“Relax, Cora,” he said, and his calmness rushed over me. “Never been with anyone, as you know, and you’re not in heat. We’re fine.”
“I’m not in heat? Wait… that’s right. Kathy mentioned you could scent it.” I’d been too lost in the moment to really think of anything other than my mate.
“Exactly.” He rubbed his nose against my shoulder in a gentle caress. “We can’t make a pup yet.”
