The spiral inside of her began to spin faster and faster until her muscles were so taut she wondered if they’d start cramping.
Jodi reached out toward Walt with her other hand, smoothing her palm up over the taut muscles in his thigh and higher still. She moaned when the soft skin encasing his testes brushed the back of her hand, and she turned her hand over, cupping him.
His fingers tightened in her hair and though she was careful not to hurt him, she gently rolled and massaged his balls while she sucked his dick into her mouth toward the back of her throat. When her gag reflex kicked in she backed off a bit and licked the underside of his dick with her tongue. He groaned and growled, and when she felt his leg shaking against her shoulder, she realized he was close to coming.
Emmet dipped a finger into the top of her slit, caressed down through her folds toward his dick, and gathered up some of her cream before he made the return journey. He circled the pad of his wet finger around and around her throbbing clit but avoided touching the aching nub.
She groaned with frustration and was just about to pull her mouth from Walt’s cock to tell him to stop teasing her, but Walt spoke before she could. “I’m so fucking close. Send her over, Emmet.”
Emmet speared his dick into her pussy and at the same time, he brushed his finger over her distended nub. She moaned and panted, enveloping Walt’s cock with her mouth before pulling up again. Emmet pressed more firmly onto her clit, then started rubbing the bundle of nerves hard and fast.
Dirk shoved into her ass, and as he drew back, he rasped out, “Faster. Harder.” He retreated to the tip of his dick then slammed back into her. This time as Dirk and Emmet pumped their hips, they pounded in and out of her.
Jodi licked, sucked, slurped, and cupped Walt’s cock and balls, determined to send him over the edge first. However, she didn’t count on Dirk and Emmet changing things up again.
Dirk pulled back until the head of his dick was just lodged in the entrance of her ass and Emmet retreated until his cock was resting inside her pussy. The two men held still for a beat or two, and then they plunged into her together as Emmet squeezed her clit between his finger and thumb.
Jodi’s cry of rapture as she hurled toward the heavens was muffled as she took Walt’s dick deeply into her mouth. His cock pulsed as it expanded, and then he roared as he started to come. She quivered and quaked, her whole body trembling as she came hard. She gulped and swallowed each time Walt’s juices spurted over the back of her tongue and down her throat.
Dirk grunted as he drove his dick into her ass before retreating, and as he surged back in again, he shouted, “Jodi!”
“Fuck yeah,” Emmet gasped out before he yelled her name as he, too, reached his peak. “Jodi!”
The ecstasy washing over her was so powerfully intense she felt lightheaded. Walt eased his cock from her mouth, panting and gasping for breath as he dropped to his hands and knees on the bed beside her.
She felt so weak and was still trembling and couldn’t stop herself from flopping onto Emmet as she tried to get her breath back. Though she’d made love to her three men one after the other, nothing had prepared her for the euphoria she’d experienced when all three of them made love to her together.
Even though she was as weak as a newborn baby and she was still trembling, her heart was so full of love and happiness, tears threatened. Thankfully, she had her eyes closed and her men couldn’t see the welling tears, because they probably would have thought they’d hurt her. That was so far from the truth it wasn’t even funny.
She was so happy and full of elation, she could barely contain it.
Jodi was so deeply in love with Walt, Dirk, and Emmet she wanted to tell them how she felt, but it was way too soon for her to lay her heart out on her sleeve. There was so much going on in her life right now, she was scared to tell them how she felt.
Firstly, while she knew they cared for her, she wasn’t sure if they loved her.
Secondly, she was being targeted by assholes who seemed to like playing with her and scaring her.
Jodi decided it was best to keep mum about what was in her heart, to give her and her men more time to get to know each other and the cops time to try and figure out who it was that seemed to delight in making her life a living hell.

He could virtually feel the boss man breathing down his neck. Time was running out, and he still hadn’t found the packages or figured out how to get his hands on that bitch. The only way he could see himself continuing to breathe was if he got his hands on the slut and took her to his leader.
“Fuck!” He ran his fingers through his hair and started pacing. That fucking cunt was now living with three cops, which made his task that much harder, but he had to find a way to get to her.
His line of work made it easier to be in the know, to find out what was going on with the whore, but right now his ease at getting information wasn’t worth a damn.
He startled when his phone started ringing on the small secondhand coffee table located near the sagging sofa and walked over toward it. When he saw who was calling his heart started racing and sweat broke out on his brow. He didn’t want to answer the call, but if he didn’t the boss was likely to send one of his other goons to town. If that happened, he wouldn’t be breathing for long.
Right now, he wished that the kingpin hadn’t taken an interest in him. If he hadn’t, he’d still be in Denver, working and going about his business without a target on his back.
“Boss,” he said in way of greeting.
“What the fuck is taking so long? You should have found the packages by now and been back here,” Parker shouted.
“There’s been a few complications.”
“I don’t give a motherfucking shit. You have three days, and if you don’t have what I want by the end of the third day… well, I’m sure I don’t have to spell it out.”
He stared at the phone when it was disconnected. Three days wasn’t long, but it was all he had. It was time to up the ante and work out how to get his hands on that bitch.
Scaring her hadn’t seemed to have worked, but at least he’d had the chance to get into her place and search the joint, but the packages hadn’t been there. Either the last tenant had been making deals behind the boss’s back or he hidden it so well, no one was ever going to find it.
He needed to go back the house and search again, but he was going to take that cunt with him. She’d been living there for just over twelve months and knew the place better than he did. She might be able to suggest a few hiding places he hadn’t thought of.
When the hair on the back of his neck stood on end, he gazed about the small one bedroom apartment frenetically. Had the boss man sent one or more of his thugs to watch him? Nothing would surprise him, but he wasn’t going to let any of the other assholes in the business get a lead on him. He’d beat the information out of the cunt if he had to, and when he was done with her, he’d slit her fucking throat.
He’d only been in town for a nigh on three months and had even met the bitch a time or two. Thankfully, she had no idea who or what he was or what he represented, and he aimed to keep it that way.
He’d had hired two druggies from a town over as well as one of the other men working for the drug lord to frighten the slut, but the boss had called his partner in crime back to the city for some other job he wanted doing. Now, it was up to him and him alone to get those packages so he could hand them over to his king and appease the crazy bastard. He didn’t trust the men he’d hired at all. They were so high on dope he’d been worried they were going to fuck up and get caught.
He sighed.
Was this a test? Was his leader testing him to see how far he’d go? Probably, and while that didn’t concern him too much, he was worried about his time limit.
The Regan woman worked in a shop in town and while he was tempted to try and get her during the light of day, it was a huge-ass risk. Tomorrow was Monday, and hopefully, she’d be back at work. He was also
lucky enough to have the next two days off, and if he needed to, he’d call in sick so he had an extra day.
He was going to have to disguise himself and steal a car since the fucking deputies and sheriffs knew what vehicle he drove. That would be easy enough to do, and he hoped a hat and some sunglasses would be enough to disguise him.
The men in this fucked up town were all retired military and way more vigilant than the average man, but he was no naïve teenager, either. His line of work had taught him how to handle himself, and he wasn’t stupid.
He’d leave his shithole of a temporary home early, and after he’d stolen a car and changed the number plates on the vehicle, he’d head back here to watch and wait.
Wednesday had to be D-day, and even though he was nervous, he was also full of determined resolve.
One way or the other he’d get that cunt in his clutches, and if she didn’t hand over the stuff, he’d tie her up and take her back to Denver with him for the boss to deal with. If he gave his leader some leverage, surely the boss wouldn’t put a gun to his head and pull the trigger.
No, he was going to come out of this looking like the golden boy. There was no way he was dying because some slut had managed to dupe him.
If anyone was going to be killed it was her.
Chapter Sixteen
“I don’t want you going to work,” Walt stated emphatically, his arms crossed over his chest.
Jodi met his stare with a determined one of her own and mimicked his pose. “I don’t care what you want, Walt. This is my livelihood.” She jabbed a finger toward him. “I’m not letting some sick fucker stop me from living my life. Talia’s already had to deal with things on her own, and I’m not letting her down again.”
“You didn’t let her down, baby. You were in a fucking car accident for fuck’s sake.”
“So.” She flung her hands into the air. “I’m fine now. My muscles are no longer stiff and sore, and I’m eager to get back to work.”
“We can’t protect you,” Walt said hoarsely.
Jodi sighed and her anger waned. She understood that Walt, Dirk, and Emmet were only trying to keep her safe, but she’d reasoned out that she should be fine as long as she didn’t leave the shop. “I’m sorry for yelling at you, and I know you’re just trying to protect me, but there’s no need. I’ll stay inside the shop all day long and won’t even step a foot outside the door. You all don’t even know if these bastards are targeting me other than trying to scare me out of my home. Since I’m no longer there, they can do whatever the hell they like. I don’t care if they burn the place down. The possessions still there are just stuff and can be easily replaced. They’ve already trashed most of my things anyway. There’s not much more than can do that will upset me.”
“We just hate the thought of you being alone and in danger, sweetie.” Dirk caressed a finger down her cheek.
“I know, and I understand because I wouldn’t want you all to be in danger either, but you face danger every day. You don’t let that stop you from going back out to arrest criminals and make things safer for the rest of us. You don’t let fear rule your decisions and your life and you shouldn’t expect that of me, either.
“I’m sick of being scared. I want to face these assholes head on, deal with whatever it is they want, finish it, and move on with my life.”
Emmet moved in behind her, wrapped an arm around her waist, and tugged her against his body. Heated shivers ripped up her spine, but Jodi tried to ignore her desire. If her men were going to drive her to work and start their shifts on time, they needed to head out soon, but first she need to convince them that she’d be safe in her shop.
Although there were always people entering and leaving the new shop, if she was being targeted, the perpetrator would have to be an idiot to try and make a move on her in broad daylight and in front other people. The men in town would spring into action and take the asshole down before he could blink.
Dirk sighed. “As much as I hate to admit it, Jodi’s right.”
“Are you crazy?” Emmet snarled.
“No, and you know it.” Dirk frowned. “We wouldn’t let anyone disrupt our lives if we were in her situation. You’d want to face this thing head on.” He met Jodi’s gaze. “If you promise to stay inside the shop after we drop you off and make sure you have your cell phone on you at all times, I think you’ll be safe.”
“You can’t guarantee her safety, Dirk,” Walt snapped.
“None of us can,” Dirk replied angrily. “As much as we all want to wrap our woman up in cotton wool so she never gets hurt and is no longer in danger, that’s no way to live.”
Jodi was kind of surprised that Dirk was now on her side, but she wasn’t about to tell him that. She was glad that he’d changed his mind and wasn’t about to question his capitulation.
Even though Walt nodded his agreement, he still didn’t look happy and neither did Emmet. She decided that tonight after they all got home, she’d try and make it up to them. Heat curled in her lower belly and her nipples hardened, but she quickly pushed her desire to make love with her men from her mind. They needed to leave or they’d all end up being late.
She was just thankful that her men’s shifts were coinciding with the hours she worked. If they hadn’t they probably would have locked her up in the house and never let her out. While she loved that they were so protective of her, she hoped they didn’t end up changing their minds and trying to lay down the law to her. If they did, she would argue until she got her way. She might seem like a docile person on the outside, but she would stand up for herself if it was necessary. Jodi was no doormat and never had been. Her life had been tough with only herself to rely on, but she’d learnt that sticking up for herself was a must sometimes.
“Do you have your cell phone, love?” Emmet asked.
She dug into the purse she’d slung over her shoulder, gripped her phone, pulled it out, and handed it to Emmet. He swiped his finger over the screen to activate and sighed before handing it back to her. “You already have our numbers on speed dial. If at any time you’re scared or worried, you call one of us. We’ll be at the shop as fast as we can. Okay?”
“Okay.”
Walt grasped her chin, turning her gaze up to his. “Promise me that you won’t leave the store, baby. I don’t want to be worrying about you being in danger.”
“I promise, Walt.”
“When you see Talia give her our cell phone numbers and get her to program them into her phone. She can call us any time she needs to, as well. All right?” Dirk quirked a brow.
“As soon as she steps in the door. I promise.” Jodi placed a hand over her heart and met each of her men’s eyes. “I’ll be fine. You’ll see. You’re all worrying over nothing.” Even though she heard the words coming out of her mouth, her belly tightened into a small knot of dread, but she put her trepidation down to what she’d already been dealing with. There was no need for her to be scared anymore. She was no longer living in that remote rental house with no neighbors. She’d called her landlord and was thankful he’d let her out of her lease without having to pay him another cent. He’d been apologetic in regard to the problems she’d been having and had decided not to release the house until the danger was over. She was now living with the three men who’d managed to quickly steal her heart. She was safe and in love, and she wasn’t going to let anything destroy her newfound happiness.

“Hi Jodi,” Talia greeted as she entered the shop and glanced about. “Did you get here at the crack of dawn?”
“No, but I arrived earlier than usual so my guys could drop me off.”
Talia smiled as she walked toward her. “You look happy. In fact, I’d say that you’re practically glowing.” Jodi blushed and smiled. Talia pulled her into a hug. “They’re good men and I can tell you love them.”
Jodi drew back and gaped at her business colleague and friend. “It is that obvious?” she asked.
“Probably not to everyone, but I’ve
gotten to know you a bit over the last month or so. You always seemed so sad, but now there’s a twinkle in your eyes.”
“You should look in the mirror,” Jodi stated. “There is no way anyone who sees you couldn’t know you’re happy and in love.”
Talia nodded. “This is a great town. I have to admit when I first got here after I’d recovered from my injuries, I was shocked to learn about the polyamorous relationships, and I never thought I’d be involved in one.”
“Would you change anything if you could?” Jodi asked.
“Hell no. Not even the beating I got or being kidnapped a second time. I would never have met my men if all of those things hadn’t happened to me. Would you?”
“Not really. I wish the people or person who’d been scaring me was behind bars, but since I’m now living with my men, I don’t think I have any need to worry. Whoever broke into my house had ample opportunity to find whatever it was they were looking for. I think they’re probably long gone by now.”
Talia nodded. “Is there anything left for me to do, or did you do it all?”
“Everything’s ready for the day. All we have to do is unlock the doors and hope we’re busy.”
“I don’t think you need to worry about that,” Talia said then headed toward the backroom. “Let me put my stuff away and I’ll unlock the door.”
Jodi followed Talia from the shop to the large storage break room. “My guys want me to give you their cell phone numbers, just in case.”
“Sure.” Talia put her purse in the cupboard after retrieving her phone. “Can you forward them to me?” Jodi nodded, copied the numbers, and texted them to Talia’s cell phone number. Her friend then entered them and saved them to her contact list. “Do your guys still think you’re in danger?”
Jodi shrugged. “I think they’re just taking cautionary measures.”
