’s words. “I don’t understand.”

Xavier smiled. “You will.” He shuddered. “I’m close.” His movement sped up.

“Me too.” Heath moved his hand faster, heat racing through him, unable to ignore that tingling in his balls, in his dick.

“Then do it. Come.” Xavier leaned over him until their faces were almost touching. “I want to see you come.” He gave a hard thrust and stilled within Heath, his gaze locked on him.

Like Heath could hold on any longer.

He gripped his cock as come spattered both of them, shivering from the force of it. Xavier kissed him, taking Heath’s moans as each jolt of his orgasm dragged him nearer to the end.

Heath didn’t want this to finish.

Xavier caressed his cheek, then dragged a finger over Heath’s chest, coating it in come. “My turn,” he whispered. Xavier propped himself up on his arms and began to move again, only this time his hips jerked as he filled Heath with shallow thrusts, his breathing rapid and erratic. It wasn’t long before he shuddered again, and his promise to Heath was fulfilled with every throb of that meaty cock inside him.

Heath reached up and locked his arms around Xavier’s neck to pull him down into a long, fervent kiss, their bodies jolted by the remnants of their climax. They didn’t stop kissing until Heath’s heartbeat had resumed its natural rhythm, and he lay in Xavier’s arms.

Heath had never felt so torn. This wonderful sensation of being sated and at peace was new, and he wanted to hold on to it for as long as possible. But Xavier’s words had created questions, and Heath wanted answers.

And then there was Xavier himself.

There was no doubt in Heath’s mind that when it came to sex, Xavier was streets ahead of every other lover Heath had ever taken. But it was more than that, and Heath was aware of the frisson of disquiet that rippled its way through him.

I could fall for you so easily. He knew it with all his heart. What bothered him was the speed of it all. How did you do this? How did you find a way in, when no one else has even gotten close?

Because Xavier could break his heart just as quickly.

  Chapter Eight

OKAY. I really like how this feels.

They’d showered, and Heath had changed the sheets, so the scent of fresh cotton enveloped them. Heath was in Xavier’s arms, giving every indication of being totally blissed out. Now and again a soft hum emerged from his lips. It was adorable. Xavier toyed with Heath’s hair and stroked his beard, content to lie there and enjoy the moment. He loved the way Heath felt, the way their bodies curled together, the gentle rise and fall of Heath’s chest with each breath, the sparkle in his eyes when he thought Xavier wasn’t looking.

How long has it been since I enjoyed this? Not just the sex, which had been off-the-charts hot, but simply the closeness of another human being next to him? Two years? Three? More? If he were honest, Xavier couldn’t even remember the last time. He thought back and realized that one by one, the years had slipped into the void. He was fast approaching forty-four, and for the most part, he was alone in the world. He’d allowed his friendships with the men at the club to lapse, because there were too many things to be done on his climb up the corporate ladder. His personal life had withered and died a slow, painful death.

Heath snuggled up to him with a sigh, and Xavier pushed aside his self-recrimination. Was it wrong to want to hold on to this feeling for another precious few minutes? It was the closest he’d come to feeling like himself in years. He gave a light tug on Heath’s hair, and his heart swelled. This is not going to be a one-night thing. Except wanting more was like reaching for the impossible, and he knew it. The stresses of his job, the long hours he put in every night, his frequent traveling…. None of that would be fair to Heath.

“Xavier?” Heath ran his hand over Xav’s chest, letting his fingers slide through the hair.
/>   God, that felt good. “Hm?”

“You said we could make my books….” Heath’s voice softened. “You know what? Never mind.”

Xavier reacted quickly, rolling them until Heath lay beneath him. Xavier propped himself up on his forearms. “Oh no. You don’t get away with that. I said we could make your books a reality, and it’s got you thinking. Am I right?”

Heath’s sheepish smile was sweet. “Yeah. You’ve got me all curious.” Except the way his breathing caught told Xavier that their present position was a distraction. As much as he hated to do it, Xav sat up and leaned back against the pillows, gesturing for Heath to do the same. What they needed right then was a little distance.

He looked Heath in the eye. “I assume you know what role-play is.”

Heath nodded, his eyes wide. “But I don’t understand—”

“What if we—you and I—were to act out the scenes in your books? Or, maybe create our own little scenarios?”

“Create….” Heath regarded him with frank interest.

Encouraged, Xavier continued. “Think about it. You like the books with Malcolm and Byerley, right? So… what if we were to make our own scenes?” He grinned. “Maybe I’m the lord of the manor, who comes home to find you, my stable boy, loafing around, not doing his job.”

  Heath’s breathing stuttered. “Oh God.”

Xavier nodded, getting into the idea. “Imagine if I were to punish you. Then I decide to fuck you, still keeping in character. Except, after the sex, there would have to be cuddles. Just so you know.”

  “We’d pretend… to be them?”

Xavier chuckled. “When you’re reading those books, you lose yourself in them, don’t you? You wish you were there. You want to be part of the action.”

“I let my imagination run riot. What happens between my ears is always sexier than what really happens between the sheets.” A blush crept up Heath’s neck, into his cheeks. He looked beautiful. “Until now.”

Xavier’s chest swelled. “I think I’ve just been complimented.”

Heath snorted. “There’s no ‘think’ about it.”

“Then thank you. But let me ask you a question. Do you masturbate to the books?”

Heath’s mouth opened slightly. He darted his tongue out and moistened his lips. “I’ve often done it while putting myself in Malcolm’s shoes. I’ve imagined the feel of my lord’s hand on my arse, or him pushing into me, using me to slake his desires.” His eyes widened. “But the men always take care of each other. I don’t want you to think it’s one-sided,” he hastened to add.

All too often, Xavier had seen guys who thought they were sick or demented because they wanted to give themselves over to a man. To let him take the lead, to submit. He didn’t want that for Heath, not at all.

He reached across and stroked Heath’s cheek. “I know. I’ve been a Dom since before I understood what the word meant. I like being in charge, the feeling of having my partner—my sub—look to me for direction. I get off on that. And I think my desires and your needs could mesh quite nicely.”

Heath chewed his bottom lip. “Not that I’m saying yes, because I’m not.”

  “You’re not saying no either.”

A slight grin. “No, definitely not saying that.”

“All right. Now it’s your turn. Tell me how all this sounds to you. Does it interest you at all? If it doesn’t, we can pretend I never mentioned it.”

Heath widened his eyes. “No, I… I like how it sounds. Until tonight, I never realized those things were anything more than a creation of a writer’s imagination. I mean, BDSM is a whole genre, and there are thousands of books out there, but I’d always assumed it was strictly fantasy, like the… films you see online.”

“Films and books barely scratch the surface of how rich and vibrant the lifestyle can be.” Xavier speared Heath with a look. “And when you say ‘films,’ you mean porn, don’t you?” He shook his head. “Forget what you’ve seen. Reality is more like what you saw at the club.” From the floor, Xav’s phone buzzed. He glanced over at Heath’s clock, and groaned. “I need to go.”

Heath blinked. “What? Why? You can stay.”

That one statement was enough to give Xavier pause. He could stay. Heaven knew he wanted to. How amazing would it be to go to sleep with Heath in his arms, or to wake up with him the next morning? But logic gave him a hard prod. Xav had an early meeting, and Heath had to open the store and….

Xavier sighed heavily. “I wish I could, but there are too many things going on at work tomorrow, and there’s stuff I need to finish up at home before I go in.”

Disappointment flickered across Heath’s face. “Oh, okay.”

His tone made Xavier’s stomach clench. He tucked a knuckle under Heath’s chin and lifted it gently until they were looking into one another’s eyes. “You don’t know how much I want to stay here with you. This has been the best night I’ve had in far too long.” Xavier poured every ounce of sincerity into his voice, willing Heath to hear the truth in what he said.

Heath didn’t break eye contact. “Me too.”

Xavier hated his job right then. He came to a swift decision. “Tell you what…. This is a busy week at work, but if you’re up for it, we could get together next weekend. We could go to the club, and I could introduce you to some people. Maybe we can get a room and try out what we’ve been talking about.”

  “One of those private rooms?”

  Xavier nodded.

  “For a… role-play?”

The practicalities of such a situation tugged at him. “Of course, there is a codicil here.”

  Heath snorted. “Isn’t there always?”

“Cheeky bugger. Seriously, one thing you don’t usually see in BDSM books is the discussion of limits, of what each person is into. When you’re putting your body in someone else’s hands, you do it with the confidence that you can trust them to respect your wishes.”

Heath smiled. “So we don’t do anything until we’ve talked some more. I like that.”

Relief flooded through Xavier. He’s got his head on straight. “So, I suggest next Saturday night, after you close, we go out for dinner and talk.”

“And after dinner and talking?” Heath’s eyes shone.

“I was thinking… my place? And maybe you staying the night?” Xavier wanted that so badly, he could practically taste it.

Heath’s smile was infectious. “Yes to both those suggestions.”

“Then Sunday night, we can go to the club.” Xavier had to tell Heath the truth. “I don’t want you to get the wrong idea, especially after I took you there tonight. The party I invited you to? That was the first time in years that I’d visited the club, but some of the guys I knew are still there. I’d really like you to meet them, so you can get a feel of what the lifestyle is like for different people.”

“Why did you leave it so long?”

Heath’s earnest question had him telling the truth. “Life got in the way, I guess. Seeing it all again brought back to me how much I’ve missed that world.”

Heath nodded slowly. “Then yes, I’d like to go back there. Now that I know Secrets exists, I’m eager to learn more about that—your—world.”

Xav’s heartbeat sped up at Heath’s words. And I want to show you. For now, though, Heath needed sleep, and Xav had to get home to his mountain of paperwork. “This week is going to drag by. I just know it.”

Heath patted the bed. “We can always put off our goodbyes a little longer.” He tilted his head. “I’ve never asked anyone to stay the night, and now I wish I had the words to make you not have to leave.”

Xav groaned as he stood. “Damn, you’re good for my ego. Not to mention being the devil in disguise, the way you tempt me.”

Heath gave a throaty chuckle. “Why can’t I be a bit of both?”

Xav pulled Heath to his feet, leaned in, and brushed their lips together. Heath opened for Xav, as if silently demanding him to kiss Heath like he meant it. It was a demand X
avier was incapable of ignoring. As he stood there, plundering Heath’s mouth, the sobering thought that filled Xavier’s head was that he didn’t want to go home.

Not if it meant being alone again.

THE BELL over the door rang, followed by Dave’s booming voice. “Good morning, Mr. Snow!”

“And a very good one it is.” The shop was still empty—it was rare to have a customer that early on a Monday morning, even if it was Pride Week.

Dave put the pastries box on the counter, then went to pour himself a cup of coffee, as was his custom. “How was your weekend?”

Heath shifted on his chair. His arse still ached, and he couldn’t help grinning to himself at the memory of what had caused it.

“Ooh, now there’s a smile I’ve never seen before. Who was he?”

Heath flashed Dave a mock scowl that he couldn’t maintain before giving up all idea of hiding. “His name is Xavier. He… we went out and it was….” There wasn’t an adjective that adequately conveyed Heath’s feelings. Transcendent? Life-changing? “Nice.”

Dave snorted. “Trust me, that’s not the look of someone who had a nice night.”

  “And how would you know?”

It was Dave’s turn to smile. “Because after the weekend I had with Daria, I know the look.”

She’d taken Heath’s advice? Good for her. “Oh?”

Dave took a sip, winced, put in two packets of sugar, then tried again. This time he sighed and leaned against the counter. “I thought the concert would be a one-off. We’d go out, she’d say thanks, and that would be it. When I dropped her off, I did my best to be the perfect gentleman, and she seemed so surprised by that.” He grinned. “Then she called and asked me out. We went to a museum, and it was great. We were walking around, looking at paintings, when she took my hand and laced our fingers together. I didn’t comment, just gave her a squeeze. When I took her home that night, I think she figured I was going to do something, but….” He blew over the surface of his coffee. “I don’t want to be like every other guy she’s gone out with. I like Daria, and what’s more, I respect her. I know she thinks she’s going to have to be on her guard, wondering when I’m going to make my move, but the thing is, I’m not. If she wants more, she has to tell me.”
