The President's Agenda Page 2

“Very well indeed,” he replied. “Your undercover gun program supplied thousands of weapons to the drug cartels, which will use them to overrun the border guards and upset the balance of power along the Border States.” He raised his cup as a salute to the President.

Naceri finally spoke up. “Keep the pressure on the military to remove all troops from the Middle East. That will give us a strong position to influence the people that we need for the cause. We are already making important connections in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. They will follow our lead, as they are too weak to do otherwise. Syria, Libya and Somalia are falling apart giving us a strong position within these countries. With America out of the way, the Middle East will belong to us”

“Damn them!” shouted Defense Secretary, Gilbert. There is no way that I will allow that to happen.”

“You had better talk to Israel, General,” respond Aiden. We are going to need their help on this. Tell them to ignore the President's proposals to them and prepare for the worst.”

The Professor spoke next. “Mr. President, keep the oil companies from drilling in the U.S., or offshore. This will force American oil companies to continue buying from our partner countries and that will enable us to build a powerful war chest.”

“Yes, inserted Sabat, “Keep promoting taxes for the rich. If you keep them off balance, they will not expand the economy and unemployment will grow to an unsustainable level, bringing much turmoil among the workers. The workers need to believe that you are on their side against the big rich corporations.”

“If you can manage another term as President, the American worker will be so weak that they will gladly embrace our cause and over throw America's capitalistic way of life,” said the Iranian president.

“It will not be long when we will position you as the world leader, and our supporters will be the force behind you. Christianity will die and Islam shall be first in the world and prosper. Allah Akbar!” exclaimed the Professor.

“Allah Akbar!,” exclaimed the others, except Sabat, who was not interested in the religious side of the movement.

Stephen spoke up, as the group at the other end of the video stopped to partake in the lunch sandwiches and tea. “Now gentlemen, you know why I brought this to your attention.”

“What are we going to do about this?” asked Gavin. “I certainly have a lot of work to do to keep the President from decimating the military. A weakened military is a weakened America”

Duncan turned to Barry, “I think that we have cause to arrest the President for treason.” Turning to Aiden, he inquired, “Can we make copies of this meeting?”

“They will be ready by the time you get back to your office.”

His mind was working overtime, when Duncan stated, “I will start the necessary paperwork, as soon as I get back. This is going to be a very long night”

As the men at Langley were still deciding on a course of action, the President stood, indicating that the meeting was at a close. “I thank you for coming. I will do my best to get re-elected by confusing the people with rhetoric and false accusations.”

“The one world order is about to begin under Allah,” commented the Professor as he shook the President’s hand.

“Let me know what kind of financial help you’ll need, and I’ll make it happen,” Sabat said as he headed for the door.

“Masoud," said the President, “Keep at it. You will have your nuclear bomb, along with many more to help us dominate the world.”

Finally, the President said, “Allah Akbar,” as the group left the room.

“How quick can you get an arrest warrant?” Barry asked Duncan.

He replied, “When is the President due back?”

Aiden responded, “Tomorrow night around eight.”

“Okay,” Barry said, “I’ll be at Andrews Air Force Base by seven. Duncan, you might want to bring some agents with you, just in case. I will speak to the head of the Secret Service, but I don’t know how the President’s detail will react when we make the arrest.”

Aiden interjected, “Watch what you say to the Secret Service. We don’t want to spook the President or his detail.”

Barry replied, “I understand. By the way, I suggest that you hang back, as the CIA has no authority on U.S. soil. I don’t want any confusion. We need a clean arrest.”

The men said their goodbyes and filed out the door, except Stephen. “What now, Director?”

Aiden removed his suit coat, and tossed it on the table. “We have some work to do before tomorrow night, and I don’t want to trust anyone else to handle the job. You know what we have to do.”

“Don’t worry; I’ve got the matter covered.”

Three black SUV’s and the Presidential limousine pulled up to the red carpet, which was already in place for the President’s arrival. The first car contained the secret service detail, which will take over once the President is off of Air Force One, along with the Director of the Secret Service.

The second limousine held Duncan Eddy and four FBI agents, outfitted with bullet proof vests. He fidgeted with the arrest warrant for the President. He was going to be the first law enforcement officer to ever arrest an American president and he was nervous.

The President’s limo was next and parked directly at the end of the red carpet. The Attorney General was seated in the back where the President would usually sit. He waited, apprehensive of what they all were going to do. In the last twenty-four hours, he reviewed every law book that he could find on treason and the office of the President. This was a first. Never was a President of the United States arrested for anything.

The engines on Air Force One were put into reverse and the jumbo 747 turned off of the main runway and headed for the secured parking area of Andrews Air Force Base, where the President would disembark and enter his limo for the short ride to the White House after waving to the cameras.

Shortly after the engines were silenced, the door to Air Force One swung open and the President appeared. He returned the salute from the Marine guard, as he stepped from the stairway. A few photographers were on hand and snapped several photos for their morning editions, as the President strolled down the red carpet toward the limousines.

Just as the President reached his car, the door opened and the Attorney General stepped out, surprising the President, who came to an abrupt stop. At the same time, the President noticed the FBI approaching from his left, while the new Secret Service detail moved around behind him, relieving the previous detail.

“Mr. President, we need to talk,” said Barry Brent.

Bewildered, the President was speechless, as the Director of the FBI walked up and said, “Mr. President, I have a warrant for your arrest.”

The Director signaled one of the agents, who asked the President to put his hands behind him, as another agent gave the President his Miranda Rights.

“What is the meaning of this, Barry,” inquired the President.

“Please step into the limo, Mr. President, and I will explain.”

As all of this was transpiring, Aiden Melrose was sitting in the last SUV with Stephen Dodd. Both were intent on what was going on with the President. As suggested by Barry Brent, they did not become involved.

The President took a step forward toward his limousine when the front of his shirt turned a crimson red, as the 50 caliber bullet tore through his heart and struck the FBI agent behind the President. Luckily, the agent had on a Kevlar vest.

The ex Navy Seal walked away from the roof, dropping an Arab headdress, a worn copy of the Koran, and a Barrett M82 sniper rifle, which had the fingerprints of a Pakistani assassin, who was recently released from an undisclosed CIA location.

“Our man is one hell of a shot. He did his job well. See to it that he gets a bonus. Check out the scene, and then call the Vice President. Congratulate him on being our next president,” Aiden said to Stephen, as Steven reached
for the door handle.

  “Oh…” added Aiden.

  Stephen hesitated and looked back.

“You might mention to the Vice President that he will have an international crisis on his hands.”
