there’s still work to do.” She responds, “I love it. I watch GH every night. I can’t wait to watch it every day. That’s a good sign, right? I can only assume everyone else feels that way.”

Is there anyone on GH Alderson would like to match wits with onscreen? “I’ve always watched GH,” she reminds me. “And I’ve always said that Anthony Geary is amazing. We haven’t had any scenes at all but it would be such an honour to work with that kind of talent.”

You have, Kristen — his name is Trevor St. John!

Alderson laughs when I suggest Starr take down Sonny. After all, Starr learned from the best: Victor Lord. Jr. (No, not Todd Manning!) “That would be the best,” she laughs! “But Starr kind of did give Sonny hell… yes, it wasn’t permanent….”

  • Is Trey Joe and Kate’s son? In this week’s DIGEST, Richard Steinmetz says he doesn’t know but he wouldn’t be surprised. So what does he know? “[Head writer] Ron Carlivati has come up with such a terrific character for me and a juicy storyline. I can’t get my scripts fast enough! I’m absolutely overjoyed.” Well, I’m glad someone is. Let’s see how long this Scully arc lasts…

  • Daytime Emmy-nominated actor Sean Blakemore is back on GH beginning July 12. Expect a major storyline for the talented hunk. He tells DIGEST, “I was away for a while doing a movie, and when I got back, Frank [Valentini, executive producer] told me that the writers really wanted to figure out something good for me. They are revamping some things and reconfiguring things.” Good. I love Blakemore; and think he’s an exciting actor. Too bad Y&R didn’t cast Blakemore as nuMalcolm. Well, it’s not too late, right? FYI: The movie Blakemore just wrapped was none other than the STAR TREK sequel so who knows how long he’ll stick around soaps.

  • Emmy winner Jane Elliot is speaking out like never before. The press-shy vet follows up her entertaining but informative interview with Michael Logan in TV GUIDE MAGAZINE with another feature in next week’s DIGEST. Can’t wait. I pray Elliot submits herself as Outstanding Supporting Actress next year. It’ll be a battle between Robin Mattson and Elliot! May the best soap bitch win!
