Made for Him Page 10

by Lynn Hagen

As Jude held the tiny bundle against him, listening to how strong his son’s lungs were, he looked up at Reese. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to name him after my father.”

Reese kissed Jude’s forehead. “Whatever you want, sweetheart. Whatever the hell you want.”

“So what’s his name?” Moose asked, a bright smile plastered on his face. “Tell me it’s Moose or my real name, John Zitelli.”

Jude frowned. “Your name is John?”

  Moose nodded.

  “For fuck’s sake,” Jude groaned.

Reese stared wide-eyed at Jude. “Are you shittin’ me?”

Aiden burst out laughing. “Let me guess, your father’s name was John.”

Jude groaned. He was never gonna live this down as far as Moose was concerned. The giant had the nerve to hoot and clap his hands as he grinned at Jude and winked. “I’ll be a real good godparent to the little bugger.”

“Over my dead body,” Jude snarled.

“You can always call him Aiden,” the bear shifter said.

“You can all get out of here,” Reese snapped. “His name is gonna be Jonathan Reese Baas.” He glared at Moose. “And he’s not named after you.”

“Whatever helps you sleep at night.” Moose chuckled. “He’s gonna at least call me Uncle Moose.”

  Jude could live with that.

Reese glared at Aiden. “Get him out of here before I have to kick his giant ass.”

Jude looked up at his mate. “I love you. I never got a chance to tell you that.” It still terrified Jude to think of how close he’d come to dying, of how he would’ve never laid eyes on Reese again. The shifter had come to mean everything to Jude, and he loved Reese with all his heart.

Reese grinned. “I already know you love me. How can you not?”

Great. Jude was surrounded by morons. “Just get us home.”

Reese pressed a kiss to Jude’s lips, his playful expression gone. “I’m so damn proud of you, sweetheart. You not only stayed alive but you brought our son into the world.”

Jude looked down at their son, and tears filled his eyes once again. The little boy was perfect in every way, and Jude planned on spoiling him rotten, just as Reese had done for him. When he looked up, Reese kissed him so thoroughly that Jude hadn’t a doubt in his mind that his mate loved him.

But he still wasn’t letting his mate get away with the comment about how Jude couldn’t resist loving him.

Jude narrowed his eyes. “While I appreciate the sentiments, next time you get to be pregnant.”

Reese chuckled as a sparkle of humor filled his green eyes. “Whatever the hell you want.”
