Mated to the Alpha Wolves Page 12

by Anastasia Chase

He and Jack still continued to argue now and then, but the source of their contention had grown smaller, more important. The details of a hunt or how to remodel the cabin, not on minor things like they used to. I was sure that with time, he would grow a little more serious.

Jack, the surveyor and judge of all things. He was once bossy to a fault, ordering his brothers around without giving much thought to their ideas. He had softened a little since then, discovering that he could ask for help on occasion instead of shouldering all of the burden by himself. I couldn't imagine that things hadn't been easy for him since they had decided to leave their pack, making decisions for his younger brothers to keep them alive, but the subtle changes had definitely made them more comfortable to speak with him on their concerns.

And Zack... the shy guy who couldn't get through a sentence without stumbling over his words. He was still a work in progress, not the smooth, charismatic man he wanted to be, but I had shown him that he didn't have to. That he was fine the way he already was, and it was more important to be himself than to try and woo a woman with lines taken from every movie he had seen. That had been enough to help his confidence grow, and instead of trying to force himself into a hole not fit for him, he had built his own path into the sweet, caring man I knew today.

I groaned as I sat up, heavy with the weight in my belly. My hand caressed the small mound and I smiled at the future that was waiting for us. A new child would be brought into the world, a pup that I could call my very own. A pup that I no doubt knew these men would love and cherish.

Or maybe two. It was hard to tell at this point, but what a delight it would be if I had twins. Or even triplets. We could start building a pack of our very own.

I had somewhere to belong with people that loved me. What else could I ask for?

  About Anastasia Chase

My name is Anastasia Chase and I live in Houston, Texas with my hubby-bear-shifter and two bear cubs. I found my passion writing while in college, which is also where I met my husband. My husband and I release each book together; I do the writing and he helps me with the marketing. Together we make a great team, except when we argue over which font to use!

My goal is to achieve financial independence using my writing. I want to be able to put out works that my daughters are proud of, and that readers enjoy. I know life can be rough at times, and we all need an escape from reality once in a while. That’s what I try to offer with my books: a chance to put a pause on your life for a few hours to get lost in the romance.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my works!

  Leave A Review

There is no way for me to write better stories unless I know what my readers think in the first place, so believe me when I say you would be doing me a HUGE favor! Please keep in mind I am a self-published independent author. I started Stamps Publishing with the dream of one day helping new authors achieve their dreams. So any help you can give me goes a super long way, believe me.
